Ladi wandered into a random bar, stopping just inside the door to survey her surroundings. Her green eyes swiftly running over the few patrons sitting despondently at the various tables that dotted the dusty floor, and quickly dismissed them as what she called, "Undesirables".
Taking one last drag from her cigarette, she dropped it on the floor with one slender hand, crushing it beneath one square-toed booted foot, before exhaling the smoke from her red lips, as she made her way past a pool table and over to the bar. The bartender, she noted, was a nondescript male, who was dry-washing a mug with a none to clean rag. He came over as she approached, simply nodding in acknowledgement of her presence. She attempted to smile, before she laid a $20 bill on the bar and whispered, "Can I get a tequila sunrise in a CLEAN cup and some quarters, please?" Shrugging, the bartender took the money and laid her change in it's place, then moved to make her drink. "I'll be at the pool table." she said louder, as she scraped the change off the bar with one hand and into the other, pocketing all but three quarters. Turning around, she made her way back to the pool table, bending, she placed the quarters in the slot and shoved the mechanism in until she heard the balls drop and roll to one end of the table. Releasing the slot, she straightened, and found the bartender standing silently in front of her, holding her drink out.
She straightened her black leather trench coat, and ran one hand through her auburn colored, shoulder length hair, before taking the drink and moving over to select a cue stick from the myriad of sticks along the wall. Placing her drink, untouched, on a nearby table, she returned to the pool table and began to wrack the balls. "This place needs to liven up, it seems so... dead!" the statement wasn't meant to have been spoken out loud, but she had said it. The bartender grunted at her comment but returned to his place behind the bar, giving her no more notice. Shrugging, she dismissed him and proceeded to play herself in a game of pool. "PUH! Yet another... 'undesirable' in this place!"

Re: Games (Shamus)
A thin layer of dust covered everything. It was a good way to state the times. What once must have been a booming business now resembled the economies flucuation. The sands of time was always moving. None of this bothered Shamus too greatly, though. The seclusion it offered even with the atmosphere was nice. Even if an obnoxious girl was starting to prowl around the joint.
While she was exceedingly loud, this girl who pranced around the bar might prove of some interest. The barkeep who seemed insistant on polishing a dusty glass with a dirty wash rag even stopped his useless effort in order to acquire something a bit more sanitary. Shamus could not imagine why. She didn't look very threatening and her style of clothes had gone out a centuary or two ago. He rolled his shoulders with a bit of a shrug, deciding whether to get from his seat or not.
While in the depths of his on decision, Shamus began to process what all the girl was saying. His head tilted backwards as he began to bark with laughter. If only she knew. The bartender seemed to have an idea, as he was already going back to his own business with the look of not wanting any trouble. He shook his head and slowly got to his feet where he began to brush the dust that clung to him off.
He was somewhat irritated that the suit he decided to wear this evening was pinstriped. The dust was a lot more noticable on black than it was on the white giving it splotches of an off-white. But Shamus remained dilligent in his task before making his way over to the table. He would have an interesting night after all, he decided. After a few games of pool, he would find out who she truly was.
A quirk of a grin spread across his features, though it only touched to the right side. The thoughts of later steadily claiming what free thoughts he had in his mind. For almost a second he began to tilt his head to the side, before changing his movement and moving a hand through his hair, skimming the bottom of his bowler hat. A bit of nervousness would be what would be called for he thought. The quirk of a grin shifted towards that of a shy smile as he looked down a bit, "I not be very good, but if ya like, I could give it a shot. Playin' pool with ya that be."

Re: Games (Shamus)
As she busied herself with placing all the pool balls on the table, rearranging them inside the triangle, unnecessarily putting them in order by number and color. She had heard one of the 'undesirables' on the other side of the room, barking with laughter. She thought to herself a moment, then shrugged, straightening up from bending over the pool table. "He is none of your business, Ladi." she whispered, chastising herself for even giving the others in the dimly lit half of the room a second thought.
Moving over to grab her drink, she took a tentative sip of it as she tried to see just what was going on in the other half of the room, without looking like she was being nosy. She couldn't help but notice that one of them had stood up and was dusting himself off a lot, she assumed he was about to move towards the door. Dismissing him, she took another sip of her drink, that was actually not bad, she sat it down, licking her lips a little, before hefting the pool stick and turned to make her way to the other end of the pool table.
Bending slightly, as she reached down to with one slender hand to grab the cue ball, she straightened quickly, with the cue ball in her hand, as she heard the man speak to her. She had not heard him approach, but she turned to face him, a small smile coming to her lips as she listened to him speak.
She studied him for a moment, his pinstriped suit and bowler hat, on anyone else would have made her laugh out loud, but both seemed to fit him well. Giving a little shrug, she offered him the cue ball and replied, "You break and we'll see how well you play pool. I'm not the greatest at it either," she laughed despite herself, then continued speaking as she moved over to take another sip of her drink "it should be an... interesting game, yes?"
