[OOC: RP Backdated to the 18th of April, 2014]
<Velveteen> Several nights had passed since they had decided to try the turning theory with Jesse. They had passed by relatively quietly and true to his word Jesse had remained on the top floor of the Eyrie. His eyes had grown back in and while he was still relatively sightless the bandages we no longer necessary and he didn’t have two creepy looking, gaping holes in his face. There was a conversation the night before about their plans and Jesse was reluctant and stubborn as per usual. He didn’t think it would help and argued that they would likely just run off on him anyway. Said the whole thing was pointless but with nothing else to go on at this point it seemed the most viable. They couldn’t keep him prisoner indefinitely. Velveteen decided tonight was the night and sent a telepathic message to her husband to say as much. She dare not risk speaking no matter how softly at this point. It was likely that with his loss of sight that his hearing had improved tenfold. “Wanna go catch a human, hot stuff?”

<Micah> To say that Jesse hadn't liked their idea had been an understatement but Micah was past the point of caring. It didn't matter if whoever those chose decided to run off. That wasn't the point. He and Vel both and tried to come up with a better conclusion but they kept coming back to the same point over and over. Lack of siring was what was making Jesse this way. Micah had been waiting for word from Vel and when she pressed her thoughts into his mind he gave a slight nod of his head and replied in kind. ”Ready when you are.”

<Aria Frost> The date not gone well. Aria smelled like a drunk from the wine that the waitress had spilled on her. The guy was, well not her speed. He was far too prep for brunette's liking. "That is the last time I let Michelle set me up with a guy she knows," she grumbled as she walked through the streets. She zipped her leather jacket up. She lived in this city all her life and she never did get used to the cold nights. She paused near the ruined fence of an abandoned factory building and shook her head. "Looks like another one's getting torn down."

<Velveteen> Velveteen nodded giving her husband a rather conspiratorial glance before giving Scott his instructions. As per usual he was to make sure Jesse didn’t try to leave and to offer any assistance the male might need. Now...where to find a hapless human that hopefully no one would miss if this whole thing went *** up....or even if it didn’t. “There are lots of abandoned places down by the garage babe. I think we should start there. Don’t want to go snatchin’ someone that will be missed. The city’s refuse and homeless tend to gather down that way.” Perhaps such a person might even be grateful enough for the second chance that they will stick with Jesse. It was a win/win in the woman’s mind. Taking the portal that would have her at the garage within seconds she made her way downstairs and waited for Micah.

<Micah> He cast a glance at Jesse as he stuck his gun into the waistband of his jeans. What they were doing was drastic and he knew that but the sooner they got the old Jesse back the better. ”I think there's a few not far from MRC. If nothing turns up we can always look elsewhere. Has to be someone somewhere.” A couple clips of ammo were added to his pocket before he slipped through the portal that would drop him at the garage, finding her waiting for him right where she said she would be. His hand brushed over hers as he moved by her to open the door, gesturing for her to go first so he could reset the alarm.

<Aria Frost> Aria resumed walking home. She never bothered to look at the people at around her. She just wanted to get home, shower, and sleep. Her parents would probably be less than pleased that she smelled, but they would just have to deal with it. She leaned against a nearby building and yawned.

<Velveteen> It was still rather could out so the streets were rather empty of any signs of life. Well that and the time. Things had been getting a little more dangerous in Harper Rock of late and many were taking to staying inside after dark. She did hope that the warmer weather would bring more outdoors. Once the alarm was set she slipped her hand into her husband’s and smiled. There was something kind of exciting about what they were about to do though she wasn’t sure what. They did fairly illegal stuff all the time so it wasn’t that. Perhaps it was the idea of snatching a life and changing it forever that put a little extra bounce her step. Either way it was a night that hopefully was going to change a lot of things. They hadn’t wandered far when she noticed a lone female looking rather bored by a nearby fence. She could already smell her and had already decided she was a hooker of the cheapest variety. Perfect. No one ever really missed the street walkers. She tugged at his hand. “Babe...what about her?”

<Micah> The reality of what they were about to do hit him hard as they left the garage and began their search. He wasn't going to lie – it gave him a bit of a thrill to be doing something so sneaky and underhanded. It wasn't often that situations such as this landed right in front of either of them, which was probably why they were so eager to do it. He scanned their surroundings as the walked but no one really jumped out at him. Too young, too old – Micah didn't know what it was. Not that he was trying to be overly picky but none of the ones he saw screamed loner to him. That's what he was looking for. So when Vel pointed one out his gaze turned to where she was pointing and he studied the female thoughtfully. Perfect. “She'll do. How do you want to do this?”

<Aria Frost> Her cell phone rang. She quickly glanced at the number before answering the call. "Hey Michelle, no guy was an ***. You know perfectly well that those jock dipstick types are your thing. Yeah, and the waiter spilled my drink all over me. I'll be back to campus soon. No, that's okay I'll find a date myself." She ended the call and resumed walking to the college. She had to study for her exams, not that she planned on doing any studying. She tossed some loose change to a homeless guy as she passed him. "Here you go. You should get something to stay warm," she said to the man.

<Velveteen> Velveteen canted her head to the side and watched the woman for a quiet moment as she contemplated. She frowned a little as the phone rang though she was still too far away to have heard what was said beyond a snippet here and there. Probably another john she surmised. “Well the least messy way I suppose. Just grab the ***** and get her back to the Eyrie as fast as possible. I don’t want to spend all night dickin’ around.”

<Micah> Micah nodded and called the shadows to him, letting them encase his body rendering him invisible. If he had to be the one to grab her he sure as hell wasn't going to let her see his face or give her a chance to scream. He stepped up behind the oblivious female and pulled his gun out of the waistband of his jeans. Vel said be quick, so once he was close enough he used the grip of the gun to hit her in the temple hoping to knock her out. Best she didn't know where she was going.

<Aria Frost> There was a sharp pain across the back of her skull. Then blackness. She didn't feel her body hit the cold pavement.

<Velveteen> Sterling orbs scanned the street for anything or anyone who looked out of place. It wouldn’t do for them to be seen but it was pretty deserted for now. As soon as the woman looked to be going down the vampire moved quickly, catching her before she actually hit the ground. A wicked grin curled her lips, even though she couldn’t see him she knew he was there. “Nicely don’t, lover. Now let’s get her home.” For a moment Velveteen was a little concerned that maybe he had hit her too hard, but the faint sound of heartbeat was quick to reassure her.

<Micah> He waited for her to hit the ground but Vel was there before she hit the pavement. A quick scan of the area told him that so far they hadn't been noticed. All the more reason for them to haul *** back to the Eyrie, shove the girl at Jesse and be done with it. “I'll go first and wait outside. Teleport her to me and I'll drag her upstairs. You can tome in after you send her.”

<Jesse Fforde> Jesse remains completely oblivious to what everyone else is doing. Although he'd been informed of their plan - and had riled against it - he had a naive hope that they wouldn't go through with it. He bides his time, waiting for his sight to come back completely. It's nearly there - he can see blurry shapes and shadows, and can make out the outlines of solid objects. As soon as he's capable of moving swiftly without tripping on anything, he'll try to convince Velveteen and Micah that he's fine. That he won't do anything stupid, and that they can let him leave. He might even promise that he'll go find someone to sire, though it might be a promise that he'll break. He sits at the table with the sketches spread out in front of him - the things that he's been trying to do to preoccupy himself, and force his eyes into better shape. That's a thing, right? If he uses them, the muscles will respond quicker, will heal quicker. His fingers are covered in charcoal, and the shapes on the pages at least look a little more put-together than what they looked like when he was completely blind. Nothing like his usual work, of course, but it was at least cathartic.

<Velveteen> Velveteen nodded. It was a solid plan. “Move fast, babe. I will count to ten and send her on over in the meantime I will ummm...pretend I am walking my super drunk friend here.” She smiled and lifted the unconscious woman’s arm to have her wave at the male. “See you at home.”

<Micah> He shot her a blank look even though she couldn't see him. Run fast. Who did she think she was talking to? He turned on his heel and was off like a shot, using celerity to get him to the gates of the Eyrie within mere seconds. The girl arrived seconds after, landing at his feet with a thump as she hit the ground. It was tempting to nudge at her with his foot but he really didn't have the time for that. Vel was probably already upstairs with Jesse so he picked the girl up and put her over his shoulder, heading directly inside and into the elevator.

<Velveteen> The whole thing took less than two minutes and as soon as she arrived at the tome drop spot she called out for their houseguest. “Jesse! Where are you?” Though her question was unnecessary, she could see it at the table as soon as she stepped through the secret panel in the wall. “Oh good. You are here.” Not that she really expected he would be anywhere else. “Micah is on his way up. We have something for you.” A sly smirk flickered on her mouth as she placed her gun on the table with a soft, yet heavy thud.

<Jesse Fforde> As soon as she calls out for him in that sing-song voice, Jesse knows something is afoot. And it's not just any something, but the one something that he has been dreading. Why he ever thought that Velveteen or Micah would go back on their word, he doesn't know. It was a vain hope that now vanishes completely. He slowly puts down the charcoal and turns his head toward the shifting shape that he knows to be Velveteen. His fingers curl just slightly, as to his feet - he hasn't worn shoes the entire time he's been here. At least he's not shirtless, as he would be were he in his own hut - just track pants and a tank top. "I hope it's chocolate," he says. "I've been craving some chocolate," he says. He might be joking, but his words are tense.

<Micah> The doors opened just in time for Micah to hear Jesse's comment. “Not chocolate. Something better than chocolate.” He followed the sound of Jesse voice and found him, and Vel. As he figured she'd beaten him back to the Eyrie. “See?” He then dumped the girl into Jesse's lap with a flourish and stepped back. “A soon to be Jesse childe. Just like we promised.”

<Aria Frost> The pain in the back of her head woke Aria up. her slowly rose to her knees as the burring in her vision slowly died down. "God damn. I feel like I'm hung over and I didn't even drink" she looked around slowly and suddenly realized where she was. "What the ****, where the ****, a tree house?!" she spotted the others in the room "What the **** do you want, you ******* hllbilly fucks?!"

<Velveteen> Velveteen grinned and bobbed her head in agreement as her husband spoke. Both were confident that this was the answer. It hadn’t really occurred to her yet that if it was it would be an ongoing thing. She motioned with a hand towards the woman who had decided to wake though for now she was ignored. Hillbilly fucks indeed. “Don’t say we don’t ever get you anything. Now...do it, Jesse. Turn her and let’s get you back from whatever dark hole you been digging for yaself.”

<Jesse Fforde> They'd already had all the arguments they were going to have about this situation. Jesse could bring up the same old stale points, but he knew it wouldn't make a difference. He couldn't properly see the woman that they had brought him, but he could smell her. He could feel her warmth. She was going to be annoying, if he didn't do as he was told. And he knew there was no way out of it. With a dissatisfied growl he reached for the human. She's on her knees beside him - he slides out of his chair so that he's on his knees, too - so that he's got a tight hold her, wrenching her head aside and lunging for the vein. He moves quickly - instinct drives him, an irresistible urge that bubbles to the surface, that gleefully dances around in his head, in his soul. Yes, it's saying. Yes, this is a good thing, it repeats. All while Jesse enjoys the hot blood that slides down his tongue.

<Micah> He rolled his eyes. If she thought that was insulting then she really needed to work on her insults. He'd been called much worse than a hillbilly before. All that did was amuse him greatly. She had a smart mouth, just like her soon to be sire. They really couldn't have chosen better. Micah nodded his head, agreeing with his wife. He didn't need to say anything as Jesse was already moving without protest, much to his relief. He'd done his part by dragging her up here. The last thing Micah wanted was to have to hold Jesse down and actually force him to do it.

<Aria Frost> he's grabbed tightly and there's a sharp stabbing sensation in her neck. She's been bitten. She struggles harder against the assault and tears away from the man. She grasps at her flesh as she feels her throat rip from her action. She falls on her faceand crawls for the door to escape. The farther she moves away, the farther the door seems. She collapses onto floor as her blood pools out around her.

<Jesse Fforde> Jesse doesn't want to drag this out any longer than he needs to. On any other occasion he might be afraid of making a mess in a place that isn't his own. But this is their idea. They kept him in their own home. And they brought his hapless human to him. He feels like he should make as much of a mess as possible; he lets the human wrench herself free, thus causing a gaping gash in her neck. Blood pulses thick and fast from the broken vein. But really, he's in the thick of it now. He doesn't think about the mess. He clambers after the human as she tries to crawl away. He throws her over onto her back and presses a knee to her chest to keep her there. He waits - waits just long enough for her heartbeat to slow. Waits, until there's more blood on the floor than there is in her body. He then lifts his wrist to his own blood-soaked mouth, tears a gash with his teeth, and holds the bleeding wound over the woman's mouth - he misses a couple of times. He can't see very well. But finally makes sure that his blood surges past her lips.

<Velveteen> One of the reasons for the blood bags was so that when presented with warm, fresh blood it would be that much harder to resist. The look in Jesse’s eye and the fact that he doesn’t protest the offering was indicative that it had worked. It was brutal and it was messy and the woman smiled with a certain sadistic glee as she watched, transfixed by the woman fighting for her very life and the blood that pools on the floor and permeates her senses. It won’t be long no before they know if their plan has worked but even if it doesn’t at least she got watch the best part.
