Change of Pace [Macaria]

Post by Kaleen (DELETED 5809) »

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
* Macaria stares, "I thought we'd agreed that staying on the farm was the best idea."
* Kaleen glanced back at the woman and threw a few specks of popcorn at her, "Shh, it's a movie. And I don't recall agreeing to that."
* Macaria stared more, but lowered her voice, "I'm pretty sure you did. We decided it would be safer given your... predilections. And would be better for the integrity of my exp-... our relationship. That."
* Kaleen grew a cat-like grin about her, plump, vivid red lips. Our relationship? "I thought it was best to have breaks from each other, Pookie. Lest it gets stale."
* Macaria did not approve of the innuendo, or the nickname, and folded her arms, "Pookie?"
Kaleen› Would you prefer Snoogums?
Macaria› No.
* Kaleen chuckled lowly, "Alright, baby." She taunted the woman with nicknames since the woman had used the word relationship, "Why not come cuddle up and watch this movie~?"
* Macaria sighs, essentially resigning herself to her fate now that she was out and about and felt the need to keep the true nature of their 'relationship' hidden so as to best continue it without outside influences. "Fine. What is it, anyway?"
Kaleen› Not a clue. Some shitty old movie.
* Macaria signs. It just kept getting better. "Joy," she muttered. She couldn't even eat popcorn.
* Kaleen gave another low chuckle, taking a sip of the Starbucks coffee she had brought. She offed the woman popcorn, knowing full well she couldn't eat it.
* Macaria just stared flatly
* Kaleen grinned, malignly.
Macaria› I know you know I can't eat that because of... allergies. Yes. Allergies.
Kaleen› My poor Pookie, it must have slipped my mind. We both know I would never want to cause you any misfortune, darling. Come, let me hold you.
* Kaleen sounded completely sincere. But by this point of knowing each other, Ria was probably aware it was sarcasm.
* Macaria had a pretty solid idea, yes. She continued staring, her arms still folded. "You've held me enough already this week, don't you think?"
* Kaleen choked out a laughter, "Excuse me?"
* Macaria raised an eyebrow, "You don't remember the whole you creepily watching me sleep thing?"
* Kaleen snorted, "That wasn't holding you. That was intel gathering."
Macaria› By staring at me while I slept. In my bed. While I was sleeping.
* Kaleen rolled her eyes, "You wouldn't understand, you're not a Novelist."

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
* Macaria raised an eyebrow, "Is that code for 'person that creeps on other people while they sleep'?" she said, trying not to grin, "You gave me quite the start, you know."
* Kaleen scoffed, "No it's code for 'one who creates work of literature'." She grinned, another malign grin, "Did I now?"
Macaria› Yes! I rolled over, half awake, and there you were. Staring. Pretty sure, were it possible, that you would have given me a heart attack.
Kaleen› Be still my heart, you'll make a girl swoon admitting I have that much power over you.
* Macaria shakes her head, "Yes. Scaring me near into the shadow realm is a wonderful thing."
Kaleen› If only.
Macaria› ... oh really?
* Kaleen batted her eyelashes before rolling her eyes, "No, stupid. You're no use to me dead, now are you?"
Macaria› Well. More dead. But I get the point.
* Kaleen sipped at her coffee more, with a sigh.
Kaleen› God, they need to play new movies...
* Macaria shrugs, "Honestly I've always quite liked the older classics."
Kaleen› Figures you would.
Macaria› It's hard to beat the Marx Brothers. Or Chaplin.
Kaleen› Heh.
* Kaleen folded her hands together, elbows holding them up on her knees to proper her chin on her hands. She eyed the screen, "The problem with movies, is they never tell the full story as well as the books."
* Macaria smiled lightly, "This is true. I can't argue against that one. They always seem to miss out the best parts, too>"
Kaleen› Very true.
Kaleen› But, movies do have their own spark.
Kaleen› They bring to life for those too unimaginative enough to see what they read otherwise.
* Macaria smiles thinly, unfolding her arms. "Another thing I cannot argue against."
Kaleen› Glad we agree.
* Kaleen stood up, tossing her popcorn bucket to a teen couple sitting nearby. She finished her Starbucks before tossing the cup in a nearby recycling can, pulling her coat on, she grabs Ria and drags, "This movie is ********, we're out."
