--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

pov_ripper: electronic motors can be found where then, Doves?

thegardeness: you can buy them in shops
thegardeness: 2500 a piece if you have no discount

pov_ripper: nary a luddite about here now
pov_ripper: *tips his middle finger politely*

thegardeness: -She laughs- I have none on me, sadly, but I can get some for you at discounted prices, if you would like....a few hundred bucks, is a few hundred bucks -she rolled her shoulders.-

pov_ripper: um...normally that would be welcomed fine, but it is for my childer that I seek

thegardeness: Oh. Well, if he or she needs or wants to save money, I would be glad to help them, if need be.

pov_ripper: and here words ring with silver also
pov_ripper: *her

thegardeness: Wonderful!

pov_ripper: are you remembering to have routine fun lately?

thegardeness: Of course. Though, I think our idea is a tad bit different in concept, but for me it is fun none the less. You?

pov_ripper: you refer to our gracious monarchy-long may she reign?

thegardeness: -She laughed- You are something else, mister ripper. A word of advice on the part you seek and what it does...make certain the thing your child makes, is very well hidden. They are easy to find and it takes some great work to craft them, along with some great expense.
pov_ripper: I doubt she would be overmuch concerned with the loss...and just how great an expense might you say?

thegardeness: Well, you need copper pipes and the engines...if she does not have those things...they could cost her together, around four thousand dollars. -Her shoulders rolled again.- Might not seem like a lot, however, if she makes many, say four or five at four thousand a piece, just to be destroyed in a night or two, it hardly seems worth the effort, to me.

pov_ripper: *nods*
pov_ripper: although-to be fair- this does help to drive a market for them

thegardeness: Probably. It is not as if copper pipes are easy to come by for everyone
pov_ripper: so much better yet still they should be used in making explosives or PCP
thegardeness: PCP?

pov_ripper: Pretty Copper Pipes <.<
pov_ripper: it's an Art thing

thegardeness: I never heard of this art thing, but it sounds interesting.

pov_ripper: oh yeah-if you like that type...
pov_ripper: ;;
pov_ripper:

thegardeness: I would not know, as I have never seen any PCP.

pov_ripper: it's all the name of a Pop band I think.
pov_ripper: *also

thegardeness: Oh, then I doubt I would care for it.

pov_ripper: Yeah, you dodged a bullet one there. Some of us hads to grow up on radio

thegardeness: Oh, surely not all of it is bad. What of our homeland music? I doubt anything can compare.

pov_ripper: right you are, luv
pov_ripper: right you bloody are
pov_ripper: but that's still no excuse for Abba

pov_ripper: Liz...

thegardeness: Yes, Ripper?
pov_ripper: I have a question
pov_ripper: ...it might be very important

thegardeness: I may have an answer.

pov_ripper: Do you remember the Crow?
pov_ripper: our 30 pieces said Crow was a vampire once...but he's been known as a liar before.

thegardeness: Remember the Crow? Do not be silly, of course I remember her, Ripper. She is a truly magnificent being, do you not think so? Who else cares so much about the safety of our species that she keeps such a good eye on us all and lets us know when we may be in danger of another holocaust.

pov_ripper: yes, no-obviously now wha-
pov_ripper: cor! 'old a tick did you now have that wrote out or wot?

thegardeness: People wish to blame her for the deaths of our kindred, but in all honesty, she has never said such a thing, has she? We did what we thought was right or did what we wanted because we wanted to with the tools she has given us to know we may be in grave danger.

pov_ripper: I don't give a toss about all that 'nonse

thegardeness: Well, then why are you asking me such a question? What is it you wish to know, Ripper?

pov_ripper: let me ask a slightly different question then

thegardeness: Alright.

pov_ripper: did Crow have a body once?

thegardeness: Well, do we not all have bodies? That seems a strange question, do you not think so?

pov_ripper: I find the answer slightly queerer

thegardeness: -She laughed and shook her head.- Everything has a body, does it not? Unless you are suggesting the Crow is some god of some sort, which I had not pondered before, but perhaps she is, as her capabilities are so robust.

pov_ripper: *hands her a folded note*

thegardeness: -She takes the folded note and opens it.-

pov_ripper: The piece of paper was small and on it the words were simple and stark, they said that they were trying to revive Crow, that the ritual they were doing that night would have, or at least tried to revive the ancient being they all knew (but knew not at all really) as Crow.

thegardeness: This is a ritual, it seems? If by reviving, it means the same thing as the wraith guides wanting to have done to them. So, it proves that she is indeed, one of us, do you not think so? -she smiles wide, even though Elizabeth never had any doubts-

pov_ripper: I think that if the Crow were standing right here now I would pluck out one of her pinions
pov_ripper: now wouldn't that be just macaroni?

thegardeness: -She laughed- Everyone is so quick to hate her, when in fact, perhaps we need to look in the mirror at times. There is no crime in caring, Ripper. She cares to not see us endure another holocaust. It is not a pretty thing, my friend.

pov_ripper: so why would a god want to come down as a human?
pov_ripper: didn't Jesus do that one already?
pov_ripper: or is it the number of the beast

thegardeness: Well, she would come back as one of us, of course. -She nodded her head.- Perhaps she has nothing to fear by coming back, as it seems we may have a few "offenders," if you will, but all in all it seems our city has maintained a decent balance in things. You are asking me things, I know not of,unless she comes to visit me in my dreams as she did my sire

pov_ripper: now here then's a second question- why should a human care?
thegardeness: About what? Which human? The Crow? She would not be human, would she?

pov_ripper: why would she be human if she were killed as a vampire?
pov_ripper: unless...
pov_ripper: oh that's very Frankenstein Asimov

thegardeness: -she laughed and shook her head.- Which humans are you speaking of, Ripper?
pov_ripper: it's something Pi said...
thegardeness: Oh, I do not know Pi, or much of her.

pov_ripper: 3.14 that's about enough
pov_ripper: all of it you really need at that

thegardeness: -She laughed and shook her head.- You are in an amusing mood, are you not?

pov_ripper: no, this is normal for me
pov_ripper: Spoilers

thegardeness: Ahh, well. Have you any idea how to go about doing this ritual?

pov_ripper: *shrugs lightly* I gots an idea
pov_ripper: but it depends on the body to work

thegardeness: You think you need a host? Do you believe the Crow to be a mystic?

pov_ripper: the way I like to think about is 'between mediums'

thegardeness: Ahh, so if she happens to need a body, have you thought of a person to be a good hostess for our goddess?

pov_ripper: that would bloody well depend on where she is

thegardeness: I suppose you are right, but if you are going to offer her a hostess, mayhaps you could find a body and sort of offer it as a sacrifice of sorts and appease her to make her want to come to where you are.

pov_ripper: yeah, well *I* am not going through that bloody work...
pov_ripper: but that sounds right up for you and Lady Gwylia to start an artists weekly

thegardeness: I have not spoken to her much, if at all. Is she a lovely lady?

pov_ripper: she seems to be. I think you would get on

thegardeness: I may have to go see her later then. -She smiled at the suggestion.- As for this piece of paper, is there anything else you may be able to tell me about it?

pov_ripper: yes, much

thegardeness: Anything you are willing to share about it?

pov_ripper: I'll listen to reasonable persuasion

thegardeness: You want me to persuade you to share what you know? -she laughed and shook her head.- It honestly bothers me not, one way or another. I know the Crow will return, it is just a matter of time

pov_ripper:
pov_ripper: alright, here one for free then-
pov_ripper: I got it out of somebody's pocket

thegardeness: Human, Paladin, vampire?

pov_ripper: our kind

thegardeness: I see. Well, that means not much of anything. What is it you want to share what you know, Mister Ripper? And whatever you want, the information must be just as good.

pov_ripper: here's what I would like to know: **** You. that's what.
pov_ripper: do yah think you could write that one down for me?

thegardeness: You really should get more sayings. I have had that one tossed at you a handful of times now and each time it means less and less to me.

pov_ripper: and that's not a selling point?
pov_ripper: you always know *exactly* what it means

thegardeness: Not particularly, no. Yes, it means once again you have wasted my time with nonsense. Do have a good evening, Mister Ripper and do not seek me out anymore.

pov_ripper: my door is always open
pov_ripper: pip-pip

IM 6 Nov 2013 8:12:01 PM

8:07:57 PM pov_ripper: I can dispell wraiths

8:08:01 PM pov_ripper: I would do so for free

8:08:43 PM thegardeness: Even in knowing it was a tytonidae wraith? -she laughed and rolled her shoulders.-

8:08:51 PM pov_ripper: sure why not?

8:09:30 PM thegardeness: You are most amusing. Now, tell me why you sent me such an odd gift. Do you really think the **** has hit the fan, so to speak?

8:09:44 PM pov_ripper: step outside once in awhile

8:09:54 PM pov_ripper: out of your 'garden'

8:09:59 PM thegardeness: I do, I am often outside.

8:10:05 PM thegardeness: I was just in the catacombs this evening.

8:10:18 PM thegardeness: Are you keeping an eye on me, Mister Ripper? -she laughed-

8:10:39 PM pov_ripper: now why would I possible want to do that?

8:10:56 PM thegardeness: Besides, why would I want to leave my garden? It is beautiful and a work of art.

8:10:59 PM thegardeness: My work of art

8:11:06 PM pov_ripper:

8:11:24 PM thegardeness: You do not agree?

8:11:41 PM pov_ripper: never will you hear a word to that effect.

8:12:01 PM thegardeness: -she smiled brightly.-
