Hunter Attacks
The ones that happen automatically on grid at sunrise... How do they work, exactly?
I've had more than one person tell me that their character will get attacked by one weeks after getting caught feeding in a security 2 area. But then Nemesis will do the same thing, multiple times, and not get attacked by any at all.
So, my other questions are:
a) What masquerade breaches affect your likelihood of being attacked?
b) How long after the fact do those chances wear off?
c) Do certain actions give you more of a chance of being attacked than others?
d) Is there anything you can do on grid to bring these chances down?
Think that's it, for now.
And please, pleeeease don't post with your speculations if you don't know the facts. Comments are great, but I really don't want people to get confused on this matter any further.
P.S. - If you've had issues with this in particular, it might be a big help to post your own experience.

Re: Hunter Attacks
Wolffyn still holds the city record for violations (27). She hardly ever was hit by hunters until she passed like 3 violations and even after that, it wasn't bad enough to be a hindrance.
Alex gets hit at least once a month even without any violations. Being spotted feeding, using powers, it never seemed to make a diff., even one violation of any kind and those buggars are sneaking into that gal's bedchamber every sunrise...
Besides Alex being an Allurist and Wolffyn a Shadow, the other huge diff between the two is that Alex is a HEAVY B&E'r and Wolffyn hardly ever.

Rather wonderfully, Severina used to get taken out by hunters every day when I was being really careful to not violate anything, but since I spectacularly stopped giving a damn, she's been left alone <.<

The trend I'm noticing is that people who BNE regularly get more hunter attacks.

yesh. I agree with that and I hope to not derail anything but imo? That is not logical. If they were BAD at it and got caught maybe by the law sure, they should have that notoriety but a GOOD thief should be unknown... and Alex is a pretty farking good thief!
How does robbing even a bank (gosh I wish we could... ) equate a person with being a vampire if they haven't used any vampire abilities in the crime?

Re: Hunter Attacks
I don't see how killing cops during a B&E is breaking masquerade either. Vic tried killing a Cop in city...said he had to be level 10 to do that. But he can do it during B&E? Wouldn't that make those kinds of cops different from the Cops you see on grid? And he's only killed maybe...5-ish. Give or take one or two. But he's getting attacked in every new location he usually frequents, including Larch Court.
Also, it might be from doing B&E because Vic had a rise in that kind of thing recently between not doing anything and killing gangsters at the slums.

Re: Hunter Attacks
Alex only kills guards/cops in a B&E once in a blue moon. She uses smoke bombs and knock out bombs if she happens across 99.99% of the time.Victor wrote:I don't see how killing cops during a B&E is breaking masquerade either. Re: Hunter Attacks
Mhm, the people that I've talked to about this only killed a handful of cops in BNE. And by a handful I mean 2-5.

Charlie's never once been hit by a hunter she didn't hunt down first (stepped into a square with a hunter in it) and she's a BnEer.Nell wrote:The trend I'm noticing is that people who BNE regularly get more hunter attacks.
