Pacification
Please note: this power does NOT give you full and total control of a character's libido. The target will not fall immediately in love with your character, and neither will they automatically jump into your character's bed (unless the writer of the target character wishes it). Roleplay-wise it simply acts as an almost-irresistible attraction spell (which can fail), causing the target to develop an infatuation or sexual desire for the allurist. If the character in question in chaste or particularly stubborn and cold, they might not be as bewitched by your character's power, but will usually still stop attacking you, and instead seek to end a conflict or please your character. Even if this power does succeed, though, and your character is weak willed, highly emotional, and sexually driven, you as the writer of your character can still refuse to enter into a roleplay of a sexual nature with the character, if you wish.

The woman moved slow, callous like around them. The twins, reunion on this eve in her establishment, which she called a sign in her own mind, the twins who would be soon her twins. She opened her mind, calling on the gifts given to her by her turning. She enchanted them, pacified them. Her gift of this power reached out to them, “But I can help you. I can help make you be better, stronger, and smarter. I can help you grow and learn but most of all I can help you financially. I am a woman of decent means. I can help you two reconnect after you two were taken from each other, make it so neither of you will be separated again. By blood, you two will always be together.” She said calmly, after all she didn’t take being dismissed so easily very well.

“I am offering you everything you want. Even a place to live while you reconnect to who you are as individuals and together as twins.” Her voice remained soothing and calm. “All you need do is say the word, I will bring you into my world.” The way she phrased that might give away what she was but at this point, she wasn’t going to care. The power flowed in the air surrounding them, engulfing them. She knew once the power took its full effect anything she said was going to be golden, the best idea they have had. It was strange; normally she turned people in a rage. There was no sweetness about her turnings. Her own husband she turned while he was on the brink of death after getting a beating from some men in an alleyway. Another she turned on a bridge, threw him over the edge to see if he would finish turning or drown before the turning was complete. He turned and found her, but like most else in this city the darkness took him. Now she had her eyes on these twins. Twins, two for the price of one! The urges had to be sated after them, at least for a little while. These two would be hers; she had already set her sights on them. “Not in the city, above or below, is as it seems and I can help you.” She goaded them into a natural conclusion to an unasked question.

She wasn’t even entirely sure why she wanted to turn them; they had to have some gift within them, buried deep inside. There had to be something in their subconscious that she picked up on. It was always that way. Her husband with a violin was majestic. Her son Simon could sing like the angels. Anne-ly was a spitfire but she was a rare talent. There was always something to discover with her childer, especially musical, or art. It was a rare talent she had for finding them. These two were thrown on her doorstep and she wasn’t one to walk away from that. Never look a gift horse in the mouth.

Cristiana could offer them the world, but she didn't give false promises. "Anything you need, merely ask and what is in my power to aid you I will gladly give if you give me one thing in return. I want to bring you into the folds of my world." She said running a tongue over the fanged teeth she'd hidden up until this point. She let the two see what they would become, what they could be. "I am not like the others, there are so many different kinds of us out there. You will see." She offered her hand to the male first. Namely because she knew if she got one, the other would follow in their footsteps. "Become what you were always meant to be, for your own survival." She said locking her eyes into his. "Become strong enough to fight off any foe, any past ghost that will haunt or hunt you."

This woman...Nadia, was very set on the idea that the two of them were indeed twins. Born together, raised together, but separated some time ago. Chameleon could not easily dismiss such conviction like this. If she were so set on her words to the point that she would collapse in to tears...then he would do his best to believe her. It'd be hard for him to come to terms with such stories. Having no recollection to anything she had spoken...but there were those dreams. What were they from? Perhaps they were the remaining memories of a childhood Chameleon had lost when he was taken away...but at the same time, all he knew was darkness...pain...and anger.

When Nadia leaned in to him, he hesitated greatly. Feeling a very powerful urge to shove her off, but something on the inside pleaded otherwise. With shaky arms long enough to wrap completely around her, he pulled her close in what would be a rather awkward hug due to his towering height over Nadia. His expression remained blank, but there was something in his eyes that spoke of a different light that he had never felt inside. For years, I have known nothing but dark caves. Kept alive against my own will...So much has been forgotten, but perhaps not all. I have had these dreams... The thought trailed off as something seemed to overcome his very being. Attention completely taken from Nadia. His arms dropped back to his side. This feeling...

Emerald eyes gazed toward the other woman that seemed to be dancing around the two of them. Moving so gracefully yet her motions were not at all fluid in the sense of a dance. Blinking twice, Chameleon stared in awe at this woman. *There is something wrong here...this has happened before....* Inner thoughts began screaming at Chameleon as he watched the woman, never letting her out of his sight. The awe in his expression died away as his thoughts began pouring over what was going on. *A trance...why can't I... He spun about to keep Cristiana in his view. Completely absorbed in everything she was saying. All the promises of a better life. Promising the two strength, a life together...in her world. *HER WORLD?!?*

The thought struck him hard. Shaking his head slowly, Chameleon tried to resist whatever persuasion this woman was trying to pull, but to no avail. His thoughts may have been free, but his will...wasn't completely. Just give you the word... The woman offered a hand to him. Weakly, he reached for it. His hand immediately dropped when Chameleon saw her tongue slide over a fang. His eyes widened, pupils dialated and nostrils flared. *SHE'S ONE OF THEM!!! KILL HER!!! NNNNOOOOWWWW!!!!!* No matter how much he tried to resist and fight back. No matter how filled with rage he had become...his hand took the woman's. Yes...d...do it... Words spoken through gritted teeth. His eyes held a fury that only the greatest of berserkers could hold...but his actions were forcing him to succumb to this woman. Slowly, he turned back to face Nadia...his sister. He wanted to scream run. Wanted to tell her that this woman might be one of those that kept him locked away for all those years, but all that came out...Nadia...together... Words spoken with such a harsh tone. This met with a shaky hand extended outward toward his sister...what has he done...

When he spoke of dreams Nadia felt a small smile come to her face. When she slept, which was rarely because of nightmares, sometimes she would have these dreams of her childhood and Niklas would be there. He was happy and laughing like nothing was ever wrong. Nadia would cling to those dreams when she woke with tears on her face and chest tight with grief because when she woke she was half a person again. "Dreams are your subconscious's way of making sure you never forget hope."

The feeling of peace moved over her, drying her tears and making her body relax. A life with Niklas... together and safe, that's all she wanted all she ever wanted but this woman was promising this to her. Nadia's thoughts moved slowly through her mind like a lazy stroll through a park, stopping for a moment to look at this one or at that one. A flash of fangs made her jump, but her mind glassed over it as a minor distraction before pulling her eyes to Niklas and seeing the child he once was and the scarred man in front of her. Her heart broke when she saw his change and when he reached out to this woman, her first instinct was to pull him away and protect him. He told her to do it, but a lance of fear stabbed in her chest. "Please promise to me that we won't be separated." Her voice was frantic, some unknown fear that griped her heart until breathing was so painful tears came to her eyes. Her hand touched his arm lightly, not putting any more pressure then she had to, "Promise that nothing will happen to him and I will do as you ask, but take me first please so I can protect him."

The raven haired woman between them, much short and yet more powerful in many ways than both, carefully looked back and forth from one to the other. The man wanted Nadia to go first, to see if her life would be spared, but she intended to spare the two, turn them into her spawn of the night, her childer. The woman wanted the promise, the words to hear that they’d never be broken apart again.

Cristiana turned to the woman, knowing the spell on the two would last a full night until day break before they regained their wits about them. If they had been anywhere else but the club, she would have just taken them by force or worse. Since they were in her place of business, they had the luxury few of her childer seemed to gain, a peaceful turning. Her sights set in on the woman, her words a silhouette of her voice, a whisper, as she made those promises, “You will be safe and protected from the demons of your past. If they ever resurface, if they dare to, I will always stand by and never let them harm either of you again. You will not be separated,” Now that she had meant, no false promises were given. Once her childer were turned, for the most part she fought tooth and nail for those spawn of hers. Even the wayward one, Simon, never knew the struggles behind the scenes, she’d endured. Even though she had told him majority so he wouldn’t forget how much of a headache he’d been while he found his way in his undead life, but there was still much she never spoke up about.

Her grasp, taking the woman against her was gentle but strong and firm. She didn’t wait for the invitation further; brushing the hair aside she exposed the woman’s neck. Her teeth sunk into the tender part on the woman’s neck where the heart beat was the strongest. Even her jaw was tender enough not to make her cry out in pain but firm enough to show the woman she was in full control. As the heart beat steadied to a slow pace, right before the brink of death she pulled back looking at Nadia, the split second last choice of taking both, neither or one, she bit down into her wrist and fed Nadia, holding her tight enough not to let her limp body fall to the ground. It wouldn’t take long before the woman was renewed, stronger and a bit wiser of what she had truly walked into that evening. The type of establishment was never in question as it was always neutral ground, vampire and humans alike shared the place, but the owner (at least one of them) was in fact a living undead. The last beat of the woman’s heart settled, the woman no longer needed a breath or food to sustain her physical form but the blood of a human being. It wouldn’t take much of the blood if they kept themselves nourished nightly. These were the things she whispered into the woman’s ear while the turning was in progress. She also warned her of the other vampires in the city, other family lines, the different types of vampires but also of humans and what could be done if they ever found out if she didn’t hide in plain sight, all of which was whispered to lowly for the male to hear, his ears were still human after all. But the promise was still true, they would be together to make up the time spent missing after all these years.

Since her turning had happened when she was unconscious, it was always a treat for her to see how it affected them. Unlike the whole mythos behind Anne Rice’s versions of turning, their hair did not change, their nails didn’t change and nor did they become more beautiful in the instant of turning. From what she had seen going pale was a natural reaction to the loss of blood but for the first few weeks they retained their almost human like pinkened skin tone until the lack of sunlight drew it from them. The power was almost instant from gain of heightened senses though. All turnings however were very different. Because she was an allurist, it never guaranteed they would become one but she hoped to be able to pass her gifts onto at least one, to have them join the Society of Allurist with her and to show them what the night life is about from that prospective.

Instead of waiting another moment, even with his back to her, she felt the tension building from him as he waited to see his sister’s outcome, her safety. His sister was set into a nearby chair, sitting up right to get her surroundings and wits about her but Cristiana’s arms were free. It came without warning that she turned on him, bit down into his neck without the subtle brush of hair that his sister had gotten. His wasn’t as sweet but that was because she didn’t want him to go without the understanding that his sister was fine. She was probably healthier then she’d ever been in her entire life. Cristiana needed him to understand that. There was something odd about the male, his blood was sweeter, thicker then the woman’s. She’d almost taken too much but had enough will to stop just short of his death. Licking her lips, she bit into her wrist feeding him again. The look in her eye was curious as to what he was, unlike his sister there was something strange about his blood. She fed him the life nourishing blood from her own veins, but her voice, instead of whispering what she had to Nadia had one question burning from her red lips, “What are you?” Even as she held him letting the change transpire it was the question she needed to ask but knew the chances where likely she’d never be given an answer. While he died, his human life traded away for his new undead life, she held onto him in the same manner she had his sister, finally whispering the same things of how the night was, to feed daily to gain their powers and to beware of the other opposing families in the city. When she thought him stable enough, she sat him into the chair beside his sister letting them both come back into their minds, regain the society and take a look around with their undead eyes.

Hearing the promise from her lips and knowing that she wouldn't be lying by some feeling in her gut. This woman would move heaven and earth to destroy anyone who would hurt them, Nadia knew this but she didn't know why. She would get to keep her brother close to her and the feeling told her that soon she would have the strength to defend him and protect him, lastly making sure that for no reason she would be alone ever again. "Everything will be okay Niklas I promise, everything will be okay..." Nadia kept repeating that everything would be okay in a soothing voice trying not to show her fear, not showing how much this was making her heart race.

Nadia gasped softly as she was grabbed by the woman, her hands tight on the woman's arm from shock. She felt the gentleness of the embrace, knew that she was trying to make this as easy on her as possible for her sake and for her brother's sake. As the blood drained from her body the sound of her heartbeat in her ears began to slow and she listened to her voice, clung to the sound as if it would keep her heart beating and keep her in this world. Nothing would stop her from keeping Niklas with her anymore and death wasn't going to stop her either. As she fed from the blood that was given to her, clinging to the hand that nourished her until it was taken away the blood sliding down her throat. Nadia thought that she should be disgusted by the blood but her mind glossed it over and simply accepted it as life. Nadia kept her eyes closed as she was placed in a chair, relaxing into the seat but keeping her breath sliding in and out so Niklas would keep his calm. Her mind was soley focused on the movements in the room though her eyes were closed, trying to keep her mind on her body changing academically noting how everything was starting to feel different and how easily she could hear her brother breathing and hearing his heartbeat loudly in his chest. "I'm okay Niklas... it doesn't hurt..." Her voice was breathy but there was no pain, there was nothing that would alarm him.

Everything that transpired that night seemed like a never ending dream. An escape that would have been nothing more than a fantasy for the large male...yet here he was. Outside of that cave...free from that horrid woman's grasp and reunited with his sister...A sister that he was told had died. That all his family had died and there was nobody looking for him. That he should just give up hope on ever seeing the light of day. Yet here he was...with no memory of a family at this point. Perhaps whatever it was that his captors injected him with removed all memory of ever having a family. This woman, Nadia, claiming to be his sister. She looks so familiar, much like himself...yet all he has to go on are dreams. Dreams that he cannot be sure are implanted or if they are his own fleeting memories of a life once had. Now...things seemed to have taken such a turn in a direction he never saw coming...

Chameleon's head was still very cloudy, yet comforted and at peace. He had never felt this at ease in all his years. So what was it now that made him feel as though nothing could ever go wrong? His sister had taken to his side. Asking to be the first. First to what? It didn't matter. Nothing mattered. Chameleon was at peace. He could die here and feel content with where it had all ended. Not like anything would matter to him at this point...but there was something that was edging its way to the front of his mind. Something about this situation that seemed all too familiar...and dangerous. These thoughts were far too late and even if he wanted to do something, his mind wasn't acting on its own. That frustrating sensation was yet another familiar ordeal that further edged the darker thoughts forward. *No...this isn't right...We must leave...Nadia...?*

There it was...a small gasp of pain. Perhaps it was just the faintest of cries from shock of what had just happened. Chameleon's back was to his sister and the other woman at this point. Gazing off at the wall with not a care in the world. Yet his breathing began to grow heavier and faster with every second that ticked by. It felt like an eternity before Chameleon managed to turn about to see what had taken place just behind him. All he saw was his sister's limp body being laid upon the couch. Blood upon her lips. Chameleon's eyes immediately dilated as the burning rage he felt toward the woman that took him away began to rise within him. It was all in vain, however, for there was nothing he could do. He was spellbound and there was no way his mortal mind could break free. *NNNNOOOO!!! SHE CANNOT BE DEAD!!! NOT NOW! NOT HERE...* Inner thoughts raged with no voice to which they could be cast to the wind. There was nothing he could do...Nadia...

It wasn't too long after that he heard the faintest of voices calling his name. Emerald eyes, burning with a fire so raging, it would compare to an animal ready for the kill, slowly made their way from the woman to Naida laying upon the couch. Didn't hurt? She's ok? This did nothing to sway his anger burning inside. Not that it mattered anyway. Seconds after hearing her voice, he felt that woman upon him. Her fangs puncturing the flesh of his neck. His hands came forward as though to grab the woman and pull her off, but his life force...his blood was draining quick and he could feel his life slowly drain away. N...N-noooo.... Chameleon's voice faded off with the loss of his blood. The last thing he managed to choke out before his consciousness began to slip was something along the lines of "don't take it all."

Everything was threatening to go black as he slipped in and out of consciousness. He felt the small woman actually lift his massive figure and settle him on the couch. His head immediately found the back of the couch, his fading vision focusing on one of the light fixtures above him. Hopes that it would someone keep him awake enough to keep from dying. So much of his blood was taken...and all that woman had to ask was what was he? Dead...that's what he was now...or so he thought. The woman offered her wrist to him. Blood trickling down the back of his throat seemed to revitalize him. At least it kept him conscious enough to feel like he wouldn't die this night. The cloudiness of his mind seemed to slowly clear...but the fog was still too thick for him to think clearly.

Chameleon lay still, lost in thought. Going back to when he was in that cage for all those years. Only ever moving twice or three times to a new location in what he assumed another part of the world. Every day, someone would come to him and jab him with a long needle. Inject something in to him...then with another long syringe, take some of his blood. He had no idea what it was for. It was best he didn't ask questions. This being said by the one who had taken him away...he obeyed. He didn't really want to know anyway. It wasn't really until now that he wanted to know what was being done to him. Would it really matter? He was here now...what was done to him now was more of a concern. His eyes drifted closed. Not out of blood loss, not out of thought...he was exhausted. Sleep had never sounded so good to him than it did now.

What is to happen to us now? His voice still growled with what remainder of his rage he had left, but still sounded oddly soothing. You have taken and given blood...I know what this means...you promise safety... His head lifted slowly, his long black hair still managing to cover most of his face in its mangled state. Promise we'll never be separate...but what is to happen to us? Brilliant green eyes narrowed on the woman, not wanting to lose her in his sights. Not now...even with his mind still fogged over...the uneasiness she has settled within him will not leave his mind. This night seemed to be much more of a dream than any other he's had previous. He was still waiting to wake up...in that cage...waiting his next meal.
