Well, being in a big group of people competing against others isn't just against Cassandra's character as it's been roleplayed, it's actually against her RP Traits as listed on grid. So, that's not happening. I also think it's unfair to the other two people involved in the bidding for the amounts to be affected because something had to be clarified after-the-fact. This is the first it's been explicitly stated those threads could be RPed in, and even now it's only a "suggestion". There was no RP posted in any thread I'd seen until after I'd bid.

Heck, it doesn't even make sense logically - Pi came out at the beginning of each auction and said, "This card has been approved, bidding can commence. Pi d'Artois."? (Denny Crane.)

If you really want to push the issue, I guess you can delete the bid posts. I feel bad for the others, but I don't really feel like I should have to "finiggle" anything because of this, especially when it's something you obviously felt needed clarification, which you're getting in-game money for.

Dear all,

We have pretty new rules in both the IC and OOC sections.

Natasha and I have been working on these (mostly Natasha to be fair) as a work in progress when I took over the auction. They were always going to be rewritten to more clearly define IC from OOC and we used the ones Ashley used for the interim.

NOTHING has changed as far as rules I posted for this year are concerned. So it's business as usual for this auction. The biggest change is pulling all that ooc out of the ic thread to tidy up what applies to each.

However, it is important to note, some changes are going to happen next year. As we worked through this year's auction, we have made some adjustments to rules, which will come into force for next year and you can see what those are going to be (they've been crossed out).

But we'll worry about next years changes to rules..... NEXT YEAR and just enjoy the auction this year.

Auction Cards - Pre-Auction
Auction cards can be posted as of 11:59pm EST on 16th October 2014.
Auction cards must be up on site by 11:59pm EST on 23rd October 2014.
Auction cards should be titled "[Auction Card] - CHARACTER NAME".
Your auction card should include the following information:

IC
Name:
Duration of Contract:
Background:
Talents:
Open to:
OOC
Character Death: Yes/No
Character Wounding up to death: Yes/No
Discipline: Yes/No
Torture: Yes/No
Sex: Yes/No
Grid Options: Yes/No (If yes, explain what your character has to offer i.e. mechanics, rituals, metalworking, etc.)
The following people will have their bids ignored: (You may put the names of up to 3 individuals on your “No bids will be accepted by” list. You may not exclude an entire bloodline, sub-bloodline, faction, etc.
Please note: NIA’s are to be observed at all times, so while you may wish to add the name of someone you have an NIA with, they will not count towards the 3 name limit.)
Your auction card may NOT include the following:
More than 2 visible images.
Images larger than 500 x 500 pixels. Smaller images are preferable.
Images larger than 200kb in size.
Moving or animated images.
Images that do not conform to the forum’s rules. i.e. No images that are not PG13 appropriate.
Any text other than the character’s name.
You may look to the example auction card for inspiration.
