Knyte smiled as they walked together arm in arm. He couldn't take his eyes off Corin the entire walk. He listened to her as they rambled back and forth about their day. When they arrived to the club, he stayed quiet and watched her lead. He smiled and shook hands as he needed. He would not embarrass her. Lord, what if Rooke showed up? He sighed and squeezed her hand as she took his. "Nice place." He leaned over and whispered into her ear. She hadn't seen anyone yet. He could tell my her body language. He hoped that people she knew and liked would show up soon. He didn't want her sad or hurt. He wanted to keep her happy. He smiled as Rooke spoke to him. "You ******* sap, you love her." Rooke meant it as an insult but all Knyte could see it as was a compliment.Corin Diechi wrote:Corin smiles at Knyte and takes his arm. "Dark Eden and we can take my car if you want though I love walking and it is not that far to a transit then the club." She walks with him the night air making her hair blow around her face and behind her. Soon they make it to Dark Eden and Corin speaks to the door man. "I am Corin Diechi and this is my date. I have an invite for the party tonight." She shows the invite to the door man and then they go inside. She looks around to see if anyone is there yet that she knows. Not seeing anyone just yet she holds Knyte's hand.

Distractions. They always managed to creep up on Shamus one way or another. Sometimes for the better, often times that was not the case. He was undecided what the current one would be as he browsed a moderate selection of goods that the peddler had on the cart. Most of the things were not very unique, no matter how the salesman tried to make it sound. "One of a kind," the words danced at the back of his mind. The vase was nice, but the price... It was like they thought he was rich or something. He shook his head a bit, before moving on. Clearly they did not know they were dealing with a poor man, even though he thought the suit would have conveyed that as it wasn't that formal.
As he moved away, Shamus could hear a faint tick. A frown slowly settled in as he reached into a pocket to pull out his watch. It was strange just how late he was, it never occurred to him just how much time was passing. He was lucky that his watch was there to remind him of such a thing. With a gentle pat to the watch, he stored it away carefully and took longer strides to quicken his pace. There was a place to be after all.
With the goal set in his mind and the drive to be there, he made it outside of Dark Eden in no time. As his hand reached for the door to open it, Shamus found himself stopping short. He had just arrived to Scorpia's party and did not even bring a gift at all. He shook his head, before rolling it around in a circle. He was not one to settle for such a rude thing, he would have to venture out and get her something. As his mind plagued him on what to get her, his eyes rested on her motorcycle. A quirk of a grin took hold of his features, but only formed on the right side. He knew exactly what to do.
Lovingly, his hand moved over the bike, admiring the grace that it had. It would be a real shame that he would have to do this, but he knew Scorpia would understand. In fact, she would probably even appreciate Shamus somewhat for it. It would give her something to do. His head tilted off to the side as he scratched his chin thinking on it more. No. She would try to stab him because of it. He threw his head backwards and began to bark with laughter. Minutes after he calmed himself, he broke the side mirror off of the motorcycle and tore off the brake line. The grin began to form again as he scribbled out a note and tied it to the side mirror with the brake line before throwing it through a window in club.

With a nod of approval, Shamus turned to go into the alley that hid the back exit. It seemed to be a pain to go through the front door right now with all the ongoing. His mind stretched out to Elizabeth as he began to finally make his entrance, "So, anything interesting happening?"With Love

Re: Party like a rock star! (Sangue and DC )
As she made her way to where Elizabeth was, Temperance's ears and mind ran with a familiar tune. She paused in a graceful step; looked left than right and spotted a gleaming, bubbly allurist. Temperance smiled and thought hard. She wanted to speak back to her. She desired to speak back to her. She wished it. Concentrating hard on the words that would leave her lips in a whisper and push the smooth sound of her vocals into the woman's mind. Temperance hoped that it was not another standing in between the crowd that would receive the message, as it had been some time since she even attempted the push of words across thin air.*Hello, Tempy! Long time no see. I hope we can get a chance to catch up a little before you leave.*
"My apologies for being gone so long, lovely." She grinned and waved to the women. "We need to catch up soon!" Her tone was soft, sensual, and with sincerity. A warmth she was able to portray for once.
Temperance embraced Elizatbeth with a genuine squeeze of her own. In that tight hug she felt a slight lift of spirit, a liveliness. Temperance smiled back at the women. Her palms rest gently against Elizabeth's shoulder blades. "Tis lovely to see you as well and quite beautiful I might add." The allurist smiled lovingly. In a small way, a feeling of abandonment had crept it's way into her soul. She missed Liz without even know she had. "Mhm, best dressed but not the life of the party." The allurist winked than giggled a bit and turned in the same fashion as Elizabeth had. Arm in arm the two made way towards the bar."I am most pleased you decided to come out this evening. You look, lovely, as always." It was at this time Elizabeth spotted Scorpia from the corner of her eyes and a small laugh escaped her lips. "Even if we may be perhaps a tad bit overdressed."
"Hrm, I have not. What is it?" The mention of a Tulip, type of flower, got her thinking, "How is the flower shop and garden in DC? I've yet to wander towards to top floors due to my inability to navigate. Seems I have forgotten much as I was away. ""Have you tried a Golden Tulip?"

Corin held onto Knyte's hand and smiled at him. Looking around she saw her grandsire and others of her family. She waved her hand and smiled before walking over with Knyte. She let go of Knyte's hand and hugged first Tempy whome she had not seen in forever and then her grandsire. She did not say a word but walked back over to Knyte and leaned her head on his shoulder.

Jessica looked around, feeling fully out of place surrounded by these who were apparently her blood. Her family. She wasn't like them. Her thoughts still wandered to her brother in New Orleans, to the errant thoughts of vengeance for a neglectful childhood that she had to banish, often.
She couldn't let her thoughts show. They couldn't be discovered. She couldn't. They couldn't.
Quit it, she scolded herself. You'll only attract the attention of a telepath if you let these thoughts run wild. Just relax and let the party be yours. Perform. And so she did, sauntering towards the bar and offering a smile for the others present there.
"Can I get...well, what I can drink?" she said, turning the full force of her best smile onto the bartender, fully ignoring the fact that this was a place where her kind and what she once was mingled, mixed, met. She honestly didn't want to care right now. This was a night to get away from the chaos her mind and apartment were, to escape the dark and dank quarantine, to dress up and have fun.
And she would. Without makeup, with killer heels, and with a smile on her face.

Knyte offered his hand to the two in the form of a handshake as he smiled. He then went back to holding Corin's hand and keeping her both company and happy. He turned and kissed the top of her head as he started moving to the music. He swayed to the music and waited patiently to be introduced to the people he had just met. Corin seemed happy with showing him off. He thought it was cute. She was cute. He used his thumb to caress the skin on her hand that he held. He leaned over and whispered to her. "What's the party for?"Corin Diechi wrote:Corin held onto Knyte's hand and smiled at him. Looking around she saw her grandsire and others of her family. "Yeah, my fault on that. I've been in and out a lot lately." Secretly of course he'd been avoiding running into the happy couple, even on crownet and had been trying futilely to get Elizabeth out of his system. So far it hadn't worked, and he had hated feeling he was doing something wrong by avoiding the family that had helped him so much. Slowly he was trying to come back to local events with his DC family and even with his sangue family.
Grinning at her attempts to sooth him, he tugged her hair and leaned back against the chair. "Sure a game of Pool sounds good." He might of said more, but he caught a glimpse of Tempy and waved at her, having not seen the woman around in ages.
Seeing where she ended up, he stood up a bit fast and smiled at Alex. "I'll go set up the table." Heading off, he wondered if maybe he had been a bit to presumptious to assume he could pull off his usual Mr. Cool here.

Re: Party like a rock star! (Sangue and DC )
Iris was rather pleased with herself as the water landed spot on both females. Obviously that was the ticket because now they both wore the shock of the dousing on their faces. A light smile of approval of her own rather extreme action spread slowly across her full and unpainted lips. She gave a single nod of a job well done even if it was choreographed by her own hand. Sometimes that was all it took. A foot forward and a hand taking the matter into control and setting things back into its place. Yes. She was pretty sure her work was done and now the two women would behave as they should. That is when Jenn rose to her feet and gave her a verbal appraisal of her finer points as if it was something to be ashamed of. Iris' chin lifted as the words rolled from the red headed female that was one of her closest friends. She was hardly insulted. It really was nothing she had not heard before. What was a bit concerning as the females voice continued on was the look in Jenn's eyes. That was new.
There was a linebacker in Jennifer Hayes. Iris missed that memo and now was on the receiving end of the warm female pouncing her like everything was riding on sending her and the numerous layers of Victorian finery back down the stairs from where she came from. A lady she was but also ready to give back as good as she was given. Her pale hands grabbed the fiery red locks that landed in her face and she took hold ready to gain ground and make a living broom out of the woman if she didn't settle down.
"Jennifer Hayes!" Iris raised her voice as if it should make all the difference in the world. "What in the world has gotten into you?!"
A slip of her hold on the hair gave her a firm reminder why one is not wise to let go of a mad red head. A curled up fist greeted her right corn-flower blue orb and had her wondering if her eyeball was actually knocked out of socket. She grabbed a hold of the woman and was ready to set her straight when she caught sight of her sire returning to the fight and she was not empty handed. Her right eye was throbbing beneath the swelling lid and her left eye was increasing in size as she tried to process what she had walked in on. Both had clearly lost their minds. Zodiac was fuming mad and her message was received loud and clear. Unfortunately it was not the end of it. Iris felt the point sinking into her heavily material layered thighs as she began giving a demonstration on technique in broom swinging that Iris had yet to learn.
"Stop it!" Iris scrambled to gain her skirting and get some distance on hands and knees before standing. "You two are out of hand!"
Iris was down to one eye open and her hat seriously misshapen. She attempted to straighten it back on top of her head but was left with the bent plume in her hand instead. Her left eye narrowed and she clenched her jaws tight.

Re: Party like a rock star! (Sangue and DC )
Mentally, she cackled. How stereotypical was that, but she did it anyway. It had been awhile since she simply 'let go' but the blonde and the red head made perfect targets. Iris conducted herself, as always, like a lady. Prim, proper, and to the point, which was why Jennifer was kicking her *** in the process. Jenn was a brawler, just as Zodiac could be when needed. Considering some of the clients that have walked through the doors of the shop, they both had to be. It was Eliza Doolittle ~vs~ Xena the Warrior Princess. She could not let this go on, sadly as entertaining as it could be, so 'Malificent' had to take a hand now.
"OKAY! ENOUGH!" her thoughts screamed. Jennifer flinched and she knew Iris was so tuned to her that she could not claim ignorance. She stood there panting, still clutching the besor tightly in her hands.
"Damn! Not so loud!" Jennifer whined as she held the sides of her head. Zodiac watched Iris trying to rearrange the plume in her hat and tried not to laugh.
"Now, thanks to the both of you," she glanced at her watch. "I am very late for this party."
"Huh?" Jennifer gasped. "But you..."
"Don't correct me, girl. Momma Zo is never wrong. Learn it, live it, love it and the rest of your life will go so much easier." she wagged a finger at the both of them. "So, since SO much time was wasted here, I suggest we get going. Like now! Forward, MARCH!" she poked both of her girls with the broomstick now as she herded them along in front of her to the door. She grabbed her purse as she passed and followed them down.
***
Eliza and Xena entered the club looking like they had just got out of a street fight. Behind them came Malificent, still armed with her broom.
"Now," Zodiac caught them both by the shoulder from behind and smiled between them. "We all gonna kiss and make up and have some fun-right?" she eyed them both with her best no nonsense look. "As for me, I am going to enjoy several dangerous drinks."
She draped the broom back over her shoulder as she approached the bar and took a seat. She would look around to see who was here in a moment but now her attentions was on the barkeep. "Make it a double!" she asked.

Re: Party like a rock star! (Sangue and DC )
Much went down in a matter of minutes. First, a loud noise, sounding like that of a window being broken was heard, followed by some sort of mirror that went rolling across the bar and to the floor. From the window it came through, when Elizabeth inspected how such a phenomenon might have happened. Her husband came walking in, as Temperance offered Elizabeth a compliment and went on to inquire about the drink she spoke of. "It is a drink, named after yours truly." Elizabeth's blue hues lit up as she spoke of it. "Scorpia and Wolfgang did me the honour; though the name for it might as well have came from Shamus himself." The woman's thoughts moved from the topic for a moment to reply to her husband's thoughts.
That depends. If mirrors flying through windows constitutes as interesting, then yes. However, what I find interesting is the extremes some go through to avoid others. Her eyes moved to Kayden, who Elizabeth noticed moved away from the bar as she came approaching it with Temperance. "The drink is the colour of gold, and sweet. I think you would like it. If you wish to try one, I would be more than happy to buy you one. Do let me know if it tastes as nice as I imagine it to be?" With that Elizabeth turned her attention to the room's entirety to see who was all here, who was playing nice with others and who needed a gentle prod towards being social.

Why are you taking me through troubled waters, I asked? Because your enemies cannot swim, he replied.
