--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Shan: The moonlit sidewalk was bright to her as she walked along it, everyone else around her scattering and stepping off the sidewalk and to the other side of the street like she had the plague. She didn’t; and she was getting more and more used to those around her keeping their distance anyways. She reached both hands up and pushed her dark brown locks back into a messy bun, moving to slide one hand to her sword and the other to her gun as if she wasn’t sure they were there. Giving the faintest of smirks off one corner of her lips, she glanced around and saw the white gated fence that surrounded the Quarantine Zone.
Crossing to it, she didn’t check a second time as she bent slightly at her knees and then launched into the air, doing a half a twist and landing on one knee, bracing herself with one hand to the concrete that cracked under her knee upon impact. Grinning then, she kept her broken arm close to her as she headed for the nearest building and pulled out her sword from its short sheath. She needed practice with close quarters, and what better she figured that a greedy, gripping feral?
Nishaa: The sewers were dark, damp. Nishaa liked it that way. The woman was still moping. ”Don’t sleep outsides, never. Do you hear?” Her sire’s words echoed in her mind, and she scoffed as she kicked a small rock into small sewage river. She tried her luck not so long ago against a paladin and had her *** handed to her. She cursed their kind. They had killed Zoe, they had ripped her from Nishaa. Every had broken the new to her as gently as the woman could. Nishaa didn’t over react, or lash out -- instead she was quite quiet. Quieter than you would have expected a girlfriend to be at the loss of their partner.
Sweat poured down the woman’s face as made her way through the sewers, searching for the grate that would lead her into the Quarantine Zone. There was a place there where she could rest. It was flats, odd -- that flats would reside in a quarantine zone. She wasn’t knocking it either.
She pushed herself upwards -- into the clean, night air. She closed the grate as soon as she was out of it, and made her way to Corvidae Flats. She wiped the sweat off her face with the back of her hand and sighed. She knew there were Feral Vampires about -- so the young Necromancer kept her eyes peeled, withdrawing the Fine Blade from it’s sheath which was attached to her thigh.
Shan: It was the lobby to the apartments that scattered the Quarantine Zone, Corvidae Flats read across the double doors to the building she had chosen, and she slid inside quietly. Shifting the blade to an offensive grip, she eyed the people in the lobby. They all seemed normal enough, but most all of them had that odd aura about them that told Shan they weren’t normal humans. Suddenly there was a loud half-screech from her right and she instinctively stuck her hand out with the blade outstretched - piercing right through the eye socket of a feral that had decided to charge her.
It was a woman, middle aged, and pregnant. Shan didn’t think about how that was sad, or how she couldn’t find it in her to have emotions swarm her for killing this woman. All she could think about was how she wanted that fadebaby. They went for good money on auction, and so she dragged the corpse to the side of the door and started cutting into its stomach that was bulging abnormally outwards. She kept looking around like she was going to get caught, though none of the others in the lobby seemed to care - yep, they weren't normal humans. If they were, Shan would have had to of killed them, too.
Nishaa: Training was hard work, she had to keep it up in order to stay strong. Not just for herself but for Andras, which Every explained was her family. Nishaa didn’t have a family when she was a human, she had killed them. Sacrificed them really to Lucifer -- she was under the silly little delusion that the more she sacrificed he would bestow upon her power. She was a psychotic little *****. She seemed to mellow out a little when she was turned. She pushed a lot of her focus into fighting -- hacking, and slashing those around her.
Though, a mooncalf had killed her not so long ago -- sent her to the Shadow Realm. Every had made fun of her for it -- the Necromancer had been lost within the blackness of the realms. Unable to find her way out until recently -- she had found a doorway of brilliant white light, which dropped her on the cold floor of the Morgue naked.
The dark brown eyes found their way to the a nearby vampire that seemed to be doing some kind of surgery on the corpse of a dead Feral. The feral itself was pregnant as she raised an eyebrow. She made her way over to the woman, with her blade neatly tucked at her side. “You know, there’s a hospital for that sorta’ **** toots.” She said, giving the woman a sultry smile.
Shan: Her short sword made quick work of the ferals flesh, and then she started to get more into it, cutting the corpse out cleanly before she heard the woman at her backside speaking to her. She didn’t jump. She didn’t fall over in surprise. She didn’t even turn around and look at the other as she trained her red hues on the little baby she pulled from the now empty cavity of the dead woman turned feral laying at her feet. Setting it aside for right now, Shan then wiped her blade on the dead woman's jean clad thigh before setting to cut a large swatch of fabric from her shirt.
Moving to wrap the dead fadebaby up in it, she finally stood up and went to push her long dark locks out of her eyes - but saw the incredibly amount of blood on her hand and decided against it. She had just showered today. “Really? They specialize in fadelings? Who’da thought.” Shan smirked at her own smart *** comment in reply to the others, then narrowed her red blood hues on Nishaa. She had seen her about in the catacombs a while back… but something looked a bit different. Shan couldn’t put her finger on it… and right now, she wasn’t sure she cared enough to.
Nishaa: Nishaa, who happened to be quite the snarky little vampire laughed. "**** knows, gurl." The speech had a slur to it, that twang of someone who thought they were a gangster. You know, the kind that was around Harper Rock. Nishaa liked killing them -- looting their crap stuff and pawning it off.
"Maybe" Nishaa shrugged her shoulders then turned her dark orbs over to a Feral Vampire that was just struck down by a lovely looking blonde. Nishaa being Nishaa, licked her lips. She liked what she saw in that stranger -- maybe she should go introduce herself. Instead she turned her attention to the vampire wannabe midwife. She leaned her elbow against a nearby counter and raised an eyebrow.
"You look so sexy in red girl." She said referring to the blood on her hands. She smiled --- showing the whites of her teeth.
Shan: Shan stared at Nishaa. Trying to place her, she knew she had seen her somewhere else. She raised her brows that curved inwards too, unable to respond to the other’s unusual speech. Her red orbs didn’t leave Nishaa as the other looked over then back, Shan trying to seemingly bore holes through the other woman’s head with a non-existent laser eyesight. “My name is Shan, not girl.” Came out before she knew what she was saying. Clearly it was something that irked her, being called something other than her true name. She didn’t even let her siblings call her anything other than Shan. Killer hues stared, cold, despite their hot red color. Nothing. She just couldn’t place her. And she was growing sick of trying to. She she just narrowed her hues and smirked back at the other. “I’ll bet you look better.” Had she just hit on the other? Oh, what the hell.
She blinked, then scratched at her throat absentmindedly - the constant burn still there that brought a swell of itching here and there - as fingertips smeared blood along her throat she tucked the fadebaby at her side safely - she needed it. She was growing low on funds for ammo and better weapons - though Anguish was still at her side when she needed it - she couldn’t find a better sword like the one Madison had gotten her greasy hands on and stolen from her dead body. Muscles tightened in her jaw from the memory of her death coupled with the thirst that bubbled under the surface, and Shan’s eyes danced to the others throat and then back up involuntarily. Damn she was thirsty. “I need a drink.” And then she was walking to the self serve bar at the far side of the lobby. Maybe they’d have blood bags in the mini fridge. Maybe.
Nishaa: Nishaa scoffed, this one in front of her had fire. Nishaa was like a moth to a flame, she knew she'd get burned but -- Zoe had left such a gap, that Nishaa had become careless and tactless -- flirting with every girl in sight. Every didn't know this and god help Nishaa when she found out that the woman was being careless with other women, yeah she'd slept with one or two. They weren't serious, just a bit of fun here and there.
"Shan." Nishaa grinned, the name danced on her tongue, rolled off her lips in one sound. Out it sounded so good, "Nishaa." She said in response. Though the woman's name was familiar. She'd seen it before yet couldn't place where. Andras maybe? Was the woman an Andras member. Before Nishaa could say anything else, Shan was walking off to the bar.
"Me too." She said following the bloody midwife. The corpse still cradled in the woman's arms. "I'm gonna' call you red, foxy red." She was waiting to be slapped at some point -- Shan looked like she took no ****.
Shan: Nishaa. The other had said her name was ‘Nishaa’ and as Shan walked towards the bar, she repeated it over and over in her mind. Still coming up drawing a complete blank, Shan shrugged looking back at her. She was thirsty too - was she the same as Shan in that aspect? Was the other constantly hungry too? Shan would have asked, if Nishaa hadn’t immediately donned her with a nickname. Shan stopped dead in her tracks, turning slowly to point a bloody index finger in Nishaa’s face.
“Let’s get one thing straight. If you are going to be following me around like a lost puppy, you are going to be calling me my name. Not some pet name, not some nickname. It’s Shan. Got it?” Halfway through the sentence she dropped her hand to take her sword from the other and resheath it where it belonged, assured it was free of blood for the time being before she would more thoroughly inspect it at home. Shifting the fadebaby corpse more securely before removing it from her side and putting it on top of the bar she had stepped up to in one swift stride; she put both hands on the countertop and peered over the side with her cold blood red hues, trying to find the mini fridge she was sure it was housing.
Nishaa: Oh, she is so feisty.
The thought crossed the necromancers mind, fleetingly. "Are you single?" Was her reply after Shan's explosion on the woman -- Nishaa found herself waggling her own eyebrows at the woman -- hey, if she was single and well. She couldn't care less about the woman's sexuality she was calling this a date! Her expectations of the woman being single was slim to none -- but after the loss of Zoe, she needed something to fill this void she had in her unbeating heart. So flirting with random women she just met with the thought getting punched in return was one way to fill it.
Shoving cement down her throat would be a safer option.
This woman was **** hot.
"Whatever you say you foxy lady." She said, she coughed and corrected herself. "I mean, Shan." The smile was so innocent and sincere. The hot heated killer wouldn't suspect her of her alternate motives of classing this as a date to boast about.
Shan: Shan stopped looking the second Nishaa asked. Her far hand curled into a fist against the cool marble of the bar top. Was she really asking if she was single? Clearly Shan just wanted to get a ******* drink. She needed it, and now more than ever she was wishing that drink was able to have alcohol in it. The muscles in her jaw and neck tightened as she struggled not to lay Nishaa out and go about her business… she knew Nishaa somehow. Even though she couldn't place it, laying the woman out just didn't seem like a good idea until she could.
Turning quickly then, after hearing the same nickname leave her lips that she had warned Nishaa about using, Shan’s hand shot out and clasped bloodied fingers around the others throat. Not too harsh, but enough that it would cut the woman’s air supply off to her vocal chords. Nishaa coughed and then corrected herself as Shan blinked at her, the muscles in her jaw rippling as she finally dropped her hand and then in one swift movement hopped over the bar and started throwing cabinets open in search of the blood. It had to be here somewhere. Had to be.
“Nishaa, where do I know you from?” She asked finally, the blank line through her mind about it finally getting the best of her.
Nishaa: Hands curled around her neck, applying pressure not enough so her eyes popped out her skull but enough to make her cough, and choke -- her pale skin turned a shade of rose. Vampires didn't need to breathe but they still felt pain -- old human habits die hard. The scent of iron filled her nostrils. Lighting a flame inside the pit of her belly. She was hungry now -- even the scent of the ferals blood on the killers hand made her crave that nectar.
"Er--"
A croak left her lips before the woman released her grip on the Nishaa's throat. Instinctively she rubbed at her neck, over and over soothing the spot. Nishaa's dark hues found their way back to the vampire and simply smiled. She was in love this woman was so hot, spicey and gave her the right out of kick... literally.
"Andras." She said -- her throat a little dry. "I'm from the vampire family Andras, Shan." She smiled then revealing the pearly white teeth of hers. Nishaa was cocky, that was much was apparent she liked to push boundaries see how far she could push people. It was a thing -- a knack she had.
Shan: Rummaging through the cabinets and tipping everything over she could, she turned around and finally spotted the small half sized mini fridge that held the blood for the ‘special’ patrons. “Yesss.” Whispered out under her breath, and she beelined for it. Hand on the door’s handle, prying it open, then staring. But not at the full supply of blood in it. No, she was staring because she had heard something completely unexpected. And then her name, but the way it was said… god she wanted to punch Nishaa in the face right now.
Again muscles tightened and tensed in her jaw, visibly enough so, and she struggled once more not to just whip around and punch Nishaa in the flat of her nose. Was she making fun of her? Was she taunting her? What was that? Shan growled under her breath and slowly turned around. Just great. This woman was what she should be considering family “You’ve got to be joking.” She muttered, finally prying her hand from the fridges handle and grabbing out two blood packs before turning back to Nishaa and stepping up to the bar. “You said Andras?”
Before she even set the blood packs onto the counter her red crimson hues were locking with Nishaa’s orbs, and then the sickening splat of the malleable plastic bags echoed ever so lightly throughout the lobby as she dropped them to the marbled surface.
Nishaa: Nishaa watched the killer and smirked. Every now and again she would rub at her sore neck, a reminder that this woman had touched her -- touched her a way no other woman could have. The smirk was playful, even crazy. The woman before her had such a bad temper as she dropped the blood to the marble bad top.
"I believe those words came out my mouth, yes." Her words oozed venom. Well, to get a woman's attention you got to play rough -- and with this ones fiery temper you have to. "I'm going to take a guess here and say you don't have many friends? Right?" She laughed. It wasn't a mocking kind of laugh either it was the kind of laugh you'd give when someone delivered a great punch line.
"Especially with your social skills." Nishaa picked up on the woman's social etiquette. "How'd you know Andras then?" She questioned. Raising an eyebrow.
Shan: Nishaa had turned on her sarcasm alright. And Shan didn’t like it. Muscles tightened once more in her jaw as she stared at Nishaa. Piercing red hues locked with the others, unable to move as the two seemingly fell into a staring competition. Shan wouldn’t back down. She stared. Hard. Intensely. Then Nishaa cracked a joke, or rather, thought she had, and her laugh echoed like the sound the blood bags against the counter had. Shan licked over one of her fangs and blinked finally, then pulled two glasses from under the counter.
Setting them to the countertop, Shan pointed her finger as one of her perfectly manicured nails grew into the size of a decent claw; an incredibly sharp claw that she used to puncture the bag with and pour its cold contents into the glass. Not making eye contact again with Nishaa as the blood obviously held her attention, her words came out rough like sandpaper rubbing a dog backwards.
“I don’t.” She admitted, though it was clear that it didn’t bother her. She knew she had the ones she had for a reason, and that the ones she had were the ones that mattered. Shan didn’t have those kinds of friends who only came to you when they needed something. She didn’t put up with that. And Nishaa was right - her attitude was in fact difficult for others to deal with. But Shan didn’t care. All she cared about was getting the glasses into the microwave to the side and pressing the buttons to warm it up. She leaned against the counter and crossed her arms over her chest, once more turning to look at Nishaa. “My sire is Velveteen, Nishaa.” Yes, two could play at that game.
Nishaa: Nishaa found herself eyeing the woman and stopping herself from drooling. Oh yes, she was sexy she wanted some of that sexy white ***. There was show down between the two. It was that ‘whoever blinks loses’ kind of competitions. She scoffed. Looking to the blood bags on the marble counter top. She heard the rip of the bag -- the scent of blood filled her nostrils. Her eyes widened, as they usually did at the sight of blood. Nishaa didn’t feed from humans -- you would have thought with her past of torture and murder all in the name of Lucifer that she would enjoy it. But she didn’t she actually consider herself a vegan. Her fangs had never pierced the flesh of a humans’ nape.
“Velveteen, huh?” Nishaa knew of the woman, Micah’s mrs. How vampires could marry and settle down was beyond her. Vampires were immortal why the **** would they ******* settle down and be with someone forever. A person could not tolerate the other for eternity.
That **** was fucked up.
“My sire is Every, Shan” She echoed the other and grinned -- revealing her pearly white fangs.
Shan: Shan gave a slight nod when the other repeated her sires name. Sure, at the moment Shan and Velveteen weren’t on speaking terms - but that didn’t mean that Shan didn’t still appreciate her sire for the gift of immortality. Vel had come to her telling her to just get disenthralled, and Shan had refused. She didn’t want that. No, she was still proud to be called a childe of Velveteen’s - even if the two were being stubborn as hell towards the other and not giving an inch. She remembered Vel asking her what she wanted. She wasn’t sure. She wasn’t sure what exactly she wanted; but one thing she was sure of, was that she wanted to stay Velveteen’s childe.
And there is was, and suddenly everything made so much sense to Shan. She actually quirked a smirk, the corners of her mouth pulling in an evil stare at Nishaa. Even after the microwaved dinged Shan smirked at Nishaa with those menacing blood reds. A dry laugh emitted from her dry throat. “Oh gods. That makes so much sense now. Tell me, how do you stand her?” Shan shook her head, her smirk widening as she opened the microwave, “Or rather, I should be asking how does she stand you.” Shan rolled her head to the side and felt her neck pop as she muttered something about ‘annoying pest’, then pulled the glasses out of the microwave and slid one down the bartop over to Nishaa before tipping her’s to her lips and taking a hearty pull.
Licking over her lips and leaning forwards to rest her elbows on the bar top and cradle her glass in both hands, Shan glanced around then back over to Nishaa after a moment. “Makes us… family… or something.” She stated blandly before taking another swig.

Re: Family? Wut? [Nishaa]
--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Nishaa: She heard that ping of the microwave and could almost drool. The blood was almost here -- almost ready to slip into her mouth and crawl into her belly and wait there. Oh yes, she was thirsty. So very thirsty. All this Feral Vampire hunting made her so very hungry. Her lazy dark orbs slowly dragged it’s attention from the glasses of blood back to Shan’s face.
“How do I put up with Every?” She asked, not sure how to answer that one. She didn’t really put up with Every. She thought it was vice versa. Every was the one who had to put up with Nishaa’s mood swings and playful antics. Tell her off when she got too horny over the crownet and all that shite.
“I don’t. She’s helped me. Even if I was dick to her. If anything she puts up with me. Hey! I’ll be the first to admit that I need to be collared. When I see a pretty lady, I chase her like a dog to a bone. Yanno?” She threw the woman a wink. She loved to make Shan uncomfortable.
“How do you put up with Velveteen then, huh? Seen as if we are sharing ****.” She asked.
Shan: The blood went down perfectly, smoothly, and warm just like a human donor. But it wasnt. There was still something missing… it was almost…. empty. Like it needed the essence of life added to it or something. A soul. Thats it. It needed a soul added to it. If only Shan could figure out how to make the blood packs more like human donors. Especially the unwilling ones. It was almost like she could taste the fear in their blood. And that fueled her longer than these stupid contraband packs did… but they did in a pinch.
Shan slid her eyes over to the dead fadebaby that was sitting on the counter between the two of them, she stood and rocked slightly onto her heels as Nishaa admitted that he needed a leash and collar. Shan smirked, yep, she was right on that one. It was clear that Nishaa did what she wanted, when she wanted, and thought nothing of consequences at the time. Hell, if ever. Maybe Shan could get to like her. Maybe. Or not.
Red blood orbs narrowed on Nishaa, those same muscles tensing immediately as Nishaa insinuated that Velveteen was anything short of the sire Shan needed her to be. Shan got angry. She felt the blood in the pit of her stomach boil hot, fueled by the sudden rage that shot through her. What did Nishaa know? Nothing. She knew nothing, and Shan was so angry that Nishaa had even insinuated that she did that what she did next was almost a blur.
Pulling her sword from its sheath she reached across with it and slid it directly into Nishaa’s shoulder. No hesitation. No instant regret. Shan didn’t push it deeply, but it felt good that her sword bit flesh again. She shook with anger… and then blinked. Well then. Maybe Shan needed to control her temper better. Not that she would.
Nishaa: She had this way of getting under people’s skins. It seemed she had just belly dove under Shan’s. She had just asked about Veleteen and now there was a blade in her shoulder. She didn’t flinch. She had spats with her sire once or twice before where she had been injured -- this **** happened in a normal vampire life. She’d even lost a leg once. Pretended to be a pirate. Got a spiffy looking eye patch to boot.
“Well arn’t you all warm and gooey on the inside.” She said with a grin. Her arms lifted to the silver of the blade as she grasped it. Blood seeped from the palms of her hands as she yanked the blade free, curling her palms tighter around the blade as she shoved it backwards so it knocked Shan off her heels. With a growl Nishaa moved towards the counter top, and grabbed the spare glass of blood and drained it without hesitation.
“Have I hit a nerve with the word. Veleteen? You’ll feel better when you talk about. So spill, unless you want to go for my other shoulder. Toots.” She grinned, egging her on.
Shan: Shan had stabbed Nishaa in the shoulder one second, and the next she was on her *** behind the bar. A fist slammed against the tiled floor as Nishaa talked. Shan snapped her fangs and scrambled to get to her feet, all the while her tone angry as she spat her words out at Nishaa.
“Just shut up! You dont know anything!”
She didnt. She didn’t know anything. Ignorance was bliss, or was it?
Her fist tightened and she swung on Nishaa then, extending over the bar as her own nails bit into her palm. She smelled the blood. Nishaa’s blood. Her vision washed red, the anger inside of her bubbling nearly over the top; out of control. Her fist connected with Nishaa’s jaw, and she heard a sickening snap, pop coming from either her knuckles breaking against Nishaa’s jaw -- or Nishaa’s jaw breaking against Shan’s knuckles. Either way the two would be walking home with broken bones today. God damn family. Shan knew deep down, Nishaa was right though. She slammed her fist then into the countertop, the dark green marble cracking and splitting all the way down to the end of the bar under her strength.
“You dont know anything.” She growled under her breath, staring at her fist planted into the marble.
Nishaa: “Of course I don’t know anything. You havn’t said anything -- I ask, I get stabbed. See the problem here?” Her tone was playful as she watched Shan get back up from the ground. Her shoulder ached, and oozed dark blood. With some concentration she focused all her strength and boosted her blood. Replacing the blood she lost -- to the floor! -- back into herself, so she wasn’t feeling so god damn hungry.
Shan looked pissed.
Nishaa raised an eyebrow, not even flinching.
Just mostly staring.
Nishaa wasn’t as fast as Shan, she didn’t have the dexterity that she displayed to move out of the way of the fist that was coming right for her. The killers fist collided with her jaw -- the snap, sound ebonated in the bar area. Her eyes closed in a brief moment of euphoria. Nishaa liked pain. Before feeling shooting pain’s all the way down, then white hot pain.
“Ow!” She screeched. Her jaw was broken -- it hurt to talk.
“You ******* *****.” She snarled at the killer, as Shan punched the marble countertop, shattering it under her might. Nishaa just wanted to ******* rip her apart.
“You know what? When people try to help you. Take it, don’t ******* lash out like an attention seeking whore. Man up.” She said -- each word, killed her jawline. The woman’s mouth hurt, but she just didn’t have the energy to fight back. She settled for snarling and deathly stares.
Shan: Her blood red eyes did not lift from the fist that was dripping blood - her blood - from her nails into her own palm. Her arm trembled as her killer muscles rippled up and down it, tensing and rolling under her skin heavily. She was sure that her aura had changed entirely since Nishaa’s slip up of mentioning her sire - the one person who Shan hated and loved all at the same time. It was too much emotion for her to contain - obviously. And Nishaa was learning this first hand. Of course Shan had been the one to fly off the handle… but Nishaa should have watched her tongue. And then to stroke the hot fire… Nishaa had it coming in Shan’s eyes.
“Help. Tskch.” She scoffed, drawing a deep breath that filled her dead lungs with the scent of all the blood mixing in the air like a million snowflakes being released into a snow storm. She cleared her throat. Relaxing finally. Her red blood vision faded until she saw black and white, then finally color again. Normal reality. She ground her molars back and forth once before shaking her head and bending to retrieve her sword, not bothering to wipe it off before shoving it back into its sheath. Finally, she looked up at Nishaa. And if Nishaa was looking back, she could have seen the incredible amount of emotion swirling behind Shan’s eyes.
“Whatever.” Course, if Nishaa had known Shan, she’d know that that was her way of apologizing. She could never find it in her to actually say those two little words that seemingly meant so much to the human race as a whole. That would mean admitting responsibility for her actions which she felt were justified. No, she wouldn't be apologizing outright to Nishaa. Not for this anyways. Besides, the girl was still standing. “My sire and I have our issues.” She grumbled out finally. As if Nishaa hadn't already figured that part out.
Nishaa: She raised her hand and began to rub at the skin of her jawline. It ached from where Shan had broken her jaw. She growled a little as she eyeballed the empty glass of blood. “Whatever?” She questioned as she watched the killer in front of her with a curious stare. She could see something behind that mask of no emotion. It seemed completely the opposite. Shan was feeling -- swirling with emotion, it seemed Nishaa’s little ‘probing’ had done some good. She has gotten inside Shan’s head.
“I noticed you both had your issues.” She said very loosely. With a smile she leaned her elbows on the counter and watched Shan with those dark, black orbs of hers. “But doesn’t talking about it help with this sort of ****, you vent -- I listen, you feel better.” She laughed slightly. “Trust me, it’ll help.”
Shan: She just rolled her eyes slightly and crossed her arms over her chest, giving a slight huff in the process. Who was this chick?! Shan liked how brazen she was though - the way Shan had stabbed her and she hadn't even so much as blinked at it. And then there was the broken jaw - Nishaa had proved she could take a beating and not let it get her down. She had also proved that she wasn't going to let up on the subject. Shan grumbled at that, giving a slight shake of her head. Help. Who needed that. It wasn't like she could just call Velveteen up right now and talk **** out with her. But she found she had grown sick of groveling back to her sires feet. What would that make, three times now? No, her pride was certainly getting the best of her in that.
“She gave me the boot from Ty a while ago - without so much as a word. I mean, she said jump, and I didn't even ask how high - I just did it.” Shan shrugged, and half rolled her shoulders a bit before turning around and opening the fridge for another couple of blood packs. “So I asked her why, and she said I wasn't active enough in it. Acted like I didn't care about it.” She ‘tsked’ under her breath, dropping the blood packs to the counter to pull out two more clean glasses. She didn't have to do the dishes, so what did she care?
Nishaa: Ty. She'd heard of that shindig before. Wasn't that Every's group? She gently stroked at her chin slowly. Trying to think of what to say. "Isn't that the group 90% of Andras are a part of." She asked, before wondering why she hadn't been asked to join this group -- cult, thing. Maybe she herself wasn't good enough to be a part of it. She growled slightly and pushed it to the back of her mind. Her eyes fell back on the woman's red hues that looked straight at her, Nishaa didn't flinch or shy away from the woman's stare if anything if made her go slightly closer pressing her palms now to the top of the counter.
"I feel the same yanno, I'd jump if Every asked me too. It must be a sire childe thing. Did you care about it?" She asked, licking her lips hungrily at the blood packs. "Ty that is?" She mused. Digging for information about this secret cult.
Shan: Shan nodded, then dropped her eyes to the glasses as she prepared two more full of ice cold blood again. She figured as much; that any childe would do as such for their sire. But then, Shan also had her stints of rebellion. She would be the first to admit it. She gave a slight nod again, answering Nishaa’s question. Ty had meant something to her, a place she had been able to consider her own. A group of people who were seemingly in the same mindset as Shan - though maybe not as screwed in the head as her, but they all had their own skeletons. She missed it, in all honesty, and she blinked as that realization hit her. She sighed and picked up the full glasses to take them over to the microwave and set them inside it before shutting the door and turning it on again.
“It meant… something. My sire had suggested I be there; said I would fit in perfectly actually. And I guess I did? Though none of them really ever spoke to me… I felt like it was a place to belong.” She teased her lower lip between her upper fang and lower incisor. Why was she spilling all of this out all of a sudden? And where the hell had it all come from? Before Nishaa had asked, Shan hadn’t even thought about it really. But as she thought on it more, more and more came to the surface about it all. She stared at the microwave as the glasses inside of it spun around on the glass plate.
Nishaa: Nishaa nodded her head, watching the woman in front of her prepare the glasses of blood, it was a funny thing that they needed no food for their bodies to work -- it was all motorized the only thing needed to survive was fresh blood, warm and toasty in the belly. How odd, but as she saw herself in the mirror when she was newly turned she was a skeletal being. Grotesque she was a monster and she knew it in herself.
"Their loss." She said matter of factly as her dark orbs looked at the killer. "You're a ball of fun." She said looking at her gaping wound in her shoulder before laughing a little at the mere thought. She would be a good friend to have she was sure of it. "How do you feel now?" She asked. Referring to the place where Shan belonged.
Shan: Shan scoffed at Nishaa. Fun. Sure, Shan knew how to have fun. But that didn't mean that their definitions were the same of whatever ‘fun’ was. She swallowed thickly and pulled the door to the microwave open, the device not even allowed to ding yet as she pulled the glasses out and almost slid one down the bar to Nishaa but stopped - realizing just in the knick of time that the crack in the counter she herself had put there would stop the glass short and tip it for sure. So instead, she took the step over to be across from Nishaa, handing her the glass like a normal person would.
“Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?” She asked, though it was a legit question for her. She couldn't tell if Nishaa was joking or not. If she wasn't, then maybe, just maybe, Nishaa had as fucked up of a sense of humor as Shan did. And if that were the case, Shan thought for a second that maybe she could handle Nishaa. Handle knowing her. Maybe. Just maybe. “I feel fine. I mean, whatever happens is going to happen. I cant stop it - so why worry about it?” She shrugged. No, she had other things to worry about. Like who her next victim would be.
Nishaa: Nishaa laughed. Before shaking her head slowly swiping the glass from Shan's grip before bringing the glass to her lips and drinking it slowly but deeply -- this time savouring the metallic taste, as long as it wasn't fresh from the host she was fine -- remember the first time she tried to feed, and how she had failed miserably throwing up the blood almost instantly.
"I know I have a witty, yet charming sense of humor -- but no -- I was being serious, about both things." She said as she revealed the pearly whites of her fangs giving off a light chuckle as her belly rumbled with it. "Good outlook." She said as she placed the half empty glass on the counter.
Shan: She tipped her glass back and took a couple swallows, draining it half down before she felt like pulling it from her lips and licking them over. Her tongue danced along her fangs, and she looked over at Nishaa before giving her another shrug. She didn't say anything right away though - she never was one for light conversation. And now Nishaa had her thinking about her siress. Thinking about all the problems the two of them had since the night Velveteen had decided to turn Shan. That night was still a blur in her memory - but Shan didn't care too much to ask Velveteen what exactly had happened. She just rolled with the punches… something her Sire had insisted she be able to do. So she was.
“How old are you, anyways? You look like you could be in high school.” Shan scoffed, looking over Nishaa once more - though she didn't really let her eyes wander. It was clear that she wasn't sexually attracted - no, something else entirely got her engine revving so to speak. She licked over her bottom lip again and picked up her glass once more as she brought her eyes back to Nishaa’s.
Nishaa: Her bony hands curled around the glass as she brought the rim to her lips and tipped her head backwards. The maroon liquid trickled down her throat and fell into the abyss that was her belly -- filling her with strength as the pain in her jaw and shoulder ebbed away the more and more she drank the sustenance vampires needed to survive.
Survival, that was an odd word. A word Nishaa has yet to learn the real meaning of. How do you survive in a world that will always change but you, yourself stay the same. The thought of living forever was a dream, a goal when she was human -- now her dream was a reality and the more it was the more frightening it was to her.
"Old enough." She said in reply to Shan's question.
Shan: She just gave a nod and shifted her weight, tipping her glass back to finish it off and set it to the countertop. She glanced back to the fadebaby that she had acquired from the pregnant feral and blinked. How old was old enough? Shan didn't feel like asking though. If Nishaa wasn't going to give her a straight answer, then she wouldnt ask a second time. She pulled her phone from her pocket and flipped through the screens to get to her contacts, then tossed her phone over to Nishaa. “Digits.” She stated rather simply, assured Nishaa understood.
She found that Nishaa had rather piqued her interest, and she figured that it wouldn't hurt to have the woman’s number in her phone in case she ever needed to call upon her. Or maybe she would ask her to hunt with her - humans didn't always slink away from her if there was someone else with her. Not always. Just most of the time.
Nishaa: Digits.
She caught the cellular device as it was thrown towards her -- she used her left hand to reach out and grab it midair before pulling in to her chest, nodding her head. "Okay" she said as she began to key in her number -- the woman didn't really share her number with most, Velveteen, Micah and Every had her number -- Zoe did too but now the woman was gone and she changed her number. A spur of the moment thing. Clicking save she threw the mobile right back at her.
"I'm going go head off -- I got some stuff I need to hand to Micah." She then nodded her head to the corpse. "And that thing is worth a lot to money -- always wise to keep it out of public eye unless you want to be mugged, though." She paused looking the other over with a sweet smile. "You can handle yourself." She paused to look at the Killer whom she had taken a liking to and smiled at her. "It was nice meeting you Shan, I do hope we can hang out again." She threw the woman a wink and waited for some form of a reply.
Shan: She caught the device that had been thrown back at her, her brand spanking new phone. Shan went through them like a kid through candy. She was constantly updating her mobile database of contacts because of it. Someone who’s number she had for a week she’d lose the next. She supposed it was a good thing she could easily track people down - or else that would be entirely more than just a minor annoyance. She pocketed it and noticed Nishaa eyeing her fadebaby corpse, and she almost growled. It was hers.
She blinked then, and nodded. Nishaa didn't want to steal it - though Shan hadn’t put it past the other. She eyed it too, looking over its grotesque form before she glanced back to the glass that was now empty again. Dammit. Blood never lasted long enough near her. She was thirsty already, all over again, the fire in the pit of her belly raging to tell her that it was hungry. Hunger to her, would never end, she was sure of it.
There it was. The goodbye. Shan scoffed. What was peoples obsession with needing to do so? If she was going to leave, she could just leave. Shan wasn’t stopping her! She nodded though, and gave Nishaa a stare that said everything for her. “Mhmmm.” She took up the fadebaby corpse then and hopped the bar, heading to the computer to put it up on auction. Some ritualist would buy it, she was sure.
Nishaa: She watched the woman clutch at the fade baby -- and give her some sort of replicance. Nishaa nodded her head one more time before moving towards the lobby door, she had to sort out her jaw -- and her shoulder, maybe Micah could help her with that one, Nishaa had grown attached to her 'grandpa' she knew the man hated her at the start, she didn't blame him she was a spitfire and a half, but now she was mellow and focused on training. She had no proper home, no place to call her own she usually slept in Every's apartment, she didn't have those spiffy tomes some people had.
She moved out into the brisk night -- headed over to the sewer grate and pushed it to the side and climbed in, the scent of damp, vermin and blood filled her nostrils something she was used to. She needed a shower, the blood by now had become crusty and dry on her shoulder. She walked away with a few scars, and possible a friend or two. The necromancer smiled, it wasn't every day she made a friend. Nishaa was a lot to handle.
