The first big step

Post by Lorelai »

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
This RP takes place on Sunday 25th May 2014.
Lorelai: There was the faint fluttering of wings in her stomach as she packed up her belongings in the hotel; not that she had a great deal to pack. She was collecting up the last of her toiletries while she waited for CC to arrive and humming softly to herself. She’d never lived with anyone before and so she was both excited and nervous for what the future held. A future which included a child no less, something else she hadn’t planned on dealing with so soon, if ever. Lorelai stopped to fix her hair in the mirror, pulling back a couple of strands by her temples and pulling them back to secure them together so as to keep her hair from her eyes. Glancing back to the bed she realised she had a few more items than when she’d first arrived in the city; a fact that was obvious as she had filled her suitcase and had a couple of shopping bags next to it which held the overflow. She smoothed out her long floral dress as she looked back to the mirror, her hands pausing on her stomach as she wondered how much longer she’d be able to wear her normal clothes and lost herself to her daydreamings.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC pulled up outside the hotel in a rental car, not being sure how much stuff Lorelai had to bring with her. Parking, badly, she got out and headed up the stairs to get to her floor. She didn't bother knocking and simply walked right on in with a grin, looking around to see if she were ready and where she was. "Hellooooo?"

Lorelai: The familiar voice had Lorelai smiling before she’d even consciously realised that CC was in the room. She shook off her thoughts and hurried to greet her, throwing her arms around her waist and hugging her tightly. “Ana,” she sighed softly as she rested her head on CC’s shoulder and looked up at her. “I’m almost ready to go,” she added softly.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC wrapped her own arms around the girl and grinned, nodding her head as she kissed her forehead softly. "Good good, there's no rush though, loads of time!" CC nuzzled her face into Lorelai's hair and just enjoyed the warmth and the scent of her, wondering what it would be like to live with her full time and be surrounded by that scent always! She couldn't wait to find out!

Lorelai: Lorelai barely registered the temperature of CC’s skin these days and so showed no outward signs of being chilled by her touch. She fanned her hands out over her back, one low down on the curve of her spine, the other between her shoulder blades in a rather awkward seeming and yet entirely comfortable embrace. “I’m looking forward to the evening ahead,” she admitted as a flush of colour warmed her cheeks. “How’s the baby today?” she asked CC as they still stood unmoving in the doorway; it become a habit of hers to ask this on a nightly basis as CC could hear the child’s heartbeat and would likely be the first to know if anything was wrong.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Heart rate is elevated. But, that's your fault." She smirked. "Something is exciting you and raising yours, which in turn raises it's." She chuckled, wriggling against the other's body as her fingers trailed down and grabbed her bum cheeks.

Lorelai: Lorelai gasped as CC groped her and giggled. “Nothing new in that then. Though once again I would like to remind you that you share equal blame in this, seeing as you are thing exciting me.” The hand between CC’s shoulder blade moved up to grip the shoulder as she leaned her upper body away from the woman, smiling up at her. “Did you sleep well?” she asked, her eyes roaming over CC’s face, before coming to rest on the lips she desired to feel against her own.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC kissed her slowly, just enjoying the moment and relaxing into it having seen the look in the woman's eyes and knowing it well. After a decent moment, and feeling the quiver in 'ell's body, she broke the kiss and winked. "Well, it will need a strong heart to cope in the world. So no issues with it getting a good workout now! And yes, I slept ok. Odd dreams, that I can't remember now, but ok. And of course, always better for seeing you!"

Lorelai: Lorelai’s smile was always echoed in her eyes when CC was around and the kiss had left her shivering lightly in the woman’s arms as she fought to find her breath once more. CC had a way of knocking Lorelai completely off centre and while she enjoyed it, she had to fight with her own body to calm herself when they were this close. This was the reason she then pulled away, the hand on her shoulder running down CC’s arm till their fingers could be entwined, before leading her into the room. “Are you ready to move in with a human?” she asked half teasingly, the sentence allowing for CC to perhaps change her mind if she wished too.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Won't be the first time I've lived with a human" She chuckled, thinking of old flatmates and workmates, DD and even Leo. She gave 'Ell's fingers a squeeze, still amused at the effect she had on her and how she had to pull away after so long together. One of these nights, she was going to refuse to let her go and keep her close - just to see what would happen.

Lorelai: “Did you share a bed with them too?” she asked a little gingerly, her curiosity getting the better of her. She needed to collect her toiletries bag from the bathroom but her hand was happy where it was and she didn’t want to pull away from CC, not when she hadn’t seen her all day. She’d still yet to speak with her boss about changing her hours or perhaps quitting all together. Of course she couldn’t put that off much longer, as she did want to spend more time with her girlfriend.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Some of them, yeh. Some of the rooms and apartments we shared weren't big enough for two beds.... Or more than one room in fact." She snorted at the memory of those pokey places. "So, what's left to do?"

Lorelai: “Oh,” she replied, trying not to worry about what that may have meant. “I just need to get my toiletries bag and then I’m ready. Though I would like to check the drawers and cupboards one more time to be sure I packed everything.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, you check the drawers, I'll go get your toiletries." She smiled, letting go of her hand and then heading for the bathroom where she began stuffing bottles of who knew what into a bag, curling her nose at the 'natural' and 'homemade' potions 'ell used.

Lorelai: “Thank you Ana,” she said as she began opening and closing everything in the room to see if she’d left anything behind. When she was satisfied she hadn’t, she stopped and went back to stand by her bags.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: This packing lark was easy. Soon as you'd had enough nosing at the bottles, you just held the bag open and swept your arm or hand along the shelf and knocked everything into the bag in a great big heap! Easy! With her special type of packing, she was done in no time at all and heading out right as 'Ell got to her other bags. "Don't you ******* dare think about picking those up Miss! That's what I'm here for!"

Lorelai: Lorelai laughed at CC as she came back into the room. “I’m not so frail as to require someone else to carry my bags for me you know. But if you’re going to insist I won’t argue.” As she started to speak she’d held out her hand to the woman, hoping that she’d take it once more. If CC was going to insist on carry everything, she doubted she’d get another chance any time soon to actually hold her in any significant way.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Damn right I'm insisting. You're ******* pregnant. I read on the internet, you're not supposed to lift things. So ******* move." She grinned and took her hand, kissing the fingers and nipping them gently before slipping around her and gathering all the bags up in her other hand without even thinking about it.

Lorelai: Her smile was still bright as CC took her hand and nipped at her fingertips. “I’m not all that pregnant,” she said gesturing to her seemingly flat stomach with her free hand. “Though I’m sure that’s supposed to change soon. I should probably invest in one of those baby books shouldn’t I? I was planning on asking my mother what I needed to know but…” she paused to consider if she should ask the question or not. “I was waiting till we had moved as I was considering perhaps asking her to come and visit.” She waited to gauge CC’s reaction to this idea, as she wasn’t sure if CC would want to even meet her mother and she half worried that her mother might then recognise her for what she was.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC kinda froze, her face contorting in annoyance at the fact the mother even knew about the baby. The freezing was to do with her coming to visit. "It's.... fine. I'll get you a book. Or 20. And the fact you're not very pregnant is exactly when lifting isn't advised. And.... why would you want her to ******* visit? Thought you moved here to be away from her, and the rest? And.... what if she like, realises what I am? Or are they all as naive as you? And what do they think about.... vampires?"

Lorelai: “I’m pregnant Ana. Every woman turns to their mother when they are pregnant. We didn’t go to hospitals where I lived. Every child was delivered at home. I’m a little worried about not having anyone here to support me through this,” she admitted. It wasn’t that she didn’t think CC would do her best, she just wanted someone with a little experience in such things to help her through it. “And my family are very peaceful. I’ve told you that. We don’t go around hunting vampires or anything. My parent’s gifts aren’t really used, as they never truly embraced the way of our family. Not like our ancestors did.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: Her face hardened as 'ell said she had no-one to support her through, and could only bring herself to make monosyllabic grunts of "Uh huh" by way of an answer.

Lorelai: “Ana? What did I say that upset you?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Nothing" She said sulkily

Lorelai: “My family really are peaceable Ana. You have nothing to fear from them. And I do want my mother to help me. Is that not a reasonable request?” she asked as she squeezed CC’s hand gently.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Uh huh"

Lorelai: “Ana. Tell me what I said that’s upset you. Please? You know I would never intentionally upset you.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She sighed and rubbed her head, letting go of 'ell's hand to do so. "You said you bloody well had no ****** to help you through this pregnancy, to help. I mean ****! What the **** am I?"

Lorelai: Lorelai’s eyes were filled with remorse. “I didn’t mean that. I didn’t mean you. It’s just…you’ll be working a lot and unconscious during the day. I’ll need someone to talk too that’s been through all of this. Who better than my mother? Do you understand?” She moved cautiously to hug CC, wondering if she’d pull away from her.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She didn't pull away, but she didn't reciprocate either. Not at that moment, not when her head was full of thoughts of her own daughter whom she'd left behind in Poland with the.... people she'd grown up around. She refused to cry, she wasn't the sort to let her real and true emotions show her weaknesses. Lorelai didn't know it, but she'd just hit CC's one weak spot that cut her deeper than any other, and she was hurting bad!

Lorelai: She knew there was something wrong, CC was getting easier to read and the fact that her path was particularly emotional may be playing a part in that too. Lorelai softened her hold on her girlfriend but didn’t let her go, instead she settled against, holding her close. “I don’t even know how I’d begin to cope with all of this without you Ana. You’ve been so kind to me since the night we first met.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: A hand moved to stroke Lorelai's back softly, the other one still full of all of her belongings. "It's fine. Don't think about it. Shall we go?"

Lorelai: “I’m sorry my words hurt you Ana. I had no intention of doing so. You have to believe me.” Instead of letting her go so they could leave, she buried her face in CC’s neck and kissed her very softly. “Please don’t hate me my angel.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: That one broke CC's mood and she chuckled - bipolar as she was now since being turned - and she turned her head to kiss the top of 'ell's head. "Your angel eh? Well, I've never ******* been called that before!"

Lorelai: Lorelai smiled. “Yes.” She nodded. “You are my angel.” Lorelai squeezed her gently and then pulled back from her. “We should probably go home before we waste any more of your valuable time on me and my silliness.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Time with you is never wasted" CC said seriously, opening the door for her and then following her out. "Have you checked out?"

Lorelai: “Not yet,” she reached around CC and closed the door. “I just have to hand in the key and settle up at the front desk and then we can leave. Hopefully we won’t have to wait long for the train.” She made her way to the elevator and pressed the down button.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC nodded her head, hiding the smile she felt having been paying for Lorelai's room for a while now and she knew there was no bill to settle. Not to mention the car she had waiting outside for her. "Ok. Shouldn't take long. These places are normally pretty good with stuff"

Lorelai: “Do you have many belongings to move in?” she asked as the elevator doors opened and she stepped inside. “I’m sure you must have a lot more than I do.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No, not really. I think I've got all the furniture you picked out in and arranged as you said you wanted it. As for my stuff, I don't really have 'stuff'."

Lorelai: “We may have to pick out some more things then,” she said with a smile. “Are you not happy with the furniture we picked out? I thought it was our decision, not just mine.” She pressed the button for the ground floor and waited to feel the lurch in her stomach that said they were moving.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Hmm? What?" She didn't understand. "Course I like it all. It's you, it's me, it's us. Together. Forever."

Lorelai: Lorelai smiled, unable to correct CC’s wording of forever, as she knew she wouldn’t live anywhere near as long as her vampire lover. “It needs to feel like our home. Like we live there. I don’t worry about the items we have so much as the energy we leave behind. A home should feel like a home. Wouldn’t you agree?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Ummm, yes." She smiled, nodding her head and then stepping out of the elevator as the doors opened. She walked through the foyer and waited by a pillar for Lorelai to check out and find the surprise.

Lorelai: CC didn’t seem convinced, despite her words but they didn’t have a chance to discuss it right then, as she approached the reception desk. She placed the card on the table and was surprised to hear the guy say that everything had been taken care of. They argued, or as close to arguing as Lorelai came, for a few moments and then the guy nodded towards CC. Lorelai turned and looked at her, clearly surprised by what she’d done. Having thanked the man, she ran back to CC and threw her arms around her. “See you are my angel,” she mumbled against her neck.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC chuckled, her arm looping around 'ell's waist and holding her in a hug. "Hardly. All I did, was pay your bill."

Lorelai: “You aren’t going to argue with a pregnant woman are you?” she teased as she took her hand once more. She was ready for the walk to the station, the night air might even help her to calm down a little, as she always felt like she were on fire when CC was around, even if she was perfectly calm.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Damn right I am when the pregnant woman is wrong." She grinned, leading her out and heading the opposite way to the station.

Lorelai: “You can’t argue with how I feel Ana. To me you are an angel. You are so sweet and caring. You look after me when you don’t have to. Erm…Ana,” she asked looking around her when she noticed they were going the wrong way. “The station is in the opposite direction.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mm Hmm" She chuckled. "I know." Her hand let go of 'ell and reached into her top to pull out the keys to the car. Her outfits were far too small for pockets, so she kept everything she needed in her bra. Pointing the keys at a Hyundai fuel cell car that was an eco-friendly car that she'd hired with 'ell in mind, watching it beep as it unlocked.

Lorelai: “You… bought a car?” she asked wondering what CC was thinking.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Nope. Just hired one for the night to move your stuff and then maybe go out somewhere?"

Lorelai: “Why would we want to go out?” she asked genuinely surprised by this idea also. “We could have taken the train you know. I’m not so fragile that public transport would be a problem for me.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Yeh, well, I didn't know how much stuff you had to move. So thought a car might come in handy." She grumbled softly, putting things into the boot and opening the door for her to get into. "And we don't have to go out if you don't want to."

Lorelai: “I thought we were spending the night in. Our first night in our new home. Together.” She said moving around to the passenger’s door. CC had the door open for her and so she slipped into the car and smiled up her mouthing the words ‘Thank you’.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC smiled back down at her and nodded, making her way around to the driver's side and slipping in herself. "Well, I thought you might like a meal out first? Or just a drive through the countryside? Or.... I don't know. I wanted to make it a nice night"

Lorelai: “We could order in?” she suggested. “It’s going to be a wonderful night regardless of what we do Ana. It’s our first night as a proper couple. I’ve never lived with anyone before so I’m excited. Though I may just be excited about the prospect of spending the entire night with you, you work too much,” she threw in flippantly.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Nah, I don't work enough." She said, pulling out of the parking space and heading out into the roadways. "There's always money to be made if you can think how. And sure, we can do takeaway. You watch, you'll soon be ******* sick of me." She chuckled

Lorelai: Lorelai shook her head lightly. “Oh I don’t imagine that could possibly happen. But… You do work too much you know. I’d like to spend more time with you. Perhaps you could set aside one or two nights a week to spend with me? After all we only have so much time of it being just us two before we become us three.” She rest her hand on her stomach as if to emphasise what she meant.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She frowned, not liking the sound of that and slowly nodded her head. "Maybe. I think. I could book you in at the beginning of the night, work after you're in bed?"

Lorelai: “And if I changed my hours? To become more nocturnal…like you?” she asked, not at all offended by what CC had said.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Then that's not fair on the kid. It will need sunshine and friends and.... well, normal kid stuff."

Lorelai: “But I need you too,” she replied without thinking. “You’ll miss everything if me and the baby are awake all day and sleep all night. I want you to be with us. Don’t you want to be a real family?” There was no judgement in her tone, she was just thinking practically, as CC was too apparently, only they had different priorities it seemed.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Of course. I'll do the night feeds and such, so you can sleep. It'll be like any couple where one parent works night shifts. You can't both be up at night and deprive the child of a normal ******* life!"

Lorelai: “You won’t be here at night,” she reminded CC. “I guess I’ll have to give up my job when the time comes too. Perhaps it wouldn’t be a bad idea to ask my mother to move here…for the first few years. She can babysit for me while I’m working. ”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: Again, CC fell silent and just concentrated on the road ahead of them. Though her driving became a bit more.... ragey.

Lorelai: Her nails bit into the chair as she began to feel unnerved by the driving. “Ana… Can you slow down please? Please? I’m starting to get scared.” It wasn’t just the speed of course, it was the way in which she moved the vehicle but this was the only way she could phrase it that made sense.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Hmmm? Why? It's fine" She said, easily overtaking someone and glancing at 'ell with a grin. "It's safe!"

Lorelai: “Watch the road,” she squeaked, her knuckles now going white with the effort of gripping the seat too tightly.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You're acting like you've never been in a car before" She laughed, slowing down a tad

Lorelai: “I’ve been in a taxi before,” she replied, her hands not relaxing much at all.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "So..... what's wrong?"

Lorelai: “I feel like you’re trying to kill me,” she said softly. “Please can you just slow down a little more. I’m quite uncomfortable and I’m sure the stress of this isn’t good for the baby.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: That was a low blow that just about had CC slamming on the brakes of the car and driving like a little old woman, silently.

Lorelai: “Ana… Did I upset you again?” she asked when the woman said nothing but altered her driving anyway.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No. You just thought I wanted to kill you is all!"

Lorelai: “I… Well…” there was no way to justify that but at least the pain in her knuckles had gone away since her fingers could now relax. “I’m sorry Ana. I was just scared. That’s all.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Why?"

Lorelai: “You were driving so… scarily?” she didn’t know how to describe it really so she just shrugged. Sensing perhaps that she needed to reconnect to Ana, she reached out and placed her hand on CC’s thigh. “I feel better now. Calmer.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC lowered one hand and put it on top of 'ell's hand, holding it against her bare thigh softly as she drove. "I'm sorry. I just.... like going fast"

Lorelai: “And that’s fine…When you’re alone. But you have baby and me to worry about now. We aren’t as indestructible as you remember?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She frowned at that, squeezing her hand. "You're not? You don't heal? And if anything happens, or when the time comes - I'll turn you. Then we'll never be apart"

Lorelai: “Why would you think I’m indestructible? I’m still human CC and when the time comes you should let me die. It will mean it’s my time. I’ll live longer than a normal person of course, but… I don’t have forever like you do my angel.” Lorelai was perfectly calm as she spoke, there was no hint of fear in her voice when she thought about her mortality, if anything she sounded like she’d welcome that day with open arms.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, cause.... you have to be." she said firmly.

Lorelai: Lorelai laughed softly, her fingertips lightly stroking CC’s skin. “Sorry Ana. I’m just human. But I think that’s why you love me.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, as I said. If it comes to it. I'll turn you. You're mine, and you can't leave me"

Lorelai: “I’m sure we’ve had this conversation already Ana. I want to die. That’s the natural order of things. I told you I don’t want to be a vampire. Remember?” She was beginning to worry about how differently their thought processes were. In some ways that was perhaps a blessing, as it would mean they should complement one another nicely but in another way it would many, many more conversations like this one.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Uh huh" CC said placating, knowing she'd never let that happen.

Lorelai: Lorelai smiled, thinking that CC had actually listened to her, “You’ll understand my way of thinking eventually. It should get easier for you to see once we are living together. You won’t be able to miss I’m sure,” she laughed softly knowing how the apartment would likely soon be filled with plants and flowers and comforting scents that would help her relax.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She smiled and nodded, turning the corner to look for a parking space. "So, you sure you want to do this? Last chance to walk away" That was a lie, but hey.

Lorelai: “Oh I’m quite sure thank you,” she pulled on the belt wanting to lean over and kiss CC’s cheek, only to find herself stuck in the thing. “I want to move in with you. To live with you. It would be very difficult for us to raise our child together if we lived apart now wouldn’t it?” Lorelai couldn’t help but smile at her own words. As much as the child belonged to another, she didn’t want or require his presence in their lives.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She couldn't help but grin at that as she pulled into a parking space and turned off the engine. Unbuckling herself, she leant right over Lorelai, her body almost lying on the girl, and grinned. "Good!" She said breathily, leaning down to kiss her full on the lips.

Lorelai: She didn’t mind being trapped as she was. The proximity of CC made it hard for her to think and her heart fluttered as always as their lips touched. “Mmm,” she sighed contentedly, one hand on CC’s cheek. “We should go inside,” she reminded her not really being the exhibitionist sort.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Yup. We should." She purred, her fingers teasing at 'ell's waist as she kissed her again.

Lorelai: Lorelai lost herself in the second kiss and all too soon found that she was short of breath. Pulling back from CC she giggled, “You do know we aren’t there yet… Hm?” She lightly pressed her lips to CC’s and then tried unbuckling her belt so that she could get out of the car; once CC pulled away from her that was.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She chuckled and nodded, getting back in her seat and then opening the door. "Yeh, you're not as carefree as I am. I know. Come on then. Let's get up the stairs!"

Lorelai: Once out of the car, she moved to try and retrieve her things before CC could argue with her about not carrying stuff while pregnant. It seemed a strange rule, especially when she felt stronger these days than she had ever done before. CC seemed eager to get upstairs and she couldn’t say she wasn’t equally as enthused for what the night might bring but then she was still a little hesitant when it came to their physical relationship. The nerves began to show on her face and she tensed up slightly but only for a moment, as her usually composure quickly returned.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC headed for the boot and scowled at Lorelai as she spotted her reaching for bags. She let her have a carrier bag, but no more than that, and then took the rest herself - closing and locking the car behind her. However, she caught a weird look on Lorelai's face and frowned again. "You ok?"

Lorelai: Clutching the bad she’d obviously been allowed to take to keep her quiet, she nodded. “I’m fine,” she smiled warmly at CC but this time the smile didn’t quite reach her eyes.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC frowned at the lack of happy eyes and moved closer, letting her free hand slide over Lorelai's arm gently. "You sure? Cause you don't look it."

Lorelai: The feeling of electricity that shot through her body every time CC touched her thrilled her completely and so the smile on her lips finally reached her eyes. “It’s nothing to worry about Ana. I really am fine.” She wasn’t sure how to even begin the mix of emotions she felt inside of her in that moment.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She nodded her head slowly, not believing her but not pushing her - for now. She slid her hand down and took 'ell's hand, leading her on in and up to the apartment

Lorelai: Lorelai pulled herself close to CC’s side and momentarily rested her head on her shoulder as her hand squeezed hers. “So… We’re staying in and ordering takeaway. Is there anything else you wanted to do tonight?” Her tone was light and sounded carefree but there was something else in her voice that showed the question was slightly more leading than it seemed.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mmm Hmm." She said. "Just as you wanted to. And we can do anything you like. Movie wasn't it?"

Lorelai: “You want to watch a movie with me? Do you actually sit still that long?” she asked. It sounded flippant perhaps but it was an honest question. CC didn’t seem the sort to be satisfied watching TV, she wasn’t sure she even owned one; even her work one was more for CCTV purposes. Lorelai wasn’t a big TV watcher either, so she didn’t really mind but in that many shows and films did interest her as they were all still a little new to her.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Ummmm.... I can try?" She laughed, having never actually watched a movie before unless she was without a limb and couldn't go anywhere.

Lorelai: “Do we even own any movies?” she asked, slightly confused. Lorelai knew she didn’t own any and since she couldn’t CC sitting still long enough to watch one, she was almost certain she didn’t own any either. Buying a movie would probably entail leaving the apartment, which she didn’t want to do once they crossed the threshold or having someone bring one to them, probably Leo, which also wasn’t ideal as far as plans went.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No. But I've seen adverts for an internet service thing where you can order one and watch it online. I can hook up the TV to a laptop and we can watch one."

Lorelai: “Oh. I hadn’t considered that option,” she smiled up at CC. “What style of movie would you like to watch? Do you have a preference?” In some ways this conversation showed just how little this pair knew about one another, not that it phased Lorelai in the slightest as she hadn't considered this.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No. But I think it' probably safer if you pick it. My tastes might be too.... dark for you." She sighed, thinking about how evil and blood crazed she was, especially when compared to 'ell.

Lorelai: “You do remember I rarely watched television at home my angel. I’m not really sure what style of movie I like. And faced with too many options I’m not sure I could choose,” she said honestly. It perhaps sounded like she was being difficult but she wasn’t, she was more than willing to watch a movie, wanted to watch one even, she just had no idea which one to watch. As they reached the elevator she pressed the button and turned so that she could look CC in the eye while she listened to her reply.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC leant against the wall and shrugged her shoulders. "Well. We will see what opens on the page after I sign up. Then we can take it from there yeh? I mean - what sort of mood do you want to feel from the film?"

Lorelai: Lorelai stepped onto the elevator when the door opened, having taken a few moments to consider what CC had asked. What did she want to feel? “I’d like to watch something that makes me feel… Hmm… I’m not sure. Something that won’t ruin the mood I’m in now I suppose.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She just laughed, shaking her head. "And what mood are you in just now? Precisely"

Lorelai: “Well,” she began pressing the button for the correct floor. “I’m not entirely sure I can accurately describe what I’m feeling right in this moment. I’m happy of course. Excited. Nervous. And a few other things. Do I sound silly?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No no. Not at all. But I'm guessing then - A romance?"

Lorelai: “Would you be awfully disappointed to have to watch that kind of movie?” Lorelai wasn’t sure CC was into that sort of thing, not that she didn’t believe the woman was capable of being romantic. She’d seen very little of CC’s bad side, the one Leo had hinted at, and so tried to pretend it didn’t exist.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Why would I be disappointed?"

Lorelai: “Is it your style of movie?” she asked, as if the question were the answer to what she’d been asked.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No movie is really my style. They're few and far between, me watching them I mean."

Lorelai: “Oh. Then perhaps we should find something else to do. What do you usually do when you aren’t working?” she asked forgetting who she was talking to for a moment.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC couldn't help but snort as she walked out of the lift onto their floor. "Really?"

Lorelai: It took Lorelai a few moments to figure out what she’s said to have caused that response. “Oh… Yes… Well…” she looked down to the floor and sighed softly. “Perhaps it would be good to find you a hobby away from work.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I have one." CC smiled, squeezing Lorelai's hand. "You and the baby"

Lorelai: Lorelai smiled softly as she withdrew her hand from CC’s and then placed it to her angel’s cheek. “I am not a hobby Ana. Relationships aren’t a hobby; they are a commitment.” She stroked her cool skin with her thumb. “You want to be with me because you care about me. As I do you. But I would never cheapen what we have by calling it a hobby my angel.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I thought a hobby was anything fun you did that wasn't work?!" She asked, confused and worried that she'd upset or offended Loreai somehow.

Lorelai: “Yes I suppose that could be a fairly accurate definition angel, but people as a general rule are not hobbies.” She curled the hand and brushed her cheeks with the back of her fingers before trailing her fingertips down CC’s neck and moving her hand to cradle the back of her neck before pulling her down to softly kiss her lips. “Am I a nothing more than a hobby to you?” she asked as she pulled back to look into CC’s eyes.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She kissed her back gently and shrugged. "With your definition, no. With mine, yes"

Lorelai: She laughed and took her hand once more. “Then perhaps we need to define our relationship more clearly. And perhaps find you a proper hobby so that you’ll be able to tell the difference.” She began rummaging around in the carrier bag looking for the keys to the flat but she had no idea where she’d put the set CC had given her and so her brow furrowed as she didn’t find what she was looking for.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC kissed the furrowed brow and pulled the keys from the woman's pocket with a smile. "******* pregnancy brain!" she chuckled softly and opened the door for them, picking her up and carrying her over the threshold as if they were just married.

Lorelai: “What?” she asked, thankful for CC’s ability to be able to locate the missing keys. “What is pregnancy brain? And…” she looked around them, the carrier bag resting on her thighs. “I’m quite capable of walking through a doorway Ana.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Yeh, well, this is what folks do when they move in together. Isn't it?" She asked, placing her down gently. "And pregnancy brain - it's where you get confused and forgetful. More so than usual."

Lorelai: “Oh I wouldn’t know…On either front I’m afraid. Sorry.” She gave a small shrug of her shoulders and then placed the carrier bag down against the nearest wall. “Are there any other traditions I should know of?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I have no ******* idea!" She laughed, shutting the door and then setting her bags on the couch. "I just googled stuff."

Lorelai: “Well I suppose we could always start some new traditions. Though I suppose they technically aren’t traditions then,” her nose wrinkled as she considered her own words.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "All traditions had to start ******* somewhere right?" She grinned, opening bags and poking inside to see what she had.

Lorelai: “That’s very true,” she said as she moved to take CC’s hands out of her bags. “Can you really not wait until I’ve put everything away before you go rummaging through my belongings?” she teased. She had nothing to hide but still, she didn’t think she should be doing what she was doing.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "What's yours is mine?" She smirked, leaning forwards and licking Lorelai's cheek. "So, what's on the menu for tonight then?"

Lorelai: “For me… whatever you tell me is available. For you… I was thinking…” she pulled her hair back from her neck. CC licking her cheek didn’t upset her in the least, in fact she barely even reacted to it at the time and had simply brushed her cheek with the back of her hand.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Anything you want is on the menu. As for me.... that would be great. If.... you know? You're feeling strong enough?"

Lorelai: “I feel strong enough,” she said with a smile. “I’m not sure what I want to eat yet. So why don’t you feed first?” She trailed one her fingers down her neck and stepped closer to CC.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Because....." she purred, fingers dancing over Lorelai's skin where they could. "If I feed from you first.... we might get distracted with other things."

Lorelai: Her heart was all a flutter and she swallowed hard, her eyes closed as CC stroked her. “Oh… Of course.” She swayed gently where she stood waiting to see if CC was capable of the restraint she wasn’t.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC leant down, smelling the hormones buzzing from Lorelai so strongly that she could almost taste them. "God you're so amazing!" She moaned, her lips lowering and kissing the neck, scratching her fangs over the delicate skin. "But yes..... you need to eat." She said with a groan, pulling away and looking for the menus.

Re: The first big step

Post by Cinnamon Cherrywhip »

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Lorelai: A small gasp escaped her lips as CC pulled away from her. “As you wish my angel. Ana…” her voice trembled as she hesitated to ask the question. “Do you think you’ll still be attracted to me, to my scent, when I’m… when I’m no longer pregnant?” She’d worked out that CC had never known her to smell any other way and wasn’t sure how much of what the woman loved about her was her, or her child.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "**** yeh" She said definitely, though it did make her think. Would she? Finding the menus, she smiled again and brought them back to Lorelai, offering them to her.

Lorelai: “Are you sure?” she asked taking the menus and going to make some room for herself amongst her luggage on the sofa. “You’ve never… I’ve always been…” Lorelai opened the menus and was trying to look for something she could eat what with being a rather “fussy” eater. “You’ve only known me pregnant,” she said finally finishing the sentence.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "And I'll know you after too. And I'll still wanna **** you and bite you and be with you regardless!"

Lorelai: Her crude phrasing shouldn’t have had Lorelai melting the way it did but she felt a sudden rush of blood through her entire body. “I hope that’s true,” she said her eyes settling on something with meat in. She was a little taken back by this as her mouth was almost watering at the list of ingredients. A small shiver gave her some perspective and she blamed the craving on CC distracting her, rather than on the entity growing inside her.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Course it ******* is" She laughed, looking to see what was holding Lorelai's attention on the Lebanese menu she was staring at.

Lorelai: “Do you know what this tastes like?” she said pointing to something more suitable.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC was at the wrong angle to see what she was pointing at, a light shining on the gloss paper. "Which? What's it say?"

Lorelai: “Sha-warm-a” She replied, breaking the word up into understandable pieces as she wasn’t sure how to speak it. “Is it… nice? Have you eaten it before?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Oh yes. But, it's got meat in it usually. Have they a vegetarian one?" She said vegetarian as she always did. With disgust, as if it were something distasteful in her mouth.

Lorelai: “Oh! I thought,” she looked at the menu again blinking as she thought the one she last looked at was vegan friendly but then she read the ingredients again, seeing that beef was in there. “Hmm… I could have sworn. Perhaps you should choose something for me,” she said trying to hand the menu to CC. “Like you did in the Chinese place. Only… I don’t think we need so much. So perhaps not like you did at the Chinese.” A soft laugh escaped her as she thought about what she’d said.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She laughed, amused at her. "So, getting cravings already are you?" She took the menus back and flicked through, making a choice and then calling up the restaurant and putting in the order, listening to how long it would take to arrive and then hanging up. "Right. Done."

Lorelai: “You… Didn’t order any meat for me did you?” she asked, wondering if perhaps CC had decided it would be better for her and the child to try something different.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "There's some meat coming, yes - but you don't have to eat it if you don't want it."

Lorelai: “Thank you,” she said sounding almost ashamed of herself. She wasn’t sure if she was ready to start giving up everything that she was for the sake of the child, in truth she hadn’t even begun to consider what she might need to change about her lifestyle. Lorelai was far from selfish and would indeed do what was in the child’s best interests; only, she had no idea what the child’s best interests were. She fell silent as it all began to really sink in.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC frowned and wrapped an arm around her, drawing her into a hug as she whispered to her. "What's wrong babe?"

Lorelai: “Nothing’s wrong Ana. I’m just thinking. There’s so much I don’t know about having a child and being a mother. These last few weeks I’ve been so focused on us and our apartment and work that I’ve not really… And now…” CC had this way about her that made Lorelai feel completely safe, like nothing could wrong, so with her arms around her, she began to feel a little silly.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "What?" She said, frowning. "You've not really what 'ell?" CC was worrying that something was wrong with the both of them - 'ell and the baby - and she'd not been looking after herself properly.

Lorelai: “I’ve not been thinking about what this all means. What I need to do. There’s just so much to think about and decide. I have no idea what I’m doing.” She wasn’t shivering or shaking outwardly but inside she was trembling. CC’s arms kept her calm and she even managed to look up at her and smile softly. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to ruin our evening. I’m sure this can all wait for another night.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC smiled and helped Lorelai up, leading her over to the door of the small room and then pausing. "You've already done a ******* huge amount! As have I!" She leant into the door and turned the handle, opening it up so Lorelai could see the nursery that was all set up and decorated with the best of the best and a beautiful mural on the walls to make it look like they were standing in a sunny field with woods to one side and flowers everywhere.

Lorelai: Lorelai followed though she wasn’t exactly sure what CC was leading her towards. “Wow,” she said taking in the sights around her. She moved to run her hand over the mural, inspecting the work and then she turned to face CC. “When did you have the time to do all this?” She began walking around the room and inspecting the furniture that CC had bought for their child.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I hired people." She shrugged, leaning against the doorframe. "Wanted to surprise you and take a load off your mind. Google is ******* amazing! And I swear, if you've not got something for the kid - you don't need it!" She laughed.

Lorelai: Lorelai ran over and threw her arms around CC’s waist. (She’d of preferred to throw them around her neck but she was still wearing her usual footwear that kept her out of easy reach). “You really are my angel.” Lorelai hugged CC, crushing her to her and yet the woman probably didn’t feel the effort that as CC was much stronger than she was. “Thank you so much. The room looks lovely.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: One of CC's arms snaked around 'ell and gently stroked her back. "You're more than welcome. I hope the decor is ok? I had to think hard for that ******* one."

Lorelai: “Oh it’s perfect. It truly is,” She said turning to look at the mural once more. Lorelai stayed where she was and then rest her head against CC shoulder. “I think you may have put a little more thought into the baby’s arrival than I have.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just shrugged, sure that wasn't true. But she knew the only thing she had, the only thing she could do, was throw money at things. So that's what she'd been doing.

Lorelai: Lorelai kissed CC shoulder and laughed softly. “It’s okay to admit you’ve thought about the baby more than me Ana. I won’t be offended. It’s a very attractive quality; that you care so much.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She opened her mouth, about to say she didn't care - but that wasn't true and would have come across so very wrongly. So instead, she just stayed quiet and kissed Lorelai's head, not sure how to phrase what she meant.

Lorelai: CC was suspiciously quiet but Lorelai put that down to CC being modest and squeezed her all the tighter. As her mind started to fill with thoughts that were not conducive to the current state of affairs, or the fact that dinner was coming, she pulled back and took a hold of CC’s hand to pull her back into the front room. “Perhaps you should sign up to that website you mentioned while I take my things to the bedroom?” she suggested.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mmm k" She nodded her head, closing the door on the nursery and following along, letting go of 'ell's hand to grab the laptop and the wires needed to hook it up to the TV.

Lorelai: Lorelai pulled her bags off the sofa and wheeled the case to the bedroom. The carrier bags were sat on the op it and rested against the extendable bars. Once in the bedroom, Lorelai found a little space out of the way to rest the items until they were needed but not before digging out her toiletries bag and taking that to the bathroom. With things neatly out of the way, she returned to the front room, as unpacking could wait until after dinner as far as she was concerned. “How’s it going?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Fine" She mumbled, trying the wires another way around and crowing as it actually worked this time! She'd already signed up for the site and had it up on the laptop screen - and now the TV screen as well. "So. Got a choice?" She'd brought up the romance section and there were 10 options on the screen for Lorelai to pick from.

Lorelai: Lorelai watched the screen surprised to see that the laptop could be so easily connected to the television. She wasn’t all that great with either appliance and so was grateful to have CC there to do things like this for her, for them. “What is Bridget Jones’s Diary?” There were newer titles on the list, not that she knew the age of any of them, but this one stood out as the concept of the movie at least could be quite simple.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Ummmm..... " CC said, bringing it up to read the description aloud. " A British woman is determined to improve herself while she looks for love in a year in which she keeps a personal diary." She turned and looked to Lorelai, cocking her head. "Fancy it?"

Lorelai: Lorelai shook her head as it didn’t sound all that interesting all things considered. What about that one, she said gesturing to the screen before she realised CC probably couldn’t tell which one she meant from where she stood. “The Proposal?” she said coming to sit on the sofa.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC clicked back and out of the first film, going into the second to read out what it was about. "A pushy boss forces her young assistant to marry her in order to keep her Visa status in the U.S. and avoid deportation to Canada." Again, she turned her head to look at Lorelai to see what she thought this time.

Lorelai: “That sounds… interesting,” she said having considered the description of the film. “Would you like to watch that too?” There was a small chance CC might have seen it and therefore wouldn’t want to watch it but then there was a better chance that CC hadn’t seen and had no interest in watching it at all. So Lorelai looked to her to see what she’d say.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Of course." CC lied so perfectly with a smile as she turned back to order the film and cue it up, ready to go. "So, now all we need is the food and then we can lock the door and pretend the outside doesn't exist."

Lorelai: “I like the sound of that,” Lorelai admitted. She had a whole night with CC and that fact thrilled her no-end, her biggest challenge of course was going to be trying to stay awake to enjoy it.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She looked up at the clock and saw there was still 10 mins until the food was due. So she got up from the floor, cartwheeled across the room - as she was full of energy having not killed anything or worked this evening - and sat down on the settee beside Lorelai. "So. What to do until food gets here?"

Lorelai: Lorelai was giggling as CC planted herself down next to her. “I’ve never seen you do that before. What was that?” she asked impressed by the woman’s flexibility and control; having not watched CC while working, she didn’t know that the woman was capable of far more impressive feats.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "huh?" CC looked around, wondering what she was talking about. "What was what?"

Lorelai: “That flippy thing you just did. Do it again,” she sang out happily, her eyes filled with amusement. “Please?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "What? The cartwheel?" She asked, totally bemused. "That's nothing. Kids do those in the playground!"

Lorelai: “Do it again. Please?” She wanted CC to do it again and reached out with both hands to gently nudge her as if to physically jolt her into actions.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She laughed and nodded her head, getting up and doing another cartwheel as requested.

Lorelai: Lorelai was thrilled by the simple feat as it wasn’t something she was capable of herself. “Why did you do that? The first one I mean. And how can you do that in your shoes? Aren’t you worried you’ll break your neck?” The silly girl still saw her powerful, vampiric girlfriend as a human at times and this was one such occasion.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I've just got a load of energy is all." She smiled. "And this is nothing. A cartwheel is ridiculously easy to do. I should show you what I can do on the pole, or the silks, or the ring one night. Then you'll really see what I can do!"

Lorelai: “On the what?” she asked not understanding what the silks or ring were. The pole was unmistakable but still… She’d never considered CC dancing around it. She’d been perhaps a little silly to have dismissed that idea, as she’d seen some of the other girls and guys working the poles while waiting for CC and she knew CC worked at the club too. She wasn’t entirely sure how she’d not considered this before and the realisation took the light from her eyes.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Pole, silks and ring" She repeated, thinking 'ell had just misheard.

Lorelai: “I don’t know what the last two are,” she admitted a little sheepishly, still trying to get the image of CC working the stage out of her head for several reasons.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "oh!" She chuckled. "Well, the silks are two pieces of silk that hang from the ceiling that you play with and hang from and make it look like you're flying. The other is like, a big suspended hula hoop. Watch." She got onto her knees again and pulled the laptop to her, bringing up you tube and queuing a couple of videos to play automatically on the big screen for Lorelai to watch. As the first one started, she got up and sat down beside 'ell again, watching her face to see what she thought. (Clip 1 / Clip 2)

Lorelai: Lorelai watched in stunned silence as the women on the screen did the most amazingly challenging and beautiful things with their bodies. It took such grace to be able to do these things and while she didn’t doubt that CC had that in her, it stunned her that the woman that she was with was capable of such feats. “You can do all that?” she asked sounding impressed at the idea of it.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC tried to not be offended by the surprise in 'ell's voice and nodded her head. "Yup. I can. How did you not realise what I could do?"

Lorelai: “I…” she flushed with colour realising just how stupid CC must have thought she was. “I don’t like to think of you at work. And…” she looked around the room nervously as if something or someone might be able to save her from this conversation. “I don’t tend to look around much when I visit you there.” It was harder to admit than she’d like, but it was true and she was sure that CC knew how difficult it was for her still to try and get her head around it all. This was another reasons she was happy they were living together, as now she’d have no reason to go to the club at all.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Ach well. I'll have to take you to the club sometime when it's closed and give you a private show. Let you see exactly what I can do" She smirked and winked

Lorelai: While the gesture was meant as a kindness Lorelai couldn’t help but shiver at the idea. A part of her wanted to see CC do these amazing things but that was just it, it would be CC doing them and not her Ana. To allow those two words to collide for her could be problematic and so she wasn’t sure she could accept the offer she’d been extended. Sitting quietly, she was almost thankful when the knock at the door came.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She frowned at the lack of an answer, but got up at the knock and retrieved the food, exchanging it for cash, and then brought it over to Lorelai. "Here you are. Dinner." She said, setting it down and then getting back to the laptop to change screens back to the film

Lorelai: Lorelai went to get plates and cutlery while CC answered the door, when she returned with the food, Lorelai peered into the bags and then looked to her lady. “Ana…Some of this is for you. Correct?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Hmmm? No. Why?" She said, settling back into the couch as the credits rolled.

Lorelai: “You aren’t going to eat any of it?” she asked realising that CC had ordered the meat dishes for her just in case. It was going to be a terrible waste of food and she really didn’t like feeling as if she were taking advantage of CC’s kindness. “Do you think that you could perhaps separate out the dishes for me and tell me what they are?” She sounded as pathetic as she felt asking this, she was a child in an adults body and she couldn’t help but curse herself for having not moved herself to the real world sooner.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC chuckled and pulled the boxes from the bag and lined them up on the coffee table. She opened them all and let the scents mix together as she wafted them towards Lorelai. "There. Now. You just have to taste and see which you like." She beamed, leaning back again and relaxing.

Lorelai: Lorelai sighed and peered into the boxes. She was hungry but she wasn’t so hungry as to dive right in and start eating without knowing what it was that she was putting into her body. “Ana please?” she looked to CC her eyes pleading with her to help. “If I eat something with meat in I might never forgive myself. And well… It could be painful for me later. I’ve been a herbivore my entire life.” She didn’t want to get into the details but it would certainly mess with her system to introduce meat to it now, especially if she ate too much at once. If she was going to start eating meat for the sake of the baby it would have to be something she’d have to introduce to her diet gradually over time.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC grabbed the menu and a pen and circled what she'd ordered and then marked the number on each of the boxes, handing the menu to Lorelai so she could match the number on the boxes to the numbers on the menu and know what was what.

Lorelai: “Are you mad at me?” she asked hugging the menu to her stomach while she looked from CC to the food.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC chuckled, looking at Lorelai in an amused manner. "Why would I be mad?"

Lorelai: “Because I didn’t know what you did… at work,” she shrugged wondering if she was imagining CC’s odd behaviour.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Course not. It's a bit weird, but I'm not mad"

Lorelai: “Oh,” her cheeks grew hot as she realised it had all been in her imagination. “I’m sorry.” She dropped her head and began studying the menu, peeking from the paper to the boxes. She arranged the ones with meat a little further back and then tried to decide where to start. The Thyme pasty looked nice but she wasn’t entirely sure how to go about eating it and if it would be rude to just pick it up and bite into it, so she tipped it onto her plate and began cutting a piece off to eat.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: The credits had finished and the film was starting, so CC leant into Lorelai and lay her arm along the back of the sofa, behind her woman to let her eat.

Lorelai: Lorelai felt guilty eating alone but she suspected that this was something she was going to have to learn to live with what with living with a vampire and all. She tried not to make too much noise as she ate and began alternating between what was on her plate and the box containing the spicy potatoes. It all tasted so good that she almost forgot to pay attention to the screen.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: Out of habit more than anything else, CC's hand moved to 'ell's neck, her fingernails scratching lovingly over the nape of her neck, totally absentmindedly.

Lorelai: Lorelai froze when Cc touched her but it had nothing to do with the temperature of her skin as it had everything to do with the fact that she felt so self-conscious eating when CC wasn’t. She swallowed what she had in her mouth and then a little nervously asked; “Are you sure you won’t have anything? There's more than enough to share.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No no." She said, pulled from the film to smile at Lorelai. "The food does nothing for me anyways. Remember? I just do it for appearances sake - or if I'm in the modd to taste it. Otherwise, there's no point"

Lorelai: “Okay,” she replied, feeling even more stupid than before for trying again to make CC eat something. “I’ll just eat what I can then.” One of the meat dishes smelt particularly tempting but she didn’t know why. She’d smelt roasted chicken before but it had never made her mouth water; with her fork held over the box she took a moment to consider what it would feel like to eat the flesh of a living creature and couldn’t help but shiver. Quickly, she cut another piece of pasty and forced herself to focus on the screen.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC watched her out of the corner of her eye, a half smile on her face as she saw her almost eat some meat. It would be good to get rid of some of the hippy dippy from her. Roughen up her edges a bit.

Lorelai: The film wasn’t bad and because she wasn’t used to watching romantic comedies, she had no way of being able to guess what might happen next and seemed genuinely swept up in the plot. SO much so that having eaten all the vegan options CC had ordered she found herself chewing on a piece of chicken without realising it.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC's grin had widened as she'd watched the chicken going into Lorelai's mouth - and then just waited for the realisation to hit.

Lorelai: It took a lot longer than it should have done for done for Lorelai to work out what she was eating, in fact she’d swallowed the first piece and was about to eat a second when she dropped the fork. “Oh my stars,” she gasped.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC pretended to look shocked and looked at Lorelai. "What's up?"

Lorelai: “I…” she turned to look at CC, her eyes wide and her cheeks burning. “I ate chicken.” The moment she said the words aloud she burst into tears, her hands coming up to shield her face in shame as she couldn’t believe what she’d done.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "And did you enjoy it?" CC asked, drawing Lorelai in close, holding her gently and stroking her arm in a soothing manner.

Lorelai: She shook her head but she had. She’d enjoyed the taste, just not perhaps the texture but it really didn’t matter to her as she was so annoyed with herself that she was trembling with remorse. She began to feel sick at the thought of what she’d done and very quickly, she put the plate on the coffee table and ran to the bathroom.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She paused the film and spun on her seat, looking to the bathroom to wait for her to return

Lorelai: Lorelai began to throw up everything she’d just eaten, thankfully she’d held it in until it was safe not to do so. She rested her arms along the seat of the toilet and cradled her head in her hands as she knelt before the porcelain fixture. She felt rotten for having eaten the flesh of an animal and rotten for having wasted the food CC had bought her. Every time she heaved, she pushed the button to clean the bowl and then waited to see if the ordeal was over.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Lorelai" She called out, rolling her eyes at the over dramatic scene that was unfolding. "Are you ok? Are you coming back?"

Lorelai: Lorelai was feeling awful and CC’s questions didn’t help. Of course she was coming back, she wasn’t planning on spending the rest of her life in the bathroom. Lorelai might have been annoyed by the statement but if she was it didn’t register in her conscious mind. Instead she found herself on shaky feet standing before the wash basin. She rinsed her mouth out then brushed her teeth and then finally began patting her face down with a cold, damp wash cloth. Even standing as she was however, she couldn’t bring herself to look at her own reflection in the mirror.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: The silence worried her a little, and she got up to go to the bathroom, knocking on the door softly and then waiting.

Lorelai: Lorelai opened the unlocked door and gave CC a soft smile that was supposed to stop her from worrying about her, only her face was now white and her eyes held no hint of happiness in them. “I’m coming back out. Please don’t worry.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "When you look like that? And just acted like that? And you think I won't worry?" She snorted. "Please. Don't insult me"

Lorelai: Lorelai reached out to take CC’s hand only she didn’t hold it or entwine their fingers, she began to play with her fingertips. “I’m sorry Ana. I didn’t mean to worry you. I just… Felt sick.” She didn’t want to think about it and so didn’t go into the details, she knew CC would be able to put two and two together so it didn’t need spelling out for her.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Were you sick because you enjoyed it?" She asked to probe her.

Lorelai: She just shook her head, unable or unwilling to look into CC’s eyes as she was of ashamed of her behaviour.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Lorelai, what's wrong? Why won't you ******* talk to me?"

Lorelai: “I still feel sick,” she admitted with a sigh. “Can we talk about it later?” she asked hoping that some time between what she’d done and the analysis of it would allow her to reflect upon it without making her feel quite so bad.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mm Hm. You want to go to bed? Lie down?"

Lorelai: She shook her head again. “Can we watch the end of the movie?” she asked, her eyes briefly looking into CC’s before she looked back at the fingers she was still playing with.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Of course." She said, nodding. "So long as you're ok, you're sure?"

Lorelai: Lorelai picked up CC’s hand and brought it to her cheek, holding the back of her cool flesh against her warm cheek. She closed her eyes for a moment as she enjoyed the sensation of it all. “I’ll be okay Ana. I just… I might be hungry again later,” she admitted sheepishly as she opened her eyes and kissed the back of CC’s hand.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "That's ok. There's plenty there." She smiled, looping her arm around 'ell's shoulders and drawing her back to the couch to sit down and snuggle together.

Lorelai: “I think,” she began as they walked to the front room, “that I ate all of the vegan food.” When they got back to the sofa, she took in a deep breath and then began sorting out the boxes, closing the lids as quickly as she could so that she wouldn’t have to take in the aroma of the food. For the sake of her stomach she needed to get the food as far away from her as possible.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, they deliver late, so we can always order something else later if you get hungry." CC sat herself down, curling her legs under herself and waited for 'ell to finish fussing with the boxes. Once she was done, CC drew her close, lying her up along her body to curl her in and wrap her up. Then, pushed play on the DVD

Lorelai: Once she was done Lorelai happily curled up with CC on the sofa to watch the end of the film. Despite the self-inflicted food poisoning, as that was how she perceived her sickness, it wasn’t a bad start to their first night together. As she lay wrapped up in CC’s arms, she smiled to herself and began to wonder if living with a vampire might always be this easy.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: Nothing else.... untoward happened as the film progressed in its soppy and convoluted manner. It really wasn't CC's sort of thing as she'd have rather seen explosions and blood and guts, bit of horror and suspense. Not this soppy claptrap.

Lorelai: Lorelai’s plan of not spoiling her mood through the movie didn’t go as plan due to the food she’d eaten but the film at least helped to settle her back down and push the incident to the back of her mind. As the credits began to play on the screen, she squeezed CC’s hand gently and without turning to look at her she asked; “Ana… Are you hungry?” In all the excitement she’d almost forgotten CC was yet to feed and the mere mention of it sped her heartbeat as feeding was as exciting for her as it was for her partner.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC was, but she shook her head after Lorelai having been ill and throwing up. "No no. It's fine. I'll be fine until tomorrow."

Lorelai: Lorelai turned slightly to face CC. “But you were hungry earlier. Did I do something to upset you?” she asked softly.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No" CC said firmly, looking down and stroking 'ell's hair. "You're not well enough to lose blood."

Lorelai: Lorelai considered this for a moment and then shook her head. “I’m fine. Honestly. I just shouldn’t have eaten… what I ate. I can stand to lose a little blood.” She smiled and the wriggled slightly so that she could get herself at the right angle to quickly peck CC on the lips.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mmmm" She purred softly, fingers tangling through the long, blonde locks as they kissed. "You're sure you want this?" She whispered, lips pressing kisses against her neck.

Lorelai: “Oh yes,” she whispered back. “I want you to be well fed.” She smiled and gently stroked the outline of CC’s face with her fingertips. “We can’t have you getting hungry and biting me while we sleep now can I.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She chuckled and nodded, kissing her softly and rolling her onto her back slowly as she climbed on top. "You up for something a little.... different tonight?"

Lorelai: The thoughts going through her mind were likely as far off the mark as was possible as to what CC meant by “different.” She wanted to ask what she meant but she also feared CC pulling away from her if she thought that Lorelai might not be amenable to whatever it was she had planned. “I’m happy to try something different.” It had taken her a moment to consider her reply but she was happy with it as she trusted CC not to do anything that would upset her.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC nodded her head and then kissed Lorelai properly, passionately on the lips as her fingers curled in the woman's dress, pulling it up around her waist to reveal her legs. Slowly, CC broke the kiss and made her way down Lorelai's body, kissing as she went. Fingers helped her legs part so she could settle herself between them, kissing her thighs. Then, with a little lift of her head, her eyes - that had turned shark like - found Lorelai's and her lips smirked. Holding eye contact, her smile parted and her fangs extended down. Lowering her head, still holding eye contact, her lips pressed to Lorelai's skin, parted and then her fangs sank deeply into the tender flesh to drink from her femoral artery.

Lorelai: She didn’t worry when CC gathered up her dress and the way in which she held her eyes only helped to make her heart race all the more. CC was effortlessly alluring, at least she was to Lorelai but there was no question in her mind as to whether or not this was real, as she’d never felt anything like it. Well it was different and yet still very much the same. The bite brought with it the usual spark of pain that quickly subsided into something very close to ecstasy as CC began to feed from her.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: As she fed, CC's nails ran over the tender flesh of Lorelai's thighs and around behind the back of her knees, teasing her and enjoying her taste, scent and feel. Though she had to admit, she was almost sure that Lorelai's scent was getting stronger the more she fed, and it was driving her wild.

Lorelai: Lorelai responded in the same way anyone would when being teased by someone they loved and reached down to run her hand through CC’s hair. As she lay captivated by the woman, she didn’t even begin to fear that CC might get carried away while feeding from her and drain her dry, though there was every chance that a vampire was capable of such a feat. Her eyes closed to enjoy the sensation before it was bound to end, she giggled softly and whispered CC’s name, or at least the name she knew her by. “Anastazja.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mmmm?" She mumbled, not willing to stop her slow and steady feeding - still making sure to keep track of just how much she was taking.

Lorelai: She adored the entire experience along with the woman that had her fangs in her and while CC may have expected more words to follow, none did. There were words that could have been spoken, words for feelings that Lorelai was just beginning to admit to herself were real but it didn’t seem entirely appropriate to utter them in that moment.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC felt like she was on cloud nine with the blood that was like a drug to her - so sweet and hedonistic. However, she'd taken all she should in one go and so reluctantly, she withdrew her fangs. Her lips and tongue swept and kissed over the surface of her skin, cleaning it and letting it smooth back together like a paper cut. Then slid her way up Lorelai's body, lying on top of her before kissing her fully on the lips.

Lorelai: “My angel,” she whispered breathily as CC moved to cover her body with her own. “Did you take enough?” Lorelai brushed CC’s cheek with the back of her fingertips, her hand loosely curled as she looked lovingly into her girlfriend’s eyes.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She nodded her head, glad that her eyes weren't freaking Lorelai out. "I did, yes. ******* amazing as always!"

Lorelai: She couldn’t help but laugh as for all CC’s charm she had a mouth on her. “So… You’re happy then?” she asked, obviously more worried about CC than herself. Lorelai had fallen hard for the woman and was so keen to please her that, that had become her primary goal.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Of course!" She said, looking at her incredulously. "Are you?"

Lorelai: “Very much so.” Her smile brightened and her heart raced just to be near the woman, it was impossible for her to feel anything but happy when she was around, even if that happiness was occasionally diminished by her own stupidity as it had been earlier. “If I could be anywhere in the world and with anyone I wished to choose right now, I would be right here with you.” Her cheeks flushed as she realised she may have lied in this statement and so quickly amended it. “Well…perhaps not right here.” She captured CC’s lips with her own and kissed her for as long as her mortal lungs would allow before she had to pull away to breathe.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC happily kissed her for as long as she wanted, but as she pulled away, she tilted her head curiously. "Where would you rather be babe?"

Lorelai: The colour deepened in her cheeks and she was unable to say the words so she just looked towards the bedroom in the hopes that CC might understand what she meant. It was their first night in their new place and she hoped that they had a long and happy future ahead of them but that didn’t mean to say that she didn’t have the same urges as everyone else.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC smirked, knowing exactly what she wanted but she wanted to hear it. "Sorry?"

Lorelai: Lorelai’s heart sank when CC didn’t seem to understand what she meant and she suddenly felt very self-conscious; so much so that she couldn’t hold her eye any longer.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC's hand moved and gently caressed Lorelai's cheek, smiling as she tried to get her to hold eye contact. "'Ell. Tell me?"

Lorelai: For someone who was pregnant, Lorelai was being awfully prudish and she knew it. This was perhaps in part to the fact that thinking of CC in a bedroom brought with it images she didn’t want but it was possibly more to do with the fact that she wasn’t sure CC got the same out it as she did, as CC had hinted that sex really didn’t do much for her and that’s why she could do her job. “I wanted to…” she broke off the sentence frustrated with herself.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC swallowed the chuckle that wanted to bubble out, and just waited silently, watching her.

Lorelai: She sighed, composed herself and then forced herself to look at CC. “I would prefer it if we were in our bedroom. But if you don’t… We don’t … We could just stay here.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I would love to" She said, taking the small victory and sealing it with a kiss. She slid off of Lorelai's body and held out her hand to her with a smile. "Coming?" And she couldn't help but laugh as she thought that she certainly would be, as soon as they were in their bedroom.

Lorelai: Not for the first time that night Lorelai felt stupid as CC seemed more than happy to retire to the bedroom. She reached out her hand to her and twined their fingers. The colour had gone from her cheeks but her heart still raced, ever excited by the alluring angel at her side.
