Taking Flight (Open)
Kira looked through her lockbox, tossing stuff aside. "Damn it." she muttered. Not finding the items she needed to make more cameras. Always cameras. People always stealing them. Her green eyes narrowed as she shoved the items back inside, pushing the door closed. She really need another one.
She put on gloves and grabbed a bag, heading out to find the buildings she needed to steal from. Making a calculation of how many items she needed of each so she had enough cameras to go in the various buildings she had. She had to space out the crimes to make sure she didn't get caught while the police were busy at one location. Now she could speed off like a killer, she no longer had to teleport from place to place.
Kira stepped up to the door, slipping off her heels and went inside. She hurried off to the first locked door, taking care to unlock it and raided the room of anything she could use or sell. She padded down the hallway, hearing a guard whistling. She watched him closely as he strolled off to the other side of the building. She quickly moved to the other hallway, looking for another room to break into.
She knelt down in front of the door, it was more complicated than the first one. She seriously needed to spend more time practicing the more complex locks. She failed, the alarm went off. "****." she said. She got up and ran for the front door, only for the guards were blocking the way out, then the cops showed up. "**** **** ****." she said. How did they get here so fast? They must have already been in the area.
"Why is there a pair of heels outside?" a cop asked, the guard shrugged.
Kira turned and ran to the back of the building. She needed to find another exit or lure them around so she could get to the front again. She noticed stairs leading up. She went up them, opened a door to the stairwell and kept going up, any doors she found were locked. Just as well since she could see guards roaming those areas as well. She opened the last door that went to the roof.
She walked to the edge of the roof. The roof was dirty and covered in snow in places. She looked down over the edge, she could jump down or jump to the nearest building. If she jumped down, she ran the chance of still getting caught.
"Just kill them all.." Warrior's bitter voice said in her head.
"No.." Kira hissed. She didn't want to kill those who were just doing their job. When she thought about the guards and cops she had killed, she felt a tinge of guilt but she couldn't help it. Once she entered a fight, she kept going and there was no stopping it.
She heard the door open, her head turned, her blonde hair whipping around. It covered her face but she knew she had been found by the cops. She turned to the edge of the roof again, stepping back and ran forward and jumped. Having not used the jumping power other than jumping the gate of the QZ, she didn't realize just how far one could go with it. She went way past the roof she planned on landing on, and there was no roof where she was heading.
"****, this is going to hurt." Kira said, broken leg for sure if she did it right. She braced herself but she didn't understand what happened next. Her shadow from the moonlight that was being cast down on the ground changed, something spread out behind her, she heard her clothes rip at the same time. Her eyes widen as she went upward and then glided down, keeping herself from slamming into the side of the building, Kira's nails shifted to claws and dug into the side of the building. The side of the building gave away and she went down again, she heard strong flapping that eased her to the ground. She landed in a crouching position.
Kira's eyes was still wide. She looked behind her and whatever had happened was gone. Her hands were normal as she rubbed her face. This was a real **** up. The cops saw it all. Her jumping way too far for a human to go and...whatever that just was.
She stood and reached behind her, feeling how big of a rip was in her clothes. She quickly ran down the alleyway, she needed to put space between her and the cops. Course now she was curious as to what just happened. Was it another change? Like her cat eyes she had been told she had at times. She ran across the street and ducked down another alley. She really could use a pair of shoes right about now. It wasn't the snow but the sharp objects that littered the ground that was a problem.

Re: Taking Flight (Open)
Anemoi needed a new hobby. He had nothing to do. His time used to be spent killing people, if he was hired again to kill someone, odds are they would be a damn vampire. He wasn’t walking down that road again. He couldn’t push his time on Kira too much or she might make him regret it.
He had spent all last week training, he felt himself become stronger but he wasn’t sure what the goal was. He didn’t belong anywhere.
He looked up as police cars surrounded a building. Most likely another break in, those were common. He turned down an alleyway as he wasn’t on the best terms with the cops. Thinking he had spent enough time out in the cold, he planned his route back to his apartment but something caught his eye.
“What the..” Anemoi said, did something just fly across? “Don’t tell me there’s flying creatures now.” He muttered. That’s all this town needed was threats from above. He grabbed a hold of his blade and took off after it, he was curious after all but if it was a threat, he wanted to know about it.
However what he found at the end of his search, he hadn’t expect. “Kira..” he said. He wondered if she knew anything about the flying creature. “Hey, did you see something fly over here? Is this a new thing as I sure as hell don’t remember flying creatures being brought up before.” He said. He looked her over now. Raising an eyebrow, “Why are you barefoot?” he asked. He took for granted she didn’t feel the cold but there was surely glass and other unpleasant things to be stepped on.
He put away his blade. He could tell by the look on her face that something happened. “What’s going on?” he asked. “What happened?” he ran a hand over the rip in the back of her clothes, there wasn’t any blood so he wasn’t sure if she was attacked, A couple of misses that just cut her clothes? He had that happen quite a few time. “Did someone do this to you?” he ask, feeling that overwhelming anger again. He took a relaxing breath, grabbed a hold of her and picked her up, he wasn’t taking no for an answer if she resisted. He headed towards Willow Court, where he knew that’s one place she lived. “I’d take you to my place but I’m not sure I’m ready for you to know where I live yet..” he said, trying to joke. Not to say that the only way to it was through the sewers, he wasn’t a vampire or one of those magical humans who could jump over the wall.

Re: Taking Flight (Open)
Kira was lost in thought, thinking of just how badly she screwed up just now. She didn't notice Windy show up, or that he said her name. She blinked as she looked at him, taking a moment to sink in what he asked her. "Fly.." she said, it had been her, hadn't it. Then he asked about her being barefoot. She looked down a moment, "Hum.."
Then it was question after question. "Hold on." she grumbled. How was she suppose to answer if he kept asking more questions. Then he picked her up. "Hey!" she protested, "Put me down damnit." she pushed against him but he had a good grip on her. She could get free if she really wanted to but his heartbeat was relaxing so she just sighed. This was better than getting her feet cut up walking, though she could have just teleported home.
"I'm barefoot because was stealing things and my heels make too much noise to avoid the guards." Kira replied, though if she planned ahead she should have used her B&E outfit and disguise. "No one did this to me.." she said. "I think...I sprouted wings and flew...or at least glided.." she said softly, though she didn't look at him at all. "I've been going through a lot of changes and I guess this is just another one." she added. She wondered if this all had to do with the shifter bridge, it would make sense after all.
She looked at where they were heading, figuring out he was taking her home. He was being nice...
'Don't forget he's male, a paladin and he killed you before..'
Kira closed her eyes, no, she couldn't forget any of that. But what about being there for her when she had no powers and now...
Being carried was embarrassing however, as soon as they entered Willow Court, Kira got free and landed her feet on the ground. This area was better cared for when it came to cleaning up the litter.

“Oh..” Anemoi said when she explained about her being barefoot. His forehead wrinkled when she said she might have sprouted wings. He didn’t know about her shifting abilities, so it seemed even more out there then it should have as the city and its creatures shouldn’t surprise him any longer. “Changes? Like not having any powers during the new moon?” he asked. He wondered what else was going on with her.
He stopped and stared at her when she got out of his arms. He frowned, “I would have brought you to your house..” he said. He moved on, heading to her house, she wouldn’t be free of him just yet. “So, can I see these wings?” he asked. He opened the door and looked down. “What…is…that?” he asked, seeing a fluffy white thing bouncing around. Looking closer, “A new dog?” the thing was so small, one could punt it like a football.
He turned towards her, his first thought was to ask her if she had cut her feet but realized how stupid that was to ask a vampire that. Cuts would heal right away. He was at a loss of what to say to her, he wanted to kiss her but he didn’t want to start a fight so soon. He turned back and took a seat on the sofa, glaring at the cat who was glaring at him. The so called dog kept sniffing at him. “So what is its name?” he asked, making small talk.

Re: Taking Flight (Open)
"There has been more changes then just that.." Kira replied, "But that had been a major one. Wings are not as bad as losing my powers for a night. But I just attracted a lot of unwanted attention right now." she said. She was worried this might get her killed. She didn't want to know what another trip to the shadow realm would do to her.
"You don't need to take me to the door." she replied, but he was moving towards the house anyway. "Hey, I didn't invite you.." she protested. She glared at him, "Yes its a dog." she said, course she didn't know that at first either, thinking it was a fluffy bunny or rat. "Where are you going?" she growled, shutting door so the animals couldn't get out.
He had turned and stared at her, she blinked. "What?" she said, not sure why he was looking at her like that. "I...really not sure how I even got the wings out in the first place." she said, replying to him wanting to see them.
She watched as he went to the sofa and sat down, Sof was glaring at him in a disapproving way. Kira moved over and picked up the cat, setting her on the desk before she decided to attack the man. "His name is Himish." she said, "And you can't be staying here."
Kira went into the bathroom and washed her feet from the grime of the city streets. She came back out, taking off the light weight jacket and looking at the holes in the back. She wondered if Dru could fix it. She tossed the jacket on the back of the sofa. "It's time for you to leave." she said to him.

Anemoi watched Kira as she explained, “What other changes?” he asked. “I rather not end up surprised by something..” he added. He sighed, she was worried about being hunted for a mishap? It was a good reason to worry. “Maybe no one will report this. How are they going to explain a flying figure as big as a person? Even if they do know about all the other strange **** that’s in this city…it’s just out there.”
He smiled, “When have I ever have to be invited to hang out with you.” He replied. He frowned when she said she wasn’t sure how she got them out in the first place, and she had noticed the way he was looking at her. He looked away a moment, watching the small dog. “Why are you trying to kick me out? Expecting someone?” he asked. He looked at her, grabbing a hold of her wrist and pulled her down on the sofa next to him, slightly on him. **** self-control. He pulled her face close and kissed her, “If you’re ever in trouble, you know I’ll fight with you, don’t you..” he said. He wished she would trust him more. His hand moved to one of the rips in her clothes that was in the back, wondering how exactly wings would appear if they did, forgetting that she most likely was getting pissed right about now.

Re: Taking Flight (Open)
Kira thought a moment. "I don't see why you need to know the changes. We're not anything to each other. Not even friends...and even my friends may not know everything going on with me. Well for sure they don't. I don't share everything." she said. Though some of the changes were hard to hide, her shadow moving in ways it shouldn't and attacking people and breaking things, her eyes turning that of a cat's.
Maybe he was right. Maybe the humans wouldn't try to report or explain what happened. Without the Crow spying on everything, then maybe this will never be found out. And he had a point again about inviting himself along. Expecting someone? "No and if I said I did, you'd get all hot headed again." she said. "With you and David, I'm not going to be able to find out if I want a boyfriend or not. Which so far I really don't think I do."
The next thing she knew he had grabbed her wrist and pulled, making her off balanced enough to fall. She was wide eyed as she was kinda on him. "What are you..?" she didn't get the last word out as he pulled her face close and kissed her. She growled at him and pushed against him. Before she could yell at him, he said what he said. "Why? Why fight with me? Put your life in danger for me?" she snapped and when he put his hands on the bare parts of her back, her eyes shifted to that of a cat's. She grabbed the front of his shirt and tossed him over the sofa.
She got up and crossed over to him, jerking him to his feet by the shoulder of his jacket. "I did not say you could touch me. Stop acting like you give a **** about me." she said, her eyes narrowed and she went to attack him, barehanded but couldn't land a good hit, just bruising him which just made her growl.

Re: Taking Flight (Open)
Anemoi frowned, “We’re not even friends? That’s really harsh.” He replied. He suppose he should expect that but still, he was hoping they were on better terms. “Of course I’d get hot headed again. I’ve claimed you, remember.” He added, he already felt his temper raising when she brought up a boyfriend, he wanted to kill David but if he helped keep other guys from wanting her then so be it as well. “Good, you don’t need a boyfriend. You have me.”
At least he didn’t get stabbed yet over the kiss but touching her seemed to have pushed her too far. He however wasn’t expecting to just be tossed over the sofa. Before he could even get up, she was already there, bringing him to his feet and trying to attack him. He didn’t have time to think about her eyes changing or anything else. He dodged her attacks, a few dark marks on his skin but nothing more. “Stop it! I do give a **** about you! Why the hell would I’ve done everything I’ve done! Other…than…you know kill you that one time..” he said. He was still trying to defend him, he grabbed the wrong thing. Rip…”****.” Why was it always the clothes. Her shirt already had problems to start with.
“I didn’t mean to do that. Honest!” he really didn’t want to piss her off more than she already was already. He could tell this wasn’t going to be good. He raised his hands up to block again but something different happened. There was a strong gust of wind and went flying out the window. His eyes widened. “Kira!”
What just happened? Pushing the thought aside, he quickly went outside. “Kira…I don’t know what happened. Please believe me.” He said. He knelt down beside her, looking over the damage from the glass. He removed some of the bigger ones he could get a hold of, the cuts would heal quickly at least. He looked over at the sky as it had already started to lighten and rays of the sun started to peek over, knowing her fear of the sun he grabbed her and brought her inside. He set down on the stairs. “Go up, I’ll look for something to cover the window.” He said. Even if all he could find was a blanket to cover it up for now.

He set down on the stairs. “Go up, I’ll look for something to cover the window.” He said. Even if all he could find was a blanket to cover it up for now.
This was all planned so we’re good RP mods

Re: Taking Flight (Open)
He always made the killing of her seem so minor. Kira may have came back, but she came back different. Would she lose herself more and more as she ended up in that awful place? So why would they be considered friends now? Just because he tries to keep the paladins away from her now? Comes to her side when she needs support? Still, he killed her. How could he be a friend?
Don't need a boyfriend? She had him? This man has lost his ******* mind. His words just made her more upset. "Why should I believe you!?" Kira yelled at him. Men were awful beings to count on. She blinked and paused when she heard her shirt rip. Didn't mean it? ********. He was male. She growled, ready to attack him again.
But what happened next, she couldn't explain. She was lifted up into the air, the sudden gust of wind and she was out through the window. She rolled onto the ground, she could feel the glass in various parts of her skin and her shirt was barely hanging together on one side. She was dazed for a moment even as Windy came next to her and pulled some glass free from her skin. What happened? Did he just do that? Since when did Paladins have powers like that?
She stared at him blankly even as he picked her up. Her green eyes catching sight of the sun as it started to peek over the horizon. Her body tighten and she started to scream bloody murder. Instead of running up the stairs when he set her down, she slumped in the corner of the landing of the stairs, paralyzed. She hugged herself and lowered her head down and seemed to be hyperventilating which for a vampire wasn't likely but she was going through the motions of it.
She barely heard Warrior in her voice calling her pathetic and should be ashamed of showing such weakness in front of a male.

Re: Taking Flight (Open)
--The following was a live chat roleplay--
Anemoi: Anemoi had found a blanket to put over the window, finding a way to stick it up there was another matter. Finding some push pins from the desk, he got the window covered. Kira screaming was a first for him. Battle cries before trying to hurt him was completely different. To hear and see her in such panic, it was painful. He had no idea what it felt like to have such a phobia that would stop you in your tracks.
He moved over to her and knelt down, “Kira, the window is covered. Calm down.” He said. He knew the windows are specially made for the sun and the blanket was lighting up. “Let’s go to the bathroom and get the rest of the glass out.” He said, trying to urge her out of the corner.
Kira: Kira shook her head, pushing herself back into the corner. “I-I can see it…” she said, she was not coming down the stairs. She was panicking and she couldn’t get her mind off the fact she had been outside and so close to seeing the sun. She did not have to worry about being burned, she was a daywalker but it didn’t matter. Her overwhelming fear of the sun kept her indoors.
Anemoi: Anemoi took a hold of her and took her upstairs. “You have to get the glass out. Or does your body just push stuff like that out.” He said, he looked around and made sure he wasn’t going to be surprising anyone living up here. He knew what room was hers from the times he checked out her house while he was stalking her. He went in her room and flipped on the light. He went to set her on the trunk that was at the end of the bed.
Kira: Kira buried her face in him, holding onto him tightly. If she was human, she wondered if she would have had a heart attack by now. She felt that he was trying to set her down, she lifted her head and noticed it was her room. She started to settle down, letting go of him. “No…bullets have to be removed.” She said, lifting her arm and removed some glass. “This is no different.”
Anemoi: “I’ll be right back.” Anemoi said, he went downstairs to the bathroom. It took a while to find where the tweezers were at and took a wet washcloth as well. He returned to her room, he knelt down in front of her. “Going to let me help you?” he asked. “Not going to stab me if I just remove what’s left of your shirt?”
Kira: Kira stared at him for a moment before looking away. “Fine…only because getting the glass out of my back isn’t likely to happen by myself.” She said, she wasn’t sure if she would trust Dave with the task…but Windy? “Not the first male to see me in my bra.”
