Re: Second raid for the month?
I made it aware that I had already won the raid, several times. This isn't an instance of someone lying or me not saying it. It was probably just missed in conversation.

I don't think anyone was saying that you had. I think it was more along the lines that people were suggesting a game dynamic that would tell them who had done what and when. So if they weren't in on convos and it was more an OOC team, then they'd be able to decide with all the info.

I like keeping elements of the game that allow characters to **** each other over without there being death.
Except that the raid win limit is an OOC mechanic, not an IC one. So if you deliberately get onto someone's team when you've won, you're being a dick to them OOC. It's not your character winblocking the other person's character. It's you winblocking that person - or their character. However you want to look at that part of it.
Either way, there's not some magical in character force that makes it so that a character can't win multiple team raids on top of each other. XD
I don't think?

Re: Second raid for the month?
None of my characters are in any way altruistic enough to take their share and then let someone else win in a month, so there must be some kind of force preventing it - otherwise the game mechanic makes no sense IC. Not all game mechanics need an RP explanation, but when Nix goes to try and attack something totally within the bounds of her character and just can't, then suspending disbelief on such a consistent basis doesn't really work.
I always saw it as the same type of spell that prevented summoning in raids. For stealth/hacking raids, you just can't find the item/file, but with battle raids your character can sit there and try to attack, but get nothing.

Re: Second raid for the month?
i just use a relatively small pool of people on my teams and i personally keep track of who has, and has not won, and divide them accordingly, but i also run in every raid, so it is easier to know who is in it and how far they got. and i discuss them with the people i run with between raids, to make sure all is copacetic

Re: Second raid for the month?
I knew someone on my team won, I forgot who. I still like the idea of the suggestion. I went into the raid double checking the rules - as this is beta and we're supposed to be doing this sort of thing. Madison is an awesome character and player, I would recommend them to anyone that needs a raid teammate. The reason I posted the other portion is to double check that it was due to Madison that I couldn't win the raid and not due to my alt that won a raid a day earlier. I have not included my PMs with Mooncalf in this forum as sometimes there are leads into bugs and exploits. The raid timer is not based on what month of the year it is. It is based on a 60 day timer. Mooncalf will update the wording to say so in the future. This is minor so it may take a while.

Re: Second raid for the month?
We've already had it clarified in a bug thread by him.
You could win a team raid on the 28th of Feb and then another on the 1st of March if there was one. This has been kinda tested, by people who won in April, winning again in May.

Re: Second raid for the month?
I'm simply relaying what was told to me by Mooncalf. We'll have to suss it out, I suppose, what is best for the game and then make sure everything is consistent.

Re: Second raid for the month?
>.> I think the way David spelled it out in the update is perfectly clear. Normally, a year is divided up into 12 months - 12 slices of potential raid wins. These clear on the first of the month. For team raids, the same thing applies except your year is sliced into 6 potential raid win segments.
Instead of monthly, it's bimonthly (which isn't a 60 day timer). It's JanuaryFebruary, MarchApril, MayJune, JulyAugust, SeptemberOctober, NovemberDecember - these work in the exact same way as do monthly raids. For team raids, you can win on Feb 27th AND March 2nd, but not March 30th and April 3rd. You can win May 25th AND July 1st, but not May 1st and June 29th. Etc.
Proof of concept:
05.11.14 Your team looted the building and each of you walked away with 52500 worth of treasures and valuables. You also gained 1750 experience points.
04.27.14 Your team looted the building and each of you walked away with 60000 worth of treasures and valuables. You also gained 2000 experience points.
