Brick: A sigh of relief had escaped his lungs when he heard the rumors of those around him that the boss of the building had been killed. His body ached in places he hadn't known existed and the only reason he had been able to keep going was due to the narcotics he kept injecting into his veins whenever he felt like his mind was slipping. Madison would surely shoot him if she ever found out that Brick was lying to her about his physical state and that he was on the needle but it wasn't like she ever came down from the higher floors to check on him or bothered to use her powers that would allow her to see past his lies. He was abusing the trust that was there and he knew it but he also knew how important it was to her that he collect items found in these buildings. When it was all said and done, he exited the Wickbridge skyscraper and took to the alleyways, making his way towards the transit so he could head to the clinic and get cleaned up. There was no way he could tome to the Den looking as he was.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC was frustrated as all hell with these damn buildings. She could kill the fuckers inside with ease, but sit her at a computer, show her the fae language or tell her to pick a lock and she went to pieces. Relying on others was not one of CC's strong points - in fact it wasn't a point at all. She relied on herself and only herself - it was the best way. She'd left the building as soon as she'd heard the whispers of the boss being dead - and she was pissed as hell. Standing in one of the nearby alleys, hidden in the shadows of a fire escape, she was fingering a hole in her abdomen where she'd been shot, when a human went past. She didn't recognise him, but he looked pretty hellish - smelt it too. There was just something..... off in his scent. She didn't care though, she just knew she had to replace the blood she'd lost. So she followed, looking for her moment to pounce.
Brick: The multiple burns from proximity mines across his body and the gunshot wound to his leg made his pace a slow one at best. The jeans and t-shirt he was wearing were torn, burnt and some of it felt like it had grafted onto the burned flesh beneath it. Every step he took caused a wheezing breath of pain. Brick debated stopping to inject the last of the methamphetamine concoction one of his buddies had made for him but decided against it. He didn't need to go bounding into the clinic like he was in tip-top shape and have them shove him into rehabilitation.
Sooner or later he was going to need to admit to Madison that he couldn't carry on like he had been or it was going to kill him. He was surprised that he hadn't heard from her yet, normally they both tomed to the Den afterward to take inventory of what they had found. Perhaps she hadn't made it back herself yet. Lost in his thoughts, trying to ignore the pain, the ginger-headed thrall took a wrong step and turned the ankle of his injured leg in a pothole in the pavement. A hiss escaped him as he hopped over to a dumpster to pause and steady himself.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: And there it was, her in. Smiling, she hurried over to his side in her stripper heels, letting them clip on the concrete with her hot pant clad hips wiggling. Luckily, this evening her halterneck covered her midriff where it didn't usually, so the bullet-wound wasn't obvious - especially not in this light. She flipped her hair over one shoulder as her fingers danced over his shoulders and neck, a silky purring voice slipping from her lips. "Looks like you're having some issues there? Mmmmm. Anything I can 'help' with?"
Brick: He heard the click of heels, his bright blue eyes darting to the side to see feminine feet clad in the cause of the sound. His eyes traveled up the length of the woman's bare legs, over her midriff and bosom until he finally reached her face. While she was dressed like a lot lizard, she didn't truly have the physique of ones he was used to. Her form was muscular but not in any way manly, unlike most of the prostitutes he saw wandering around which were mostly washed up and drugged out junkies. It shone in his eyes, even in his state, that he appreciated what he saw. If only he wasn't practically a husk at the moment, he might have taken her up on her offer.
"Probably not, unless you've got more of a magic touch than just gives pleasure," he responded to her question of 'help'.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She saw the look in his eyes and couldn't help but laugh internally at how easy it was to appeal to men. Her fingers teased across his cheek, down his neck and onto his shoulder as she stepped in really close to invade his personal space. Her legs were either side of his as she pressed his back to the dumpster with just her physical presence and confidence - though he could easily slip away if he wanted to. "Babe, my touch can take you to places you've never even dreamed of" She purred, eyes slipping from his to look at his neck while trying to ignore the state and smell of him.
Brick: His signature cocky grin started to spread across his lips as she trailed her fingers over his cheek but it was quickly lost when she pushed him back up against the dumpster. He hissed in pain as pressure came down on sensitive burnt flesh. "In the state I'm in, touching me is sadly the last thing I want you to do."
Brick caught the glance she gave his neck. He'd seen it enough times to recognize it for what it was. Great. Just what he needed. A vampire hooker trying to lure him in with sex. Why couldn't this stuff happen to him when he wasn't fried to a crisp!? He probably would have willingly let her bite him then. Instead, given his condition, he attempted to duck out of the position she had him in so the dumpster wasn't digging into his back. His lopsided grin was coming back as he looked at her and stated, "I don't think you want to do that either. This Ripper guy says I taste absolutely foul."
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She let him slip out of where she'd guided him, turning to watch with a smile. However, that smile quickly vanished when he mentioned how he tasted, as well as Ripper. She knew of him, had stabbed him even, so she knew he was a vampire. The problem was, this human knew he was a vampire too, and had now decided that she was one too. She let out a sigh, shaking her head sadly as she reached into the back of her hotpants and drew out a switchblade. Letting the blade swing free, she picked at some grime under her nails and cast him a glance. "You know, all I wanted was a few mouths full. I'd not have hurt you, and you'd have felt so happy afterwards. But - you know too much. Which means there's only one ******* way this can now go. And I'd be ******* lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to seeing you sliced and diced. I do take such pleasure in the blood. So, easy or hard? Your choice."
Brick: "You don't think I've been sliced and diced before?" Brick snickered as he reached for his own blade. He was hoping he could bluff his way through this, convince her that he wasn't worth her time and there would be consequences to any action against him. "I gave those tree-hugging hypocrites a run for their money when they gang-banged my *** to the hospital. I don't know too much, I know whatever it is my vampire wants me to know. Yeah..I belong to someone. And she's going to be right pissed if you touch a single ginger hair on my head or nick a freckle off my bod."
Madison: Not even a few blocks away, Madison was waiting impatiently for Brick at the tome in section of the Den. They had a routine. Raid ends, tome, count inventory, sell it, get bandaged up, continue on. This was the first time ever that he'd taken so long to get back to the Den. She'd already gone through everything she had and sold it, bought a few blood bags with the funds and then deposited the rest. Now she just needed Brick to stop taking his sweet *** time getting here. The man had five minutes before she started getting really irritated.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Awwww ******* look. The little human has a toothpick." She chuckled, closing the gap between them slowly. "Honey, I'm going to **** you up so much - there won't be any coming back from it. When I do ****,I ******* do it properly." And with that, she ran at him with celerity fueled steps and was around and behind him before he could blink. Her arm wrapped around his shoulders and she leant over his shoulder to his ear, purring. "This won't hurt a bit, but afterwards.... ******* right it will!" And her fangs pierced his skin without a breath to feed and regain the lost blood.
Brick: She had him in her grasp before he could even fully pull out his weapon. Adrenaline pumped through his system, body going into fight or flight mode and overcoming the amount of pain he was in. He had no option but to try and fight off the much stronger vampire. Struggled as he may, her fangs were in his neck but in this moment, it was his turn to laugh. While Brick knew this would leave him even weaker, the Sanguivore's Bane that he wore about his neck began to heat up against his chest where it lay beneath his shirt. The fancy little relic that Madison had given him had saved his *** more times than not. He knew what came next. She'd get a mouthful of poisonous blood that would cause her to bleed. Served the ***** right.
Madison: Two minutes had barely passed before Madison got irritated. Time and patience really weren't her forte. Reaching out to Brick with her mind, she spoke into it, "Where the hell are you!? Hurry up already!"
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: Her grip on him was firm and she wasn't going to give up her meal that easily. She finished her meal, feeling satiated and with no ill effects - totally unaware he had a relic on. She'd experienced the relic's work before, so she knew the taste and what it did - but there was nothing and she was oblivious to the fact he held one. Otherwise, she'd have tried to steal it from him for her own thrall Leo, or for her partner. Letting him go once she was done, she danced away from him, licking her lips. "Mmmmm. I do believe you were lying about Ripper. You were very tasty! And it's such a shame that I won't get to taste you again - but you know, needs must. So, defend yourself...." And she waited to see if he'd retrieve his weapon, or what he'd do - her own knife ready and poised and a grin on her face.

Re: Broken Brick (Cinnamon Cherrywhip)
--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Brick: His face was twisted into an unpleasant grimace. The stupid relic hadn't worked and now Madison was yelling in his head. He wished that he could respond back to her, tell her to summon him as soon as possible but the only thing he could do was bring his sword forward. It wobbled a bit in his grasp. The human thrall was light headed and dizzy. Brick was fighting as best he could to stay upright. It looked like his life depended on it.
Madison: Madison stared at her phone in her hands. Waiting for the expected text message to come through, telling her where he was. She glared at it as it sat in her palm and did nothing. The screen going blank after fifteen seconds. This was completely unlike Brick. He always returned her messages promptly. Either he was passed the **** out or something was very, very wrong.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "For ****'s sake. You could at least attempt to make it a shitting challenge!" she sighed as she watched him wobble with his sword. She didn't bother running, she simply walked right up to the end of his reach, taking into account the fact he could lunge and leaving a gap. "What do you want done with your body afterwards?" She asked cordially and very matter of factly. She didn't usually ask, she just killed and then carved - but this pathetic specimen..... well. For some reason she was asking, and she had to wonder if it was her partner's influence.
Brick: "Eat ****...and...die....*****," the words came out of Brick in wheezing gasps. He fought to hide the confusion setting in, to remain steady even though he now saw two of the female vampire in front of him. His vision wavered and he picked one of them, lunging forward in a sloppy motion. His blade shot out in front of him but waved and dipped, causing it to scrape across the ground instead of into her flesh. There had never been a time he'd been this out of sorts before. His body lurched forward, his feet stumbling over themselves and he fell to the concrete. Brick awaited the laughter that was sure to follow as he pushed up off the ground and moved to get away from her.
Madison: Enough was enough and Madison was going to find out what the hell was going on. Leaning up against the wall, she closed her eyes and concentrated on the connection that she had with her thrall. Her mind touched his and when she opened her eyes again, the ground floor of the Den was gone and instead she found herself staring at a woman she had never seen before. Her first instinct was that Brick was off getting himself laid but then she noticed the blade.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, you've got some spunk in ya!" CC said, stepping aside as he got up from his failed lunge. "Shame you'll never get to ******* use it!" Yes, she was crude, but with how she'd been brought up and her job - it was hardly surprising. She walked around him and leant in for a strike, aiming to nick him somewhere to try and get his gall to rise so she might actually get a decent fight out of him.
Brick: She circled him like a vulture circling a corpse, waiting for the appropriate time to swoop down. Brick tried to follow her movements so that his back was never turned to her. His whole world felt off, like someone had tilted the Earth and changed its axis beneath his feet. The woman lashed out with her blade and his sluggish reflexes had him pulling back after she had already cut into his arm, right above the inner part of his elbow. Blood slowly seeped forward. His heart was pounding in his chest, desperately trying to keep what little blood he had pumping through his veins. Again he lunged for one of the visions of her that he saw.
Madison: A hand clasped over her mouth as she saw the woman strike out at Brick before it fell to her side and balled up into a fist. Breaking the connection, the telepath blinked a few times before focusing her efforts on bringing Brick to her side by force of will. But nothing happened. Madison was tapped of all magical energies and she just didn't have it in her to do what needed to be done. Rushing forward, she ran to the faction elevator, swiped her keycard over the reader and repeatedly stabbed at the call button as though it would bring the lift to her faster.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She easily spun aside with her dancing skills as he lunged for her sluggishly. A smile danced on her lips as she hummed happily, lashing out at him again once, twice, three times with precision strokes as if she were painting a picture where he was her canvas and her blade was the brush. "Come on little man! Dance with me." she sang, giggling in a fairly unnerving way as her eyes changed, her emotions making her 'eyes of the beast' kick in. "Whenever you want this done babe - you just let me know and I'll end you!"
Brick: The blade bit into his flesh again and again. Pain racked his body from the cuts, nausea settled into his stomach as he was losing what little blood he had left. His balance wavered visibly and Brick stumbled, the sword dropping from his grasp with a clatter as it hit the ground. He tried his best to glare at the woman and spit out the words, "**** you, **** whore."
Madison: The elevator door finally opened and she rushed inside. Jabbing at the Depot floor button and then button that would shut the door. The lift jolted as it started to move and she found herself pacing the small space. Using powers that didn't cost her anything, she checked on Brick's status. He was badly injured and losing blood and energy rapidly. Panic started to set in and the moment the doors opened, Madison had a blade in her hand as she rushed forward to the counter where they stored blood bags. The knife bit into her flesh causing blood to spew forth. Blood that she used to summon spirits for her to devour. She only needed a few before she'd be able to summon Brick to safety.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You see.... that was ******* stupid!" She snarled after he'd called her names. Her free hand outstretched she ran at him and grabbed him by the neck, lifting him easily she slammed him against the wall of a building. "Goodbye dipshit! Any last words?" She brought her other hand up with the knife and held it to his side, digging it through his clothes to prick his skin, ready to be driven through his ribs and into his heart after he'd finished whatever he wanted to say.
Brick: She lifted him by the neck and he wheezed, struggling limply in her grasp. One of his hands gripped her wrist while the other tried to pry her fingers away from his throat to no avail. She had him in a death grip and he knew it. He knew there was no getting out of this one and while one part fought as viciously as his body would allow (which was quite a pathetic attempt) the other part welcomed the relief. He'd been through so much in the last year and his devotion to Madison had taken him down roads he'd never wished to walk. His life flashed before his eyes and the last image was of the blonde that had enthralled him and made him hers. He knew she would do whatever it took to avenge him. "She's going to kill you for this," he fought the words out of his restricted throat as she choked him.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Uh huh." She said simply, not caring who the 'she' was before she drove the thin knife so very precisely into his heart to snuff out his pathetic existence. Once dead, she dropped him to the ground and then started rummaging through his pockets and any bag he might have to see if there was anything of value on him. Waste not want not after all.
Brick: The knife slide between his ribs and into his heart with ease. A last gasp escaped from his mouth as his vision blurred and darkened. His eyes rolled back into his head and his hands fell limply to his sides as his heart ceased to beat.
Madison: She stood in a puddle of her own blood, more running down the length of her arm from where she had cut herself. It wasn't the first time her blood had stained these floors though the last time it wasn't of her own doing. Madison had what she needed now and without bothering to check on Brick, she focused her attention on drawing him to her. The power brought him to her just as his heart took its final beat and his body fell to the floor in a heap. Falling to her knees, Madison hurried to turn him onto his back. She couldn't hear his heart beating and immediately, almost frantically began performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She'd just found the relic around his neck and was about to take it when his body vanished beneath her. She blinked, looking at the space it had been in and then frowned, mumbling. "Well..... that's ******* new!" She'd never had a body 'poof' on her before and she was totally puzzled. However, it meant less clean up and chance of discovery, so she figured vanishing bodies were definitely the way forwards. If only she knew how she'd done it so she could repeat it! Standing up, she noticed his sword on the ground where he'd dropped it and picked it up, planning to examine it more closely in better light. Then went on her way, humming happily and without a care in the world and a new sword to boot. Tonight was a good night.
Brick: His face was twisted into an unpleasant grimace. The stupid relic hadn't worked and now Madison was yelling in his head.
