You could say he's a littlebit lost.

Post by Nik (DELETED 5789) »

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do in order to survive and sometimes it comes with a cost.
He had been sitting in a diner resting his weary butt for an hour or so. As he ate his dinner he noticed a man sitting in a parked car across the street. People came to him and sat in his car for a short while and then left, each looking very suspiciously around them as they stepped out of the car. It was quite obvious he was selling something and the people who visited him were addicts.

Nik stood up and tapped his belly with a smile on his face. He nodded his thanks at the lovely lady behind the counter and left a generous tip for her next to his empty plate . He put on his gloves as he walked out of the diner and touched his gun hidden under his waistband to make sure it was still in it's place. He walked to the car and tapped the passenger side window. The young man opened the car door and Nik sat on the passenger seat. The dealer was barely 20 years old and clearly wasted himself. Nik quickly figured out the young man's entire business. He would buy some decent junk, cut it further and sell it for big profit and fund his own habit that way.

Before the kid had a chance to speak Nik had already pulled his gun and was demanding the kid's money with a smile on his face. The kid didn't argue. People rarely argued with a tall man tattooed from head to toe, speaking with a slight russian accent. Nik stuffed a handful of bills in his pocket and stepped out of the car with his gun still pointed at the young man.
He rushed to his Road King parked in front of the diner and drove off, shooting the kid's rear tyre as he went.

Not a smart move.

As he was accelerating he drove through red lights nearly hitting a man crossing the street, and of course there was a police car about to cross the intersection. Before Nik could realize what had just happened he heard the sirens. He looked back and saw blue and red lights flashing. "****.." he muttered and rolled on the throttle more. He was speeding through the streets for a few minutes and soon there was two cop cars after him. He was starting to panic. He knew nothing of this town and was afraid his luck would turn soon and he would find himself at a dead end.

He was looking around for a place to hide in as he went past a what seemed to be a bar with many motorcycles parked in front. Nik smiled as he zigzagged the streets cutting corners. The bar was a perfect place to hide in plain sight. He just needed to build a little distance in between him and the cops first.

It had been a quiet night thus far. Hell, it had been a quiet week. A quiet month.

It wasn't too much of a surprise, really. The bar still wasn't technically open, not that had stopped people from dropping in as and when they could be bothered. Not that Ven minded in anyway - customers were customers. Just the night before, a small movie night had blossomed into something a bit more crowded when a load of people he only half recognised dropped by, turning the event into a sort of soft opening before the proper opening that was coming later tonight.

He was stood behind the bar, getting ready for their day of the dead opening bash, cleaning glasses, arranging bottles. Directing staff members around the place, indicating where the skulls should be placed. Trying to work out what music would be appropriate to play that night. At the moment he was leaning towards not changing a damn thing about the playlist. People could either pretend or get the hell over it. It was his general opinion on most things.

He was semi lost in thought when the door opened and a stranger burst in. Him being a stranger wasn't the odd part, most of the people that came in were these days. The issue was twofold - firstly, the door had been locked and secondly they weren't open yet anyway. Like, not even for drop ins. The place needed to be shut up to prepare for the party. Ven raised an eyebrow.

"I'm gonna charge you for that, lad," he stated.

Kenlie had woken a bit later than she'd intended, to find out that not only had her alarm been shut off to allow her another hour of sleep... but Victor had taken it upon himself to also go to the store and get every single item that she needed to get her baking done for that night. She couldn't be more lucky to have a man like him. With all of the food that needed to be prepared, not to mention the decorations for the bar and her own offerings, it would take Kenlie and Victor hours to be all set and ready to go.

And Jesus, was there food. The kitchen in Vita Bella looked like a proper bakery after he'd come home. There were brand new utensils for her to work with, bags and cans of ingredients laid out all across the counters, and a variety of icing for her to use to decorate her skulls, which she'd made the previous day.

Fast forward a few hours, and they had pans upon pans of homemade treats ready to be covered and put in the car. From Pan de Muerto to candied pumpkin, they'd made enough for the humans and those vamps that could eat without turning their stomachs inside out. More than that, there were boxes carefully filled with her own decorated calaveras that she'd designed to place around the bar, as well as fifty or so medium-sized skulls that she'd made for people to decorate. She hoped she'd made enough for everyone.

After a shower with Vic, she got dressed into her casual clothes (jeans, a t-shirt, a thick hoodie and her cut) then packed a backpack full of makeup supplies, which included the pieces to her own costume. She would change at the bar after everything was set up. For now, she had to focus on how she was going to transport all of that ******* food.

Of course, the boss did have a pretty nice truck she could borrow. And he probably wouldn't even notice.

With Vic riding right behind her, like her own personal guardian angel, she sped to the bar pretty much empty-handed. With just her bag strapped to her back, she pulled into the lot and killed the engine so she could walk herself back into a spot. Once she kicked the stand out and rested the weight of her bike on it, she climbed off her seat and cast her gaze to where an unfamiliar Road King was parked on the opposite side.

"Huh," she commented as she reached up to tuck a stray curl into her messy bun. As the man pulled up into the space beside her, she took a step not in the direction of the entrance, but around the side so she could grab Ven's truck. It was almost always parked in the back. "I'm gonna borrow his pickup to grab the food," she told him, her eyes still curiously checking out the strange bike.

After a second, she finally looked over at the bearded male and offered him a shrug while she walked backwards towards the back lot. "New coworker, maybe? Be back in twenty!" With that, she spun around to face the direction she was jogging and disappeared around the corner.

"Sorry about the.. umm.." Nik pointed at the door and shoved his hands in his pockets as he walked to the bar where a man was setting things up.
"I don't want any trouble Sir" He continued and emptied his pocket on the bar. A handful of crumpled up small bills.
"Hope that helps cause well.. "He grinned.
"...I am just passing by and there was some trouble with um.." Nik raised his brows nervously.
"..a ciouple of people so I needed to get out of sight and.." He scratched his forhead and looked around. The man didn't look like someone he wanted to mess with.
"..yea.. sorry again."
He was trying to look over his shoulder towards the door if it was safe to step outside.

They busted *** to get the baked goods prepped and ready to go. Watching her in the kitchen was like observing a baking wizard, flour got tossed, icing was delicately traced out, and the whole house smelled ******* delicious. He was starving by the time they finished up. He made sure she had extras of everything, cookware, ingredients, extra containers to put all the finished products in for transport. There was everything there that she might have wanted or needed to help make this entire production easier. And so far it was doing the trick.

While she was gathering up the last bit of finished pastry into a container, he slipped upstairs to collect the things he'd need for the bar tonight. Suit, gun, self. Fairly simple arrangement of necessities. All were packed neatly into a black bag that he'd tie to the back of his bike. For the time being though, he waited for Kenlie to make her way upstairs so they could clean up, get dressed and get the **** outta Dodge.

Few hours later and he was staring at the back of her cut from his bike as they headed over to the bar. Backing up into his regular spot beside Kenlie, he turned off the engine and kicked the stand out. Clears were lifted to his head as he turned to the woman dismounting the other bike. "Alright...I'll go let him know." Pockets were all patted down to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything, he unhooked the bag from the back of his bike and slung it over his shoulder.

His attention followed hers over to the random Road King was sitting. It was a nice looking bike, though perhaps a little beat up. He had to find out who owned this thing and throttle him for such abuse. He too shrugged at the thought of a new coworker. "Be safe, baby." With curiosity and amusement prancing about his head, he picked up Kenlie's bag as well and headed inside. With both bags and his usual overwhelming size, he loomed in the doorway as his gaze caught on the nervous looking male at the bar.

A nod to Ven as he came further into the establishment. "What's goin on?"

Another walking, talking epitome of homicide walked through the door and Nik exhaled as if he was waiting for the unpleasantries to begin.
"Nothing.." He blurted and sat down. **** had already happened, so in his mind, he was waiting for a reaction. He was quietly hoping the situation could be solved in a calm and reasonable fashion.. but looking at these two fellows with their eyes burning holes into Nik's head he was certainly prepared for the opposite.

Then there was that awkward moment of silence.

"What's going on here? Looks like I came in just in time for a partay! ...or..?" He tried the casual more relaxed approach. Nik looked around and everything was a bit too neat to not be new. The pool tables were in good condition, the felts were flawless and not ripped or stained as you sometimes see in biker bars. Only thing wrong was the front door. His face turned red.

As he was starting to plan his smooth exit from the premises, he glanced towards a window and saw a police car rolling past the bar slowly.. His *** remained seated. There was no way he would get out there just yet, unless of course he was escorted out from his neck.
