A Birthday Just Isn't A Birthday, Without Some Cake

Post by Enver Marshall II »

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
This RP takes place on 21st June 2014.
Keara: Four days. Keara had spent the last four days in the catacombs trying the kill terrifying creatures and the one that controlled them. She’d tired of the place several days back and while she continued to toil away, she quite forgot the day, that was until she had removed herself from that place. Returning home, she found their cell empty and so set about the task of cleaning herself up. Having showered, she switched her laptop on and began going through a few local systems, it was then that she noticed the date on the screen. With a sigh, she tightened her towel about her and went to dress in the first thing that came to hand before running upstairs and disappearing through one of the portals. She had items to retrieve that she had left in one of her apartments and it was while she was out fetching these that she sent the first message to Enver telling him that she had returned home. It wasn’t a lie exactly, she had returned home, only now she was running a few errands.

Enver: Keara was on four last he heard and he was on two. If she got knocked back a floor, it was a good possibility he could meet her on three. Lately, he'd been carrying himself quite well, not that he would admit it aloud, but it sat in the back of his mind and fuelled his ego slightly. So yeah, he'd get to three or possibly even four to find her and show her how his training had been going. He wasn't planning on being a fighter, just know enough to get to some of the higher grounds in buildings to more or less sit with his wife while she went around killing the things inside, while he tinkered around with contraptions he was making or had made. He was walking around on two when he got the message his wife was at home. He grumbled, annoyed he wasn't able to surprise her and get a key to the third floor, grabbed some circle thing that looked like something Keara might like or use for her ritual mumbo jumbo and then thought of the attic and seeing his wife. It had been a few nights since he'd seen her. He appeared in the attic not long after he thought of being home and being with her, then called out her name. When he didn't get an answer, the male decided to head to their room and get rid of all the bones and other things he got and didn't need.

Keara: It was his birthday and while she usually didn’t celebrate such occasions, the day in which he came into the world seemed particularly worthy of the effort. She’d started to plan what she might do for the her husband some weeks back, something she was more than happy about now as she’d lost the last few days in which she might of actually been able to find him a gift worthy of him; as it was she’d have to go with what she had. This in mind, she picked up the dress she’d gotten to surprise him and made the effort to get herself ready, though as she looked at her reflection she wasn’t entirely convinced that she’d made the right choice. Had Robert been around she might have sought his council on the matter but as it was, she was alone in this and while she could have asked Crash, his judgement and style did not seem quite so refined as that of her husband and his friend. She had no idea that Enver had already returned home and was searching for her and so had not yet begun to hurry in her task.

Enver: He had made his way down to their room without any delays. It seemed everyone was off doing something tonight. Which was fine with him, he was only home because she was home. If she had been in the raid still, he would have remained in there for at least one more night. Once he was inside their cell, oblivious for now as to his wife being in there and in the bathroom, the male dropped off a few bones, that circle thing and some other nasty odds and ends on a table. So where are you hiding at? He thought at her as he tugged off his blood splattered shirt, shook his head thinking how blood was a pain in the *** to clean off something, then discarded it in the laundry basket. He'd still try at least.

Keara: His message should have alerted her to the fact that he was home but as she was still trying to get her hair to look “elegant”, (something that was no easy task for her what with the fact she had dreadlocks) and had not yet began to worry about keeping him waiting. ‘Hiding I am not My Love. Busy I am. Though perhaps more accurate to say it is, that frustrating myself I am.’ This gave little away as to what she was doing but was rather astute description of the situation she found herself in as she tried to tame her locks.

Enver: She wasn't hiding, but at the same time she was. In his mind. She could have told him where she was while she was on about being busy and frustrated. Well, I left some things on the table in our room. Not sure what you all can use, but decided to see if you wanted them before I just sold them. He replied casually as Enver moved to a dresser, pulled out a new shirt and some jeans, since those too would have to get washed. You want to go out somewhere or we going to stay in? He paused as he looked down at his clothes, wondering if he actually needed to waste time getting dressed, completely oblivious to the fact it was his birthday, because in his mind he had only been focused on one thing and one thing only. Getting to his wife and showing off.

Keara: ‘Thank you My Love,’ came her usual reply, ‘And that decision entirely yours shall be. Away from your side too long I have been. This rectified soon shall be. Where be you?’ She’d managed to get her dreads out of her way at least, with the majority of her hair still hanging down her back, while the top layer was pulled back and pinned as best as she could manage. Having her hair like this meant her features were more visible and that she’d be unable to hide her embarrassment upon seeing him. She’d done little to accentuate her feature with make-up and had only made a slight effort to embolden her lashes and emphasise her lips, something that was quickly achieved with some black mascara and some tinted lip gloss.

Enver: His decision? He hadn't really thought of going anywhere, since he hadn't been home in over a day. He shrugged, and would think about it later, when he met up with her. Or when he found her. I'm in our room. Where the hell are you? For someone who felt like she'd been gone too long from his side, she sure was taking her sweet time trying to find him. At least he thought so. The male pulled out a pair of blue denim jeans, deciding they would go out, somewhere and decided to head to the bathroom. If they were going out, it meant he'd have to shower. If not for the blood, then for the dirt and other grim on his body from the catacomb area.

Keara: ‘Exactly where supposed to be I am.’ Came her cryptic reply. ‘Home shortly I shall be. This promise you I do.’ With this, she looked herself over once more and grimaced at her reflection in the mirror. She so hated her own reflection at times that she almost loathed the fact that after so many centuries she would be forced to look at it once more. Pouting, she swished the skirt of the dress and then pulled it up a few inches to check on the rather ordinary footwear she’d been forced to wear to accompany the thing. “Have to do it shall. Though rather unremarkable I look.” Deanna was god knows where, likely moping over Robert and while a part of Keara wished for a second opinion before she returned home, she wasn’t about to call her sister to her side to ask her if her love would admire her outfit or not, as it seemed almost cruel of her to do so. Snatching up the wrapped gift and the unwrapped one, she tomed home and stepped into the elevator.

Enver: He grumbled at her reply, then headed in to the bathroom. But you said you were at home already. He reminded her, in his usual sulking fashion when things weren't going the way he wanted them to go. As he kicked the door shut behind him with one of his feet, Enver worked on taking off his shoes and jeans before he headed over to the shower, turned it on and then got rid of the rest of his clothing so he could get in to the tub and take a quick shower, since his wife claimed she would be home soon.

Keara: Home I was. Home I now I am. Since they had both been out, Keara wasn’t entirely sure where the puppies were and s when she entered their cell and was not greeted by the usual chorus of yipping and yapping, she wondered if Enver had left them with someone? While she was eager to see their little faces, she was also happy to have some time alone with her husband and so was more than willing to ask as to their whereabouts after she’d greeted him. Hearing the shower running and not wishing to interrupt him or rather, ruin her outfit, she stood and waited for Enver to exit. On the bed was his gift and against the wall the painting he’d more or less requested of her.

Enver: He let her words roll off him, mostly because Enver was sure she was trying to be coy. Something he may have been guilty of teaching her and now kicked himself about it every blue moon. It seemed the two started picking up traits, or qualities from the other with the more time they spent together. Sometimes, that wasn't always a positive thing, especially when she used his tricks against him. His shower was quick, or as quick as it could be for getting off dirt and blood from his skin and soon he was walking out of the bathroom with a new set of pants on, as he worked on getting his shirt on.

Keara: When he walked out the way he did and didn’t notice her, her heart sunk. She was nervous and fidgeting, one arm crossed over her chest to hold her other arm as she waited for him to pull himself free of his clothing. The look on her face showed her anxiety quite clearly but the moment his eyes set upon she smiled and spoke; “Felicitations My Love.”

Enver: One arm through the t-shirt, then the other and finally a head popped out. He stopped when he saw her, looked around the room and then back at her. He didn't know what to say or do. Why was she dressed like that? It wasn't that she looked bad in what she wore, but it seemed out of place for her. Then he groaned. "Did Emilee put you up to this?" He walked over to her, then stopped in front of her. "I like you the way you are. Don't listen to her. She likes to meddle in things that don't pertain to her." He reached out and wrapped both hands around her arms. "You're fine the way you are. More than fine. You're beautiful." He grinned wide at her, making a note in his mind to tell Emilee to sod off, as politely as he could when it came to his wife.

Keara: For a few short moments she was speechless. Emilee? She barely thought of the woman let alone talked with her behind her husband’s back. “No. No. My Love. This my idea was. Is this dress not to your liking?” She sounded stupid but there was no other way of getting his opinion without some sort of explanation and so she quickly continued. “Perhaps recall you do not what I for you on Valentine’s did. The same today done I have. Though no notion have I that celebrations of birth a costume require do. Only wished I did for your style this eve to match. For you to surprise. Know I do that I not so good with these fashions am. Robert better taste than I has but this dress alone was chosen.” She sighed and hung her head. “Perhaps next time allow you I should for to choose what worn should be.”

Enver: "Celebration of bir-Huh?" Enver looked at the dress again and then at his wife. It was then he realized the date and groaned. He had completely forgotten about the day. "Yeah, I remember. No, no, no. I like the dress fine. So long as you like it." He added in, before stepping away a little to really take in the transformation of his wife. "You did this for me? For my birthday?" He looked her over. "I didn't even remember." He admitted with a chuckle.

Keara: She nodded, not yet convinced he liked the efforts she’d gone to. “Disappointed you are? Celebrate such things I seldom do but this day most worth the effort is. My world quite different would be is born unto the realm you were not.” She was rambling quite quickly, another sign of her nervousness as she had no real reason at this point to be excited; though perhaps she was a little as she hadn’t seen him in (what for them was) quite some time. “I have no notion of what a good gift does make and knew not what like you might so designed I did for my appearance to alter and for something more for you to make.” She gestured to the painting she’d wrapped and placed on the bed. “Better I believe it to be than the one that asked your did for me to paint as then little inspiration did I have and so painted then I did a scene that to me calming is but that a proper gift is not for it my scene was, not yours.”

Enver: He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. Here she was trying to be nice for his birthday and he got in over his head on things. Again. "Disappointed? No. Hell no. I'm just surprised is all. Surprised you're like this and went to all this effort and surprised I forgot." He chuckled at his own stupidity. "Why are we celebrating my birthday? We've not celebrated yours. Not in the whole time we've been together. Been more than a year." He pointed out, ignoring the gift for a second. "You being born is important. Probably more important."

Keara: She shook her head quite vehemently. “Oh no My Love. My birth all meaning lost, many centuries past. Think of it I never do and upon that day dating as yet we were not. Well. Perhaps that wrong is. Dating in a sense we may have been but admitted as such we then we had not. Spoke I did to you upon the date of my birth last year. Only then knew you did not that, that the day was. Told me you did of your commitment to River for she you had purchased in the auction. Do you that remember?”

Enver: He waved a hand in the air. "Doesn't matter how many centuries past. If you weren't around, then Vedarian wouldn't be around. That's something to celebrate and recognize." He nodded his head at the vague recollection of what she was talking about. "Yeah, I remember." He ran a hand through his hair, then looked over at the present on the bed. While he liked presents (more than he probably should at his age), Enver wasn't ready to open it yet. "Hardly think it's fair I get a present for my birthday, but you don't get any. Haven't gotten any for some time I reckon."

Keara: “Gifts give unto me you do regularly. Have I do you. You my gift are.” Keara then remembered that it was on her birthday that she’d contacted River and arranged to pay half the auctions purchase price for Enver so that she could take him for half of the allotted time; so in that way her words were truer than even she had realised when she’d spoken them. “And much it is not. Correction really. As picture that painted first for you I did, wrong for you was,” she once more intimated towards the forest drawing that was propped against the wall. “Love you I do and worth more you are that what gift you I can. Need I do for to learn what gifts appropriate for you would be. Perhaps many years take it shall before I your style better can imitate and your wishes know.”

Enver: He scoffed. "You give me things too." He pointed out, knowing that was true. Still, he looked at the large item and grinned at it. He couldn't help it. Especially when he realized what it was due to her words. He had forgotten about the request he made, until that moment. "I think you're doing just fine. Judging by that dress." He winked at her, letting his eyes roam over her frame, before he reached out and gave her butt a firm squeeze. Then he moved over to the bed and started to unwrap the large gift and grinned wide at it. This one suited him much, much better. He nodded to show her that too. "It'll look real nice in my office." He carefully rested the painting against the headboard of their bed, then reached out to gather both her arms and pull her towards him. "Thank you gorgeous." He tipped up her chin so he could put a kiss on her lips, before he let his hands wander over the rest of her body, quite pleased with the way the dress hung on her.

Keara: Had she breath to hold, she’d of been holding it as he appraised her work but all thoughts of what she’d given him and what she wore were quickly lost when he pulled her into his arms. Far too much time had passed since she’d felt the pleasant pressure of his lips upon her and she shivered at the contact before eagerly wrapping her arms around him. When she was finally able to pull her lips from his, as much from her own reluctant as his, she whispered; “The nights yours is My Love. Decide we should what done should be before lose ourselves we do to one another.” The thought alone was tempting enough and he could likely see as much in her eyes. “One last gift have I to offer. Name you may anything of me and so long as in my power it is for that request to grant, grant it I shall.” She trailed kisses down his throat, unable to completely compose herself yet or free herself from his grasp.

Enver: "Don't really think that's a bad thing-" Enver grinned cheekily at the idea of them staying inside. But it would be a waste. With how she was dressed and all the trouble she went to for him. "But maybe we could go out for an hour or something." He interjected his own thoughts aloud to her before he moved away and decided to dress up his jeans by pulling out a dark purple button down shirt and putting it on over his t-shirt. "Anything?" Enver asked as he started to button up the shirt. His mind went there, (how could it not?) before he realized that she would probably do just about anything in that capability anyways. At least once in their married life. If he asked. Other thoughts came to his mind. Don't talk to Robert Pratt again. Banish Deanna when she decided to start being her usual self again at Enver. But all those seemed unfair of him to ask of her, so they too were quickly disregarded. "I'm not real sure. I think I've got everything I need. Everything I want." He admitted vocally as he secured the last button together.

Keara: She could barely stand to have him pull away from her but she contented herself with watching him change. “Then save your gift you may, if know you do not what it is of me you wish to ask. Anything that desire you do done shall be. This promise I can. So long as able I am for your wish to accommodate. Ask you should something of me that think you would, refused would be if asked upon another time.” She smiled at him and closed the distance between them as soon as he was finished. “Though… Probably do I would always what in my power is for you happy to make. Know that you do. Yes?”

Enver: He had a few ideas, but he wanted to make sure those ideas were what he wanted and seemed agreeable in the end if he asked it of her. "I know. Because it's the same for you. If I could, I would." He nodded his head at the question, emphasizing that he knew what she said was true. "I'll think of something by the end of the night." He promised her. "After our date." He winked at her, grabbed one of her hands and tugged her to him. "You sure of the terms?" He grinned deviously at her before he waggled his brows at her.

Keara: Keara squeezed his hand and smiled at him more warmly as her earlier nerves were quite forgotten. “Anything of me you may ask My Enver. No conditions do I upon my gift to you place. So long as my doing so, you happy would make. Hmm… Our date…?” she mused over it being theirs as really the night was supposed to be for him. She’d happily go with him to a restaurant if that was what he wanted that evening or a bar of some sort. Dancing was what they probably best suited in their outfits and yet she wouldn’t rule out them doing something silly like paintball or mini-golf; the pair were quite prone to going along with whatever whim it was that took their fancy. “Have you decided what like you would to do or need I suggestions to make?”

Enver: He nodded his head after thinking in silence for a minute, maybe two. "Depends. Can we do more than one thing?" He Rubbed at his jaw with his one free hand, the other still holding on to her hand as he stared down at her. "One thing out of the house, one thing inside." He looked around the room, started putting all the things he had brought out earlier away in random drawers that were organized in no real way because that's just how he worked and then returned his attention back to her.

Keara: “Of course,” her smile was warm and genuine and showed her fangs, something she was more than comfortable doing these days around him. “Do we may anything that desire you do to do. One. Two. More even. Matters it does not so long as it your desire is. This your night is.” He hardly needed reminding and while it was perhaps lazy of her to make him choose what he wanted to do for his birthday, it was by far the best plan as he got to have everything his own way for the night.

Enver: He nodded, a satisfactory nod, grabbed out his phone, shot a text to Crash for something he wanted the thrall to pick up for him and then put it away, not bothering to wait for a reply, just trusting that the guy would do it. "Alright. I think and hope you'll like this first thing. Second might be iffy, but-" He trailed off with a shrug and then pressed the button to call the elevator and waited for it. "Found this place once by accident. Not really my thing. Not something I'd do alone, but think it'd be fun with you." He explained, not really giving any more details than that as the elevator arrived and he stepped in, pulling her in with him, as he still had a good hold on her hand. "So this wish. Doesn't expire any time, right? Could cash in on it in a year or something?"

Keara: She followed, as she always did, her mind still thinking over what he’d said about hoping she liked whatever it was he had planned. “Hmm…Thought I had not upon a time frame My Love. Thought I did perhaps that you a desire would have that easily named could be. Too many even. And that perhaps only a little time needed would be for to choose which of my faults corrected should be.” She wasn’t teasing in this, as while there was a good chance that Enver would ask for some sort of sexual favour, she knew she wasn’t perfect and likely had habits he’d change in her given the chance. “And said I did this night yours is. Need I do not for the activities to enjoy. Take pleasure I shall in your company.” She nodded, squeezed his hand and then brought it to her lips to kiss the back of it as she looked into his eyes.

Enver: He waved a dismissive hand and scoffed for good measure too. "We're married. A team, should do things we both will get a kick out of." He nodded his head, pushed the button for the ground floor and felt the elevator descend. "Probably would have been easier to take the portal." He said to himself, then shrugged his shoulders. "What's the quickest way to Redwood, beautiful?" He asked once the door opened to the main floor. She was the better navigator than he was in all truth and didn't want to waste much time trying to figure it out and waste half their night of what he hoped would be fun.

Keara: “Teleportation,” she said without thinking and without meaning to tease him in any way. Teleporting to the location would of course be the quickest method by far. “Celerity also quick is. Though trickier is for me for to run in such shoes.” She looked down and pulled at a section of the long flowing dress to reveal her footwear. “Whereto in Redwood are we to go?” she was asking more in a geographical sense as the that district had no station of its own and so figuring out the quickest route, required knowing a little of the area they were going to. “Swansdale or Wickbridge most likely the closest stations are. If you your secret wish to keep, choose you must the one that you best does suit. Of course then perhaps portal quickest way would be. Though,” she swung their joined hands, “time with you never wasted can be.”

Enver: "Ahh," he rubbed at his jaw and then shrugged. "Swansdale sounds good." With that he nodded his head, stopped abruptly and then grabbed at her waist. Since she seemed as if she were trying to get used to the dress she was wearing and they'd be walking a little bit, Enver decided this was the best way to go about getting them around. And, well, it gave him a great view too, when he didn't need to look at where he was going. With her butt in the air and over his shoulder, he carried her out and towards the train station. "We're going dancing. Sort of." It was the only thing he'd say any more about where they were going, because he liked surprises and liked surprising her.

Keara: He usually carried her like this when he was in other moods and so him putting her over his shoulder like he did took her by surprise. The only thought she had running through her mind was that this dress at least covered her *** and so all in all she didn’t mind being carried, even if people were going to stare. It was at this that she started to laugh. “Dancing of sorts we are to do and yet trust you do not in my ability to walk?” She reached down and smacked his butt, hardly even aware of anyone on the street around them.

Enver: "I trust you. But I'm taller and walk faster." He pointed out as if that was a good enough reason for him to be carrying her the way he was. He could have said the moonlight was too bright for his eyes and the way she was positioned worked nicely and still, she'd be on his shoulders. "Besides, the view is nice." He chuckled when she slapped his butt, letting his hand rest on her own before he put her down gently at the station's platform as they waited for the train.

Keara: “Teach you I should, perhaps, for the correct way a woman to carry,” she teased. “Though likely complain you would that the view good enough then is not.” He knew how to carry a lady, of that she was certain as she recalled him scooping her up after their wedding and carrying her to their cell. Enver just liked to be Enver, at least that was how she saw it and while he could carry his wife in a dignified manner, throwing her over his shoulder was more his style. “Mind you do not…” she began as her hands moved to cup his face, “for always this way to look?” She lost herself in his eyes, her own dark orbs sparkling back at him with love and affection.

Enver: He scoffed at that. "Wouldn't be much fun in that, gorgeous." He admitted with a chuckle, followed by a nod before she grabbed his complete attention by cupping his face and staring in to his eyes. "Huh?" He asked her, not real sure what she meant. "Look? No complaints here." He decided she meant him looking at her ***, and signified that by reaching around her frame and grabbing her cheeks and giving them a firm squeeze with a wide grin. "Just enough to grab on to when it's needed." He winked down at her as the train finally appeared and came to a stop to collect the next set of riders.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Keara: Keara gave him a warm smile and even blushed a little. “That nice to know is, but meant I did that mind you do not that age you never shall?” She pushed herself up onto the tips of her toes and tenderly kissed him on the lips. “Sometimes think I do that realise you do not what become of you has.” She was genuinely concerned for him as she knew he clung to his mortality and whatever she could do to help him adjust to his fate was as much her duty as it was her pleasure. She knew she could look at him forever, but she wasn’t certain that he was prepared for the fact that years would come and go and that despite obtaining the odd scar or two, he was never likely to change from how he looked now.

Enver: "So long as my wife doesn't mind waking up to see the same thing day in and day out forever." He used the grip he had on her to his advantage, lifting her up a little as she came to kiss him. He kept her right where she was so he could keep talking. "You're the one that has to look at it day in and day out. Or night." He chuckled, then shrugged his shoulders. "Besides this mug got me where I am today. So can't be all that bad looking." He released his hold on her *** when it was evident they were going to miss the train, with a chuckle, then reclaimed her hand in his and headed on to the train.

Keara: She bit her lip as he more or less said he was fine with it so long as she was; she was of course more than happy to look at him for eternity, she’d never have married him if she wasn’t. Her heels lightly clipped on the platform as she followed him onto the train and the moment they were settled in the carriage, she moved to face him, wrapped her arms around his waist and looked up at him again. “Look at you forever with great pleasure I shall. Love you I do.” She lightly stroked his cheek. “Most attractive you are. That never doubted should be.”

Enver: A big, foolish grin pulled on the corners of his lips as she said that. He knew she would, even if he wound up with quite a few scars, being they talked about this and him taking it easy more or less in some things. Not that he always listened because sometimes he thought himself invincible on some things, or he just wanted to show off because his wife was in far better shape than he was; physically. So when a rare physical feat was attempted and he was successful, sometimes it went to his head. An arm wrapped around her at about the time the train started departing for its first stop, Newborough station. "I'll take your word for it. Think you're the better looking of the two of us." He winked at her as he pulled her closer to him, if that were even possible. "How long do you think forever could be for our kind? Think that we could always you know, die and come back?" He looked at her from the side, wondering her thoughts on it.

Keara: Very reluctantly she looked away from him to check if anyone was eavesdropping on their conversation, once she was sure it was safe to talk she replied. “Eternity with Ven but two centuries was. If discount I do the time that I in the Shadow Realm was. As for us… Know that I do not.” She was overcome with emotion for the words she was yet to speak and passionately claimed his lips, crushing herself against him as she wound her arms around his neck. “Hope I do for eternity. For no shorter time with you, me shall satisfy.”

Enver: Two centuries wasn't enough for him in his mind, still anything could happen. If the rumors were true and they couldn't escape for whatever reason after not being able to, was it possible something like that could happen again? If it was, Enver knew he'd be on a few people's list to be dispatched of as quickly as possible. He'd never really thought of it until now, but it did make him pause. Only for a second until she was against him and was kissing him. He growled, as if warning her that she might be starting something she probably shouldn't with people around, then decided to hell with it, grabbed both her arms and yanked her in to his lap as he kissed her back. A hand left her arm and moved to her hair, where he undid whatever device it was that kept her hair off her face and collected her hair, as if ensuring she'd stay right where she was with him doing this.

Keara: She didn’t realise what she was about to start until she heard the rumble in his throat and felt him respond. They were usually much more careful in public and she might have pulled away had she heard someone in their carriage click their tongue disapprovingly but in that moment she was entirely lost in his attention. She had a little more difficulty wrapping her legs about him than usual due to the length of the gown she was wearing but she managed it after a making a few adjustments to it. Keara was entirely within his power and she’d said that it was his night so even as the thought of their location flashed through her mind, she couldn’t bring herself to pull away or tell him to stop. He was in control of her and in that moment, there was nothing more in the world she wanted more.

Enver: Yeah, there were people around. A lot of people. And he knew it too, but he didn't give a rats ***. If someone didn't like it, they could go to the next car on the train or get off. Simple as that. A hand remained on her backside as the other traced the length of her leg as he moved them forward and up against a seat in the train, where he could use the top of it to keep her up and around him as they carried on. At least, until the train came to its first stop and jostled the couple forward, the two of them being pushed slightly forward to the point she almost went down in to the seat that they stood behind. He chuckled, then moved his glance to an elderly woman who uttered the words 'disgusting and indecent and kids today,' before she got off the train with her metal cart filled with bags of groceries.

Keara: She’d barely noticed their change in position until the train stopped and they were moved in a manner that seemed counterproductive to their activity. It was then that she blushed deeply, bit her lip and half buried her face in Enver’s chest. “Think I do that put me down perhaps you should. More discrete than this we are.” Her words were mumbled against him, but he likely caught the gist of what she was saying. The words themselves were well meaning but there was a certain amount of disappointment in what she was saying that showed they would be picking up where they left off later that evening.

Enver: He scowled when he heard the old woman, but it deepened when he heard what his wife had to say. She had a point, but he didn't like being reminded of it. Always had to be good for something or someone. People. The Crow asshole, Tytonidae and anyone or anything else that came along trying to put their law down or their rules of etiquette. "Fine." He said in an almost sulky manner as the train started up again and headed to their stop. Though he let her go and allowed her to be on the floor again with her own feet, that didn't stop him from keeping hold of his wife and keeping her near him. It wasn't that he didn't trust her, it was more like he didn't trust the world to be around by his wife, more so any male figures. And any male on the train got a quick glare by Enver as he sized them up before his attention returned to her and his gaze softened, just a little. "Think you can move around in that dress? For dancing?" He eyed her up not once, but twice, allowing his grin to return on his face from taking the opportunity to eye her frame and curves.

Keara: He was as disappointed as she was to have to delay that portion of the evening’s entertainment but it was for the best and she all too eagerly nestled herself against him when the opportunity arose. She was unaware of who he was glaring at but she could read his emotions as she watched his face. Keara couldn’t have described a single person in the carriage with them, something which went against every aspect of her being, as she could usually tell within seconds how many people there were, where the exits were etcetera the moment she entered any building or structure. Enver was her greatest weakness as he made her so completely vulnerable; hunting with him was difficult for that very reason as while she could lose herself in a fight, one look at him and she could be caught off-guard. “Oh. Of course. Dance very well in this I believe I can. Appropriate it is not? For what you in mind have to do.”

Enver: He tried not to smirk, thinking about how appropriate it wasn't going to be and how out of sorts they'd look in the place they were going to, but it'd be worth it. To see his wife in what he thought was her element (in a sense) shaking her *** would be completely worth it. Not that she knew what was coming yet. "Well, it might get some attention. It is a damn good looking dress." He commented as a thumb stroked over the flesh of her arm as he kept her near him. "You ever been to this side of town?" Normally she was a catacombs gal, or sewers, but that didn't mean the sewers didn't ever take her here.

Keara: “Walked I have the city many times. Seldom have I reason for this way to come. Above ground that is. And glad I am that you the dress do like. Like I do for you to please.” Keara resisted the urge to kiss him but only just, her body stiffened however as she forced herself to behave, possibly giving away the fact that something was going on inside her mind that she wasn’t sharing. She’d also forced herself to look away from him now and was paying so much attention to the floor that one could have sworn it was a priceless piece of art.

Enver: He nodded his head. Just as he suspected, she didn't really know this side of town, which was fine by him. That meant it'd be a surprise for her. "We're just going to go down this way." Enver pointed, then nudged his head in the direction they needed to go. His hand grabbed hers, linking their hands together as they walked, eventually down to the club known as Nightmode. It wasn't one of his favorites, hell it wasn't even a club he'd gone too willingly, but he had met Crash here once for some transaction that went bad and Enver had to throw down a lot of cash to keep the guy alive for some **** that wasn't up to par that he was selling. Enver had told him it was his one freebie and that he'd better watch who and what he was selling to them or he would end up dead some night. "Here we are." He said nodding his head, grabbing out his wallet and then slipping a large bill in the bouncers hand to get in the front of the line and in to the club quicker. He pulled the door open with his free hand, then dropped her hand, regrettably, to usher her in. "Ladies first." He gave her a wink, then waited for her to enter before he followed after her.

Keara: While she wasn’t all that familiar with this side of town (as she seldom had reason to be there) she was familiar with the area they were in, something she didn’t realise until they reached the club’s doors. Having been looking at the pavement for most of the way, she’d not really been able to discern any landmarks, now however, she knew exactly where they were. She laughed as he opened the door and ushered her inside, unable to fight against him but knowing full well that when the laughter wore off he’d be getting reprimanded. This night was his night, not hers and this choice of club seemed more in keeping with her tastes than with his. “Scold you I should,” she said as they waited to pay. “Suspect I do that we here for me are but it my birthday is not. If known I did that you here wished to come then worn I would have anything else that own I do.” She looked down at her dress and then around at those about them. While this was not the place for this sort of dress, she didn’t really mind, as she was quite at home being the odd one out.

Enver: He shook his head as a sly grin pulled on his lips. "No. We're here for me. Trust me, beautiful." As she walked past him, and inside, her let the door close behind them, put an arm around her waist and let his hand rest between her lower back and her ***. She wouldn't believe him, but she would see in time that while this place was a time eater (to allow Crash to get the things he asked), it really did benefit him. "Let's go oooveeer-" Enver looked around, then pointed to the side of the club where there really wasn't a lot of people. Either because it wasn't that late yet, or because of the day of the week it was, or maybe clubs weren't that busy in summer. Not when there were other things to do. "Let's grab ahh, a chair I guess. Or two." He nodded his head, as if he thought that was the best idea he'd come up with all night before commenting on the way she dressed. "Does it matter that you stick out a little? It's my birthday, not theirs." He chuckled, squeezed her butt then sat down first. Normally, he'd wait for her to sit, but not this time. This time he sat, and tugged her in his lap and planted a kiss on her lips. "You look great. If they stare, it's only because they're jealous I'm with you."

Keara: He was up to something and she knew it. She just wasn’t sure what it was. While he sounded confident in the answers he gave, she knew there was something he wasn’t saying. He’d said they were going dancing but the moment they arrived he’d suggested they sit. Keara didn’t argue though and had he not have pulled her onto his lap she’d of seated herself there; though then she might have straddled it, rather than sitting on him a slightly more lady like manner. His kiss prevented her from sharing her suspicions and having kissed him those thoughts were quickly forgotten. “Yes. Quite agree I do. Jealous they shall be for you mine are.” His words may have been twisted from the way in which he meant them, but they made more sense to her this way around. Before he could argue, she hungrily sought to kiss him again. With one hand around his shoulders and the other lovingly cupping his jawline, she deepened the kiss between them, once more forgetting that the world around them existed.

Enver: He was just about to clarify what he meant and how it was meant to be a compliment at her, but her lips on his stifled any words that started to leave his lips. He groaned as his hands trailed up the length of her back and in her hair. It was easy to get absorbed in his wife, or what they were doing, for the male. Until someone or something interrupted them. Usually. This time he broke them apart, with a hand going down to her butt, where he gave it a hard slap. "Home. We'll get there soon enough." He promised her with a chuckle as his eyes wavered to the DJ booth and the people dancing. "First, you owe me a dance." Enver grinned, like a boy on Christmas Day as the thoughts ran wild in his head. "And I'm going to watch." Finally, his agenda for some of the night was revealed.

Keara: As usual when he broke from the kiss earlier than she’d o liked, Keara pouted at him. She was beginning to regret them leaving their home in the first place, as they were more than a little distracted by one another this night. It could have been because of the good mood they were both in but it was likely to be the fact that she’d been away in a raid for a few nights. Had it not been his birthday, she’d definitely not have suggested they go out. “Alone? Wish you do not for with me to dance?” Knowing her as well as he did, it was probably easy for him to hear the rejection she felt in her voice.

Enver: He frowned when he heard that tone in her voice. She evidently wasn't getting where this was going, not that she probably would have. He sat up a little, her still in his lap and thought best how to explain it. "Ahh, well, yeah." He started, stammering a little bit. He sighed knowing that wasn't a good enough answer. "No, well, yeah, but." Another sigh. "No, look you're alone, but you're not really alone." A hand went to the bridge of his nose so he could pinch it. "Look, it's my birthday, yeah?" He asked, but didn't wait for an answer, because one wasn't needed. It was why they were out here in the first place. "It's sort of the pre-party." He went on to explain. "A teaser. Setting the mood for later." He looked around. "I don't want you to dance out there, with those people." He went on, "I want you to dance here, by me. Until the rest of our night falls in place." He looked her in the eyes, wondering if she understood what he was getting at, or if she would need a straight forward answer to explain himself better.

Keara: “Dance for you at home I can. And do. Why did we here need to come if wish you did such a thing from me?” She was still settled on his lap, refusing to move until she got her answer. Keara had no problem dancing for Enver even if the dress she wore, would hamper the intimate style of dance he seemed to be desiring, what made her reluctant to stand up was the fact that she didn’t understand the need for an audience.

Enver: He sighed and nodded his head in agreement. It was true and probably the most logical answer. They could have done this at home, but then again, how would Crash get everything ready? "Well, yeah. But look." He sighed and nudged his head at all the people in the club, most specifically, the ones looking at them. Maybe it was because of how she was dressed, or maybe because she was the best damn looking thing in there, but regardless, people were looking. "You could do that at home, but you could do it here. Minus the taking off the clothes bit." He said the last few words in a low tone so no one would hear but her. "But here, people see it and they're jealous. Jealous that she's dancing for that guy. That you're dancing like that for me." Was it a little egotistical that he wanted that sort of reaction? Sure, but it was his birthday and deep down, sometimes he was a little egotistical.

Keara: His words had the desired impact and she was soon on her feet. She took a moment to look about her, briefly taking in the faces that seemed to be paying attention to what they were doing and then turned her focus back to Enver. She wasn’t about to give him a lap dance in the middle of the club, as that wasn’t her style, but she was happy to dance for and around him. She moved in the most elegant manner about him, her style of dancing not quite matching the type of music the club was playing and yet still somehow working with the beat the songs provided. Several times she moved in close to him as if to kiss him but ended up pulling away at the last minute, not because she wanted to tease him but rather because she knew she couldn’t trust herself to keep her dancing clean if she did.

Enver: When she got up, it confirmed for him that he had explained it well enough. He wasn't looking for the type of dance that they did when they were alone in their home, because Enver wasn't that big in to sharing. Not when it came to his wife. When she came close, he'd try and grab at her to get that kiss she was teasing him with. That was until his phone went off with a text that read, Got all the stuff on the list, man. Dropped it off in the right place. When Keara would come back in front of him, Enver would grab at both her hips and yank her to him. His lips would graze hers before he spoke. "Let’s bring the party home." Hopefully Crash didn't let him down.

Keara: Him checking his phone annoyed Keara, what with the dancing being his idea and all. This was perhaps his plan however, as it definitely made her easier to grab a hold of and she was unable to sustain any bad thoughts about him as their lips brushed and he suggested they leave. Enver was an odd sort, Keara knew that, but they’d barely been in the place. They’d come all of this way, to the other side of the city and for what? She had no idea but decided she didn’t really care as they were both getting what they wanted by returning home. “Tome or train?” Her fingertips lightly trailed their way down his jawline as she tried not to look too deeply into his eyes. His lips were ever so distracting and in an effort to stop herself from kissing them, she lightly run her thumb over the lower lip.

Enver: Tome or train? It wasn't that difficult of an answer for him. Tomes took someone home in a matter of seconds. Quicker. Trains took half an hour or so. Quicker was good for him. "Tome." He barked out as her felt her fingers on his lips, the male's eyes locked on her face before he grabbed that thumb and pressed a kiss to the soft skin of the underside. As he stood, he picked her up with him, almost as a man would do as they crossed the threshold of their home. It only lasted a few seconds, knowing she would have something to say about that, before he kissed her lips and set her on her feet. "Come on gorgeous." They would weave through various people and around objects in the club before he pulled her in to the bathroom and waggled his brows at her. "See you at home." He thought of what was waiting at home, the home itself and vanished from sight to the tome's location. Once he got there, he pressed the elevator key, calling it to them as he waited for her to appear after him.

Keara: She wasn’t far behind him. His kisses had been so distracting and she’d said nothing at all being lead through the crowd. Once alone in the bathroom, it was all too obvious that his answer had pleased her, as she couldn’t help but smile at him before he disappeared. Once he was gone, she ran to the mirror to check her appearance, looked around to make sure she was in fact alone and then followed him. To those that saw the couple enter the restroom, it was probably all too obvious what they were about to do; only they couldn’t have possibly guessed that they’d be making a location change first. Appearing inside the asylum, she immediately flung herself at him, her arms wrapping around his neck. “Home the better plan was. Go out to celebrate we can another night. Yes?”

Enver: Her excitement was met with a laugh as he felt her arms wrap around him. It wasn't always like this, but usually it was. Unless he did something stupid, which he did on occasion. "Any night." He agreed with her, even nodding. A hand sought hers out, before the elevator pinged and opened. "Come on." He encouraged her with a gentle yank in the elevator. "We've got to get some things before we call it a night." Genuinely calling it a night wasn't in his mind, but they did have to grab some things since Crash wasn't allowed anywhere near their room. He didn't quite trust the guy to behave around his wife, or her things. When the door closed, Enver took advantage of their alone time, letting his hands roam the contours of her body as his lips melded against hers. He would stay as close as he could to her, until the doors reopened again, which he would pull her out with a chuckle and head to the kitchen area with her. "A birthday just isn't a birthday, without some cake." He nodded, an overly amused look on his face.

Keara: She wasn’t lost for words as such, she just didn’t think that they were necessary. It wasn’t like she was going to protest in any way and the moment they were in the elevator he pretty much had her distracted. It wasn’t until she found they were on the ground floor that began to wonder what on earth it was that Enver was up to. “Cake?” she asked, following with her usual light footwork. “Does one always cake upon their birthday require?” This was another tradition Keara was unfamiliar with to some extent. Yes, she and Ven had been to and hosted elaborate functions involving birthday cakes in the past, but never having been able to taste them had rendered the things irrelevant in Keara’s mind and she had no idea that such a tradition had continued through the ages.

Enver: He stopped and looked at her. Sometimes, the things she said surprised him, though it shouldn't. There was a large gap between their age and she had missed a few hundred years, supposedly. Sure, he believed his wife hadn't been around for a while, but how was it that they managed to get out after all that time? His bet was some vampires were still around, somewhere, walking around having a good time while his wife was stuck in that place for a while. "Yeah. Always. Well, there are variations now. Some people just go out to get **** faced and that's good enough for them on the cake front. Some don't like cake. so they do something else. Maybe cupcakes, ice cream, something like that." He continued towards the kitchen, his grin growing wider and wider. "But this cake is a special one. Not many people make this sort of cake." He nodded his head, and gave a soft chuckle. Once they got to the kitchen they would both see an assortment of things put out on one of the counters. Frosting in a plastic jar, sprinkles of all sorts in more plastic jars, whipped cream, some crushed chocolate baking bits, slivered nuts in a jar, and some fresh fruit.

Keara: She was about to ask what was so special about this cake of his, when she saw the assortment of edible ingredients laid out on the counter. “Oh.” It didn’t take Keara long to work out what was so special about this cake and what all these ingredients were for and she blushed slightly, her fang finding its way into her lower lip as she looked to him. They didn’t make a habit of playing with food, but she didn’t recall them ever having had such a variety of things to work with before. “This a better outfit for to be wearing would have been, when returned home earlier you did. Yes?” She’d not thought of that herself but now he’d given her the idea, she’d remember to do it herself on another occasion.

Enver: Her blush pulled him to her, temporarily forgetting about the ingredients as he trapped her between him and the counter to take a kiss from her. "Better?" He echoed after her, then gave it some thought. "Not better. Just different. Variety is the spice of life. This is just something different. Not better. Just shakes things up a little." He didn't want it to seem that he didn't appreciate her efforts, because he knew how much work she put in to wearing a dress like that and doing her hair the way she had. "It's fun." He added in, both his hands landing on the counter top, one on each side of her, giving her another kiss. After the kiss, he picked her up and put her on the counter. Enver then handed her a couple of the ingredients, then collected her in his arms for the second time that night. "Come on. We've got a cake to make." He grinned wide, winked at her, then whisked her away to their room.
