Fadebeasts are not entirely spiritual; they are part physical, and do need a womb to gestate inside. They also require the DNA of the father, and the biological impregnation and gestation of the creatures is described in the wiki as "not entirely physical," indicating that they are partly physical beings. As the exact reason as to why a fadebeast is created instead of a baby, I can't go into it too much without making a roleplay unknown into an OOC known, which spoils the fun a little bit.Alexandrea wrote:We've been told ooc that 'birth control' (like condom) have no effect on conception as the connection that creates the fadebeast is more spiritual than physical. If that is true, can two males or two females create a fadebeast baby?
The wiki, however, doesn't talk about contraceptives. So basically, it's unknown as to why fadebeast fertilization ignores things like condoms. Essentially, the decision for it to be like this was made to make roleplay simply more interesting, because you can't avoid it! lol
