She blinked as she saw the runners fall upon each other and begin to fight. Temperance had told her about the power, but she had never witnessed it in action till now. Zodiac looked at Alex and grinned.
"Nice action there. I just hope a few other telepaths caught my message and pushed it along. Kinda like Chinese Telephone with telepathy." she told the taller blonde.
Odin seemed to be holding the line on his side of things for now, so the mystic tried to evaluate their situation. They were safe, for the moment. As long as they could use their powers, they could hold off pretty much anything if they kept focused. Which brought her eyes back to the hidden moon in the sky. The wind was behaving itself so far and the black mass was holding its place, but they could not count on that for the remainder of the night and what then? The majority of them could not function in the sunlight and would be forced to retreat, unlike the troops and paladins lurking about. They would have even a bigger advantage and what of the next night? They would be wise to what they had managed here and be ready in case they tried to do it again. She sent her concerns to Alex's thoughts as her hands gently massaged Snow's shoulders.
"You did great," her thoughts told the girl. "Take a break. If we have to get it all going again, I will let you know."
Zodiac turned back to Alex and began to use her hands to speak instead of her thoughts. Snow was smart enough to realize it was a conversation the mystic did not want to share with her, she imagined, but she didn't need the child to finally start panicking.
All this is just a delaying game unless someone figures out what is causing this and puts a stop to it. I don't know about you but I don't have a single clue where to even begin looking. Somewhere the paladins hang out? I doubt they posted up notices saying 'Secret Paladin Base Here'. her formed words were slow and steady. So I am open to suggestions what do we do next.

Re: Blood Moon.... (Open, PM me if you want to be plot)
Remembering the first time she had lost her powers, Alexandrea couldn't help but wonder as to why when then had been blocked this time she hadn't suffered the same effect as when she shot her friend in the heart. Now that she had her powers back, it wasn't really an issue but despite that moment being the wrong time to wonder about it? Alex was.
What was different about having had mind block used on her and this situation. Something nagged at her about it and even though she wasn't smart enough to figure it out, she felt strongly that it was important.
Watching the hunters attacking each other a few seconds, she caught Zodiac's grin and returned it then made sure to relay the Mystic's mental message to any vampire she could think of, about them being back to normal for at least a short time. She added their location and the fact that any help at all would help her and Zodiac to keep the strange power of the blood moon at bay.
Alexandrea turned back around to check on Odin as Zodiac comforted Snow and grew worried when she couldn't see him at first. But he was just reloading his weapon and soon was back on guard on the other side of the roof. When she faced back to her side of the roof, she saw the Gypsy had started to sign to her and tried not to frown. She was still a novice at sign language and now that they had their powers back, why wasn't the Mystic just using her telepathic ability to send into Alex's mind?
Zodiac went slowly however, so Alex was able to keep up and figure out most of what she was being told. She nodded to show she understood and not sure about just why Zodiac felt signing was better was mind speak, went ahead and slowly signed back. Still having to spell out each and every word, so she kept it short.
"We have to take one of them alive." Short and simple, but the message was clear enough. The only way that the they of them were going to be able to figure out what was causing this would be to capture a paladin and try to get the information out of them.
Her gaze went back up the the clouds that still covered the moon that had seemed to betray them and she closed her eyes and sent a brief prayer to Nox. The fact that the effect of whatever had been done to hinder the vampires of the town (maybe all over the world, if any were outside of Harper Rock?) Had seemed to use the very moon, the greatest symbol of the night and of Nox, as a weapon against her kind offended her somehow.
"Why isn't it the same? What's different about losing my powers this time???" The words were muttered under her breath, Alexandrea didn't even realize that she had spoken out loud.

Ishani-Snow pretended that she had not been scared, if she pretend that she hadn't been scared then she would be able to rewrite her own history so that she had been brave. Surely her Father had not notice her scream even if her Auntie Kitty and Alexandrea had noticed her fear even if in her own mind it had only been a second of burning scraps of flying metal that had rain down upon the earth. The very part of said earth she herself had been standing on. Had it been elsewhere, if only it had been elsewhere and she was watching it.
“I'm fine...” she muttered under her breath, she felt ashamed of herself for being scared for clinging to her Auntie Kitty... but she would not allow herself to say so. She lifted her head up towards Aunt Kitty before nodding her head and taken a seat near Mean Kitty but not touching the feline. She would wait until her break was over she figured. Her eyes watching Auntie Kitty talking to Alexandrea as she turned towards Mean Kitty, copying the sign language as if the feline before her would know what was being said. She herself knew nothing, at least not at this time. She had no book and she never took any real interest in learning sign language either, short of her thinking it was funny how Auntie Kitty spoke with her hands when she could speak in her head. Though if she actually allowed herself to read a book on it, or perhaps took a class in it, she would of caught on to the words if not so much the actual movement of her hands within no time. Her photographic memory didn't really allow her to forget things, but lucky as she was still a child she was able to ignore most of what was going on around her, even if her mind was picking it all up, storing it into her memory.
Tilting her head as she heard Alexandrea's muttering she smiled, “It's not someone doing it. It's God” alright so it might not had been actually God but to the little girl, things like this were easily explained. It wasn't her Daddy because her Daddy had come here to deal with the matter, that left God. She also knew a bit about Blood Suckers, thanks to Father Alexander and well the others talking about what they knew when she was being babysat. “You can't fight nature, and nature is God and Daddy they created everything... and that means Father Alexander's Blood Suckers, and Faeries like Auntie Kitty”. Her powers hadn't woken thus she had nothing to lose yet.

Re: Blood Moon.... (Open, PM me if you want to be plot)
Between Alex and Snow the notion made perfect sense.
"She's right in a way. Not sure how you lost your powers before, but what's going on now has to be a spell with a purpose. Bet your skin is going back to normal and your natural healing is kicking in now as well. Something very old, very potent and made to shut down the best of us and bring out the worst. Makes us easier targets I would say." She spoke to them both. Every moment the moonlight was blocked she was feeling more like her normal self again. The normal she had come to know since being turned.
"And you are right as well. We need one of these world savers alive so we can ask some questions to fill in a few blanks." The mystic looked down at the street below again. Finding one probably would not be the problem. Getting close enough without being shot or them radioing for backup would be another matter. Absently, she added a few more scoops to the brazier to keep the cloud process going along, then looked at Snow sitting there. A smile began to blossom on her lips as she looked at Alex then back at the girl.
"So, you want to grab one of those clowns?" She asked. "Think those alluring charms of yours is up to the task? I almost forgot I could do this trick." She looked down to the street again at the free for all in progress and reached out with her returned powers when one of them looked up.
"Come to me..." Her thoughts reached deep into the hunter as she focused. The hunter moved away from the rest of their patrol and began to walk into the building.
"Tell Odin to let this one pass," she whispered to Alex as she turned to watch the doors the man was guarding. "Boy or girl I am not sure, but they will come to the spot I am standing in now. So once they here be ready to get their attentions or else we gonna have to tie em' up and make them talk the fun way."

Re: Blood Moon.... (Open, PM me if you want to be plot)
The simple matter of a fact way that the child blamed God startled Alexandrea but when Snow went on to call Zodiac a fairy, Alex just chuckled. She was quiet about it, she didn't want to hurt the little girl's feelings. But mistaking a Vampire for a Fairy amused the blonde for some reason. The Mystic seemed to think there was something to it.
"The way it happened before was another Vampire, Kira. She blocked me from using my powers. I.... didn't handle the loss well." Not that any of that mattered right now. "So whatever power is neutering our abilities, isn't related to where ever the source of our powers lie."
Alexandrea nodded to the Gypsy, and knowing that Snow was safe with Zodiac left their side of the roof to go back to where Odin was still guarding the far side of the building's edge and the stairwell to the rooftop. It wasn't until Alex saw the twisted metal that it occurred to her that the stairs... were gone.
The lure of the Mystic wasn't to be denied however and the Allurist jumped as the THUNK of a grappling hook landed mere inches from where she stood. Quickly, she spoke into Odin's mind to let him know what the plan was. *Don't kill this one. We want to take one alive and get some answers.*
It was hard to see where the Killer was in the darkness but Alexandrea sensed that he was close by and moved forward recklessly as the Hunter pulled himself out of the hole that was once a stairwell and onto the surface of the roof. The Allurist tossed her hair and focused all her charms on pacifying the human male, only to get backhanded across the face. She was startled but unhurt as her head whipped around more from reflex than anything else.
"Well that's no way to say hello to a lady." Alexandrea said with a fake pout and hands on her hips as she swayed closer to her attacker, rather than backing up. The blonde redoubled her efforts and tried again. She could only guess she must have succeed as the man dropped the gun he had just pulled out before he could pull the trigger. Good thing for Alex, as it had been pointed right at her skull.
Although the pacification seemed to be keeping the Hunter from harming Alexandrea, the human was trembling under the strain as he fought against the hold it had over him. Alex quickly ripped up the last of her cloak and hog tied the man. If the clouds passed by again and the blood moon shone back down.. would they all lose their powers again? Probably. And that would free the hunter to attack.
The Allurist sat beside the human and spoke softly to him. Trying to convince him gently that telling Alex what she wanted to know was what he wanted to do. She tried using her powers to read his mind but found herself blocked. "This isn't just a Hunter. He has powers." Alex said out loud to Odin as she sent the same messages to Zodiac. "My simple charms aren't going to cut the mustard. We'll need to get mean."

Re: Blood Moon.... (Open, PM me if you want to be plot)
As his faithful monk and longtime friend Devon made his way to fetch the legendary paladin Ferday, the Archbishop wondered what would become of his friendships and bonds after this. He knew that this same ritual which would steal the powers of the vampires for all time, would concentrate power into a chalice that he would consume, and that he would no longer be human. God had shown him the way to demi-god like power. Entrusting him with the wisdom to do what was necessary to bring this city and the world back to its God fearing roots.
Looking up toward the entrance to the sacrificial chamber the cries of the newly condemned brought a smile to his face. Finally the last 2 vampires necessary for the ritual had arrived. Shackled and strong armed by guards the two unlucky victims helplessly find themselves chained to the walls surrounded by their hapless peers. One by one they were visited by the cruel and sadistic cloaked priest. Each one cut from a different vulnerable location. All of them having their blood drained into stone crevasses moving like little rivers toward a basin in the middle of the room.
Yelling out to the guards now on their way out Archbishop Abernathy with blood lust in his eyes then says, “ Kill all the other vampires, they have no further value. “
