She knew she had gotten caught up in her own crap again and that Enver would be pissed off with her again. A sigh came out of her as the calendar she had stumbled upon showed clearly that she had been buried in the basement of the swamp for close to a month.

Sure there were excuses for it. She had gotten caught up experimenting with creatures and had been making gifts for the whole family. But beneath the excuses ******** was that she had finally read the last few journals and even now she felt stupid. She should have just burned the damned things, but she had been curious to see if they would match up with the earlier versions that had made her sound like emo girl.

Instead they had been worse. Not only had she been a ******* emotastic whiner. No now she knew who she had been in love with. Jareth. The name itself didn't bring even a twinge now, but had evidently been cause to write down a million times in one of the buried journals. She had contacted that guy once through text, but hadn't gotten a reply. Then two weeks ago she had found him, at her back door hanging out with some chick. Clearly he had moved on and she was just the idiot who had thought she could get some answers or whatever.

But had that been the least of it? No, instead she had found that she had broken her back to help out the so called family she had been made into and gotten jack nothing. Explained why Habren had never met up with her. The rest after her writing down about the new family and the fortress, was all babble. Literally written by her in such bad moods that she couldn't even read it.

She had thought about going through the list of people and trying to make up or talk or something, but decided that probably like Jareth they had all moved on. But the ones who hadn't were those in front of her. She knew she was a loner and didn't handle most confrontations well, so it didn't take a rocket scientist to explain that she had fracked up most the relationships she had had. But did that mean she couldn't try to fix those that were still around..starting with Enver.

Muttering to herself about not giving excuses and just being straight about why she had been hiding out, she made her way to the theater. A half smile on her face at the sight of it. She had hung out here a few days prior trying to find him, but had lucked out. Maybe today would be different.

Passing inside, she went to the hidden stairway that led to the family area and walked up. Her mind so focused on what she would say to him, that she didn't hear the voices coming from the upstairs door. Still on auto pilot, she opened the door and then kind of stuttered to a halt. She saw Keara first, and gave her a half smile, about to say something about how lucky she was to catch them here, when the rest of the people and the smells caught her attention. There was Enver, some chick she didn't know, and the smells of food, which were making her stomach twist, clearly came from the kitchen area.

Evidently he was having a party and she hadn't known. Course she had been gone and it wasn't like she demanded he keep her appraised of everything he did. But cooking to her implied cozy and homelike, which made her think that it was family something, maybe with Keara's family. And she was intruding. Great. Feeling more then a bit awkward, she tried to hide everything going through her mind as she stuttered out some words and figured she'd make a mad run for it after telling Enver she'd catch up with him later.

" Uh..hi. Guess I'm intrudin and all that. Sorry. I just came by to chat with ya Enver, but ya clearly busy. So I'll come back later.."

She nodded and mixed up the fresh lime juice and soda water, dropping a couple of ice cubes into it and then turning back to hand it to Every.

"I don't have any coffee brewing right now dear, but you given me two shakes of a lamb's tail and I'll put some..."

Her voice trailed off as suddenly there was a flurry of movement and an incessant yapping of one of those stupid 'fashion dogs'. Living in LA, she was more than used to seeing these idiotic dogs and having to deal with them - but there was no way she'd ever have one. No, she much preferred a proper dog that would scare the bejeesus out of someone if they looked at her wrong. However, it was obviously Enver's rat so she just smiled and walked over to it, cooing and smiling, reaching out to pet it. But when it growled and shrank back, she just gave it a look of distaste.

A loud shout of 'no' made her start, her right hand going to the left side of her chest as she looked around to see who had arrived now..... and just stared. A woman in what she could only describe as bondage had just walked in, and was making her way as if she had a right to be here. She caught the wink between Enver and the.... apparition and her heart sank. THIS was the someone special he was currently dating and wanted her to meet? Well, that wouldn't do. Not at all. She couldn't have her precious son with some.... fetish freak. And her fears were only confirmed as he moved to her side and handed her the rat. Well, this was going to be a challenge, that was for sure. Breaking them up. But she'd do it. Or die trying. Literally.

"Keara was it? It's such a pleasure to meet you! And how is it you and my son are.... acquainted dear?"

Emilee enthused, as she closed the distance between them, smiling down at Keara, looking her in the eyes. However, before she got an answer, a child came walking on in with hair like rat's tails and more.... interesting dress sense. She smiled though and nodded to her, looking around Keara.

"Yes. I'm afraid this is a family function and the cinema isn't open tonight. So whatever work issues you may have, will have to wait."

She smiled kindly, but her tone was firm and dismissive - as she'd taken the girl to be one of Enver's employees. With her dismissed, Emilee turned back to Keara and smiled, looking for her answer as she hugged her tight and forgot that Enver had asked her a question about why the cinema was closed.

Keara nodded to both women as they were introduced and then frowned at Enver when he introduced her as one of his guests. Guest was not a word she'd of attributed to herself as they pretty much shared everything these days meaning that the theatre was also hers and that the other two ladies were their guests. She bit her tongue however and made a mental note to address this issue with him later when they were alone and she could throw stuff and/or stab him.

It was while she was musing over what she'd do when River walked in, something that made Keara roll her eyes. This night was getting better and better. Obviously she'd let herself in too, meddling once more no doubt. Another harsh glance was cast in Enver's direction as she pulled her puppy from his arms, half blaming him for the intrusion. Keara had to wonder to herself if Enver had in fact invited River in the hopes of easing the tension between them, tension that was likely only on Keara's side.

Ignoring the woman Enver called sire, Keara was suddenly taken aback when Emilee's arms wrapped around her. She couldn't help what happened next as it was mainly instinct on her part and in all truth it could have been a lot worse. She shrugged out of Emilee's grasp and pushed the woman away from her with her pup free hand.

"Touch me not. Like I do not for touched to be by those that know I do not."

Keara was trying her best to keep calm and while she was worried she may have hurt or offended the woman, she couldn't help but consider the whole fiasco to be Enver's fault. If he'd of told his mortal mother about her, she'd of known not to approach her like that. As it was the woman didn't even know how they were related. In all the chaos, Keara hadn’t even managed to extend a proper greeting to Every, something she would have to address as and when she could appropriately do so, as she had actually been looking forward to chatting to the elusive cousin.

Great. River showed up at the most inconvenient of times. It wasn't that he minded seeing her, but this was going to turn in to a cluster for a few reasons. One, he couldn't exactly explain who she was or how she was 'family' to Enver now. Two, his wife had pushed Emilee away from her, not that he expected a different reaction in truth. However, Emilee would probably make a great big deal about it.

Fragile creatures, remember? Enver thought to his wife as he looked around the room and noticed how two women turned to three and that was never a good thing in his mind. Not when he was the only male in the room. "She doesn't work for the theatre, or have anything to do with it. Only Keara and I do." Enver started out by clarifying that River wasn't some random person who found their way up here on her own accord for whatever reason. "Her name is River." He added in before he looked at his wife and then at his mom, ignoring Every for the time being. She was the least of his concerns as she appeared to be the most collected of the individuals in the room. With River, one couldn't tell how the night would go and with Keara pushing his mom, who was an old lady too, things just didn't seem like they were going to end up good. Every didn't want to be here, just like him, which meant she wasn't going to go out of the way (in his eyes) to make too many scenes or commotions.

"Are you okay?" Enver asked Emilee as soon as he more or less let her know River could be in here. Since he didn't chase her away or anything. "Might have some ice in the freezer-" Enver trailed off, not knowing how bad his mom was, due to Keara's push. He didn't suspect she would be overly rough with the woman, but she was, by far, the strongest person in the room and sometimes things happened.

She was not comfortable. That was probably one of the most repeated thought in her head, or at least, she felt a little outnumbered. She liked familiarity, if she had to be honest. Usually, she had a friend with her and as she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket, Every removed the device and checked a message from her sire saying that she’d be needed when free. ‘Will be there when I can.’ The shadow listened to Emilee’s heartbeat, quietly thinking about the factor of fragile humanity before her hazel eyes simply looked over River in with silence.

Every knew her strictly from the times that she’d broken into the Eyrie, stole their security and had died for it. Carefully moving around the group when Enver had mentioned ice, she lifted her hand with a light tick indicating that she had heard. “I’ll go check.” In reality, as she didn’t get anyone time to protest or encourage the mention, she headed out into the kitchen. Taking the time to use it to pretend to drink some of the liquid from her glass, she poured a decent amount into the sink before setting it down to “forget” and collected a few pieces of ice, wrapping it up for a just in case action.

At least she wasn’t the only one that disliked being touched. “She does that, it’s not really my favorite thing in the world either.” Every had her reasons and offered a small smile to the elder before she checked her phone once more, setting up an alarm to when she had to return to the Eyrie to go help Micah with whatever would be needed. “So, how is everyone’s evening going up to this point?” She questioned, deciding a change of subject may be best.
