Her powers startled him having her speak in his mind through him off greatly. Looking at her he listened to her voice in his head as he wondered how she got this power to begin with. Eyes falling to the claws he seemed very interested in them but will ask about though later on.

When she spoke about death he stood there knowing he needed to be careful, he took this information seriously and did not want to disappoint her in any way. Crossing his arms she spoke about a place called the shadow realm, the name alone spooked him and he didnt want to find out what it was.

Resting his body next to her he gave her permission to show the memories to him. Closing his eyes he mentally prepared for this new experience.

As Alston rested against her, Alexandrea sighed. Her new childe seemed to be a lot more sensitive then any other killer that Alex had ever met. Maybe he had inherited that from her somehow. And he was so accepting of the change he had undergone, she was pretty confused by that. Back when her own sire had offered her a choice of joining with her or dying, Alex had jumped at the chance to be like Rebecca. The elder had seemed so strong and powerful to her back then. And the sexual allure the woman possessed had made her impossible to resist.

When Alexandrea had awoken the next day alone in Quartermaine's bed, she had been confused and hurt. And as months had gone by with no sign of her sire, Alex felt completely alone and abandoned. If she hadn't found her way into the Society of Allurists and met Tempy and Liz, she would have never grown into the Vampire she was now. And she vowed that no childer of hers would ever have to face that kind of loneliness or lack of education. Breyanna stayed quiet most of the time. She did her job working for Alexandrea's business but besides that the young woman mostly slept.

But with Alston, already she felt a stronger bond was forming. Which was why it concerned Alexandrea that the young man was taking his death so calmly. She kept her concerns to herself for the moment, placing a hand on either side of Alston's face and then leaning her own forehead against his. She had only practiced this new gift with her thrall, Morgan, up till now. It had been in a moment of showing concern for her friend after the human had been attacked by another vampire , when by accident the two discovered Alex's new ability to share memories.

Focusing on each of her trips to the Shadow realm in turn, she let the memories of that dark and lonely place fill her thoughts and let them flow from her own mind into Alston. She kept nothing about the experiences hidden, allowing every detail from the moments where she died to the moments she returned to be shared. She held nothing back from him.

Once she was done, she stood up with a shudder and shook her head as if to clear her mind of the unpleasant memories. "Now, Alston, I hope you can understand why it's so very important to do as I say until you able able to learn all I have to teach you so you can keep yourself safe. Once you are ready to begin your lessons, we'll start with Feeding Safely 101."

With the memories his sire shared he wiped a blood tear from his eyes. He felt her pain from the weapons that attacked her and put her in that place of misery. Growling he wanted to charge out and kill who ever did that to her. Before he could get up and attack he looked at her and listened. If he had ran out he would of done the one thing she did not want him to do.

Turning he opened his mind and listened to her wisdom. He wanted to please his sire and obey her word, apart of him looked to her as a parent, and if she were a parent to him she would of been a lot better than his own father. "Feeding, is that hard? I mean. All I have to do is grab someone and bite them." He didn't think feeding would be that hard and what other lessons would he need to learn? Sitting back he awaited his lesson.

"No, you don't just grab someone and bite them." Alex fought to not chuckle as she rolled her eyes and smiled at Alston. "First of all if you can afford it, and you will be able to because I happen to be quite wealthy, you should buy bloodbags to fed. It's safer and more... humane. If you do need to fed then I have friends that are humans that can help but it's important that you know when to stop so you don't kill anyone and I personally find it terribly rude to feed on anyone without permission. Once you grow stronger, there are abilities you can learn to boost your blood and I have the power to heal, restoring blood if you need it."

Standing up, Alexandrea crossed the room and leaned her back against a bookcase and then folded her arms in front of her as she looked over at her new childe. "There will most certainly be times you need to feed and have no choice but to hunt. We'll take a field trip when you are ready and I'll show you the places that are safe and how to control your feeding so you don't drain too much blood from any one human. I'll also attempt to teach you how to erase the humans memory so they don't even know they have been bitten. That doesn't work for me, I have a curse that keep humans I fed from from being able to forget me. You may or may not have inherited that. Only time will tell."

He was stunned. He thought this new life was going to be easy, of course it is life though and with that nothing is ever fair. Watching her cross the room he made a mental note of blood packets. With nothing to say he sat there thinking. He wondered if he should tell his parents what had happened but he also thought if he did would they think he was insane? Sighing he would wait off and work on his powers and then make the trip home to tell his parents. Glancing up he smiled and looked at his sire with all her beauty. He hoped to find someone as beautiful as her in this city.

Maybe he had been in shock and things were finally started to sink in, is what Alexandrea thought as her new childe just sat there looking at her and not saying a word. She pursed her lips in thought and pondered the situation. There was still so much to tell Alston about what to expect from his new 'life', that Alex didn't know where to begin.

"Something that you might find useful to know, is that there are different clans or families of Vampires and many different factions as well. They do not all get along, anymore than humans all get along with each other. But besides keeping your nose out of trouble, it's best that you just don't join any groups until you are... more "established' in your new existence. My Sire was Quartermaine and I've taken that name as my last name. The Q bloodline is small and mostly inactive so my Mentor, Elizabeth Naarc, 'adopted' me into her family."

"I'll have you meet her and we'll see about having you join the Deux Corbeaux family too. But until then, I want you to stay here at my house and don't wander around the city by yourself. If I am busy and you need to go someplace I'll have my friend Morgan accompany you. If there anything from your... human life that you need or want? You can ask me and I'll find a way to get it for you. That haven't made a lock yet that I can't pick as you already know."

"So, any questions or shall we take that field trip now? OR would you refer to rest now?"

He stopped thinking about his family and shook his head. There was nothing of interest that he needed from his home. Thinking of his options he stood and smiled. "Field trip, would be nice." He was eager to learn and he figured he could sleep later when there was nothing left to learn from his sire. Fixing his shirt he stepped forward and held his hand out to her.

"Alright, field trip it is then." Alex took his hand and gave it a firm handshake like her father had always taught her to do. It was important to give a good hand shake, it could make a really good first impression or a really crappy one. Holding someone's hand too limply, too firmly or too long was in very bad form and too many shakes up and down made a person look silly.

"Come on then, follow me." She said after letting him hand go and turning to exit the room. Knowing he would follow her, the blonde went down the stairs and into the workshop whee she had weapons and work clothes stored. She picked out a military uniform she thought would fit Alston and a matching one for herself. Where she was talking him it would be better to look as if they belonged.

Turning around to look for Alston, she wondered if her new childe had any weapons experience and if she should give him a gun or not...

He did not expect a handshake from his sire, he merely wanted to walk beside her. Following her down stairs his eyes widen to see weapons and clothes. Staring at the guns he almost squealed with joy. He was a collector of weapons especially guns. Guns were the only thing Alston could relate to with his dad.

Stepping up to her he looked at the uniform and raised an eyebrow. "Military suit? What is this for?" Rubbing his neck he looked back at the guns. "Very nice collection, I collect myself." He boasted with confidence.

"Do you? So you know how to handle a gun then. That's good to know, one less thing I will need to teach you. And thanks, I've been working on my collection for some time now."

"I prefer a blade in a fight but there are times when you need a gun." Alexandrea smiled and then handed Alston his uniform. "You'll see later, first I need you to go change. The bathroom is right down the hall and to your right." Alex pointed as she spoke and then waited for Alston to leave before closing the door and changing herself.

Once dressed, she picked out a pair of guns for her new childe and armed herself with two of her own favorites. Then she got to work creating a new fake identity badge for Alston that would match her own but lower in rank.

It was easy to hack into the DMV's computers and obtain an image of Alston Hughes for her to print out and use. And with the right quality of photo paper and plastic for the lamentation machine, Alex had a Military ID Badge in no time.

But he childe was still in the bathroom. Maybe he noticed the lack of a reflection in the mirror and got upset? Concerned, she went to the door and knocked.
