Klara noticed Doc looking at her and vada and lifted an eyebrow in question wondering why we was looking at her that way. She felt the lips on her cheek and smiled as vada went to sit down. He had been so sweet to have coming and staying this long while being sick and not liking crowds.

She was getting tired herself and went to check her vada "Honey you ok? We can leave if you want. I know you're not feel well and you've done good socializing. I'm really proud of you!"

Placing a kiss on his cheek, she laid her head on his shoulder and watched the others. She loved being near him. She really never knew a relationship could be like this. She was so happy. She looked up at him "Thank you vada."

[Juliet]

Juliet reminded herself that next time, she was definitely taking the night off for something like this as she left her boat house and continued to work from her phone as she made her way towards the pool hall. Her red heels clicked against the concrete and as she traded off between her phone and checking emails telepathically, she was able to happily decide that she had done enough for the evening.

Dressed in a pair of jeans and a simple black and white polka dot shirt, Juliet was comfortable as her blue eyes, the color seeming to have begun to shift between her own and Cassadee’s green, sparkled with happiness for the couple. She had never thought Roderic to get married, in all honesty, she didn’t think he ever would date.

Initially, when receiving the invite, she had read it over a few times and didn’t quite believe that it had happened, and then she’d been mad at Roderic for not telling her any time sooner. But, between the day that she’d found it, and now, she’d been able to pull together a gift that she’d hope they like.

Stepping inside, she looked around in search for her sibling and realized she didn’t really know many. A smile was passed to Pyper, a nod to Charles who she knew to be Phoenix’s father. Noticing Skylar and Roderic being busy, she simply lifted her hand and waved in their direction, politely waiting her turn as she stepped off to the side and observed everyone else.

[Doc]

Doc looked at Lucretia, “Ah.. when I found out about the reception, the wedding had already happened. Just seemed very.. sudden.” Not that it mattered to him, that he had not gotten invited. He had grown to dislike weddings. He grinned half heartedly as he decided he approved of how Ric had handled it. Stuffy part over and done, nothing left but a reception that would be easy to slip out of. Yes, he approved.

A casual nod was sent in the direction of Beverly, just as Nerissa asked him what he did. He looked her for a moment, his gaze intent. “I have a hand in several types of dealings. Genesis Labs, Genesis Solutions, Winterbrook Asylum and on call trauma surgeon. Lucretia works with me in Solutions.” He winked at Lucretia, and smiled at Nerissa, “She’s a cleaner.” He didn’t elaborate that by ‘cleaner’, Lucretia separated people from their life force, for a price.

“Why do you ask, are you looking for a job?” The question asked in genuine interest. He preferred to hire family, and since Nerissa was Lucretia’s, that made her family to him. Of a sort.

[Lennox Tyler]

"Well if it's draining for him...he must like it since he married Skylar." As Doc spoke, her eyes instantly darted to Elliot for a second before looking back at Doc and snorted. "Well that's petty. At some point in our lives...we sleep with a great deal of people, some before others, doesn't mean that we should be hated for it."

She wrapped her arm gingerly around Doc as she paid attention to the 'who's who'. "Vada seems nice enough. He spoke to me before Klara did. I think she was a tad preoccupied." As Klara approached, she smiled and remained on her best behavior. The question was directed at Doc, so she let him take lead on answering. The talk of divorce was interesting enough to pay attention. "How are you the first? Divorce is a common plague when it comes to the topic of marriage. Why do you need a ritual to get married and what is a ritual? Like witchcraft?" Smiling at the purple haired woman that had joined them. "Hey Nerissa...nice to meet you." She remained quiet to be polite as they began to talk about the lab.

[Nerissa Clemming]

Nerissa tilted her head curiously as she listened to Doc's response. "Sounds like you're a busy man." She took another sip from her drink as he asked about her curiosity. "Oh, I don't know. I've never worked a day in my life, unless you call pickpocketing working." she briefly thought about the time she spent looking for a job during the first few months after leaving home, but no one would hire a homeless girl with attitude. When she found out how easy it was to con people and take their money she quit job hunting and turned to stealing for what she needed.

She considered Doc's implied offer, wondering if she could handle working for someone other than herself. "Are you looking for a new hire? I don't know anything about what you say you do, but I might be willing to learn. If the price is right."

[Pi dArtois]

Pi looked at Roderic, her head tilted to the side. She wondered if she looked as ‘curiously interested’ as she believed the head tilted to the side expression was meant to convey.

Did I say something wrong, he’s not.. replying to me. Pi said directly into Elliot’s brain, still waiting there silently (and politely) for Roderic to answer her question.

She wondered if the stretched silence that was previously quite comfortable had actually become as painfully thin as her imagination was imagining. She fought the urge to fidget. She fought the urge to turn around and look if anyone else was staring at him waiting for an answer, everyone holding their breath for words that looked like might never come.

[Lancaster]

Elliot wasn't really paying any attention to Roderic or his answer. Well, he was, but his attention was divided, his ears still perked and vaguely listening to the conversation he felt like he couldn't unlisten to. Like a bad song that got stuck in one's head that you can't help but sing along to.

Lennox had replied, and Elliot was thinking about human nature. About how people listen to people they know; they judge others just by what they are told, without trying to find out the other perspective. Elliot chuckled, under his breath, barely concerned about what people might think, especially if those people do not have the sense enough to expand their knowledge.

Pi's voice invaded his thoughts, and he shook his head, his brow arched as he turned his gaze upon Pi. His own body swayed almost imperceptibly toward hers, his arm vaguely brushing against hers.

Relax, Pi. It's a party. People get distracted.

[Roderic]

There is a prolonged silence as I listen to Pi, scrutinize what she has said and then think about the answer I should give her. My eyes go to Elliot who is also pretty close to mute tonight, then back to girlfriend Pi. Or whatever she is to him. I don't actually know, because I haven't asked. I know Skylar calls her Momma Bear or something along those lines and that she had gotten a little rough and vocal with Skylar at the auctions, so I assume they are at least dating.

"I didn't do it to get money." I start out by telling her. I don't need a lot of money. I also don't like having a bank account, but people in this city seemed to require everyone to have one. "I did it because I didn't have any other obligations going on." I tell her. "Work on my social skills." I profess.

[Skylar]

I glance over at Juliet as she enters and catch her wave. I'm tempted to ditch the interview and run over to greet her, but I don't; mainly because I kinda want Ric to impress Elliot and Pi. I really don't expect miracles but things are going a little too well to drag him away right now. I return the wave and then set my attention back on those I'm standing with. Ric's still being all couplie and it's kinda cute but I know it won't last.
I need a drink. The band on my finger feels tight; it's not, but it feels it. I guess I'm still getting used to it. It's weird really. I can't stop playing with my ring cos it feels weird wearing one and yet Ric seems perfectly at home wearing his. That, or he's doing a better job at hiding his discomfort. I kinda hope it’s the former but I suspect it’s the latter. I glance over at Sapphire and signal to her. I’m pretty sure she’ll work out I want another drink and fix me one. If not… I guess I have to figure out how to release her from my influence.

[Doc]

“Am I looking for employees? Not particularly. However, if you are need of employment. I am sure I could find something for you. Pay would be commensurate with experience. So if you are ******* horrible, so your pay would be. The better you get, the more your pay increases.” Doc didn’t know her skillset so he had no idea what she might be able to do. But if she didn’t mind crazy homicidal killers, he could find something for her at the Asylum.
