Re: Are there....
I rather like the idea of enslaving Vampires. Give them a taste of their own medicine!
Leave it to Mankind to try and find a way to put a leash on a deity. LOL. Maybe the Human Cultists can even use their thralled Vampires to become moles in the current Vampire societies and factions, building up their database on who the best ‘Gods’ are and who they can enslave next for... whatever their purpose is.
You could even start to go into the realm Illuminati with this idea. Maybe they want to control the world and do so by using Vampire powers to make events happen and make it look like they’re the good guys for cleaning up the mess?
I’m not sure how the grid will work in terms of the idea, but as you’ve said, this is mostly a RP idea right now.
Personally, I only really know how to play a Paladin and a Sorcerer and even then, I didn’t/haven’t played them very well. I found playing a Blood Thief so frustrating that I just gave up.

Re: Are there....
Yeah. Enslaving them does do that. .. but I want to do something other than vamps vs humans all the time. I think the storyline for that dies out so quick.
And yeah. This is right now, mostly a writers sort of idea, but I don't see why someone can't feed off enthralled vamps or use them to raid.

Re: Are there....
Why did you find bt's frustrating? I loved playing one.
If I made a human-they'd prob become this for this idea.
Which means I need a pally charrie and a sorc. I'd like to have one of each before signing on to this idea. >=
Tho I'm not against playing either class. Is just a pref. I'm not fussed.
Bethy, what would you want to play?
:)

Re: Are there....
I found Blood Thieves frustrating because to play it fairly and gain PXP, it was next to impossible. Finding a NPC Vampire to bite on was infuriatingly difficult without Rituals and Buddies to help.
If my character tends to be the loner type and I don’t agree with biting on players’ Vampires because they offered OOCly, then my only choice was to find a Vampire NPC to bite. These were almost impossible to find. Your only chance was to try and find one using Rituals or go out there and waste all your Stamina, hoping and praying you’ll come across one eventually – every freaking day.
I suck at the Rituals. I find it annoying that the stupid symbols change on me and I have to stat my character specifically to do Rituals which might go against the character’s very nature. So yeah, annoying.
Paladins are fine to play on the grid, even if their RP existence is as boring as hell. You’re basically a Vampire Hunter and that is all you are. *yawns* There’s nothing to even do RP wise with your Paladin because the Faction that brought you into the fold of becoming a Paladin is NPC. >.<
Blood Thieves have an interesting story to them, with plenty of RP opportunities even if they do suffer from the same problems as the paladins. Still, they are too hard to play on the grid.
Sorcerers are probably the better option because you can technically become a Sorcerer at any point in your character’s RP life. So, they could effectively be born magical and it gives you more to work with. I would never start the game as a Human and path to the Sorcerer, however. The Quest annoys the ever-living sh*t out of me. Stupid wolves…
Plain Humans are impossible to play in a world focused entirely on Vampires and especially on the Masquerade idea. Humans have no chance in hell of doing anything but becoming food. You can say that there’s strength in numbers, but there are no numbers in this game – just NPCs. It gets boring, fast.
As far as I can see it, to keep the mortal populace alive, you need to give them a reason to find Humans interesting. Personally, I’m not seeing much of one – grid wise or RP wise – which is why I would love to have more people interested in doing anything!

Re: Are there....
Well.... can't we combine your pavilion idea and mine together with tweaks and see where that goes?

Re: Are there....
Well that idea cuts out both of my humans...
Isabeau is a die-hard disbeliever of the Paranormal and Dawn fully believes she IS a vampire (she also has a think for killing her own kind and other vampire "enemies")

Re: Are there....
Sorry.
Though maybe later we could plot with dawn....as in her being an antagonist to the group?

Re: Are there....
Perhaps. :) though I have to agree with what Myk said earlier, playing a human is boring as HELL on here. I'm still contemplating killing off Isabeau because I have nothing to do with her.

Re: Are there....
You're sill welcome to use Kestrel if you want. He's a sorc, and I'm pretty sure he hasn't encountered any of your other chars. He knows about the masq, but currently considers vamps the enemy.
Also, I just wanted to add, I've really enjoyed playing my pure human. It's all purely for RP, as he has zero grid advantages, but telling stories from that perspective are a lot of fun. But I can see how it's not for everybody, or even most people, if they're here to play a super powered char. I like horror fiction, and things like Cthulu RPGs, where you know your char is completely out of their element and more than likely going to get killed before the game's over. Lol

Re: Are there....
It is! But we can change that!
Joooin us!
Fyi: someone claimed a paladin spot. I need at least one sorc or bt volunteer to actually put this into motion.
Does this mean other people can't claim a pally spot? Nope. I just want the other needed spots to be claimed!
Idk if kestrel will work. We are co-existing with vamns in the fold. But your pure blood is always welcomed!
