Yep, weapon part found as floor loot only goes up to quality 13. Helly has found a few q12s, but they are pretty rare.

Qual 10+ melee parts seem to be alot rarer now than they used to be, unless they are blunts. Even then haven't seen anything over 11 in months. Seems 50% parts are blunts too.

I get 9-11s fairly regularly from killing hunters/paladins in the sewers if people are looking for another way to get them <.< Generally gun parts, too.

I haven't noticed a difference in part qualities. It seems about the same as always.

Oh yeah, I have no issues finding 10+ items - rare, but not infuriatingly so - except the blunt/blade parts of melee weapons. Hilts and pommels show up, but never the stabby/smashy bits.

It's skill. Nix had 30/30 Skill/Intel and 20 Mech. She also managed to do Blake's gun (15/16/9) with 15/14/15 parts. That was glorious.

Damn, that's right. You restat her, it's going to be aaaaaaaaaaaaages before I get anywhere close to 30/30 skill/intel.

Hrm hrm... sad, but targets are good :)

With Sebastian and melee crafting, increasing skill has been helping with his failure rate. It's still high, but it is slowly climbing down as he levels. I've got metalcrafting maxed out now, with strength and skill both in the 20s.
