Re: of mice and hunters [pru]
The massive killers eyes closed as he drew the newcomer closer, pulling her up into his arms, quite similarly to how he had cradled the rabbit. Nestling his nose in the crook of her neck, buried in the flowing curls he inhaled strongly. The scent of lavender filled his nostrils as he whispered in a low gravely voice, "IS kennedy, MY kennedy." The scent had triggered more memories. Somewhere deep inside the devastated but healing brain, the killer knew that what he held was his, he knew that smell. Mordechai cradled the petite allurist in one arm against his chest as the long, strong finger slid through her silken tresses. "Soooft" he whispered. The titian haired killer holding a gun to his head was forgotten as he hugged kennedy close to him. His kennedy.
Suddenly afraid that the red haired female would try to take her away from him, he turned from her and sat himself back down in the chair she had offered him earlier that evening. His free hand still tunneled repeatedly through the dark silken tresses of the allurist in his lap. Slowly his eyes opened and took in the sight of the beautiful woman in his lap. One cerulean iris, and one obsidian iris locked on to the matched honey colored eyes facing him. An odd almost childlike questioning expression spread across his face as he continued to stroke her hair, "Mine?" he queried softly. Looking up now to Prudence, A smile crossed the childlike countenance as he poked a finger in kennedy's belly. "See? Not sleeping. Not dead. Soooft." Glancing down at the pile of rags and flesh laying against the wall his gaze darkened. "Keep the mean lady away. Is mine".
Stroke after stroke the large fingers slid though silken tresses as the mountainous man slowly calmed again. As the time slowly passed more and more of the synapses and cells repaired themselves. The bone of the giant killer's skull had completely fused. Slowly his hands stilled. Silently his eyes darted around as a puzzled look flashed across his countenance. "Pru? kennedy...?"

He turned away from her, but that didn't mean **** to Prudence. She knew Kennedy wasn't dead, even though she went limp. The lack of ashes implied such a thing. So whatever she was doing, Prudence wasn't sure of, but that didn't mean she was letting Mordie off. When he turned, she moved with him, the gun still in range of his head.
"No. OURS." Her tone was harsh and to the point. Mordie might be ******* Kennedy and kinda-sorta-married to her too, but that didn't mean Prudence was going to let anyone do whatever they wanted to her mini's and think they could get away with it too.
"Don't ya forget that **** either." Prudence grumbled with her eyes on Kennedy now. They were at a stand still. Waiting for the other to act first. But as she waited, something happened. Mordie became Mordie again. Or so it seemed because he used both their names instead of adjectives. The red head nodded her head, then slowly lowered the gun. "Yup." She said, as if the nod wasn't good enough for him. "You're hurting Kennedy." Prudence growled at him, her eyes moving to the limp woman in his arms.

Re: of mice and hunters [pru]
As he pulled her close to his body, cradling her form in one arm, she knew that even her dead weight was no match to his strength. Annoying...absolutely because it only made her feel that much more weak against anyone that would think to attack her and she not have anyone there to defend her. Kennedy just never thought that she would have to defend herself against Mordechai outside of a sparring match. Sighing as she gave into defeat as he nuzzled into her, nodding her head at his inquiries. "Yes, I'm Kennedy." Relaxing as he no longer seemed to want to hurt her but play with her hair instead. He had become so fascinated that it actually made her glad that she had left it down.
Leaning against him, praying that Pru wouldn't shoot him if he made a wrong move, she looked him in the eyes as if to try and see if there was apart of him in there that wasn't so confused as to who she was. She was a pet but there was one thing to being a pet and then being treated like a household pet. She was no ones cat or dog. Hell...her animal form was neither, she was a squirrel. Pru had beat her to answering his question as if she was his. She was his but Pru was correct in saying 'Ours' as well. She had become her adopted sire and was naturally her grandsire...she was her mini. Looking to the lump in the corner where he was looking, she smiled. "You don't have to worry about her. She won't be able to take me from you." The woman was clearly dead so Kennedy was right in her statement...how could a dead woman take her away from him...she couldn't.
Tilting her head as he seemed to become his normal self, she nodded her head."Yeah it's us. What the hell happened?" Kennedy knew that she should have given him a little bit of time to gather himself but after his actions...she wanted answers. He had never come close to killing her, let alone hurt her before and she wanted to know why. At least she wanted an answer before Pru shot him. Looking over to Pru as she spoke and she shrugged. What do they do next?

Re: of mice and hunters [pru]
The killer sat quietly gently rocking kennedy in his arms as he listen to the two females talking to him. His roving eyes took in the sights of the saloon, blood splattered everywhere, a mangled woman's body slammed up against the wall. Over to the side on a table, there was what appeared to be a rabbit carcass wrapped in bar towels. What the hell had happened here? How the hell had he ended up here? How had kennedy ended up in his lap? Not that he was complaining mind you.
Looking up at the two women that were such a big part of his life, he paused then his low voice growled out a query, "Do either of you know how i got here? The last thing I can remember is I was hunting paladins in western Coastside. Ran into a pack of hunters.... then it gets blurry." Leaning forward he gently inhaled the calming lavender scent of his kennedy as his free hand stroked her hair. "Did I call you her ken? or summon? I can't remember. The growing frown on his face belied his aggravation at not knowing what had happened. "Do you know what is going on Pru?"
A puzzled look passes fleetingly across his face. "I was just gonna ask that. Where is all the blood from? Is that Jane over there? She looks like she got hit by a train." He started to mention the rabbit, but stopped, maybe Pru had joined VETH and was draining rabbits now. No need to offend. But how did he get here."What the hell happened?"

Re: of mice and hunters [pru]
Prudence kept a close eye on Mordie as he seemed to be coming around. She still didn't trust him, even if it seemed Kennedy did. Not in this state of mind. Prudence shrugged her shoulders at the question thrown her way by Kennedy, then shrugged a second time when Mordie asked her.
"Uhhhh, weeeell-" She started off by shifting her weight on the sides of her feet before revealing what she knew. "Ya were hunting and it looked like ya had your brain splattered by a few bullets too many. Probably by those assholes down in the sewers. The ones ya were hunting. Why ya were hurt that bad and not healing any of your wounds is anyone's guess, but that's what sorta happened before ya came here."
Her blue eyes looked down at Jane. "And then ya got pissed at Jane and killed her. Ya tossed her around like she weighed no more than that of a barbie doll or something because she wanted to take your, uhhh, bunny away?" Prudence scratched at her cheek and shifted her weight back on to the middle of her feet before straightening her posture.
"I think that's it in a nutshell? Oh and ya practically killed Kennedy over there, but I think ya already know that." She stared at him, giving him her death glare. The one where her eyes narrowed as she focused in on a target and the bright blue faded away into a steely one as she tried to figure out the best way to kill someone in the quickest amount of time.

Re: of mice and hunters [pru]
Kennedy waited for an answer but when all she got in return was her question thrown back at her, she was at a loss as to what to say or do. Pru had messaged her to come after **** had hit the fan, leaving her to walk in confused as to what was going on before his large hands wrapped around her neck and lifted her off the ground. It was the first and only time she had been afraid of him and she wasn't sure if she should even tell him. Biting her lower lip as she sat quietly also shrugging to his questions as Pru was the only one that could possibly answer them. At least she could answer what happened at the saloon anyway.
Remaining quiet in his lap as he stroked her hair and they both listened to Pru. Her eyes looked in the direction of the woman in the corner that she assumed was Jane and then to the bunny when each was mentioned. Kennedy tried her best not to look or feel scared of him while she was in his lap. So much had happened that he didn't need that on his shoulders either. Pru didn't seem to relax much now that he was semi back to normal as her death glare nearly bore a hole through him. Shrugging her shoulders once more, she gave a nervous chuckle. "This is one of many reasons that I stay out of the sewers..." It was a pathetic statement but she wasn't sure what else to say but wanted to at least let them know that she was listening and paying attention.

Re: of mice and hunters [pru]
The killer sat quietly listening as the gun wielding redhead before him gave a run down of the last few hours events. His mind now fully functioning, began piecing together the fragments of his memories, and the terse words spit rapid fire at him by the angered Pru. He had been in the sewers, and he had been hunting. The last hunter. He must have gotten a burst off before Mordechai reached him. Slowly one hand moved up to his forehead, finger tips lightly sliding over the puckered skin and ridged bone edges of the rapidly healing wound. He could feel at least three entrance wounds. Three bullets straight in to his brain.
His eyes traversed the room, taking in Jane and the bunny carefully wrapped in towels. The bunny he had no memory of. A complete and total blank, other than a sensation, a sensation of softness. Jane on the other hand, had always been useless. A bubble head poster child for the virtues of oral sex. Mordechai had never understood why Pru had chosen her. He nodded slightly towards the twisted corpse, "I didn't like her anyway. She wasn't right in the head."
The massive male was idlly picking dried flood from his face, and had just leaned forward to kiss his kennedy, when he froze. Slowly he turned his hear towards his titan haired friend. his countenance frozen eyes glittering. Gently, far to gently he raised kennedy from his lap, holding her carefully until she was solid on her feet. He rose to his full height, silently gliding towards the lithe killer in front of him as huge hands balled into fists. "I practically killed kennedy?" he queried in a whisper. "I practically killed kennedy?" He asked again, his voice a quiet, deadly whisper. Another step closer. "And yet I live." The killers hand snapped out yanking the pistol from Pru's hand and holding it in front of her pale face. "You had this, and yet I live." Voice never raising, not a stitch of emotion showing anywhere on his face, nor inflection in that low pitched voice.
Slowly one hand reached back, drawing kennedy forward before continuing. "Never again will you suffer someone to live, that has threatened this granchilde of yours. If you fail in this again, I will come for you. You should have killed me. You should have killed ME. ME!" Turning towards the petite allurist, the killer folded to his knees, bowing his head in supplication to her. "I can not tell you how sorry I am kennedy. I have no words to convey the sorrow I feel. If you wish, I will gladly submit to you for retribution." Slowly his arms swung wide, hands open, his torso completely unprotected. His head turned and tipped, exposing the long length of his throat to his beloved kennedy.

Re: of mice and hunters [pru]
Prudence knew how Mordie felt about Kennedy, or at least how he viewed her as. But the second he started going ballistic on her by taking her gun and more or less guilt tripping her about not killing him, all she could do was roll her eyes. "**** you, Mordie. It's not my ******* fault ya came in here like that when I know you're more than capable of healing yourself. I'm not everyone's ******* babysitter in this city." Prudence strode past him, her shoulder nudging his as she decided she was done with whatever this all was. The whole night was ******* weird; from Mordie not healing himself, to Jane dying, to that stupid *** rabbit and now the guy more or less offering Kennedy his life right here and right now.
It probably was some sort of extreme romantic gesture that most women would 'awww,' at or something as equally stupid, but right now, she didn't want **** to do with Mordie or Kennedy and their make up time. "Keep the gun, it's just some piece of **** I got off some douche bag last week in here." She shrugged before tugging the door open to indicate she was leaving, but paused at the door. "And I expect ya to find me a girl to replace Jane by the end of the ******* week. I don't got time to be looking for some new help in this place. As worthless as she was, all the customer's talked to that big mouth and brought in good tips." Without anything else to say, she was gone, vanishing to the fade to get some silence from the city and everyone in it.

Re: of mice and hunters [pru]
Watching the scene unfold before her, her mind whirled in confusion. Her mind was trying to process all of the information at once while trying to make sense of it all but instantly stopped the moment that Mordechai took the gun from Pru's hand. A low growl ripped through Kennedy as she tried to get his attention, to show her disapproval of his actions and the growing anger that she knew was building. As he seemingly threatened or guilt tripped Pru, she wasn't sure which one it was, Kennedy pushed away from him after he pulled her close and snatched the gun from his hand. "Don't threaten her. If you acted as you did tonight without those holes in your head, I can beat all that I own on the fact that she would take you down in a heart beat. The fact that she was more concerned about you and called me here is called compassion. Back off of her. It's not her fault." She wanted to punch him for his behavior but with how she felt, her fist would have met his face given how he was treating Pru. However, the more she thought about it, he didn't need another blow to the head.
The moment that Mordechai turned to her and dropped to his knees, tilting his head down to the ground, her eyes grew wide with shock. Sighing as she shook her head. "You know...you probably deserve to be shot for your actions but you weren't yourself. I don't understand why you didn't heal, maybe it was because you had so many holes in your head but again...you weren't yourself. If you didn't have all those holes, I wouldn't have hesitated to shoot you the moment you let go of me. What you pulled was definitely a shoot first, ask questions later deal. I want you to apologize to Pru. You shouldn't have gone off on her like that and you better think twice about it in the future. As for your actions against me...we will talk about it later at home. Do you understand?" It was the first time that she bossed him around or even had anger with him but it was a necessary evil. Turning as Pru spoke and looked as if she was attempting to bail, she gritted her teeth. "I don't want you to leave but if you really want to then that's fine but wait just a sec. As for Jane...you will have a replacement by the end of the night. No need to wait to the weekend."

Re: of mice and hunters [pru]
The killer stayed as he was, kneeling silently before his kennedy as first one than the other of the two he trusted most berated him. There was nothing more that he could say. they didn't understand. They seemed to think that even though his brain was so wounded he did not even recognize his beloved kennedy, that he should have known to use his powers and heal himself. None of that mattered though in comparison to what he had done, he had hurt kennedy. He had not meant to, even in the stat he had been in, he had not meant too. His strength and speed was just too much to control, when his brain was awol.
Replacing Jane would be easy, any crack whore with a silicone valley would be an improvement. She had made her tips off high eels and low necklines, no talent involved, at least not waitressing talent. Pru had taken off, leaving the two alone. Mordechai had never been good at expressing himself, things always came out wrong, and he had no idea how he was going to fix this. Words would not be enough. Words seldom were enough, too many thought just saying 'I am sorry' was a cure all, when nothing in their actions proved their words to be heartfelt. As a result he said nothing as he listened to kennedy. Reaching out with his mind, he touched Pru, " I was wrong" Not so much an apology, as a statement of fact, but the killer could take it as she would. Standing, he looked down upon his little allurist. "You are correct, I will make good upon this" There was nothing else he could really say.
