I think she's concerned about the hours that lead up to the deadline. That is 9pm in my time zone so if I had little ones I'd be trying to get them wound down and into baths and bed, lol.

Some time has to be the one picked, however. And no matter what deadline you pick, someone will be unhappy. I didn't see, are we allowed proxy bidders?

Yeah, I get that, but 11:59 EST is 10:59/9:59/8:59 for the rest of North America so its like murr cuz I don't hardly ever make it home and have the kid down before midnight. It's Halloween. It rocks.

If we can proxy bid that would be cool. Other wise I guess I'll babysit Ry's phone so I can hopefully post.

When I pm'd Pi with the info about the last Auction's rules on proxy bids she seemed agreeable and pointed out this:

No buying Contestants as gifts for someone else, without prior consent from the Contestant. This consent must also be submitted to Pi (PM Me).

Which is on the rules she posted already.

These clarifications came out after I'd already placed a couple of bids, so hopefully it's alright for me to ask that folks understand Cass was never at any point in the room bidding against anyone else. (It would be completely against her character.) I'll avoid it being a further problem by refraining from bidding on any more auctions.

It was always in the rules since posting that the auctions were taking place at Lancaster's

This is how it was listed:

• OOC Auction cards are closed on Sunday 2nd November 2014, Midnight EST
• IC - Auction will be held at Lancaster's the night of 31 October 2014 - this is the date to be used for any Auction RP

I would logically read that as "Auction Cards are OOC" and "Any RP that you want to write regarding the Auction should take place at Lancaster's on October 31st". It should be pretty obvious that wasn't clear since it needed clarification. A bidder could have submitted bids some other way - human/wraith proxies, online bidding, etc. It's pretty common for someone not physically in attendance to place a bid at a professionally-run auction, especially a high-end one.

If you like, I can delete Cass's bids, but if they remain, they are IC and usable, IC as a part of RP.

Just let me know what you'd like to do and I'll be happy to accommodate whatever makes you more comfortable.

There IS a proxy option, if cass wants to use that, but you'll need to finiggle something with the contestant and maybe edit your vid (I can do that for you)
