He had turned into her prey.
He had hurt one of her own.
“Does it make you feel like big man to hurt little women?” Pulling her gun from her side, she flicked the safety back off and aimed it at his heart. The desire to fire the entire clip into his chest caused her to tremble, and she knew in that moment that the last of her sanity was wearing off. She didn’t know this man – nothing would protect him from her. Clenching her fist against her side, she tightened her finger over the trigger. There was a voice in the back of her mind, something warning her to not attack him – but she could only taste the urge to destroy him on her tongue. Snapping her teeth together, she reached out and twisted her fingers around his wrist, the burn of her touch leaving her mark on his skin. It wasn’t enough, however, to make him loosen his hold on the shard – and she grew furious.
Throwing his hand from him, the scent of burnt flesh filled the air as she gave a cruel, cold smile. “It is shame that I cannot watch you burn,” she hissed, the anger causing her gun to shake. Her sight had gone red, the man in front of her disappearing as another took his place. It was all she had left to think straight, and she quickly shook her head as she kept her gun trained on him. There was two ways to handle a situation like this – shoot first, or draw it out to be slow and painful. She was going for the latter. She knew she wouldn’t be able to take the shard from him right then, but she could stay on him until he dropped it – or someone else came along to take it from him. Not taking her eyes off of him, she kept the gun leveled as she tilted her head once again, her gold gaze assessing him.
"Mikale does not belong to you."
