--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Shan: Shan stopped with her phone in one hand, her tome in the other, staring over the wilderness as the sun settled down past the treeline for the night. She drew in a deep breath, the welcoming Canadian air filling the lungs that didnt need it, though she still did it just to taste it. There were times she swore she could taste the emotions swirling around her, the way people felt about her being near them, repulsed and as if they just knew that she was what she was and so much more. If she could see her aura she was sure it would be black, blacker than the blackest parts of the Shadow Realm, blacker than the deepest, darkest, most secluded place on earth.
Sure, she had tried to change that recently, but really all she got out of her efforts was a swirling pool of emotions under her skin and a couple good nights with Nishaa's childer, Abbadon. She pursed her lips to the side, gancing at her phone as she used the pad of her thumb to slide up the contacts and find the one she was looking for. She wanted to hunt, to kill, to maime, tonight. But she had just under a week until everything was set on the right time schedule for her monthly serialistic kill, and she didnt want to screw that up. Maybe Helena was up, maybe she could help the violence lusting daywalker find some real enemies to slaughter and expend her energy on. "Hey, Can you meet me at the Cimm? Got somethin' to ask ya." She typed it in easily with the one hand, then spoke the words from her tome that teleported her to Ny's trailer.
Helena Andras: Helena sat cross-legged in her apartment, wearing a departure from her normal style clothes. Where heels usually were placed on her feet? Boots meant to go mucking around in the woods; still fashionable ones though. In place of a high brand dress? Still a dress, but it had no brand name on it's tag. No, Eevee was working her through her almost compulsive need of having only brand name clothes. The woman was still a habitual shopper, but she didn't shun non-brand clothes anymore.
She had been out, taking Skoll on his walk through the hunting grounds. He had grown simply too big for her to afford the meat from the butcher. And dog food simply wasn't healthy or filling enough for the large wolf. So she had taken to taking the large canine on walks daily. To help him burn energy, and to help him hunt. The spoiled wolf still needed his mommy's help in taking down the animals that he would eat -she even had to skin the animals and hand feed him the right parts of meat.
Though, the 'right parts' was mostly her own spoiling of him. She was quite anal about what went in or on her beloved baby. He was more like a pampered lap dog than a full grown wolf. But it was obvious as day, with the large canine sprawled out next to her, he was too big to be an ordinary dog. She scratched behind his ear as she went through her lockboxes, trying to catalogue ingrediants she needed to obtain more of when her cell phone went off.
The woman pulled the phone from off the floor beside her to read the message before responding, "I'll meet you there in two shakes of Skoll's tail." That was to say, no sooner than she had finished pressing send, she had teleported to the Cimmerian, finding a place to sit and wait for the woman.
Shan: She made it to the trailer, tucking the tome into her pocket and heading to the sparring room after picking up a bag and slinging it over her shoulder. She remembered the first time she had sparred with Ny, the way it had ended up in a tie sort of, the fact that Shan had barely been able to keep up with the woman being the most memorable part of the event to Shan. She pursed her lips to the side as she slipped into the gymnastic-type matted room, glancing around at all the weapons she had tacked up onto the walls. Swords, blades, knives, spears... guns, of all shapes and sized, and even a blunt mace here and there.
No shields were on the walls anywhere, they were vampires, they could heal, why would they need shields? She smirked then, her eyes settling on the gun of choice as she made her way over to the enhanced assault rifle to pluck it from its perch on the wall and slide the peg to clear the barrel. Cha-chink, click-click. That squared away, she slung the strap attached over her shoulder and made her way over to the wall just as her phone vibrated. Probably Helena in response, she noted, pulling the vibrating device from her pocket and sliding her thumb over the screen to give an unseen nod in approval.
She herself would be there shortly so she didnt see the sense in sending a reply as she reached the far wall and played a quick game of eenie-meenie-miney-moe between a Great Oak Longsword and a Schmitar of Anguish - both formiddable weapons in her eyes that she had forged not too long ago. She had kept those ones for herself instead of offering them at the Andras weapon event she had held. Picking the Schmitar and smirking at it, she didnt heitate to activate her celerity to get to the destination she had in mind.
The Cimmerian was a large ship docked at the coastside of the river, and Shan had been there a couple of times, namely for the Abelle and Chaindog wedding as well as the Masquerade event Bunny had hosted for Ty and Andras. Skidding to a halt in her lightning fast run, she stopped just shy of Helena who had taken a seat just on the outside of the boat, Shan's shoes planting as she finally came to a stop and stood, pushing the Schmitar into its sheath and fastening it to her belt. "Helena." She said with a smile and a nod.
Helena Andras: Helena didn't have to wait long, just as she had used a gift given from her vampiric being, the other woman had as well. So the woman had shown up fairly quickly after her. She looked the woman over with silent approval at the efficiency of their meet up and finally gave a smile as the woman spoke her name in greeting. Helena in return gave a nod, "Hej, Shan. It is good to see you are well."
"You had something to ask me, " Helena inquired. She wasn't trying to be rude or curt, but the woman had texted her saying she had something to ask. It could be something important, or it could be something of non-urgency, but the point was to get the question answered. She'd dispense the formalities. Or rather, Helena tended to forget formalities were important in the North American Cultures.
Shan didn't appear to be horrendously on the verge of death, she didn't have a worried look on her face, there were no signs of anything urgently unsavory having happened. So Helena could assume that the other was well and dispose of the 'how are you'. Besides, if the woman were in any kind of difficulty, Helena hoped it would be obvious by now that she would rather people just speak honestly with her instead of beating around the bushes; it was more trouble to Helena to have people be wary of coming to her than having to 'deal with their problems'.
Shan: She nodded, pulling the small back-pack like bag off her shouder and handing it out to Helena. "Some charms, and ears in there, as well as some cash for the amount of locating you've been doing for me lately. I was wondering if you have time to do it more often, actually. Like, I could employ you for it, or something." She crossed her arms over her chest then after Helena took the bag from her. She rather liked that Helena got to the point, and didnt muck up her time with hugs and irrelevant questions about her mood. How she felt had no bearing on Helena right now, so it made complete sense to Shan that the woman not ask her about it. Besides, in all, Shan wasnt even sure she knew how to answer that question anyways.
"My thrall can do the ritual, but she is horrible at it, really, and it takes her too long. You're much better at it than she is, and you dont get hurt by the fae if they escape, do you?" Her question was relevant, and she peered over at Helena as she looked the woman quickly up and down to discern that she wasnt currently wounded. At least, as far as she could tell. She shrugged her shoulders in a tight roll, tipping her head to the side to hear her neck give a soft pop. When using the power of Celerity, she had come to find that if she didnt stiffen her neck, she got whiplash easily. As much as she liked pain, she didnt like it on herself.
Helena Andras: The woman took the bag and quirked a 'brow, about to pipe up that Shan didn't need to pay her anything for it, but the woman continued her words. Hel shook her head, "Yes, that would be fine. I don't mind one bit doing rituals -but you should know, I am on call at any time for Ty, so I may not always be able to come at your beck. If that's alright with you, then ja, I don't mind at all."
The woman chuckled at the other's small way of showing concern for the damage the DemiFae may cause, "You're right, I get rid of them before they can do me any harm. However, you realize you don't have to pay me for this, right? Help collecting the ingrediants is certainly welcome, but it's not something that warrants you spending your money."
Helena watched, silently as the woman cracked out her joints, she wasn't surprised. The times Jax had snagged her up and used his Celerity were rather shocking to her. She couldn't see how anyone could stand to move like that, then again, Jax also seemed to be at odds with how she could stand to teleport them. Perhaps it was just because teleporting was so much closer to her nature as a Mystic.
Shan: Chuckled then, mirroring the shake of her head to that of Helena's. She wasnt asking if she could pay her. She would pay her, whether the woman wanted it or not. She'd have Seraphine transfer funds later if Helena tried to give the cash back. Either way she'd get reimbursed for her time spent sitting at an alter while Shan had all the fun in her actual hunts. "Im insisting you keep the cash. Dont you have a relic you want to buy in the shops? One that helps?" She shrugged then, one foot sliding to widener her stance a bit as she set her weight on one foot. She reached a hand to slick it over top of her pulled back black hair, settling it back into place wrapped up with her other one over her chest.

Re: Killing Babies [Helena]
--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Helena Andras: Chuckled at the woman's attempt at getting Hel to see the insistence of her taking the money, "Bamse gave me the Spagyrist bracelet as a gift for our one year as sire and childe -much to my chagrin. I told him it was my job to spoil him that day, not the other way around but the bullheaded man wouldn't listen. Still, I'm grateful. As for the Faeish Whisper Hood, I've managed to get my hands on it and still have a few thousand left in the bank, but I suppose I could always save up to get a nice little planter and the lovely little relic to help grow ingrediants."
Hel was rather odd in the fact that she always thought a few steps ahead of where she was. She found having goals and priorities helped her keep a sort of organizing quality about in her life. While did not need everything to be orderly, it certainly helped. So the woman always kept the future in mind to coordinate her endeavors.
Helena smiled, a little smile, but an approving smile. It was very subtle, but Shan seemed slightly more extroverted than before. Not so much in the way of socializing, but in the way she presented herself. Still, she said nothing. For whatever reason the woman changed, it should be for her own sake and not for others, so Hel kept her approval comment at bay, settling for the little smile, "If you insist, then I must at least plead that you do not overpay, it really is no trouble."
Shan: She nodded then, clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth as she did. "Good, good." She smirked, "Yeah, Micah's stubborn but its one of his best qualities." She drummed her fingers along her biceps, the semi-long french manicured nails showing that Shan had a bit of a feminine side, even if she wouldnt her self ever admit it. She shrugged, her nod still there but slowing as she smirked wider. "Exactly, so we'll get you saved up for those, then." She didnt mind giving the woman money for her services rendered.
She truly did appreciate the woman finding the beasts for her all the time so it was really a penny in the drop of the fountain for Shan; getting something out of it everytime had Shan feeling like she was the lucky one. It was a way to get Shan out of the trailer, and into the city, to allow her to hunt without there being a body left for evidence lockers in Harper Rocks police station. But most importantly, it allowed Shan the ability to help reduce the alert in the city from these horrible fade like creatures running around exposing themselves to humans and the like.
She put a hand up, giving it a wave. "You'll take what I deem as not overpaying, then. No complaints." She grinned then, showing her fangs that dug into her bottom lip in the action. It was indeed rare to see Shan smile, especially something so genuine, since her return from the Shadow Realm. But Shan lately hadnt been plagued by things like a horrible sire/childe relationship, or the needing to find a home. She had taken care of those things recently, and in all, she felt it helped with her overall demeanor. She no longer found herself cursing the world and wanting to drink everything dry in sight. Who knew progress could be positive?
Helena Andras: Hel's lips twitched into a smirk at the woman's words of agreement and praise toward Micah. She nodded her head in her own agreement. His stubborn, truthful personality was what endeared her sire to her. She honestly didn't see why people thought he was such a hardass. He had a temper on him, but all in all he was quite the softy that she had seen. Protective and kind, immature at times and loyal, he didn't conform to be what other's wanted him to be. So while she may not always agree with him, she can always respect his tenacity at being who he is.
Hel chuckled at the woman's words about getting her saved up for them. In all honesty, Hel didn't think it was anything that required compensation. She liked Rituals and had a rather personal opinion on fadebeasts. She had never had children, herself, nor had she ever birthed a fadebeast, but she had a rather decided opinion on them. She thought they were pitiable, they almost made her want to cry. They were just babies in her eyes. For that very reason, she thought they should be dealt with.
How could anyone think it's okay to force these kinds of beings into life? They were just babies, and they had been given a horrid lot in life, incapable of growing as a child should, of getting the chance to be raised by a mother's loving arms. In some ways, Hel almost felt... companionship with them in that way. She had to raise herself with the way her parents were. A part of her probably wished she could hold them tight and end the misery of such a decrepit life.
That was why she thought they should be killed, the kind of life they are plunged into is no life at all. That is why she is more than willing to help Shan. It was almost funny how... motherly Hel's feelings could be, when she herself thought she would be inadequate as a mother. Though, feelings of inadequacy weren't the only reason Hel had never become a mother while alive.
Shan: Hel hadnt said anything, so Shan took that as a sign of defeat from the woman and gave a sturdy nod. Good. She'd insist all night if she had to, when it came to this. She was turning over a new leaf, trying to be a better person to the people who considered her family. Nyla had clearly gotten to Shan, opening up her house to the woman who had no where else to go just because she was Vel's childe - and helping Shan to believing again in family. It was more than Shan could have ever done by herself, so in truth she owed the woman so much more than she could ever give her.
So Shan figured she would get stronger, that way if the woman ever needed protection she wouldnt need to look anywhere else but right there in her own trailer. And looking over at Hel, Shan thought the same thing. The woman clearly had her number, and at the simplest texts she could get ahold of her and meet her within minutes - probably sooner had Shan sent it while standing at the Cimm. She let her smile fall into a one sided smirk, unique crimson hues dashed over the womans face. "You up for finding some beasts right now?"
Helena Andras: Hel watched the expressions that subtly slid across the other woman's face with quiet observance. She had always been astute but it had become that much more meaningful since coming to Harper Rock. Sure, she had to be astute in many of her jobs, but she had never had a reason to be particularly observant with her family. It was easy to see why if you knew her family.
Unlike most Nords, Hel didn't grow up with that sense of Kinship. Her mother was too busy with her men, her father was too busy with his booze. So learning the desire to take care of others and to throw away that sheild she had held for so long had been a tumultous experience in her emotional growth, despite how calm she always seemed to appear.
But she didn't regret a bit of it. She had learned a lot in less than two years that she should have learnt long before. And she didn't hate it, the feeling of caring for others and being cared for. And something told her Shan was quite the same as her in that regard -learning kinship. The woman's lips quirked into a smirk, "If you're up for sending the babies to the next world, then I'm up for locating them for you."
Shan: She pulled her gun from her shoulder, showing it to Helena, pointing to a couple of the modifications she herself had done to it. It was a well built, sturdy gun. "I brought the weapons for it." She shrugged then, looking over to the side then back, "Not that Im ever without them. Been attacked a couple times now while sleeping or resting. Got killed once, even." If one looked close enough they could have seen the muscles on her jaw flex as she was clearly still perturbed by that event happening, "But thats in the past." She muttered, trying to relax. Trying to let it go. And failing miserably; but she was trying.
She chuckled then and rolled her eyes a bit. Not a lot, just a bit. Babies. Yeah, okay. Those babies were vicious, inhuman bits of fade that attacked Shan and sometimes she lost to them, what with how strong they were. She couldnt imagine having one inside of her, or imagine giving birth to one, let alone what the hell to do with it other than to kill the vicious little beast afterwards. She wouldnt ever be in that situation, though, thankfully due to her sexual preference of women. Thank god.
Or maybe not. Shan still wasnt sure about the whole religion thing. She returned her attention to Helena, giving a nod. "Right. You wanna head to an altar and get started? I'll camp at the station and wait for your text." She chewed on the inside of her cheek in thought, wondering if that plan would work for Helena as well as it would work for her. Shan knew that even at full energy she would be exhausted before Helena was, but she also didnt want to inconvenience the woman in the slightest. "Sound good?"
Helena Andras: Helena inspected the gun, closely, with a smile. It was well modified. She gave a nod to the woman's words, hefting up a large duffle bag that contained her tomes, her weapons, and anything else that wasn't in her large purse. Hel tended to not go anywhere without the things she thought she would need. Including a change of clothes, her make up kit -though she never wore much make up, her ammo for her gun, and so many other things.
Helena's smile brightened into a playful grin as she winked at the woman. She wasn't at all put out. She had devised a rather efficient way of Ritualism -as odd as it sounded to mix rituals and efficiency. So she leaned in to plant a kiss to the girl's cheek affectionately and whispered, "You'll recieve a text asap after each ritual, so be prepared!"
She disappeared no sooner than the last word left her lips. She knew the woman would. Shan had proven to be very prompt about getting to where Hel led her and taking the target out. They worked nicely together, thanks to Shan's efficiency in killing, and hopefully Hel's ritualistic abilities were efficient enough to be helpful to the other woman as well.
Shan: She chuckled when the woman planted a kiss to her cheek. It was a kind gesture, not the kind that Shan was used to in the least, so if she were able to blush she probably would have - which would have been a first for Shan in a very long, long time. She rolled her eyes lightly and shook her head left then right, though the woman was gone in the blink of an eye in front of her before she could respond. "Slick." She muttered, "I could use that power." Her gun was slung back over her shoulder as she headed south then west, making her way to the station as she pulled her phone out of her pocket again. This friendship would work nicely, she knew it.
Helena Andras: Chuckled at the woman's attempt at getting Hel to see the insistence of her taking the money, "Bamse gave me the Spagyrist bracelet as a gift for our one year as sire and childe -much to my chagrin.
