"Seus - noph - ynes - athe - usu - ton ..." Ursula chanted in her soft, enchanting, musical ebb and flow that she had picked up years before she had even been turned. Her mother and aunt had taught her when she was young that words - even those that sounded like gibberish - held power. A great amount of power. This is a power that she was coming to understand more and more the stronger she got as a vampire.
It seemed weird, almost wrong and unnatural that she would hold power still as a vampire that she had held as a human. A vampire was the very opposite of nature, nature that had held her power in its womb. Now though she wasn't just able to tap into that, she was able to expand on it. The tomes that she had picked up taught her the words, words she had no idea what they meant, nor the order to put them in, but at least it taught her how to conjure Demi-fae - a race she didn't believe in until she saw it standing before her as she started to chant those words, reading them from the tome.
In the back of her mind she could feel that she was no longer alone in her apartment. That meant one thing, her boyfriend had returned from wherever he went for the night while she had gone out to eat and then came back here to work on her rituals. She wanted to learn them fast and furious, to the point that she would often spend almost the entire night chanting insane and weird words to a race she hadn't known existed before she came to Harper Rock. She was glad that Jordan was good enough to know not to mess with her while she was like this, not to mess with her until she either succeeded or failed. Usually she failed so usually she would be in a huffy mood - especially if the Demi-fae in question not only managed to get away but smash her head in before it did.
"Eren..." Her eyes opened momentarily as she felt the circle start to fail, she tossed another ear into the pot and went back to chanting. She stayed like this, sitting on her knees, red peasant skirt out around her to hide how she was sitting. Her usual white button down was replaced with a chemise blouse under a corset. This was what she wore when she conjured and chanted, preforming rituals both new and old.
More words, the ring weakened and then dispersed as she failed the ritual for the last time. The Demi-fae escaped and she let out a little growl. "Damn it!" She said before she glanced at her Grimmore and picked it up, writing down the words. The thing was filled with incantations that either failed or succeeded. She grumbled as she continued to write.
