Tick. Tick. Tick. The noise was maddening for Cliff. He hated the sound of the clock, reminding him that time was passing him by, and more importantly Marty hadn't shown up yet. It had grown late into the evening, and the man was due back to report.
Cliff's eyes glanced around the little motel room he was in, then stood up and moved over to the sink to splash some water onto his face, his eyes glancing towards thee mirror for just a moment, then darted to his phone as it lit up, indicating a call was coming through. Moving to the phone, he glanced at the caller ID,, then quickly hit the accept call button, bringing it to his hear. His voice was laced with a razor's edge as he got the first few words out “Where the hell are..” but soon was cut off by an unfamiliar voice. “We have him” said the unknown woman on the other end of the phone, “Turn yourself over, and we'll release him, failure to do so will result in his death.”
A frown appeared on the vampire's face. It took him a second or two to collect his thoughts and respond, “How do I know you haven't butchered him already?” Then winced as he wished he hadn't said that, listening to the man's scream of pain in the background. Grinding his teeth, he placed the phone on speaker and sat it on the table in front of him, fingertips digging into the wood, “What makes you think I would care if he dies or not? He's just a tool” This answer only caused another scream from Marty. He knew they wouldn't kill Marty. He was too valuable, he worked with a vampire for awhile, and even killed one, and if these people could get that information out of him, Cliff might as well pack up and get the hell out of town, or prepare for the fight of his life.
Cliff tapped the message button while still on speaker and moved down the lists of contacts to his wife's number preparing to type out a message as he spoke, “So, How do I find you to turn myself over?” As he spoke those words, he started to type out a message as he waiting on the response “Pru, the paladin's caught Marty and holding him “ he cut the message off there as he heard the answer: “Meet us where we already killed you once, vampire.”
Cliff completely froze in his spot. This was what he was waiting on, he had found them. It took him a few moments to get his brain going again, the call had been ended already, and he quickly finished the message to his wife, adding “It's THEM” to the end of the message before sending it. The phone went straight into his pocket, the gears in his mind already turning, plans forming in his head. Grotesque, violent, murderous plans.

Re: It's Time. (Pru)
"Stop chewing your gum like a cow or I'm going to punch you in your face." The chewing stopped as soon as Pru barked at the woman, the red head pinching the bridge of her nose, like she had a headache. And she did! Sort of. In front of her were half a dozen newspapers with random red circles around locations, accompanied with magazines with more locations and details about the locations, some circled, some that had been circled and crossed out and some with big "NO"'s written all over them.
"I liked that place. That Tower. Looked real fancy." Jane said after she swallowed her gum down, and pulled out the magazine to point out which one she was talking about, as if Pru didn't know already. "That's because your *** ain't paying the ******* rent. Plus, it's too fancy. Not my sort of place. Nice is good. Fancy? Nope. Can't stand stuck up bitches." Prudence pushed the magazine on the ground with a shake of her head and went back to circling more places.
Her phone went off, a familiar tone playing, even if she hadn't heard the tone in a while. A very long while. "Whoops." Prudence knew she forgot to do something, or did she intentionally not call him? It was hard to tell. Sometimes she wanted to call him just to track him down and punch him or kill him, other times she just wanted space from him and their, whatever it was now. She let a minute or two go by, then closed the papers up, folded them nicely and grabbed the phone off the table she was sitting at in the pub.
The red head kicked up her feet as she keyed in her pass code to unlock the phone, then read the message. Paladins had Marty. She wasn't sure she cared. She didn't even care about her own stupid pet human, and Marty and her had gone a few rounds back in the day, so Prudence wasn't sure how she felt about Marty. Or the possibility of him dying.
"Jane. Go make yourself useful and go get my gun. The big one. Scarlett." She wasn't sure if she was going to go running to Cliff's aid at the second, so she waited until Jane wandered off to go do what Pru told her to do before she replied. He's just a stupid thrall, Cliff. A meat shield at best. She hit send, still thinking over her options. Ignore Cliff because she couldn't believe in how long that he was contacting her about some blood bag that got on her nerves one time too many, or if she should go and dispatch of the possible threat that Cliff couldn't do himself.

Re: It's Time. (Pru)
Cliff felt the phone go off in his pocket as he swerved through the traffic on the motorcycle. It didn't take him long to vacate the motel room after the text was sent. His destination was the cabin, knowing it was the closest place to where he had died.
Upon reaching the cabin, he stopped the motorcycle and pulled it behind the cabin, typing out a message to his wife: “Meat shield or not, he has a lot of intel on us. If they an get it out of him..” he cut the message off and started looking around, holding perfectly still, then quickly added to the message: “I'm at the cabin, fixing to stock up on gear. It's the bastards who killed me” He pushed the send button, then froze again, his eyes darting around. This was the second time he thought he heard a noise, but still his eyes didn't detect anything.
Cliff stuffed the phone into his pocket as he entered the cabin and quickly to the bed, pulling out a few ammo boxes, removing some clips for his guns. He wasn't going to turn himself over. This time he was going in guns blazing. He had worked on his skills with firearms since the last time, and he was going to take some of them out.
Next Cliff went to the dresser and pulled it out away from the wall and knelt down and slid a hidden panel to the side, pulling out a black trash bag and begun to pull out some home made explosives, placing them beside the clips of ammo. Then froze once more, looking up towards a window, but didn't see anything. Shaking his head he collected the gear and moved the dresser back in place, waiting on a reply from his wife to see if she was joining or not.

Re: It's Time. (Pru)
Prudence looked over those words a couple of times, then sighed. What the **** did they want after all this time and how did Cliff know it was them? Or was it just the same group? People who went up against vampires usually ended up hurt really bad, or ended up really dead. So Prudence had thought that after all this time, they had to have pissed off the wrong vampire and had gotten themselves in a situation that they couldn't get out of.PsychoCliff wrote: It's the bastards who killed me."
She didn't reply to him, instead she put the phone in her coat pocket with a heavy sigh, then grumbled about meat shields that knew too damn much for their own good. As much as Jane was annoying, she was stupidier than stupid, a side affect from when Prudence sort of gave her a concussion during the bar fight Jane started with some other chick in her bar.
"Gotta go Jane. Got to check out some **** and do the usual." Prudence sighed as she stood up, and headed to the door. "Go find some other places. Not that tower place either. Lemme know what ya find." Prudence stomped out of the pub, and headed to the nearest train station. After buying her ticket, she headed to the other side of town, where their cabin was. The uninhabited side.
When Prudence got to the area where woods became prominent, she yanked her tank top off, then kicked off her boots as she kept walking, followed by discarding her pants, bra and underwear. Slowly, her bones shifted, cracked and popped, followed by the peeling of her skin, before the tall redhead disappeared, and in her place, a rattlesnake.
The snake slithered through the thick of the woods, to the clearing of cabins and finally, to the front door of the cabin. She waited a few minutes, in case someone saw the snake and wanted to do something about it, before Pru focused on her image; height, weight, the fire color of her hair, and the way she walked. The transformation from snake to human took longer than from human to snake, but when the transformation was complete, there was a stark naked Prudence on the doorstep of the cabin. She pushed the door open, and spoke. "Tell me what ya know as I get some clothes."
