The Joy of Election Rallies - Support Bancroft (Impact/Open)

Post by Lennox Tyler »

4 am and the sun hadn't even broke through the night sky yet, Lennox was sitting fully dressed in one of her black power suits. Today it was pin-stripped and pants given the cold weather and stilettos rested proudly upon her feet as if the heels went on for miles. Lennox was a confident woman who knew what she wanted and got it. Her parents were political reports who often worked at the White House but she wanted to change the world, one step at a time so went into political science at Grad School to simply become the figure head. Yes, she knew that she had to take those annoying baby steps to get there but working for Bancroft's campaign as if it was her own was a way to show promise in her determination to help make needed changes.

Lennox had interned for President Obama while he was running for his second term. Her nose was glued to the news and she gave her opinions where they were desired to help funnel ideas and efforts for a better world. News had gotten around about her being one for intel and being quite the cut-throat if needed. She was never afraid of a fight and her ethics let that shine through. Granted she was always prepared for when things went south, well trained in Ju-jitsu and has a right to carry firearms license to which she frequents the shooting range. Her parents taught her to be prepared for anything so she prepared herself for everything. How could she be anyone of importance if she was weak? No, she couldn't be weak especially since she was hired to help Bancroft's campaign after the attempted assassination on his campaign manager at a prior rally.

Information on all of the candidates were out there in the open, as long as you knew where to look. Lennox had started to work on covering up the knowledge of Bancroft's past mental issues while throwing all the information she could find on Spencer and Gilbert out there for everyone to see. Gilbert was head-strong on having a curfew and eyes set on the Quarantine Zone, except to the few that she noticed running around in there that were far too in love with 'The Walking Dead' that they lived as "zombies" each day. They might be homeless to live out their dreams but even those that are homeless need a place to live. That wasn't what interested her the most...there was news out there that Gilbert was hanging around with a Mob boss which would mean that he was really going to control her over her term in office to make it easier for him to break the law. Nope...that wasn't going to happen as that would be bad for the community. Spencer was a concern all together with her having ties to the Hebigumo Foundation. With the recent issues with terrorists...she was definitely going to be out of the running and her polls showed that with her constant polls drops.

5 am, Lennox was grabbing her brief case and Louis Vitton purse that concealed everything a woman needed as well as her 9mm, she set off for an exciting day of politics. Stopping in the lobby of Hotel West before leaving for the day, she grabbed a large latte in her re-useable mug. Caffeine power was highly needed as she had set up a rally at the local university for Bancroft. Her opinion always was that children were the future...well there were some that were enrolled at the university that would be first time voters. It was important to get them actively involved. Tipping the barista behind the counter, she took her latte and went on about her day.

Volunteers and interns were ready at headquarters to set up at the university. Pamphlets for the volunteers to pass out and buttons for those that promised to vote for Bancroft to show their support. She had even arranged for volunteers to be around to help those register to vote that hadn't done so yet. Everything was ready to go. Once all of the final checks were made, Lennox sent them off to set up as she called to make sure that the added security detail was in place. This was an important push for the campaign with elections right around the corner. Giving the final instructions, she made her way to the university to help the volunteers and interns. Butterflies made her feel giddy but her refused to let it show as she was serious and focused. Bancroft would win this election, no matter what stops she had to pull to make it happen. The morning rally with a meet and greet to follow...this was sure to seal the deal for Bancroft.
