Contemplation had taken hold of him ever since Friday, Liam's definition of the Sixth Day, for he had happened across Gambat while he had been out on a stroll. He had not spoken, had not made himself known, not exactly sneaking away, just entering and leaving the area unnoticed. Now it was Monday, the Second Day, and he felt he should talk to Gambat, as they had not spoken since what had taken place for Liam and Elliot to become acquainted with each others existence.
Three months prior to tonight Liam had been attacked, seemingly by Robert Pratt, but the attack had come from a gun, a weapon Robert never used, and given events that had happened the previous year, Liam was suspicious, went digging. Sure enough, Madison found that Gambat had used the changeling ability of the shifter powers, changing his face to look like Robert, and let Liam know. No one else had reported being attacked by the head of Solace, and then the email had come. Elliot had been attacked in the sewers, by Liam, only Liam had not been in the sewers, Liam had not attacked. Once again Gambat attacked another vampire using someone else’s face. A hunt had begun, but Gambat escaped death and left town, but was now back.
“Aye, I'll go see Gambat” he said out loud, though quietly and to himself, while he sat at the computer where he was holed up.
It was still early in the day, and he was sure no one would be looking for him just yet, but he didn't want to go alone. Safety in numbers was his line of thinking, then Liam was pulled abruptly out of his thoughts by an excited squeal from the nearby ritual altar, the demi-fae that had been conjured vanishing upon successful completion of the ritual that had just been performed.
"I'm guessin' it worked then? Which one were ya doin'?"

Re: Hidin no more, hide some more... (Jezebel Tzasun and Gam
A hermit. She had managed to drive herself back to being a damn hermit despite her intentions of not doing that again. The only time she had ventured out of her hiding spot was if she needed to feed seeing as apparently someone or a group of people wanted her dead. Jez, or Jay as she had gotten used to being called, had settled herself in over the course of the past couple of nights or so to get back into doing her rituals and the occasional painting.
Upon completing one she had never attempted she had let out a possibly overly excited squeal that had caught his attention. She ducked her head down a bit, thinking she had disturbed him at first, but the thought soon disappeared. “Well first it was Ichnocognition and then the Home Bound ritual thing. I’m getting used to doing these things finally. Most of the time I’m completing them on the first attempt…So that’s good, right?”
The woman left her spot long enough to check on her two cats, Trigger and Xander. The noises those two were making from somewhere in the bedroom were quite annoying. Jez peeked into the room real quick only to have Trigger claw at her leg before running out of the bedroom. “Ouch! You little monster!” She rubbed her leg real quick, grumbling and mumbling the entire time before she hobbled over to him. “I’m tired of being cooped up.” Without thinking about it she reached past him and clicked on a few things on the screen, huffing a bit at everything as she closed it all out again.
Turning on her heels, she went to the couch, plopping herself down on it only to have Trigger jump into her lap the moment she stretched her legs out. She scratched gently at a spot behind his right ear and almost instantly he curled up in her lap. “Don’t get too comfortable fur ball.” Her gaze shifted from the cat to Liam and back again several times before Trigger got up and ran off to go attack Xander again. As soon as she was sure the cat wasn’t coming back in the blink of an eye, she got up and put her boots on. She was more than determined to get out of there. “Any plans you have in mind? Please tell me you do…”
As soon as she got up, Trigger and Xander came running back into the room, chasing each other in circles around her feet. “Oh stop it you two!” She inched closer to the door as carefully as she could. At that point she was going out with or without him, but her cats didn't want to let her leave. “Go see someone? Something? Anything before these two end up getting used for something!”

“That is absolutely brilliant!” he exclaimed when she told him about the rituals. “Seems my protégée is seriously talented. You really have picked up rituals very quickly. Like you have a natural flare for them.” He watched as she got up and moved around, laughing when she yelled at Trigger for clawing at her leg.
“Yeah, you and me both love. We need to get out of here.” While she was putting her boots on he was putting on his foot wear too, laughing at her being tormented by the kittens. Those two were always a menace, but lovable at the same time. “Aye, actually, I do have an idea. Gambat is back in town, saw him around either Friday or Saturday, Friday I think. I was thinking of tracking him down and find out what he's been doing for the last three months or so since his antics regarding hitting me as Robert, and then Elliot as me.”
He stood up and joined her at the door “what do you think?”

“I suppose you could take it as far as to say I have a natural flare for them, but I think it’s all due to my wonderful teacher.” Jez was wary of her cats. She knew how they were at times, especially when they realized that she was hiding from something or someone. “I’m proud of myself…Though most might not see it as much but to know that I managed to achieve something, even something so small, makes me happy.”
Her boots were her favorite things to wear for most outings but every once in a while she settled for sneakers or no shoes at all. Trigger ran up to her again, trying to claw her legs only to catch the front of her boots instead. “Haha you little imp.” Xander sat there watching Trigger trying desperately to get at their owner’s legs, and as if right on cue or if annoyed with his friend’s actions, Xander pounced him and they scampered off again. “Well, at least someone keeps that little monster in line.”
Jez blinked and watched the cats as they started running around and around in circles around the coffee table in the living room. Her attention quickly went to him at the mention of Gambat. One brow arched a bit until he explained why he wanted to go look for him. If she tagged along that meant having to actually be nice to someone and in a sense socialize in a weird way. The inner hermit in her screamed out no way but the side of her that wanted to get out of there screamed yes to the idea of tracking someone down.
“Well, that does sound as if it would be a bit more fun than hanging around here watching this two try to kill each other.” With that being said she motioned to the cats that were still busy chasing each other all over the place as if they were playing a weird game of tag. She fell into complete silence as she thought about who exactly Gambat was. Jez was sure she knew him but she couldn’t put a face to the name no matter how hard she tried.
She was certain she remembered Liam mentioning something about him, and in fact she was sure it was exactly what he had just mentioned, but still her mind was blank as to the who exactly the man was or why she had a feeling she knew him. The cats ran by her, heading toward the bathroom only to quickly run back out of there and over the tops of her boots before disappearing into the bedroom again. “Let’s go before they get back out here and try to claw my boots up more.” One of her hands went up to cup his cheek momentarily before she patted in lightly a couple of times. As soon as she dropped her hand back down to her side out the door she went, closing it behind her just in case the cats came out of the bedroom and tried to follow her. Yeah, she had just left him on his own to try to sneak out the door without them noticing. “You might want to hurry! They’re sneaky little creatures!” She called out as she tapped on the door lightly with her knuckles.
The cats heard the tapping and came out of the room, though they stopped just a couple of feet past the doorway. They stared at him but made no effort to get any closer. It wasn’t him they were worried about the most. Their owner had already snuck out when they weren’t looking after all, and though they could have followed him out they opted for going back into the bedroom and curling up on the bed.
Jez opened the door just enough to be able to stick her hand inside and wave at him. “Come on. Hurry up. Let’s go find Gambat before I change my mind.”

Might want to hurry? She had a bloody cheek saying that to him after sneaking out and closing the door behind her, leaving him inside alone with the twin terrors Trigger and Xander. When they headed off back to the bedroom Liam sighed, something inside him pulling, a sadness, but he couldn't tell why. It was like he was feeling sad for something that was still yet to happen, something in the very near future.
Liam was pulled out of his thoughts when she opened the door and spoke again, quickly masking how he felt with a smile before she could see his feeling upset on his face. “Aye, they've gone back to the bedroom, so best to hurry now.” Shooing her out of his way he made his way outside, closing the door behind him and walking beside her.
He remembered that she had told him some time ago about what was probably her first encounter with Gambat, when she had been curious about necuratism, that it had been him she went to for information. “Have you seen Gambat at all since last year? I remember you saying something about him being the one, or one of the ones, you spoke to when you wanted to know more about being a vampire cannibal” he said with a bit of a laugh. “I just cannot remember you sayin' anything since then about having spoke to him?”
While he was talking, Liam had taken out his phone and started typing out a message, which he sent to the number he had for Gambat, hoping it was the right one.
“Gambat, it's Liam. Are you free at the moment? I saw that you are back in town, and Jezebel wants to get out for a bit, so thought we could come see you, talk over a few things. Where can you meet us?”
Reading it over to make sure it sounded okay in his head, he nodded to himself to say he was satisfied with the wording and then hit send, turning back to Jez with a smile, even though that feeling of dread from earlier was still present, if not worse.
