Fade Portals

Ok I understand the game mechanics part of them
The Role play part is however vague and I cant find any descriptions of them anywhere

What do they look like are they swirling masses of magic or a mirror type thing that one can just walk into
What do they do rp wise like how do they get you from point to point
What would the sensation be like for someone using one

Waterwalking. Or rather regarding the lack of? On grid we are unable to cross the water in human or vampire characters but I am not finding anything regarding why anywhere for roleplay. Humans could swim I am sure but what about vampires without Waterwalking? Can they swim or walk along the bottoms of rivers and lakes?

I'm not sure if this is a canon question, it's more of a gameplay logic question. It's really for simplicity's sake. Humans could swim the river, but it would expend most of their energy, so we left it out as a mechanic. Vampires could swim it, too, but they'd also use more energy than walking, and they'd risk attacks from a fae. So it's the way it is to just keep things simple.

Is a Fade Portal fixed to a point in space or to something more abstract? If I fix a Portal that goes to my yacht, and then move my yacht, does the portal move with it, or does that portal now lead to an empty space above water where the yacht used to be?

I can think of all sorts of maddening tricks to pull whatever the answer is.

Well, because you can't pick up fade portals and move them once set, I'd be inclined to say they are fixed to a point in reality, rather than a certain wall or movable object such as a boat.

Can you rp using a grappling hook to climb them?

And what about wraiths? It's ok to write them able to 'fly' up them or no?

Also on the wraiths... they can pass through the fence that is around the QZ in rp, or no?

Yeah you can roleplay anything you could do in real life, so a grappling hook would be fine. Wraiths can't fly though, but they can float over water.

If your vampy is in meaner things and Monstrous mutation at the same time... is okay to rp that the animal in question also appears monterious?

Powers can be combined at the writer's discretion, as long as it's believable and it's not over powered.

Is it possible to rp that out?
As in how someone got something removed?
Or should we consider that just an ooc decision and not rp it out?

Writer's choice. Vampires can gain or shed "curses" at random times throughout their existence, if the writer chooses that.

with the sliders in this chapter... how, if at all, do our charters react to them? Can we write that polls have gone up or down?

With the previous chapter, yeah it was pre-election popularity polls showing who was dominating.

And on a different topic, do all powers work on animals like 'read memories' for example or just ones like "pacify"? If you read the memory of a bird (again just for example), could you see what it had seen or just get nothing at all?

This might be a stupid question... but I have to ask just in case... >.>

If a vampire with lots of ink that has the Psychosomatic Dysepulosm trait gets a limb lopped off, does their ink regenerate with the limb? Oooor do they have to get that entirely redone?

Absolutely up to you. Vampires are partly spirit beings, so the image they have of themselves in their own head often has more of a bearing on their physical manifestation than any kind of logic or reason. It's possible the tattoos will return, and it's possible they won't.

If i have the Frozen Apparition curse, which prevents me from cutting off anything or changing my appearance in any way what happens if a finger or even a whole arm gets cut off, does it regrow within seconds and remain unusable or...what?

The limb would regrow as normal.

Is there a building in HR that is associated with Cobb's home and/or laboratory?

The location of this place is unknown to vampires currently. But yes, it would be there somewhere.
