Is there a way for hackers of really high hacking and intel to find out where the new person is at? Like, an i.p. addy ooooor?

I would think not, but it should be possible for those that are like, maxed stats on hacking. I mean, that's kind of what they do best, is hack into places that shouldn't be hacked into.

That becomes an increasingly difficult situation, because characters with just-as-maxed hacking abilities may opt to go out of their way to ensure redundant anonymity.

It seems like (as with many situations) a good solution to that would be getting with the other player and using the Dice Roller for a battle of smarts.

Mordechai has 20 hacking and very high intel. I often explain in RP's that when he is doing sensitive work, he uses his mind to connect, and connects to anonymous nodes, then uses them to connect to other anonymous nodes repeatedly, before actually going in to do his hacks, and setting firewalls and ICE and such along the way.

I'd be okay with using dice rolls and that to try and figure it out based on stats.
I just think at some point there should be the option, since I agree with what Rain says. They kinda hack a lot, all day, every day.
