She smiled and nodded as the drink was refused, then stepped over the arm of the couch and slid back down into place. She gripped the edge of the blanket and pulled it up and over herself, letting a shiver run through her at the feel of the soft blanket on her bare skin. She pulled it up and around her until she seemed to just be a heap of blanket with a head sticking out of it, her feet curled up against her bm and knees up under chin. She stayed like that all night, just watching the girl sleeping as she tried to work out why she, CC, was acting so strangely around her. Then, there was the fact that bitchface still hadn't texted her back yet - and she was going to give it to her hard the next time she did see her!
Hours she sat there, watching and listening to the girl - glad she didn't have a heart as her name was suddenly screamed, because if she had had one.... it would have been having a heart attack right about then! There were all manner of.... noises and mumblings coming from the girl, and CC even caught herself smiling fondly once or twice. The only thing she could think of, was that she'd been bewitched, just as she'd bewitched the girl. Some, sorcerer power had been used on her that she didn't know about.
Night turned into day, and she could feel herself getting more and more tired. When she couldn't stay awake any longer, she slid her bum down on the couch and vanished under the blanket, falling asleep and worrying the entire time about what would happen while she slept, and if the girl would be gone by the time she vanished and 'appeared' in the bed - as the bed was positioned over the spot she'd been turned in. She'd gotten sick of waking up on the floor, so had rearranged the room so that she woke up in bed. It was too late now though - she'd just have to deal with it when it happened.

Re: What do you think you're doing? (Lorelai/Silks staff)
Dawn came and as she woke to find CC asleep, her hands went to her neck to explore the wound or rather lack thereof from where she'd been bitten. She hadn't wanted to react to it the night before and in part she was perhaps checking to see if CC had fed upon her in the night while she slept. Despite being in a strange place, she felt quite at ease and not knowing if vampires were light of heavy sleepers, she attempted to dress in bed, keeping the sheet over her. Throwing back the covers, she squirmed from the bed and began (what was by now a routine set of actions) began tugging at and re-arranging the outfit that barely covered her.
I should leave. They are nocturnal. She likely will not be awake until much, much later. But I promised her. What did I promise her? I promised to stay until she woke. I think? I shouldn't have agreed to that.
Lorelai walked over to where CC slept, noting that she looked incredibly human...if not a little corpse like. At that thought a shiver ran down her spine.
She must trust me. I could kill her. Right now I could find something and end her life. Not that I'd ever do that to her. Or anyone. But she couldn't have known that for sure. Could she? Maybe. She seems smart.
When the building started to come alive and the ambient noises started up once more, she found the nerve to switch on the television that at first displayed the CCTV footage. She'd had to click around a bit and press a few buttons but eventually she found something to watch. She'd of been happier reading a book or making something but she had nothing with her to pass the time, so television was the only entertainment option she had. She still wasn't entirely comfortable watching the thing, not because of what was on, but rather because it didn't really hold her interest.
Lorelai found herself travelling between the racks of clothing and the desk, watching television and looking at the array of unusual outfits that filled the racks. A couple of times, she'd heard someone approaching the office and found herself running to sit down on one side of the desk as if she hadn't been paying any attention to her surroundings. She doubted they would mind if she were but she was a little embarrassed to just be hanging around waiting for CC.

Her stomach growled. She'd been seated on the bed for quite some time taking in the sights and smells of the room. With CC unconscious she'd had a chance to look at the things that lay in plain sight. She wasn't the sort to go through people's belongings but she was curious and so it couldn't hurt to just look at what could be seen. Not finding anything of substance in the room she tiptoed out to the office, her moccasins shuffling along the floor as she wondered if anyone else was in the building. Finding the fish and chips from last night she pushed the fish aside and began eating the cold mass of soggy potato.***
She'd been bored and so had washed out her clothes once more. This time she didn't have someone waiting in the other room and so had managed to get the bulk of the stains out with a little elbow grease and perseverance. Once they were as clean as she could get them she had hung them over the door using one of CC's free hangers from the rack in the corner of the room. Lorelai hoped that they would be dry by later that evening. When the building started to come alive and the ambient noises started up once more, she found the nerve to switch on the television that at first displayed the CCTV footage. She'd been hit on by a couple of the staff, offered drinks and snacks and had occasionally accepted them. They all seemed friendly to her as she hadn't realised what their true intentions were, but the moment she mentioned waiting for CC they all pretty much disappeared. Watching the time, she realised that sunset wasn't far off and so slipped into her now dry outfit, switched off the television and went back to CC's room. Lorelai didn't want to worry CC by not being there when she woke and so sat herself on the edge bed. As she watched her, she saw her fade out, only to fade in behind her in the bed. It was odd, and had startled her for a moment but CC didn't seem in pain and hadn't woken, so Lorelai couldn't see whatever it was as a bad thing. She threw the covers over her, allowing her fried to maintain some modesty if she wanted it or not and then lay down on the bed next to CC. She hadn't planned on falling asleep but after a long day of doing nothing she was oddly tired and so had dozed off.I A R N U U O C O N

Re: What do you think you're doing? (Lorelai/Silks staff)
CC woke up in the bed and sighed. She had no idea why it happened and Pru had basically just said to her 'it could be worse' and then made it all about her. But when you're trying to get to the top floor of the buildings they raided and couldn't complete it in one day - waking up here and having to start it all over again was more than just a pain in the ***! The sigh she'd taken had brought in Lorelai's scent from the night before and her eyes closed with a full body shiver. It was still so strong, so heady, so intoxicating - it was like she was still there! CC rolled over, and got stuck on something. Her leg slid out sideways to see what was there and it found another leg! Her eyes shot open and looked around, finally landing on the peacefully sleeping face of Lorelai. The girl seemed to be snuggled into her side and CC had wrapped an arm around her and drawn her in close.
She lay there quietly, looking down at the girl and unable to stop herself from smiling in what could only have been described as a happy manner. Waking up like this, with someone who hadn't paid to be there, was lovely - there was no denying it. To see her lying there, unprotected, vulnerable, beautiful, peaceful, it was a wonderful sight. Her free hand lifted and gently caressed Lorelai's cheek, sweeping her hair aside and off her face, neck and shoulder. She seemed a lot more peaceful now than she had done as she'd slept last night, and she couldn't help but wonder what had been going through the girl's mind that had made her make the noises she had.
She did nothing more than just lie there, caressing the woman's face and watching her. She was tempted to do more, but she held back and controlled herself while she tried to work out what it was that had been going on last night. There were feelings there for the girl where she was actually.... attracted to her. This was a surprise, because she usually kept herself isolated from such things. You had to in her line of work. Yes, people could be attractive physically, but they were usually assholes to go along with it in her experience. The things the girl had said, about being peaceful and non violent - they were so different to what she was and believed. Then, she was so fragile, so human, so weak - there was something unbelievably alluring about that. It drew CC to her, strangely, and made her want to be there and to protect her, much as she'd felt with Zo before the woman had run off for whatever reason.
She honestly didn't understand what she was feeling and thinking, because it was completely different to how she was usually. It confused her and frightened her, if she was honest, and she wondered what the girl was thinking and feeling herself!

Re: What do you think you're doing? (Lorelai/Silks staff)
--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Lorelai: She could feel someone lightly stroking her face and so her eyes fluttered open. She blinked a few times, a little groggy from her nap and then smiled at CC before stretching herself out. "Did you sleep well?"
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC smiled further as the girl woke and looked at her with a smile of her own. She nodded her head, removing her hand from the girls cheek as she did. "Yes, thanks. Yourself? How was your day?"
Lorelai: “It was…strange. You don’t have a lot to eat around here and I wasn’t sure if I left, if I’d be allowed back in again. I watched a little television. Cleaned my dress,” she pulled at the dress she wore as if drawing attention to her outfit. “Then I waited for you to wake up. I wasn’t sure how long you would sleep but I promised I’d stay didn’t I. I don’t break my promises. Even to people I’ve just met.” Lorelai reached out and took a hold of CC’s hand. “Are you always so cold?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC looked down at the hand in hers and let her thumb play over the back of it gently and nodded her head. "Yes. If I have a human client, I normally soak in a boiling bath and drink boiling water to warm me up. And, they all think I have bad circulation too. And your dress looks ok, doesn't smell as bad now either. I'm sorry there's no food. You want to... no, never mind."
Lorelai: “This is going to sound like a stupid question I’m sure…but…what do you do?” Lorelai manoeuvred herself and rolled onto her side so that she could look into CC’s eyes as they spoke. The bed itself was quite comfortable and so it was a nice place to have a conversation; the setting reminding her of all the times she would have sleep overs with her friends and cousins when she was younger.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC retrieved her arm from under the girl and put her head on her hand, elbow on the bed and blinked, looking at her curiously. "You..... can't tell?"
Lorelai: “I grew up in a small community CC. We live a very simple life. We grow our own food, we share chores, we work together. My family didn’t even own a television. My father said they were not productive and therefore had no place in our home. I have never seen many of the things you have in this room. Of course I recognise the bed and the little fridge.” Lorelai was starting to wonder if she should have kept quiet and tried to research the items at the library or online but that would have been difficult since she had no name by which to search them.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Ummmm. Ok. Well." ****. Should she tell the truth, or should she lie? She wasn't ashamed of what she did, not in the slightest. In fact, she was proud of her skills and the money she could make. But, a girl like this could easily be scared away by her job. After a moment of silence, she plumped for the truth and decided to take her chances. "Downstairs is a bar and erotic dancing club" She only hoped she'd know what that meant. "Upstairs, here, we offer extras to our clients. Where basically - we sleep with them for money and make their fantasies a reality."
Lorelai: Lorelai’s face flushed with colour as CC explained what really went on in Silks. She’d known from the outside of the building that it was a place she wanted to avoid as she’d been told to avoid places with neon lighting and long queues as they were quite likely dens of iniquity. “And you do that? I thought you owned this place. So you don’t have to do those things…right?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: And there it was. The disgust in her voice and the horror on her face at the realisation of what she did. It wasn't the first time she'd seen it, and it wouldn't be the last - but she couldn't hide the look of disappointment from her own face that Lorelai had reacted in such a way. "No, I don't 'have' to. I want to. I take on the clients that are too rough or too depraved for the others. I can take a lot more than a human can after all - so better it be me than one of the others, or an innocent on the street they target, attack and rape. Cause if they don't get it willingly - you know they'll take it forcefully!"
Lorelai: Lorelai rolled onto her back and sighed as she looked up at the ceiling. She had to try and process what CC was saying as it didn’t make a lot of sense to her. “So… You don’t have to. But you do. In fact you do the worst of it?” her tone was questioning. “That’s what you’re saying…right?” Lorelai’s innocent mind couldn’t really imagine what the worst of it was but it hadn’t sounded good as CC had used the words rough and depraved.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She nodded her head by way of answer and just let the girl process it all at her own speed.
Lorelai: “So you have intercourse for money?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mmm Hmm" She nodded her head again. "As well as other things."
Lorelai: “Other things? What kind of other things?” Lorelai wasn’t sure she wanted the answer to that question, but she asked it anyway. If she was going to be friends with this woman, she had to go into this friendship with her eyes open.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, they don't always want to have sex with me. Sometimes, they just want to chat. Sometimes, they want to be punished. Sometimes, they want to watch me doing things to myself. But, anything someone wants to pay me for - I'll do."
Lorelai: “Anything?” Lorelai’s voice took on a deeper tone of disappointment and bewilderment as she processed that piece of information. She couldn’t fathom selling her body to someone else, in fact the thought made her shiver; something CC likely felt as she still held her hand. Her new friend was harlot. How could anyone trust such a woman?
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just let out a loud and prolonged sigh as she felt the shiver, then felt the annoyance in her beginning to bubble. Because how dare the woman - the thief - judge her for legitimately making money. "Well, at least I don't steal from people, and instead make them happy!"
Lorelai: She quickly withdrew her hand from CC’s as she realised she’d offended the woman. “I was only stealing to...” she sighed softly unable to finish that sentence and just shook her head. “It doesn’t matter. I cannot defend my actions.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC presumed she was removing her hand because she was so disgusted with what she did as a profession. "Mm Hm. Which is how I started in this profession. Then - I found that the challenge of the pole dancing was one I really enjoyed. Not to mention the feeling of being wanted, needed and desired by men and women. All eyes on you while you work the pole? It's an amazing ******* feeling, and one I've worked damn hard at"
Lorelai: Lorelai turned back to look at CC. “I have no desire to follow in your footsteps CC. Please don’t take that the wrong way. I’m…glad that you enjoy the profession but it’s not something I see or desire in my future.” Her fingertips lightly brushed against CC’s, something that she did by accident but instead of pulling her hand back, she left it resting where it lay.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I wasn't trying to recruit you 'ell" She felt a shiver run through her as the woman's fingers touched her hand. She turned her hand over and gently let her nails tickle Lorelai's palm
Lorelai: “Well that’s a relief,” she smiled at CC as the woman began to tickle her palm. “I don’t think I could, no, I know couldn’t do what you do. Don’t you get lonely? Oh. Sorry. I shouldn’t have assumed you don’t already have someone. Do you have someone?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: The woman was rambling a little and it made CC smile softly, just letting her talk. "No, I don't have anyone. And, well, I've never really had anyone in my life. So how can you miss what you've never known?"
Lorelai: Lorelai frowned slightly, the lines of her face taking a more serious appearance. “That doesn’t sound right. You say you make people happy and yet you aren’t looking after the one person that truly matters. You. Everybody needs someone CC. We are social creatures you know. We thrive in communities.” She grabbed CC’s wrist in an effort to still her fingers. “I feel sad for you. Everyone should know love.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She frowned and pulled her hand away, annoyed. "I don't need your pity!"
Lorelai: Lorelai leaned up on her elbow and looked at CC, studying her facial expressions. “I can’t help how I feel CC. I wouldn’t say I pity you but I do think that it’s an experience everyone should have.” She ran her fingertips across CC’s jawline and smiled at her sweetly. “You know you’re quite confusing to me. Your kiss is quite believable but if you haven’t felt love that really shouldn’t be possible.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: SHE was confusing? What about this one. Yesterday, she'd wanted to get away. Today, she was lying in bed and flirting - and CC was positive she hadn't used a power on the girl today! "I've never been in a position for it. I guess. And why can't a kiss be believable if you've never felt love? A kiss can be for so many reasons"
Lorelai: “Not if you’re me it can’t. Kisses are saved for those you love. Until yesterday that was when you kissed me. I was not expecting to be kissed by a vampire within my first few days in the city. Or ever really.” She laughed softly. “I’m not saying that I didn’t believe vampires were capable of such things either, just that I wasn’t expecting to be this,” she gestured at the space between them, “close to one.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just smiled and leant in a little closer, her eyes looking deeply into 'ell's while her hand caressed her waist and hip. "And are you complaining about being so close? About being kissed? How did the kiss, and the bite make you feel?"
Lorelai: Lorelai wriggled away from CC as best she could. “Yes and no. Your actions seem awfully rehearsed at times. I doubt many would even say such a thing, as they’d be flattered to be so close to you but when someone you’ve never spoken to before acts the way you do… It’s… Well it’s a little hard to believe them. And the kiss, and the bite were both oddly pleasant.”
Lorelai: She could feel someone lightly stroking her face and so her eyes fluttered open. She blinked a few times, a little groggy from her nap and then smiled at CC before stretching herself out. "Did you sleep well?"

Re: What do you think you're doing? (Lorelai/Silks staff)
--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No. My rehearsed stuff is for my clients. I don't do anything in my private life unless I want to, because I desire to... I'm just, not shy about coming forwards." She smirked and leant in, pressing a soft kiss to the woman's lips before drawing back again.
Lorelai: Lorelai whimpered ever so softly as she put a hand on CC’s shoulder and pushed her away. “You have to stop that okay. I don’t know you. I’d like to know you better before we do that. If we do that. Which reminds me… Do you always kiss women without their permission? What if I were heterosexual?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She chuckled softly and put her head back on her hand, noting the whimper with a wicked glint in her eye. "That bridge has been crossed dear, we've already done that. And you can't say you don't like it. And yes. I kiss who I like. Men and women, straight, gay or anything in between. Single, married or anything in between. Doesn't bother me any"
Lorelai: “But it should bother you. I like boundaries. Especially when it comes to my body. A kiss to me is a sign of affection. It means something. And every time you kiss me without me knowing you, you cheapen that for me. Can you understand that? Crossed or not, I’m going back to the other side of that bridge and if you keep trying to cross it, it may end up being burned.” Lorelai kept her eyes on CC wondering if the woman would be able to behave herself. She was not so egotistical as to think herself irresistible, rather that she considered the fact that CC suffered from impulse control issues.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "And what? My kiss to you isn't affectionate? You don't think it can be because of what I do?"
Lorelai: “I don’t believe I said that CC. I said that I don’t know you and that if and when we kiss again it should be because I do… Because I care for you… Because I want to be more than friends. I don’t give my heart to the first pretty face I see. And I only want to kiss those that I care for. This isn’t really about you. Not really. It’s about me. About who I am. Does any of that make sense to you?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Not really." She said, rolling onto her back and looking up at the ceiling with a shrug.
Lorelai: "What don't you understand? If you tell me I can try and explain myself better."
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Why wouldn't you want to do something you obviously enjoy?"
Lorelai: “Because I don’t want to just enjoy it. I want to want it. To need it. I want to feel like my world will end if I don’t kiss you… or whoever it is that my heart desires. I want to know the person I’m…joining with,” she made strange motions with her hands bringing her hands together and apart, which meant laying back down on the bed instead of resting on her arm. “It has be mean something.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She raised an eyebrow at the hand gestures and chuckled softly. "Have you ever actually fucked anyone before 'ell?" The gestures she'd made suggested not.
Lorelai: “No. Not in the context you mean. I’ve had sex before with people I care about. But only people I care about. People that I thought I loved or could love. They broke my heart or I broke theirs. I know I’m not as skilled as you are. I couldn’t be. You do this for a living. I do it for love.” The colour returned to her cheeks but she was able to say what she needed to semi confidently as she stared up at the ceiling. Her words weren’t meant as an insult but could, perhaps, be taken that way.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Gotcha. Just the way you talked.... you came across as inexperienced was all. And yes, as I said - in my own free time and for me - I do it with those I like. Not just anyone. After all.... I get enough of that in business. Why would I want to do it in my own free time if it didn't mean something?"
Lorelai: “I don’t know. I guess that wouldn’t make much sense. You just seemed to struggle with the idea that I don’t want to be kissed by you. And I may have come from a small community but honestly,” she rolled over onto her side to look at CC again. “What do you think we did for fun? I wasn’t allowed to watch television remember. I think there were two televisions in the entire area that we had access too. Days were long and days in the winter felt even longer.” She laughed softly at the memories.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "So, were you Amish or something?" She asked, having only heard of them being the same way she was brought up - in so far as the lack of technology and the small community. "But if you did it for fun and entertainment, it wasn't necessarily with people you liked?" She was trying to work it all out in her head. Because this woman really was quite foreign to her in so many ways. "And yes I struggled with the idea - because you don't do it as a job."
Lorelai: “I’m not Amish no. The community I grew up in respect nature and believe that things were simpler years ago when life was less complicated. In some ways you could say the sixties never went out of fashion where I lived. We have some technology; washing machines and fridge’s mainly. And why would it matter if I did this as a job or not? I could still say no. I only ever gave myself to people I had strong feelings for. People I’d known practically my entire life. It wasn’t so much of fun or entertainment. More raging hormones and confused emotions. I was far more preoccupied with my own body at times.” She rolled onto her back and covered her face with her hands. “And I cannot believe I just said that to you.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She snorted with laughter at that last confession and then went back a bit. "I'm saying that BECAUSE I do it for a job I don't waste my spare time doing it for fun. If I'm going to do it for fun - I'd rather be paid for it. You see? So it's not that I don't approve of people ******* for fun. So that's why I don't get your stance." She grinned, hoping she was explaining it better. "If I didn't do it as a job, I would do it for fun sometimes. Or, like you, play 'by myself'."
Lorelai: She rolled her eyes at herself and even though her cheeks still burned she pulled her hands from her face. “I can understand that. That you don’t do it for fun. But I don’t do it for fun ever. Not now. Not that I think I ever did. My lips. My body. I choose who I give them to and I don’t like that you can’t respect that. I like you. You’re attractive and intriguing and when you kiss me it feels real but…” Her fingers rubbed at the pressure points on her temples. “I should have meditated today. It may have helped to clear my mind.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Ah, but think. If you were on a date. At the end of it, your date would lean in and kiss you. You can pull away - as you have here - or you could lean into it - which you haven't yet." Grins. "And I do respect that. I haven't kissed you since. And I haven't fed on you since that first time. That's restraint - what with how you taste!"
Lorelai: “I’ve…never been on a date,” she confessed. “We didn’t leave our community. Until two night ago I’d never been outside the confines our lands. Dating for me consisted of doing chores together, or studying, or sneaking off somewhere quiet to spend time alone. And if this is your version of restraint…I’m sorry but I think it needs some work.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She blinked and rolled back onto her side to look at the girl with a frown. "You've never been on a date? Then how'd you get to know these folks you've fucked? Working and chores, surely didn't give you " She looked her over curiously. "And believe me. For me. This is restraint." She grinned with a wicked look in her eyes as she looked 'ell over wantonly
Lorelai: “Behave,” she said as if reading CC’s mind, subconsciously crossing her arms over her chest in a defensive manner. “Honestly why you would even look twice at me is beyond me. I know. I know. My scent. My blood. But that’s not me. Another reason I don’t want you kissing me. And you have plenty of time to talk while doing chores. In fact it’s all you can do some days to make the time pass quicker. I told you it was a small community and I pretty much grew up with most of the people I slept with.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "That is you. A part of you at least. Then there's your mind, your views and ideals. They fascinate me. And your personality - you're so, sweet and honest. You don't see a lot of that. Not in my ******* life anyways."
Lorelai: “You use a lot of profanity when you speak don’t you. Why is that? Actually. Sorry. You don’t have to answer that. I fascinate you? You don’t know me. We barely spoke last night.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I heard enough to be fascinated." Grins and nods. "As for the language, it's what I'm used to. You've got to be tough as leather in my job. And as a vampire - even more so!"
Lorelai: “Okay… So…Can I go now? You said I could go after we talked and I’m so very hungry.” Lorelai was cutting the conversation off just when it was starting to get good or lead somewhere and that was perhaps the real reason that she decided then and there that it was time to go.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Oh...." Her grin fell as she nodded her head, rolling back onto her back again. "If you like. I won't stop you. Just..... please.... stay safe."
Lorelai: "I will be," she smiled and got up from the bed, making her way to the door. "CC?" she said as she got there and opened it, "It was nice meeting you." She smiled at her new friend and left.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC nodded her head and didn't watch her leave. She just curled up and stared at the wall feeling decidedly...... empty and alone.
