Business: Owner Vacation

Post by Velia »

Would it be possible to have some type of mechanism in place for businesses if a player is unable to complete the daily tasks for whatever reason? I was thinking there were two possible options, though that doesn't mean there aren't more I just didn't think of.

1) Something we can hit so the business is "closed" for all purposes so that employees aren't being docked 1 energy per hour (unless I'm mistaken in thinking that even when owners aren't doing the daily businesses employees are still being docked).

2) An option to have the manager "step up" in running the business for x amount of time and entrusting them with the responsibility of managing while the owner is away? This seems less likely than the first and would possibly need some tweaking so that some of the net profits went to the manager to make up for them being the one using up the 20 extra energy to run the place.

If my assumption about continually docking energy even when a business is inactive is wrong then my main concern is gone anyway. I don't mind losing profits so much, but I would feel bad about employees losing energy when they're not getting anything for it.
