Strategy, Signs and Silverlight

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
This RP is set on Saturday 23rd November 2013 in Silverlight Fairground.
Enver: He was leaning up against the fence of the fairground, waiting for her, working on a cigarette. The male was wearing blue jeans, sneakers and a leather jacket. With one foot on the fence and a cigarette in his hand, the male waited, grinning from ear to ear at the events that were going to be unfolded tonight.

Keara: Keara knew they were heading to the fairground but he had said dress comfortably and well, this was the outfit she’d chosen to dress in. She’d been working on it while he was away but it had only really come together in the last few days. White wasn’t appropriate for the fairground perhaps but she didn’t know if they’d be going somewhere else later, and more to the point…she didn’t care. She liked the dress and she was determined to wear it the next time they went out and well, this was that time. As she arrived, she held out her hand to him as was their custom and curtsied as she did so.

Enver: He finished his cigarette, snuffed it out between two of his fingers, then pocketed it in his waist length leather jacket. At about this time, the male heard something, or, someone. He cleared his throat and turned towards the entrance of the fairgrounds where he saw a vision in white. Radiant red hair, but white from head to toe, minus the few grey areas in the dress. His jaw hung open as he watched her approach, not sure how she put that in the category of comfortable. When a hand was held out to him, followed by some custom he'd seen in movies before and a few times with her, he took the hand and kissed it quick. Maybe even too quick. but there were a lot of things rolling through his mind at the second. "You know where we're at, yeah?" He looked at her, his jaw still agape. "I mean, I'd feel real bad if it got ruined tonight. And it might." He admitted as a hand went through his hair.

Keara: “Worry I rarely do for the garments I wear. Repair damage I can. Or make another. Clothing replaceable is Enver,” she smiled at him. “Told you I did that this dress something for me was. Right I was. Yes?” She turned around in the dress so that he could see it better, fanning it out at the side as she did. The slit in the main skirt went right up the middle and if it wasn’t for the mini skirt she’d added beneath it, would have revealed entirely too much of her. “If in my way it is tie it up perhaps I can.”

Enver: He watched her spin around in it, as if she were modelling it for him and he nodded his head, grin still on his face. "Yeah. It suits you nice, I reckon." He realized that that might not be what she was looking for in an answer, so he furthered his thoughts. "You look enchanting." He winked at her as he dug a hand in his coat pocket, feeling rather under-dressed now. As she spun around, he stepped closer to her, until he was behind her. When she was all the way around and facing him, the male leaned down and brushed his lips against her cheek. "Ready?" He asked, holding an arm out for her to take if she wanted to and he hoped she did.

Keara: As his lips brushed her cheek, her hand came up to rub at the skin he’d just brought to life with his touch. She took his arm when it was offered and instead of lashing out at him for what he’d done, she waited till they were moving and then bumped his leg with her hip in an almost playful manner. “Unnoticed that did not go. Boundaries have we for a reason you know.” She looked to him with a not so innocent glint in her eye and though he may have missed that fact, he couldn’t have failed to miss the manner in which her words where intended as she then poked her tongue out at him for good measure.

Enver: "True." He said with a chuckle, then looked at her from the side as they walked to their location. "But a kiss on a cheek is hardly pushing boundaries. I give that to my grandma each Christmas." He winked at her, then tugged her to the left to a large building on the fairgrounds. "It doesn't look like much, you see, but don't let it fool you. Might want to hike that dress up a little though." He said after holding the door open for her.

Keara: She looked into the dimly lit building, doing as he suggested, as she hoisted her dress on either side. “Care I do not what your boundaries are with your grandmother,” she almost laughed as she said that, “Care only for yours and mine. As if comfortable I am not, know we both well enough what happen shall.”

Enver: "You'll show me a good time?" He chuckled, then ducked in to the building after her. The inside was dimly lit, besides a red light that was above their head to the side of a booth. There was a listing of prices for events, group rates and single rates, then a price listing to borrow equipment and weapons. To the left were lockers that could be rented for fifty cents, which he'd get to later. The guy behind the counter gave them both a look, but more so her. "She likes to challenge herself." Enver said to the guy as he grabbed his wallet from his back pocket. "We'll need two, for an hour and whatever you suggest for equipment and weaponry." He paid, asked the guy to break some money so he could get change for the lockers and then slipped out of his coat. He would be wearing a black tank top, with grey trim around the neckline and sleeve area and nothing else on top. "Good thing we're on about boundaries tonight. We'll have to set some more." He winked as the guy gave them what appeared to be plastic guns and some sort of chest plate with a large diamond in the middle. The guy told them their hour started when they entered the arena, to which Enver just nodded. "Ladies first." He motioned to the two identical guns on the counter and the chest pieces.

Keara: ‘Equipment’ and ‘weaponry’ the two words were like music to her ears and she smiled as she realised she was about to experience something new and exciting. As Enver readied himself, she cast her eyes around the room, waited till no-one was looking and then produced her dagger from a rather precarious place on her upper right thigh. Reached around Enver she placed it in his locker and when she caught his eye she gave him this look that seemed to say, ‘Well you didn’t think I’d be unarmed did you?’ She then grabbed her skirt and rolled it as best she could at the front, tying it in front of the bodice, the mini skirt now plainly visible and she grabbed the loose hanging section at the back, bunched it in the middle and forced part of it up and under her bodice. If she was going to have to fight, she didn’t want to give him the advantage of having such free flowing clothing for him to grab at. As for the weapon, she picked up the one nearest her and waited for Enver to explain what they were actually about to do.

Enver: He watched her, simply amazed at how practical she could be in the matter of seconds. "Huh." He said as he closed the locker, then returned back to the plastic guns. He didn't pick it up at first, he instead put the chest piece over his head and fitted it to his body size. "It's a game." He began, before grabbing the gun off the table. "We could do it a couple ways. I'll let you pick. We can decide on how many times a person is shot with a laser before being "out," or play something along the lines of capture the flag." He looked back at her, wondering what interested her.

Keara: She stared at him almost blankly as he explained and then pointed to the breastplate. “Help me with that you probably should and…understand I do not what ‘capture the flag’ is. So explain further you must before I a decision can make.” She pulled back her hair, having pulled a hairband from her cleavage and began securing her hair, so that it hung down her back.

Enver: "Yeah, sure." He nodded all too happy as he set the fake gun down, grabbed the chest piece and began putting it on her with a pull of an arm in one way, a pull in another way and then finally securing it at each side. He gently pressed the center of her chest, a hand accidently brushing against the top of her bodice. "Looks secure to me." He said with a grin, then went on to explain the idea of capture the flag. "We each have a flag. You've got to get mine, or I've got to get yours and bring it back to your side, or base." He leaned in close to her ear. "Oh, and no powers tonight. Leave them at the door. Gives you the full experience of the game." That and he knew with her being a shadow, she'd whip his *** in a matter of seconds with some of those shadow powers.

Keara: She allowed him to pull her about and secure the thing to her chest. She still wasn’t sure what it did exactly. She could only assume it was the target for her shots, as paintballs in the outfits they were wearing would be silly and for a human incredibly painful. “So this game is you against I?” she asked for clarification but didn’t really allow him the time to reply before adding. “And what get I when win I do?”

Enver: He nodded his head at her first question. "Yeah. You versus me." He snorted when she suggested she would win, even though she was obviously the more tactical of the two. "Whatever you want." He said. "If I win, I get to pick how I greet you from here on out. Be it a kiss to your hand or a kiss to your lips." He grinned wider. "Some rules first. No touching the other person. This isn't a wrestling match." He winked, throwing her own words back at her for light of it. "No powers and no pointing those laser things in people's eyes. That's what these are for." He rapped on the chest piece.

Keara: She tilted her head ever so slightly to the right and down and looked up at him when he suggest that their greeting might change. Had they not just spoken of boundaries and here he was trying to push against them once more. However she was confident in her skills and even if she’d never played before, she was sure that it wouldn’t take her long to get her head around it. “No touching. No powers. If false with me you play in that, then greet me for a year you shall in any custom I so choose. Same if I false play goes for you. Of course, know you do that natural ability have I no control over. So natural speed and dexterity permissible must be.” She was very matter of fact about the rules and was yet to address the proposal of him picking their greeting. “If win you perhaps that acceptable might be. Only…if…and only if win you do…agree you must me never so to greet in public. A kiss to my hand the only acceptable greeting is unless we alone are. If win I do, then…” she thought about it. There was nothing she wanted right now, she was more than content with the way things were. “Then…hmmm…nothing can I think of that wish I do.”

Enver: A year?! She sure was driving a hard bargain, that was for damn sure. Now he wasn't so sure he wanted to play the game after all, what if he accidently touched her? He gritted his teeth and nodded anyways. Only in private? Now she was being silly, or he thought so. What the hell was wrong with kissing someone's girlfriend in public? He wasn't going to do anything more than that in public. He rubbed at his jaw, thinking on some things, then cleared his throat. "Seems acceptable," Enver started out, not really thinking it was acceptable. "But I change my mind. If I win, you decide the next day we go on." The male looked around the red lit room, then back at her. "If you don't want anything, I'll let you go in and give you a few minutes. Which game are we playing?" He asked her, having not heard if they were doing elimination or capture the flag style. "And yeah, natural abilities are fine." He waved a hand in the air, not bothered by that.

Keara: She shook her head. “No. Terms unacceptable are. Change your mind in this you cannot. But adopt your second suggestion I shall. If win you do then greet me you may by a kiss upon my lips to place when in private we are. If win I do, then the next date arrange I shall. Though sure I am that anything that by me planned not to your liking shall be. Regardless. If those terms acceptable are then think I do that allow we should for number of shots. That only fair is as know I do not the field of play. No powers. On pain of punishment. No wrestling. Do I the rules now understand and like you the terms?” she’d rattled off the whole speech rather quickly but she wanted to make sure she knew exactly what she had to do.

Enver: "Fine, fine." He waved her off, not really caring about the terms anymore. Not if she was bothered with him kissing her in front of people, even people they didn't even know or care about. "What's a good number? Five?" He asked her, making sure his equipment was still attached to him. "So, you ready?" He asked her. If she was, she'd be greeted with psychedelic colors and large, pretend fixtures, from fake buildings, to barrels and large foam columns.

Keara: She reached out and grabbed a hold of the hand he’d waved at her. “Something wrong is. Did I something for you to offend?” she asked genuinely concerned as his earlier playful manner seemed to have disappeared. “And the truth on this I would have please.”

Enver: "Not really." He shook his head. "I mean-I guess I don't get what the big deal is about a guy kissing his girlfriend. In public. I mean if it bothers you that people might knew we're together-" He stopped after trailing off and shrugged.

Keara: “Oh. Worry I do not for who knows Enver. My family already aware are. Announced as much I did on our family forum. And sure I am that there other ways are for us to show that we together are, to those that us do not know. Just…comfortable I am not yet for that to do. What if kiss me you do and ready I am not. Wish I do not to slap you with others watching. That…” she sighed and looked down at his hand. “That us both would embarrass. Me for my lack of control and you for the fact that I that sometimes do. If that perhaps sense does make.”

Enver: "Oh." He said, having not thought about that before. "Yeah. I guess that makes sense." He nodded, grinning again. "Alright. The terms are acceptable." He grabbed for the door to hold it open for her. "Time's ticking." He winked at her, waiting for her to disappear in the set.

Keara: She was expecting some other kind of reaction as when things did take a turn for the worst between them they usually stayed that way for a while, so when his mood brightened once more, she looked up into his eyes, nodded and made her way into the playing field. She cast her eyes about adjusting to the strange lighting. She didn’t like that much and could serve to keep her off balance. “First to five,” she confirmed as she began making her way through the place so that she could get used to the terrain.

Enver: He gave her a few minutes, as promised, then followed after her. He stood by the door for a few seconds, waiting for his eyes to adjust before the male crouched down and decided to go left and duck behind a bunch of barrels as he canvased the colorful field, searching for her. When he didn’t see her at first, the male slowly progressed to a large foam column, where he pressed himself against it and waited to see where she would be, his eyes looking left, right and behind him every few seconds.

Keara: She was used to getting strange looks and as she moved around the course, looking for vantage points and the like, she got more than a few. Usually she didn’t really notice but in such close quarters it was hard to miss. A boy in his late teens was staring at her like she was an alien and so she made a move to get away from him as quick as possible. Now, while it was true to say she was usually graceful on her feet, this terrain seemed to have inclines and declines in the strangest of places and in her haste to escape the eyes of the staring child, she lost her footing and slid down a small embankment. She growled in frustration at herself and got to her feet unaware that Enver had even entered the room.

Enver: She wasn't hard to see, sliding down on the ground, in white. The lights illuminated her dress in the varying colors in the room as she got on her feet. The male crouched low to the ground, pointed his gun at her and took a shot. He missed, not seeing the target light up, but also gave his location away. He growled in fury, rolled to another fixture, hoping she'd still think he was where he once was.

Keara: She couldn’t be mad at him for taking advantage of her predicament; as if the roles were reversed she would have done the same. It was almost fortunate really as in the moment he tried to shoot her he gave away his position and as he tried to move off, her eyes trained on, she aimed and she fired. The shot hit on target and she kind of grinned to herself as she ran up the incline to a place of safety. She ran passed the guy that was looking at her still, shoving him out of her way as she made for more secluded area of in the North East corner of the room. Rounding the structure, she pressed her back to the wall and waited for a few moments, wondering if he’d had time to follow.

Enver: His target lit up as he rolled, her shot damn well the closest thing to perfection. He had given his location away, stupidly, as he wasn't even sure he could have made the shot anyways. And she made the most of it. He grinned wider, not even mad at her. In fact, he was quite amused and even slightly turned on? The male saw a flash white disappear around a corner and he thought better of following her. Instead, the male went behind a structure after pushing past two people in their twenties, going after some kid Keara had pushed out of the way. Brutal. He took to a corner of the structure and peeked out from a small "window" through the foam building and waited.

Keara: She felt him near but she wasn’t really sure how. She felt nervous though that could have been the adrenaline pumping through her veins. As much as she didn’t like to lose, she didn’t want to kick his *** either and she wasn’t entirely sure where they’d end up if she had to pick a place to go on a date. She looked around the corner of the structure but didn’t see him. She wanted to reach out with her mind and say something but it wasn’t worth the penalty she’d incur, so she sighed softly, bit her lip and ran across to a couple of stacked barrels over to her left.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Enver: He saw her getting impatient, or he assumed she was with the way she was looking around for him. He wouldn't give up his location the same way he had before. No way in hell. He bid his time, until a guy in a black t-shirt and dark stone washed jeans. "Hey buddy. Here's a ten if you'll run over that way." He pointed to where Keara was. "Since your buddy isn't too far from her." Enver pulled his wallet out and handed the guy the bill, who only looked at him. "Fine. Twenty." He pulled out another ten and greased the guys palm with both bills. The guy waited a few seconds, then took off in Keara's direction in a stealthy manner. Hoping to use that guy as a distraction, Enver circled around the other way and took aim at her, hitting his target.

Keara: While the guy drew her attention when he ran in her direction she instantly knew it wasn’t Enver. It was human and there was no mistaking that, not for her. Vampires gave off a different aura, but just having looked to the guy seemed to give Enver the chance to sneak up on her and take his shot. She looked down at the vest as lit up and vibrated, the light making her blink just long enough that if Enver was going to run, she wouldn’t know in which direction he fled.

Enver: He took off as fast as he could without using any vampire powers. He slid as he came across a slippery spot on the floor, probably from a drink someone had snuck in and tumbled in to a structure. The male rolled off it, trying to get to the other side of it before she knew where he was and could take aim at him.

Keara: She didn’t stay disorientated for long and she took off into the room, following the most likely route out of that corner, only to have her theory pay off as she heard a noise up ahead. Once more as he rolled for cover, she took aim and hit right on target. It seemed she was far better at hitting a moving target than a stationary one. Before she hit the wet patch on the floor, she pulled up, changed direction and ran off towards the centre of the room, the one place she was least likely to head due to all of her phobias.

Enver: The target lit up again, the male punching the foam fixture as he saw her run to the middle of the room. "What in the hell?" He asked himself, not at all understanding her logic in that. Other people moved past her, but other than that, she was in the middle, in the open. But then again, she wasn't trapped in by a corner either, like she had been. He crouched down to the floor and proceeded to follow her, ducking around random fixtures and hiding besides or behind them. He went behind a building, then around it and waited to figure out where she was heading and where she was going to seek shelter at

Keara: There wasn’t much in the centre of the room, but it did dip down slightly, giving her a slight advantage as she stayed low and made her way around a wall of foam blocks that would have come to her waist if she were standing. When she found what she believed to be a suitable place to stop, between a large foam column and the low wall, she waited, keeping an eye out for Enver as she had no idea if he was coming for her or if he too had sought shelter.

Enver: Somehow they had ended up at the same fixture, though it seemed she didn't know it. The male used that advantage for all it was worth and took aim. Her target lit up, he chuckled and ducked behind the building, hoping she had been distracted again by her lack of awareness or the target being lit up again

Keara: The vest went off again and while this time she was prepared for the sensation, it did stop her from returning fire in time, causing her to miss her shot. She laughed to herself and as she assumed he was likely off and running already, she headed over by the door where they’d first entered to find a structure she could climb to gain a height advantage. The game was fun, and while it was strange to have a date that involved running away from you boyfriend, it oddly suited them and their ways of late.

Enver: He hadn't moved very far, just enough behind the building to try and take another shot if she was still there. When he looked around the edge, he saw she wasn't, then turned around the side of the building to look for her running, but didn't see her. He wasn't going to stand and let her know where he was, he was, however going to move, under the assumption she was on the other side of the room.

Keara: She climbed the structure with relative easy, however she possibly wasn't as careful in her climbing as she could have been, as she was spotted by the guy she'd shoved earlier on. He was staring at her again but she hadn't noticed which meant she couldn't even consider why she'd drawn his attention this time, but her outfit was to blame regardless.

Enver: Some guy was standing in the middle of the room looking up. And getting shot at by the other team. Enver couldn't help but look up and see Keara climbing a structure. He wasn't even sure that was legal, which was why the guy was probably staring at her. Or maybe he liked what he saw. So Enver took a shot at him too for good measure to try and get his attention. Which didn't. He gritted his teeth together and decided to charge at the guy. His shoulder smashed in to the guy's back. "Sorry man." Enver said half-heartedly, when the guy fell face forward. Enver looked up with his gun and took aim and managed to hit her even though she was high up and still climbing. Not believing it, Enver stood there, shocked and dumbfounded.

Keara: She’d just reached the point she wanted to be at when Enver shot her. She huffed to herself as now she had no-where to go and she didn’t know if jumping was allowed as per their rules. Could a person jump from that height and land she wondered and quickly she surmised that the answer was yes, at least she was going to assume as much. As she jumped to the floor, she tried to shoot him and missed. As she hit the floor, she grinned, curtsied and ran for her life as two more successful shots by him meant she’d have to uphold her end of the bargain.

Enver: He chuckled, not from her missing him, but from her curtsey. He shook his head and let her run off, feeling overly confident now. The male waited and then veered to his right and stayed close to the wall as he went in deep on the playing field. He dove behind three fake barrels set up, looked up at the sky, half expecting Keara to be up there again, but didn't see her. He maintained his position and waited to hear or see her.

Keara: She doubled back on herself and was searching for him. She was using all her stealthiest tricks (without using powers) to traverse the terrain and soon spied him on the floor behind some barrels. Knowing he’d likely not be able to aim properly from the flat of his back if she approached by his head, she circled round, appeared right next to him, aimed for his breastplate and shot him mercilessly where he lay. “No time have you to rest My Enver,” her words were accompanied by her quirky grin. A moment later she was gone; off and running once more. Heading for the structure in north east again.

Enver: She was in front of him and he just stared at her. She had hit the light just right and Enver had seen a side of Keara he had to admit he had been wanting to see for a few nights now. Only, she was gone in a flash, the unintentional tease that she was. He chuckled, shook his head and worked his way around the barrels to see her heading away from him. The male ran to a column and hid behind it, then wormed his way to another one and took aim at her as she ran away from him. It wasn't the smartest shot, but his mind was in all sorts of places, like the fact Keara had pretty much flashed him in her white attire. The shot missed, as expected and he ducked to the ground, holding his position

Keara: As she heard someone fire their weapon, she turned and looked, firing out of instinct rather than through any real plan, her shot going wide as she ducked for cover. She had to get out of dodge quick and ran towards a couple of fake barrels, trying to duck down before he could get her.

Enver: He wasn't sure where she went, but he had to move. The male rolled to the other side of the field, to the closest column next to him, which was still a few good feet away. As he rolled, the male kept his eyes on the area she was behind as best as he could, then crept to her, snaking his way to her on the ground as he did this. He was all out of tactics and was trying just about anything he'd seen or done in movies himself. He popped out from the barrels with a laugh and tried to take a shot from above. He missed again and left himself completely vulnerable to his opponent with that move

Keara: She lay low for a while, trying not to draw any further attention to herself and wondering if he had in fact ran off again. She was just about to check when she heard a noise on the other side of the barrels she was hiding behind, so when he popped up she was ready. As he failed to hit her breastplate, likely due to the angle at which she sat, she couldn’t fail to hit him once more. “Truce?” she asked the quirky smile he knew so well puling at the corner of her mouth. If it wasn’t for the pesky no touching rule, she’d of pulled him straight over those barrels and run, only now, she had no-where to go without being exposed to yet another shot.

Enver: Truce? The male had to think about it for a second. "Name your terms Miss for this truce. Or prepare to eat...laser." He pointed his gun at her, the grin on his face apparent in his eyes.

Keara: “Terms?” she repeated in a questioning tone as she bit her lip. “Perhaps forgo the no touching rule we could, so that you I to my feet could help?” Her tone was hopeful and playful but a part of her was prepared for him to try and shoot her anyway while she was vulnerable.

Enver: He wasn't so sure about this. Something seemed...off. When did she need help getting up and when did she ever vocalize the desire for him to actually touch her? No, something was off, he decided. "Don't think so. Terms first." He took a step closer, as if he meant serious business. "I can help you to your feet afterwards." He nodded

Keara: “My Dearest Enver. If wish I did to shoot you, shot you by now I would have.” She said as if reading his mind, but really it was common sense, as he was hesitating and likely worried she’d seize the opportunity to shoot him first. She reached up and placed the gun over her head on the barrel directly behind her. “See. No ulterior motive have I,” she said now unable to shoot him even if she wanted too.

Enver: Maybe. He knew she was quick, quicker than him. He wasn't going to risk it. He took a shot at her and this time, he hit her. It wasn't luck, she just wasn't moving and his shot was perfect. "Now we can call it a rightful truce." He chuckled, put his gun on top the barrel and then yanked her up quickly, yet gently at the same time towards him. "Terms?" He asked her, his eyes searching her face.

Keara: She shook her head as he shot her and reached out her hands, allowing him to grab her wrists and help her right herself. As she turned to face him she replied. “Perhaps no terms necessary are. If a truce we have then neither wins and neither loses. That or an old fashioned duel we could have.” She shrugged ever so slightly as she rubbed at her wrists one after the other.

Enver: "Alright." He said, rather unexpectedly. Sometimes (or a lot of times) he was sort of competitive and he wanted to walk away the winner. He felt like he'd done a good game and felt like Lady Luck was on his side. "Let's duel."

Keara: She nodded. “Pick up your weapon. Turn. Walk five paces. Turn and fire. Okay?” She waited for confirmation before picking up her weapon.

Enver: He listened and grinned, hearing her directions. "Sounds good." He picked up his weapon and walked the five paces, then turned and made his shot. His blood would have been pumping if that were possible, excited and confident that he was going to win. Only, the shot missed her by a long shot and he stood there, almost dead panning.

Keara: She took her paces, turned and fired. She hit on target and was actually a little disappointed to have won as now she had to plan something equally exciting for them to do. She wasn’t exactly versed in dating in any century, let alone this one, so this was going to make her worry. Having won however, she didn’t gloat or cheer. She loosened the knot at the front of her skirt and pulled the material out from behind, letting her dress take its original form, although it now appeared a little more wrinkled than before. As she walked over to him she pulled the band from her hair and placed it back in her cleavage. “Better luck next time My Enver,” she said as she reached out her hand towards him. She had wanted to run her fingers through his hair for weeks now and it seemed like the right time to do so in that moment. So with a light touch, the fingertips of her right hand brushed lightly through his hair as she looked into his eyes.

Enver: His vest lit up and vibrated against his chest, which indicated she had won. He chuckled, not at all surprised, truth be told, even if he had felt slightly cocky seconds ago. He watched her collect herself, then let his eyes fall down to the hand that reached out for him. He was in front of her without a second thought, his eyes locked on her as he felt the other hand roam through his hair. He wanted to kiss her, but, as much as it pained him, he was a man of his word as best as he could be and so, he brought the other hand to his lips and kissed the top of it. "Indeed. Next time." He nodded, letting her know that there would be a next time. "Come on." He nudged his head to the entrance, not caring how much time they had left (which wasn't much anyways), his hand lacing through hers. "There's something else we've got to do before we go home."

Keara: She smiled at him as he kissed her hand and grinned all the more when he took hold of her hand and made for the exit. “There more is to this date?” she asked as she followed him to retrieve their belongings.

Enver: "Yes and no." Was all he said, grinning still as he took his stuff off, passed it to the guy at the counter, then moved to the locker. He shrugged in to his coat and while she was busy with her equipment, he fished in his pockets and walked over to her. "So, I sort of found this on the way here." He started off, not walking all the way to her, but stopping at the lockers end that was closer to her, where his shoulder rested against it. "It's nothing big or anything." He waited for her to come over to him and then gave her a small box.

Keara: She took off the breastplate he had fitted her with and then went to see what he was doing. He was standing quite casually against one of the lockers with a box in his hand. She wasn’t that familiar with jewellery boxes, so she couldn’t know what to expect to find inside. She took the box from him and opened it, a smile on her lips. “Very pretty it is. But believe I do not that this you found.” Taking his words literally as was her way. She took the ring from the case and gave him the box to hold while she looked at it. “Very pretty,” she repeated. It was more like something the old Keara might have worn than the new her as she didn’t tend to wear rings and yet it really was quite lovely. Holding it in her right hand, she then tested to see which finger it fit upon, the ring coming to rest on what was more commonly known to be the ring finger, the irony lost on Keara as she was already wearing the dress to match, something Enver couldn’t fail to notice. She played with it on her finger for a moment and then took back the box as she leant in to kiss his cheek by way of a thank you.

Enver: The grin grew as she commented on how pretty it was, twice. He didn't really just find it, he'd been looking for something to get her, other than movies, which was hard to do without something screaming "Marry me!" However, much to his dismay, she put the ring on her ring finger and left it there! He moved to tug at his collar as she kissed his cheek and cleared his throat. "Uh. You know, that ring looked really nice on your middle finger too." He said, then pushed the idea further. "I mean it's not that sort of ring. I mean, I wouldn't get that for that." He was stumbling over his words as he was trying to get her to realize what she'd done.

Keara: “Have I placed it wrong?” She asked having not even considered the significance of the finger on which it had found its home. “Fits there best it does.”

Enver: "We could always get it resized." He offered. "If you would rather have it somewhere else." He shrugged. "I mean, it's your ring. But usually other rings are put there. More expensive kinds." He didn't give more detail than that as he was beginning to feel claustrophobic as he talked?

Keara: When he grew decidedly uncomfortable she became acutely aware of the fact that the position of the ring held some sort of significance to him and it took a few moments before she realised why that might be. “Oh,” she began, already working the ring from her finger. “Wore a ring such as that I never have. Sure I am that just as happy it shall be upon my other hand,” she explained as she held it with her left hand and slipped it onto the same finger on her right hand. “Unless this also inappropriate is and then perhaps another size preferable might be.”

Enver: "No. That's alright on that hand there. And looks just as good." He commented, feeling as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. "But like I said, if you don't like it there, wear it where you want to." He said slowly, before holding an arm out to her. "Ready to go home?" He asked, casting a grin over to her.

Keara: She took and secured her dagger and then looped her arm through his. As they left she rather teasingly replied. "The ring only upon two of my fingers doth fit and one makes you quite uncomfortable. So live it shall upon my right hand."

Enver: He'd never admit that he felt relief in hearing that, but he did. Enver just nodded his head and headed them in to the direction of the train station, where they would catch the train back to the asylum for the night, a hundred thoughts at least running wild in his mind.
