My Precious [Tytonidae]
--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
<Velveteen> They had been preparing for the next auction which wasn’t happening until October but being that they liked to offer an array of various yet popular options it did not hurt to get a head start. So far the response had been awesome. Velveteen expected no less though. When Ty had a job to do it was usually done with little fuss and this was no exception. She was more than pleased with the contributions that had been made so far though she had to make sure it was listed and stored away safely until they were needed. She had enlisted Micah’s help....well dragged him along to help more like but the extra hands made the task that much less frustrating. “I hope we are going to have enough time to auction all this stuff. They have really outdone themselves on this.”
<Micah> He had put up a fuss about helping but truthfully he didn’t mind. Four hands were better than two after all. The amount of items that they had gathered so far was pretty impressive and with a couple of months left to go until the auction, it was possible that they’d have enough for the upcoming one and future ones as well. Taking inventory wasn’t a task that he enjoyed but it was their job. If they had asked, Micah was sure that they would be able to acquire a few volunteers and while the task was tedious it wasn’t something he felt should be put off on someone else. “We can start it earlier. Have fewer intermissions. Run it over the course of a couple days maybe. We’ll figure it out.”
<Velveteen> She smiled and nodded, taking extra care while wrapping several faeshards that had been donated for the cause. She sat back on her haunches and held one up, inspecting it a little more closely. “‘Tis funny how valuable these things are yet we don’t even know what they do. I don’t get it.” She questioned idly, twisting the pretty yet otherwise useless item over in her hand as if it might impart the secret it held.
<Micah> He opened a box and counted the amount of Titan Bracelets that were inside. Hmm. Should be enough. He placed the box back in the lockbox and made a notation on the piece of paper that held a list of everything they had gathered. “I don’t either but maybe people just want them because of that fact?” He shrugged. “Something mysterious they just have to have.” Micah didn’t see what the big deal was but people were ******* strange after all.
<Velveteen> “Mmm...true. We already have a couple of these particular ones though. I might set this one aside for now. Wait till we have a full tally.” The shard was set on the ritual altar for safe keeping for the moment. Once they were done it would either go in with the rest, returned or stored away for the next auctions. “I do hope we have a few more people come for a look. I kinda have fun at the last one.”

<Micah> He nodded his head. “Yeah it wasn’t bad. I didn’t expect that many people to show up honestly. That they did was a little surprising.” He had figured that it was a Ty event so people wouldn’t bother to show. He had been surprised to find the opposite had occurred. “Oh **** I just realized that I didn’t attune you to do the inchno ritual. Let me do that and I’ll get back to helping you.” He set the box he had just pulled from the lockbox and moved to the altar.
<Velveteen> A cheeky grin crept across her reddened lips. It sounded like the perfect time for a break and she loved watching her husband work the ritual magicks. It was extremely sexy. “Sounds good. And I shall take a break from this extremely tiresome task while you do that.” She said all dramatic like. The task was really neither hard nor tiresome but any excuse was a good one in the current moment. A glint of something wicked yet playful danced in her eyes as she eyed him. ‘Got everything you need, Lover?”
<Micah> He pulled a bag out from underneath the altar and sifted through the contents. One by one the items he needed for the ritual were extracted from the depths of the bad and placed on the surface of the altar. The bag was replaced and the items were dumped into the middle of the circle to summon the demifae. “No I have everything here. Just give me a couple minutes and you can get your ritual done.”
<Velveteen> As usual it was over all too quickly and she couldn’t help but slightly disappointed. She loved watching him make the demi-fae his ***** and the battle ensued as he forced his bidding upon them. “You have gotten far too good with that ****. The demi-fae barely even argue all more. Before long you wont even need to do the ritual they will just come when you beckon and go do whatever you ask. Save themselves the trouble.” She truly hoped not but it was possible right? Suddenly though not surprisingly the auction items were quickly forgotten. “Actually, I could use a little help with my...ritualling. Wanna come upstairs and give me a private lesson?” Her smirk was unmistakable. Somethings could wait, her desire could not.
<Micah> The grin that appeared on his face was utterly wicked. “Why woman, I ain’t ever hear a better idea. I’d be glad to give you a few lessons in….ritualing.” The leftover items were forgotten as he abandoned the altar in favor of grabbing her hand to pull her to the elevator. Both of them failed to notice the now glowing shard that had been sitting right outside the circle the entire time. It was all but forgotten as the doors of the elevator closed, cutting them off from the rest of the faction.

Re: My Precious [Tytonidae]
Niklaus wasn’t used to the Eyrie, AT ALL, he still couldn’t believe it was a tree house. He didn’t really like trees, now… a tree house? He always imagined everything falling down someday, CRASH, BOOM! It wasn’t that he had a fear of heights; rather that he was a large man, heavy too. And heavy objects didn’t land pretty when falling from that kind of height. “Drop by the Eyrie and come socialize” Velveteen said, so there he was, taking the elevator in a damn tree house to this common area where Tytonidae members hung out. It was going to be weird, he knew it, there weren’t many members he knew from back then. That was probably a good thing in itself though; he did remember he didn’t get along with some of the former members when Tytonidae had just been founded. It felt like a fresh start, a new beginning and he would actually work on meeting everyone this time, Niklaus liked to know what made people tick.
“Velve? Micah?”, he called out as he entered the room, frowning as he didn’t spot anyone else around. Unlike the Andras common area at Pandemonium which was crowded most of the time, this place was deserted or… wait. It was a hazing ritual or something, wasn’t it? It started to make sense, maybe someone was hiding, waiting to jump him and stick a bag on his head – yeah, not happening. He approached the ritual altar, attracted by the glowing object. “The **** is this?” he muttered to himself, reaching out with a finger and merely touching the surface of the shard. Glowing things usually were hot, he wasn’t going to be stupid now but this one wasn’t. It was just there, glowing, it was time for a better inspection. “Okay then. This was left here for me to find, obviously. Now… to figure out what it does or where it leads me.” – the Killer’s first thoughts. Come on, it was Velveteen and Micah. Maybe this was their messed up idea of a treasure hunt or ‘solve this puzzle’ kind of game.
Deciding that the shard was more or less harmless and promptly lifting it into his palm for a better look. This wasn’t any light tricks, there were no lasers either. The **** was glowing in his palm as he held it, the longer he had it in his possession he just knew it – “I gotta win at this thing, whatever it is.” But it wasn’t going to be so easy, was it? He wasn’t the only person who got the invitation, he knew that much and he liked to win at things too so that was the first plan. Quickly glancing around for a replacement to what he ‘acquired’, something similar-looking. Yes, this other shard, even if it wasn’t glowing - placing it right outside the circle where he found his glowing shard, yes, his shard, he found it. He was going to keep it. The Killer unzipped his bag and stuck it beneath a change of clothes, looking around to make sure no one spotted his act of thie-- 'acquiring' his new shard. That bag wasn’t going to leave him anytime soon, count on it. Then as casual as ever, he would simply exit the room to find himself somewhere comfortable to sit, waiting for the rest of the gang to show up, or whoever else. He could just have run home and texted Velveteen something like "Found it, I win!" But where was the fun in that?

Re: My Precious [Tytonidae]
The Eyrie. It was her home most nights. Now that she was a married woman did like to play cat and mouse with her wife. Spending some nights at the hotel - and in their bed. Doing god knows what to each other, and some nights she would be here. Crafting getting her face and hair dirty because the crafting bench was the one of the main focal points on the second floor of the treehouse. Yet, Nishaa arrived here on the second floor expecting to see a crowd. There was going to be a gathering here - she was sure of it. She was -sure- that was what the memo had said. She brought her phone out to look over the texts and found nothing. With a shake of her head and a red satchel bag slung over her shoulder full of stolen goods from her thieving skills.
Onyx hues look towards the crafting bench as she drops her bag of goodies onto the floor as she kneels down herself and begins to look through it. She needed the nuts and bolts, some chems, everything she could use to make traps with. She withdrew what she could use and got to work - she didn’t realise she wasn’t alone at first. She didn’t see Niklaus sitting on the sofa. No, she was too focused on building a bear trap. They were her favourite not because they were so easy to assemble, but because when placed correctly. They chopped off limbs or broke something. Ah, it was music to her ears.
She heard a rattle then and the necromancer spun on her heel to look for the noise. Yet, when she saw Niklaus she was about to shout his name - and go over and say hi. She hadn’t met the man fully yet - only in passing and through Andras. He was Velveteen’s through adoption, which made him family. Everyone in Tytonidae were connected to Andras in some way or another. It was nice. A faction full of family - or mostly made up of family, but as she was about to speak to the back of Niklaus’s head - she was instantly drawn to the backpack to the side of him. She canted her head.
There was just something about that bag that was inviting her in. There was something about it that she couldn’t pull her eyes from. With a inward breathe she stealthily made her way over. She wasn’t one to steal from family or faction mates, but something in her gut told her to take a peek, take a small peek just to see what had grabbed her attention so fully. Plucking his bag up quietly she opened it up only to be greeted by dirty clothes she wrinkled her nose and as she rummaged further she found something.
It was a shard. He had a shard in his bag, she had one of her own - but this one. This one was MUCH prettier than her own. Oh yes, it was like a diamond in the rough and she just had to have it. He wouldn’t mind if she just took it. Plucking the shard from his bag she quietly put it back in it the spot she had found it and creeped away quietly. No wonder Nishaa was such a good thief if she could do this crap, and not get caught.
Nishaa stared intently at the shard as she made her way back to the crafting bench she twirled it in her fingertips, admiring it - even smoothing the shard at times as if it was some kind of adorable kitten that needed love. Once she felt she had given it enough attention she placed it in her bra. No one would think to look for the shard in her bra. No. No one would be brave enough to put their hand down her bra either. Her tits had fangs.

Re: My Precious [Tytonidae]
I had left Micah and Every in the umbra knowing they would be out. Every even emailed me and thanked me. I didn't reply. I don't do sentimental, my presence in the umbra would let her know that she is important to me, even if only as a faction mate. When I saw her face to face again, I'd tell her, it's all cool, and leave it at that.
Which might be tonight, but hopefully not. I wanted to make sure Micah was back and Vel wasn't on the train to Crazytown again. That everything was as 'fine' as she said it was. I head up the elevator and go to the floor everyone is usually on, but I don't see Velveteen or Micah. Instead I see Nishaa and Niklaus and I turn my attention to Nishaa. I know her, she's familiar. "Hey Nishaa." I nod to her and then look at her boobs.
I can't help it. There's something not right about her boobs. I mean, I don't know a whole heck of a lot about boobs other than their uses for infants and only recently how nice they felt because I liked my wife's boobs. A lot. I wasn't staring because I liked the look of Nishaa's boobs, but one was bigger than the other. Noticeably.
Something was sticking out of her boob. Was it a dagger? Did she get stabbed and was it still inside? Or was she holding her own dagger in bra? "Hey, Nishaa. You okay?" I move towards her, but don't wait until she's even said anything before I teleport right in front of her and reach my hand right in her bra and grab her boob. Oops.
"Well, that feels about right." I nod, pull my hand out and take a step backwards. "Thought there was something in there. Glad you're okay." I'm still not sure something isn't there, so I just stare at Nishaa. Or more like her boobs.

Re: My Precious [Tytonidae]
Niklaus had decided to browse Crownet on his phone just for a moment to see if he had any messages from either Velveteen or Micah. It wouldn’t have made any sense if the game just stopped there, there had to be another clue somewhere. The shard, his shard must have had another use. Maybe it was a key, or had to be placed somewhere to open a secret door. The male wasn’t used to the Eyrie but it looked like the kind of tree house that had secret passages and rooms. Deep into his thoughts trying to figure out how to solve this puzzle and he neither noticed the arriving Nishaa, nor the way she discreetly reached into his bag to steal HIS shard, how rude!
Okay, maybe the next clue was inside the Eyrie itself, after all. Slipping his phone back into his pocket and regaining his senses – quickly glancing behind him to find Nishaa and another man he didn’t recognize, that was Roderic. Funniest thing ever was that Roderic was… groping Nishaa’s tits or something?! When did they get here? WHAT was even happening? The Killer stood up and moved towards the pair, “Hey Nishaa, hey Nishaa’s…friend. Am I interrupting something?” he inquired coyly.
Wait a moment… Nishaa and that guy were probably Tytonidae members. Either they were in on VelveMicah’s plans and were just sent here to distract him from his mission, or else, they were competitors too. “Stay focus, Niklaus”, he reminded himself mentally. Quickly unzipping his bag and reaching inside. “Huh…”, he started fumbling around, yanking the hoodie he had inside, some extra magazines too. Where was it?! The damn shard was in his back less than five minutes ago, no chance of having misplaced it, but he wasn’t alone anymore too so it had to be either Nishaa or Roderic! Pleasantries first, then business. “I don’t think we know each other, I’m Niklaus”, he added to Rod, turning his gaze towards Nishaa next, then at what the other man seemed to have been feeling up just a moment ago.
He REALLY doubted that was what Tytonidae members did to one another, feeling each other up for lulz?! Wait a moment… The moment of epiphany struck the Killer; Nishaa was a woman. Women hid things in their bra, ALL the damn time, didn’t they? But that shard was pretty big and it glowed. “Have any of your guys seen a shard thing, about yay big”, he explained with his hands, “And glowing with radiation? I was holding on to it until I got it somewhere safe and it just…”, eyeing the two individuals in front of him one after another. “Disappeared.” No one would hide a supposedly radioactive object near their tits, right? Yes, he made the radiation up but he wasn’t against using underhanded tactics to get the job done. Nodding at Roderic before glancing at Nishaa. Two boys, one girl. Team up time? He started to inspect the woman's chest too now, Roderic had a good eye. Some did seem off with that cleavage. "Hiding somethere thereeee, Nishaa?" he grinned.

Re: My Precious [Tytonidae]
She could feel a strange pull as the elevator came to a stop after leaving the third floor, one hand resting on the railing while the other held her tablet and hazel eyes stayed on the screen. Humming quietly to herself, she brushed her nails through her dark brown hair and set the device aside for the time being before the door slid open and she caught Niklaus’ words about a shard. The brunette’s eyebrow lifted as she noticed that Roderic was staring at her childe’s breasts, a soft shake of her head being given as she considered smacking the male upside the head. It was a strong temptation, really, but she figured Nishaa could handle herself.
As she stepped further into the room, Every could feel another pull of desire and felt a streak of confusion echo through her slender form as it was directed towards the woman. “Niklaus, I doubt you found a radioactive shard somewhere. It’s Harper Rock.” She scowled lightly at the male before she glanced back to Nishaa’s chest and noticed that it was a bit oddly shaped. Yes, her childe was certainly hiding something there. But what? Whatever it was, she wanted it.
She could feel it.
She needed it.
Every walked over to her childe and offered her a one armed hug, trying to push whatever she was hiding up high enough with her own bust enough to grab it. Just as she saw the tip of the shard, the brunette reached over quickly to take hold of the object. Her nails grasped it lightly and missed, a silent curse spoken inwardly before she pulled off a piece of lint from her top. “Sorry, that was bugging me.” That would be awkward to explain, but she gave her childe another squeeze before stepping back.

Re: My Precious [Tytonidae]
The elevator doors were heard opening and soon Every joined the party. Aw, damn it! Nishaa’s own sire to her rescue?! They were so close to breathing down her neck and making her take her top off! “Hey Every! And you never know, it’s Harper Rock. All kinds of crazy things happen here.” He murmured, glancing around from wall to wall. He was looking for just one thing, the light switch. It was obvious that no one was just going to -take- what they wanted and normally he would have done it by now if he wasn't supposed to be on his damn best behavior.
Niklaus couldn’t sabotage himself, he had to devise a plan and he already had. “Ah, there it is!” Finally spotting the switch and slowly making his way towards it, “How about I kill the lights and you guys help me find this thing?” he suggested, “It does -glow- in the dark.” Eyes settling onto the guiltiest party as he slapped the switch and the room fell into darkness. It had to be her, right? Not just one or two, but three people found her bosoms to be unusual by now. Every came the closest, with that awkward embrace but the much better thief was still holding the shard.
Perhaps the dark was going to make the current group less timid, more….gropey. He didn’t kill the lights for just one reason – to see the shard, no. His hunter’s vision was activated the moment the room went dark and he turned towards the group of three. THERE it was, pulsating with light as if screaming “Take me, take me!” and surprise, surprise – right at Nishaa’s chest area. “Well, I’m not the only one seeing this, am I?” Slowly making his way towards the entrance of the room, if asked he’d have just pretended he didn’t know the place well enough to be prancing around in the dark but thieves tended to be good at running too and if Nishaa ran out, the Eyrie could prove to be an epic hideout. It had hiding places everywhere, didn’t it?!

Re: My Precious [Tytonidae]
The shard was hers now. Pretty pretty shard. All hers.
She was humming now as she heard the elevator doors open and then the sound of footsteps against wood. She spun to look and found it was Roderic. She was getting antsy now that she was in the possession of the shard, something told her that she needed to protect it, protect it with her very life - that everyone and everything would try to steal it from it. She had a crazy look in her eye. Onyx hues looked this male over. She had to play it cool now. She couldn’t reveal that there was a pretty looking shard nestled in her boob area.
“Hey Roddy” She says in response to his greeting. Nishaa is usually calm when she talks to people, so she’s calm now. Yet, she can already feel his eyes on her chest. She makes no sudden movements. She used to love this sort of attention, she could shrug that **** off later. She smiled - fangs clearly on display as she turned her hues to Niklaus as he greets them both, but as she’s distracted looking at Niklaus. Roderic sticks his hand down her top and cups a feel of her tits and she just looks at him. Before swatting his hand away - she readjusts. The shard is still safely tucked away, nestled in her tits.
“Jesus Roddy, I know you're a guy and all. Touches someone's tits isn’t a good way to say hello.” She shakes her head, laughing it off - in a good ol Nishaa style. “Just warn me next time.” There was a shake of her raven mane before turning her hues to Every. Who had just turned up. Yet she turned her dark orbs back to Niklaus. “A shard?” She gave a shake of her head. “Can’t say I’ve seen it sorry.” Her voice was like silk. There was something behind her tone though. Something that was challenging. Oh yes, she had seen the shard - she had taken the shard, and now it was in her possession.
“Sorry Nik” She said. “I’m not hiding anything in my chest area, from what I’ve seen your a sleaze and obviously want to cop a feel.” Nishaa was a good liar, but it would depend if people bought into her lie. As she finally refocused on Every. Every had wrapped her arm around Nishaa’s shoulder and gave it a squeeze - Nishaa didn’t feel like she was trying to steal her shard and let her. Everyone was so solely focused on her and it was beginning to make her eyes twitch. Then, Every placed her hand down Nishaa’s top and removed what was that… lint?
“I always knew you wanted my boobs.” There was a coy smile now. Nishaa knew something was up. They were after her shard. HER. SHARD. She wasn’t having this. Every backed up and so did Nishaa. She could see the look in their eyes and the way they looked at her. She could see Niklaus heading for the light switch and she raised an eyebrow. He was going to try and steal her shard in the dark? She rolled her eyes but took a step back - heading slowly for the elevator.
The lights went out then, and Nishaa was left in the dark with people around her wanting her shiny rock. She flipped Niklaus the bird, knowing the general direction he was in. “ITS MINE” she screeched and opened the doors to the elevator. The light from the small box illuminated the small area before closing - separating her from group of handsy bastards. She punched in F3 on the small pad and let the metal box take her up. No one was going to get her shard. It was hers!
As the doors opened, she ran. She began to run!

Re: My Precious [Tytonidae]
Niklaus wasn’t the only one doing a fixation on Nishaa’s chest the moment the room went dark, he knew it. Everyone could see that beckoning light now, how it shut down all their rational thinking and reasoning and urged them to it rather. On a normal day, they would have all sat down and collaborated to find out what made the shard so special, why it glowed even. Shards didn’t normally glow, however pretty they might have been. But there was a higher power in play there, in the Eyrie. Some kind of force that was manipulating them into acquiring the damn shard, even if no one knew what it was, or what it actually did.
That short moment of admiring the beautiful shard proved to be costly, at least for the Killer. Next thing he knew Nishaa was…flipping him off then ran into the elevator! She was damn fast, that one. The first thing that Niklaus did was glance up at the elevator’s display, at which floor it pointed. F3, it said. At least she didn’t run right out! But what was there on F3? He had absolutely no idea, it was literally his first time in The Eyrie! Did the place have stairs? If it did, they were probably not safe – aka riddled with traps. That would be why everyone he knew tomed in or used the elevator. He couldn’t risk doing something stupid, getting caught in traps or worse – getting lost in a tree house. He didn’t like trees to begin with, remember?! **** trees!
The Killer breathed in and out slowly, maintaining his composure when all his instincts screamed for him to run to the elevator, to pry the door open and hell, use the cables to climb up! But would this be an intelligent thing to do? Absolutely not! It was starting to get harder and harder to think intelligently the more he was focusing on how he was going to get HIS shard back. He tossed a look at Every, then at Roderic to see how they’d react at the fleeing Nishaa. “Did she just…flip me off?!” he cackled. It was on, radiating shard or not, no one cared. They just NEEDED to have it. One shard to rule them all. If only he knew the layouts of the Eyrie, this would be so much easier. But two people did, and they were right here. Every and Roderic. “So… are we going after her or not?” he suggested, aiming to instigate a chase really. It was time for another game, Hide and Seek in the Eyrie!
