Three small cosmetic updates:
  • The known identities list is now alphabetised.
  • Names on the leader boards are now clickable and will take you to the players CS.
  • Those that have Technokinesis will notice the addition of an 'auction' button when going to the 'Activate Powers' page.

Tracking now takes 0.5 energy but only gives half as much exp as it did. This is in order to make tracking as a skill more useful overall, particularly in battle raids and team raids.

Claim abode no longer works on team raid floors. This may or may not be a temporary change, as we are updating buildings soon, and we'll revisit the dynamics of it once the changes are done, as it might be fairer at that point.

B&E no longer has arrow-based movement. Instead, you can now move as you do on the grid, by clicking on any of the surrounding squares.

You can now rescind violation reports which you previously reported. This makes it possible to attempt to reconcile with which ever group admits to reporting you, in the hopes of being spared.

There is some scheduled maintenance on the dedicated server today, so the site might go down for a while at some point during the next 24-48 hours. Hopefully it won't be down for more than an hour.

Weapon crafting has been made slightly easier and more rewarding. Improving sword or gun parts now only takes 1 energy per improvement attempt, and gives a little bit more exp than it did (per energy point).

Please be aware, however, that weapon crafting was never supposed to be a great way to earn exp. It does give a little more exp than businesses, but that's only because it requires more effort and patience. The potential with weapon crafting lies in making the greatest weapons in the game, and either keeping them or selling them for a small fortune.

We'll continue to tweak the system over the next couple of weeks as needed, but you should find it a little bit less soul-destroying now.

Weapon parts (both melee and firearms) now appear as floor loot and as droppable loot from killing enemies. The NPCs which drop them are as you'd expect, more or less, though the drop rate isn't super common. The areas which spawn them as floor loot are the ganglands slums (for firearm parts) and the catacombs (for melee parts).

There will be more ways to find weapon parts in future.

Weapon parts have a higher base quality rating than random weapons (old swords and customized guns, etc). You're more likely to find very high quality weapon parts than you are high quality pre-assembled random weapons. The weapon parts also come in a wider range of designs than the random weapons.

All private lairs have been changed to security 0. This will not affect anyone's lairs in any way except to make it so that you can feed from thralls without being seen. Door security will have a separate security value, so don't worry.
