--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
This RP took place in Goth Garb on Wednesday 4th December.
Shannon: ~Shannon pulled the hood of his sweater up and over his head, casting a shadow over his face. Reaching forward, he grasped the handle of the door to his home and twisted it open. He locked the door and slipped out into the cold night, heading towards the marketplace to visit a goth store he visited quite often. He enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, and the young woman who ran it was rather attractive and easy to be around. It took him a half an hour to get to the shop, hands stuffed into his pockets to keep them warm as he walked into the shop~

Keara: Keara was out the back of the shop working on a skirt when she heard the shop door go. She finished the seam she was working on and took her foot off of the peddle, while there were many things in this century she saw no need for, the sewing machine wasn’t one of them as it made making garments a lot easier. Going to the front of the store, she stood over by the counter and watched the familiar looking young man. She didn’t have a lot of problems with thieves and she usually didn’t work the till, but the usual cashier was on a break since Keara was there for a few hours. “If help you require, assist you I can,” she said in her most cordial voice.

Shannon: ~Shannon looked up and smiled at the young woman. He didn't say a word though. He wasn't mute or shy, he just didn't like using his voice or speaking. He never really had to, since his parents always knew what he wanted for the most part. His eyes studied the woman's face for a moment, then gave a polite nod and went back to browsing the shop. Already finding two shirts he liked. Turning, he held the shirt up in front of him as if asking her opinion of it, and if it would look alright on him.~

Keara: She kept an eye on the male and when he turned and looked at her she nodded politely. “Suits you that does. And saying that I am not to make a sale.” Keara ran her hand over the counter, allowing herself to be distracted by the feel of the metal edging beneath her fingertips.

Shannon: ~Shannon offered her a polite smile and folded the shirt over his shoulder as he begun to search for a pair of pants that would go well with the shirt. A frowned formed on his face, then looked back up to the young woman, waiting to catch her eye before making a finger movement to the rack with the pants on it. He couldn't find anything he liked~

Keara: The gesture was just within her eye line and served to bring her back to reality and so she moved a little closer to him, one of her hands keeping contact with the nearest shelf, rack or item of clothing. “Have you need of something?” she asked looking from him to the rack he’d pointed to.

Shannon: ~He held up the shirt, then narrowed his eyes at the rack, then returned his gaze to the woman. His parents had recently sent him some cash for the holidays. He smiled politely, and held the shirt up to him again, and pointed at the pants and shook his head, hardly noticing the other people entering into the store~

Keara: She turned to look at the people entering the store and then looked back to the young man she was dealing with. He looked a little like her brother Weylin and six months ago that might have been enough to send her catatonic but as things stood now, she was better able to deal with her grief and so was able to stop the sadness overwhelming her. “If so impolite I might be, helpful it would be if you your question could for me voice. Misunderstand you I wish not to.”

Shannon: ~He frowned at this. He really hated using his voice. He turned his head to glance at the people that came into the store and studied them for a moment. He didn't like the look of them too much, and another frown formed on his lips. He turned back to the young woman and spoke: "Can't find pants that match"~ he kept it short and simple~

Keara: "If nothing like you do, welcome you are your own to design. Have we do catalogue...somewhere. Tendency have the staff of things out here to move. Know not why," she said moving over to the counter to see if she could find the catalogue and her portfolio.

Shannon: ~It took him only a few seconds to understand what she said, then gave her a warm smile and followed after her. He liked looking at the catalogue. He always finds things in there he wanted. He turned to glance at the people once more, frowning a little. He had the urge to leave the shop, but he also wanted to look at the catalogue. He thought for a moment, then quickly spoke~ Do you have one I can take home?

Keara: She shook her head in answer to his question, not really sensing what the young man was from the people than had entered the store, but then she rarely feared humans unless of course they were in larger groups. “Only store copy have we. But welcome you are a seat to take if wish you do the pages over to look.” Turning her attention the others that had entered she asked, “If help you I can, let me know please.”

Shannon: ~He shook his head and put the shirt on the counter, his hand reaching for his wallet of money~ I'll just take shirt ~he wanted out of that store. Those people made him nervous. Then again, everyone made him nervous to some degree. He offered the young woman a shaky smile as he waited for her to ring up his purchase. He kept his eyes forward the entire time, He couldn't wait to get back to the safety of his home. He might return the next day or so to look over the catalogue~

Keara: Taking the shirt from him she scanned the tag and began folding it neatly. It was just as she made a move to total the purchase that the pair of men that had entered produced weapons. One had a knife, the other a gun. The guy with the gun quite firmly stating that she should empty the register quickly and quietly. According to the not so convincing man, if she complied, no-one would get hurt.

Shannon: ~Shannon froze as he felt the blade of the knife against his throat. He should have left sooner. He stood frozen, unable to move due to fear. He heard what the other man said, and his eyes moved to the young woman's face, then closed them. He had no weapons on him, and he felt useless right now. Slowly his hands turned to fists as he awaited the outcome~

Keara: Not the sort to allow people to rob her but also the sort that tried to hide what she was, Keara first tried to reason with the men, watching as one placed a blade to her customer’s throat. Perhaps she wouldn’t have cared had it been someone else but this was like watching someone hold a blade to Weylin’s throat. An irritated growl escaped her throat and she looked the guys over once more. “Suggest I do that rethink your purpose here you do. If leave now. Harm you I shall not have too.” She was doing her best to remain calm, even going as far to dig her nails into the soft flesh of her palms as she spoke.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Shannon: ~Held completely still as the blade pressed into his throat, drawing just a tiniest drop of blood. This caused Shannon to shudder in fear, already giving up on the situation. If only he had brought his pocket knife or some other weapon. His eyes shot to the young woman as she spoke, not understanding what she was doing. These men could kill her easily, and there was nothing he could do about it. He winced as the one who held the knife to his throat laughed at Keara's words~

Keara: She smelt the young man’s blood before she saw it and she didn’t much like being laughed at; these two things caused her to rethink her strategy as while she didn’t much care for money, she had a feeling these two were not about to walk out of the store without doing something stupid first. Her eyes were firmly fixed upon the man with the gun and without giving her actions much thought, she reached out enacting one of her powers and grabbed a hold of his exposed wrist. The flesh beneath her grasp soon began to smoulder and the guy struggled to pull it back, shooting her in the shoulder as he cried for her to let go. Her wound welled up with black blood that seem to evaporate from the surface, though this fact was only noticeable to any paying close attention as her black top seemed to hide the fact from a fleeting glance in her direction.

Shannon: ~The scent of burning flesh, caused his nose to wrinkle up. Then when the gunshot went off, he winced, the sound hurting his ears. He watched at the bullet made impact with the young woman and froze solid, not understanding what he was seeing before him. her blood came out, but wasn't the normal color. The black blood made him sick. His eyes moved up to her face, which was the last thing he saw before he fainted from all the noise and excitement~

Keara: She’d barely flinched from the gunshot wound as she was far too used to fighting and the like to worry about a flesh wound, but when the young man fainted and the guy almost cut his throat for being too slow to react, she didn’t waste much time taking the two men out. First she blinded the guy with the knife, after he let go of Shannon that was and let his body slump to the floor, obviously about to flee from having seen her bleeding or burning his friends flesh. With him staggering around, she worked on the guy she still had a hold of. Practically breaking his wrist, she twisted the gun back on him and shot him in the stomach. As he staggered back and fell to the floor, the gun now on the floor, she jumped over the counter, took a hold of the other guy by the head and snapped his neck. Keara moved back to the first guy and stood over him, looking to see if the wound would be sufficient enough to kill him or not. She glanced from him to the young boy, bent down to retrieve the gun and without giving it much thought shot him between the eyes. She then bent down to check on Shannon, all the while knowing that she should be locking the door and switching off the lights so that no-one would come in. The gunshots were bound to draw attention and she had no-idea at that moment in time how she was going to explain what people had heard. Still, for a few moments it could all wait, as while she could hear Shannon’s heartbeat, she needed to check the wound on his neck.

Shannon: ~it took Shannon a few moments to wake up after hitting the ground. His neck hurt and felt wet, and his hand instantly went to it, and when he pulled it away, all he saw was blood. This was when he started to shake violently. His eyes focused in and out until he saw the young woman's face. His heart race all the more, pumping his blood out through the wounds on his neck quicker. He couldn't say anything, just flick his eyes from her shoulder to her face, then around at all the mess. He felt like he was going to be sick once again, his head falling back and hitting the ground, his eyes closing~

Keara: He woke, albeit briefly and so she knew that for now he was alive. As he slipped back into unconsciousness she moved to switch the lights off and lock the door. The as quickly as she could she picked up the two men and took them out the back. She then returned to Shannon, knelt next to him, grabbed for the nearest article of clothing and pressed it to his neck wound. She could boost his blood if she had too but at that moment in time she wanted to wait and see if she could first stop the bleeding.

Shannon: ~His eyes flashed open and stared up at the woman as she pressed the cloth to his neck, his voice coming out weak and near silent; "What, are you?" His eyes were wide with terror as he stared at her, his hands pressing against the ground as he tried to push himself away from her, though already starting to feel the effects of blood loss~

Keara: What was she to do? His question clearly showed he knew too much to let him leave and yet he looked too much like Weylin for her to be able to bring herself to finish what the man had started. She stayed quiet and looked from him to the door, thinking she heard someone outside. “Hush now,” she said softly, “Wish I do not your life to take if you betray the fact that we here are you do.” If the guy was any good at reading people, he may have seen the sincerity in her eyes, but then even if he didn’t, the bodies he’d seen may have been enough to back up her words. “What I am matters not,” she began when she was sure who ever was outside, if in fact there had been anyone, had gone. “What matters does is wound that sustained you have.” She pulled back the t-shirt in her hands to see if he would likely bleed out and die or if there was any way to save his mortal life.

Shannon: ~As she pulled the cloth away, he rolled to the side and begun to crawl away from her, though never taking his eyes off her face" You’re not human" his voice was a little weaker now and blood continued to come from the wound, his heart pumping hard. His eyes started to focus in and out again as everything around him became fuzzy, and his stomach felt as if it was twisting and turning. His eyes closed finally and he stopped moving. He started to give up on his situation, he knew he couldn't escape. He should have just stayed home. His heart was weakening now, and his breathing begun to slow~

Keara: He was dying in front of her eyes and worse, in her eyes at least, he seemed afraid of her. This brought back memories as to how her family reacted when they first heard of her true nature, not that she was supposed to tell them. The look of betrayal she’d received then as if she’d chosen to be turned was something she’d never forget, even if her family did calm and come to terms with her predicament. She crawled over him as he lay on the floor and turned him so that he lay on his back. Without giving it much thought, or perhaps having given it too much thought, she bit into her wrist and placed the punctured flesh to his lips. In the space of a few seconds many thoughts ran through her mind, the last of which being Enver telling her she needed more friends; something she disagreed with as family were far more important, and so here she was turning yet another.
