Re: Thank You Brick (Open to All)
"Eh don't worry about it," Simon pulled out his cell phone and opened up his Harper Rock Credit Union App. He signed into his account, User ID: Rockguy008. Humming the David Bowie song he set up a transfer. Putting in Renee's contact info he looked at her, "You should have the funds in a day or two." From there he signed out of the app and walked as if nothing happened. "You should pick up the bass. I love the guitar and have thought of learning the bass, or drums. If I learned bass I would try to pull a Peter Steele and play a string bass like a bass guitar. Sadly I'm not part neanderthal so it would look incredibly awkward. Plus I will need to go to the gym for a solid six months just to have the muscle mass to do that," as they moved Simon had taken in all that she said.
Giving the woman a serious look, "I apologize in advanced but your father is a misogynistic asshole with an archaic and untrue view. If I were you I would get a well paying job. Take a photo of myself at my desk, with name plate showing my title, a check in one hand, middle finger waving high in the other. Then a close up shot of my name plate and the check amount. I'd attach them in an email or in the regular mail. I'd title the email or card in the snail mail, 'Whose not important now?!' However, I'm not known for my eloquence," he gave a rueful smile to the woman.
Then she asked about the supernatural. In this city it was an odd question to ask. Maybe a ploy type of question so Simon had to think of diversion, "You mean Aliens and stuff? You clearly haven't been to da bayou. There are clearly people that have been abducted down there. I mean you could only do something of those things if your mind was played with and you were possibly anally probed, on some really good drugs, or both. The chupacabra I'm not sure about. Nessy I want to say is real but probably isn't," he shrugged and kept the lie going. "What else is there? If you're talking about the vampires and stuff, just a plague and nothing more. Mayor says it's contained and a Canadian politician wouldn't lie, right?" Simon hoped Renee was ignorant about Toronto Mayor Ford.

"Well you still didn't have to give me the money." She said as she shook he head looking down at the ground. "I would of been able to rise the money myself...eventually"
"My father just comes from a different time and a different place then most people. It was something that I grow up with. Most people that are in our family and our church community had similar views so it was kind of the norm around there." She knew most people wouldn't understand how things where.
"Well from what I know about politicians, Canadian or not, aren't really known for telling the truth." She let out a laugh. "You believe in Aliens?"

Re: Thank You Brick (Open to All)
"Who doesn't believe in Aliens? There's crop circles everywhere. They may even have Elvis," Simon said as if he was a believer. Deep down he was letting out a sigh of relief. Apparently the diversion to keep her from asking about vampire had worked. Aliens were his new best friend.
"And don't fret about the money. I wanted to help you so I did. That's all it came down to. I'm sorta simple minded that way," he shrugged. What he would not know was within days time he would be nearly broke. If such was the case he would have done it again anyway. Somethings were just very expensive in this city.
"I'm sorry your Dad was a dated fossil. Just do what you can to learn from him. Take the goo stuff, leave the bad, and kick as like you normally do and you'll be fine," a smile was on his face as they moved together. Eventually a new strategy started to form in his mind. "You're not one of those people that believe in the whole vampire thing are you?" he asked with a raised brow looking at her.

"I do know about crop circles and I do know that me and some of my cusins maid a few ourselfs too." She had to let out another laugh. "Now don't get me wrong I don't believe that in all of the 'space' around us that we are the only ones out there but I dont know if they are aliens or the things that come from fairy tales." She would be very greatful for the money "I will pay you back and then some and their is no fighting it." She gave him her best sturn look she could muster up. "I find it easier to believe in vampire then aliens. I mean there are vampire bats and people that eat other people so in one way they are vampires or you could call them zombies. There are a lot of things out there that normal every day people dont know about it." She had to be careful. If she starts to try and hide thing too much her damned shadow would start to act out and she didnt need that till she knew if he was like her or not.

Re: Thank You Brick (Open to All)
((OOC: I had to do a script that was due and a vacation. So I'm sorry about the delay))
Simon looked at Renee, "I will pay you back the excess." The theory about vampires was a good one, "But Zombies aren't real either. I mean if they were real then your theory has viability. Unfortunately we don't live in the land of 'The Walking Dead' and I'm not as cool as Rick Grimes. Just saying," he shrugged. Deep down he hated all the denial. For two reasons he hated the act. One, he was lying and lying a lot. Even if they were made for the right reasons, vampire preservation and all, that didn't mean Simon was a fan of lying. Two, he was probably sounding as crazy conspiracy theorist, or a very opinionated conservative that had little to no give on their thoughts. "And what do you mean by normal people? Are you telling me you're a vampire!? If so, prove it!"
"Could Renee be a vampire?" Simon thought. She could have been a vampire groupie. One of those goth kids that wanted to be a vampire then borrowed from that roleplaying game. Then again what if she was the real deal? At least there wouldn't have been a need to lie.

"Everyone is a a little odd." She said with a sly smile. She decided that it was time to be done playing games. She wanted to know if Simon was just another meal for her or he was a vampire like herself. She had to think of how she was going to do this. She looked around for a moment before it hit her. "Say would you like to come back to my place. It will be warm and we can get something to drink."

"Drinks only. A drink sounds lovely," Simon said with a smile. He didn't know what was planned. Just a chance to warm up sounded so lovely. Despite being a vampire the cold was still a pain in the ***. "I'm one of the oddest people you'll ever meet, that is a fact," Simon grinned at the woman then bowed so she could lead the way.

Re: Thank You Brick (Open to All)
Renee gave a laugh "I think I might be able to out odd you." She said as she started leading the way. Her family had a lot of property that she would be able to take him too but she decided to go to the apartment her sire had left for her and his other childer. It was close by and would not take them.
They walked for only a few blocks before they where standing outside the apartment building. She opened the door and made her way to the elevator. She waited him to join her before pressing the button for them to go up. She was glad that it was not an old building that took forever for the elevator to ascend. Before long they where 8 floors up and the doors had opened.
She led the way over to the door that was so normal and almost comforting to her now that it almost reminded her of her childhood home in America. She stepped in and politely asked him in, if he was a vampire he would not of been able to get in unless he used some power she was unaware of.
"Please ignore some of the odd little thing that are in here. My room mates are really odd." She was mainly talking about the alter that was in the living room. She was unsure her sire had ever used it but she know her sister used it often.

Re: Thank You Brick (Open to All)
Simon moved through the streets. The night sky was over the land. Nearly a year had past since his last conversation with Renee besides in passing comments and pleasantries. Now he was looking for her. Putting his natural tracking skills into the search.
His black suit jacket, with the red lining, moved a little thanks to a gentle breeze. The brown button up shirt he wore was mostly hidden by a black vest that matched his coat and slacks. Looking around all of the alleyways and side streets, Simon was on the hunt for his friend. Why? Conversation.
Well-polished boots were hidden by his pants legs. Occasionally he snapped his fingers and whistled during the search. Everything was done to find her. Shop windows were peeked inside. He waited in a few club lines before going inside to give it a once over. Then memory kicked in and Simon began to hurry.
Renee had a business, a club. For extra loonies Simon offered to work there. Once there he did what was needed just to make it inside. From there it was a matter of finding her. Wading through people, going through hoops, whatever was necessary to find her. Friends were a rarity to Simon so he was trying to bridge a gap with a few. Renee and Pi were on that list.

Re: Thank You Brick (Open to All)
Business had been booming for Renee lately. Numbers where up both in attendance and money. She had hired a few new people to help and even had her new childer working under her heel. She was finally able to find some time to do things outside of her job, though for the most part she still found herself spending a lot of her time there.
It held a special place in her heart. It had been the reason she had come here in the first place. She had meet him here. Her life had changed here. She had died here. She was turned here. She lost the business and was able to open it back up with the help of a friend. He was one of the few people she would call a friend that was not family or in some way connected to the family. For all she knew he had no knowledge of her family, and she was sure most of them liked it that way.
Tonight was like most nights. She had spent the first part of it in the sewers taking care of some of those ridiculous hunters. She had little use for what she could get from them but most of the family needed a lot of it and she was glad to help them out and the training was always fun. She had teleported herself into her office and quickly showered to get the blood and other nastiness off of her.
Once done she changed into the clothing she had her childer bring for her earlier in the evening. At least she did have an eye for some fashion, though with what she had available it would be hard not to. She put on her black leather corset top, thankfully it was a zip up other wise she would of needed help. Her pencil skirt was next followed by her half jacket to help cover up some of the scaring she had. Before she walked out of her office she pulled on her knee highs.
She made her way up the stairs that lead to the bar. Once up she scanned the crowed to see if everything was going as it should and to see if there had been anyone that she recognized in the crowed. She saw a face here and there but for the most part no one stood out at first. Her childer was doing as she should which just meant she wouldn't need a new lesson at the end of the evening. As she scanned again a face did catch her attention this time. It was her friend, Simon. She smiled as she came from behind the bar and made her way to him.
