I got the phone bitches!

Post by Robert Pratt »

OOC - Please note, this is all written as if it were in Robert's mind and his thoughts whirling around.
Well, that had certainly been eventful. Who'd have guessed that the thought of a bit of fishing to relax would turn into.... well, that. It had started out as an idea to relax and unwind, sitting there watching the ripples of the water pass by as he cast his rod off the deck of the boat in an effort to catch a fish to throw back once it had been weighed and documented. He liked to see the moon all distorted in the water, and he sometimes even dangled his bare feet in the water. Tonight however, he'd got so much more than he bargained for.

First off, Oria had thrown him into the side of a boat so that he landed in the water - full body immersion with ritual items and electronics ruined. What they said about girls not being able to throw..... totally true as he'd discovered tonight. Then he'd gotten out and found himself pingponged around, ending up in the middle of a damn fight between some humans and some vampires he'd never seen. Meanwhile, god only knew what was going on on the boat he'd tried to get onto, that everyone had thought was so interesting - but obviously, something had been going down at the docks tonight and he'd not been in the loop in the slightest!

The most interesting thing he'd found about the night, while he was lying there on the ground, pinned under a vampire who was trying to remove his head..... Madison and Pi were trying to ******* shoot him. He'd not bothered them in months, he'd not thought about Pi in the slightest and was just glad to be rid of the dried up old ***** that she was. He'd not had to deal with any of her emo fits cause she'd not got what she wanted or cause she couldn't recognise feelings she was having. It had been wonderful. Yet now, tonight, while he was no threat to anyone - she'd thought it a good time to try and ******* shoot him? Well, **** her. She'd certainly get hers one night. And then Madison. Ahhhh Madison. His first bipolar childe who didn't know her *** from her elbow when it came to her emotions. One day she loved him. The next she hated him. One day she wanted and needed him. The next day she loathed and despised him. She was just like Ivy in so many ways, he couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head at how he seemed to attract the crazies.

Well, he had the phone and he had the clue as to where he could get more information from. He'd also given his card to that human he had managed to save, so there was always the possibility of him turning up at Solace or getting in touch. That way, maybe Robert could get a little more information from him about what in the hell had been going on tonight. He knew there was no way he could go to the meeting on Sunday night himself, but he wasn't sure who to tell, who to bring with him. He immediately thought of Enver. They might have had their fallings out, but they were always on the same page in certain circumstances - and as sick as it was, he knew that the only person allowed to hurt him in Enver's company, was Enver. And vice versa. It was a proper bromance.

There was also Killian, but he couldn't help but wonder if he could really trust the man. After all, he could tell Killian, who would tell fifth column. Which would mean that Alexandrea and ******* Madison would turn up, and of course, Madison's new bum chum Pi. Because he betted there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell that Madison could keep her mouth shut if it meant a little more 'special time' with Pi. So that meant Killian needed to be thought on a little more, to see if he could be trusted or not.

Of course there was Lizze, Serry, Oria and probably even Liam. Though he wasn't entirely sure about the man or the state of his mind since he'd returned from his..... well, whatever it was he'd been trapped in and why. However, he needed a chance, and he'd need to have it made clear that he was NOT to share the info around. Then who else? Perhaps Nix actually, he'd been getting more friendly with her recently and rebuilding the old bonds he knew he'd felt before Harper Rock and before vampires were a reality. Perhaps she could be trusted with the info - though, he didn't think that human life was too high on her list of priorities, which was always an issue. Now, who else?

Amaranthia popped into his head - randomly. Probably because he had seen her in the club a few weeks prior, and because she was funding the kiss or kill booth Enver had been running. The memory of that one made him smirk and let out a chuckle - because the entire night had been priceless. Anyways, he was sure the people who had seen him tonight would spread the word that he'd taken something - and if they wanted to know what it was, would come to him to ask. Some would get the right info, and some would get the wrong - it all depended on how nice they were to him, as well as who the **** they were. He was sure, that by the time the meeting came, a number of them would be slowly swivelling on his fingers.

He pulled out the phone and sat himself down at the desk in his office and pulled up the text message to read it again.

"Green Team on their way. Rendezvous Beta Towers. Floor 14. Sunday. 11 PM."

Well, he was going to have fun with this - and he was going to find out wtf was going on. One way or another. One of his spare phones was pulled out - his usual one having been soaked through in the river - and he began changing over his number and downloading everything from the cloud he'd set up. With how often he died or lost and broke his phone, it was an absolute necessity.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Killian Lynch: Killian got back to his crypt, and grabbed one of his spare phones from a desk drawer. The one he'd had was destroyed when he dove into the water earlier in the night. The man winced at the wound in his leg as he sat down and dialled a number that he hadn't had time to call in a while. Then he remembered that Robert's phone had likely gotten the same treatment as his, so he called the spare that he knew his brother had, and waited to see if it was answered.

Robert Pratt: Robert had made it back to Solace and was sitting there, smirking a little as he looked over the phone he'd taken from the poor body of the human that had been killed. He wondered how the one who'd gotten away would fare, and hoped he'd be well and safe - finding his way home from where he'd been teleported. He was sitting at his desk when one of the spare phones in the drawer began to ring. Opening it, he found the ringer and answered curiously. "Hello?"

Killian Lynch: Killian smiled on the other end of the line, glad to hear the man's voice, knowing that meant he had gotten back to Solace safely. "Robert, it's Killian. I was just calling to check up and make sure you got out all right. **** got a little crazy back there, and when I saw those other vampires moving toward you, I had to start spraying some cover fire."

Robert Pratt: Killian. So, not only did he know Robert's main phone number, but he also knew his spare numbers. The man was running out of excuses for his lack of contact over the last month. "Yeh, I got away fine. Despite Pi and Madison trying to ******* shoot me!"

Killian Lynch: "If it makes you feel better, Pi actually did put a bullet in my gut, but I got a round right back into her for it."

Robert Pratt: "No, not really."

Killian Lynch: "Didn't figure it would, but it was worth a shot. I'm really sorry about not getting a hold of you since you left Fifth. I won't let that happen again."

Robert Pratt: He snorted at that and shook his head, leaning back in the seat and kicking his feet up onto the desk. "Yeh, well, I soon realised how little you gave a damn as the days turned into weeks."

Killian Lynch: "I care, Robert. If I didn't, I wouldn't have done what I could to make sure you got out of that **** storm tonight. And I promise, I won't disappear like that again, brother." The sound in the man's voice was one of pure truth, like it had always been when he was speaking to Robert.

Robert Pratt: "Killian, you try to save anyone who's being attacked for no good reason. I could have been anyone and you'd have done exactly the same thing. I worked my *** off for fifth, I was hunted and killed for them, for the people there - and you let my ***** *** childe and the twat who got voted into second talk to me like a piece of **** on the bottom of their shoes they were trying to scrape off. They made it IMPOSSIBLE for me to do anything there, to help anyone, or to have a damn opinion. You let that happen man, and you did **** ALL about it." He was actually raging now, the hurt and anger he thought he'd put away spilling out and being fired down the phone.

Killian Lynch: "I did speak with Zen about what he had said to you privately, and he's almost completely silent upon things in Fifth Column that don't deal directly with what he's doing. And, even if I had said or done something with Madison, she still would've acted like she did, because she's as stubborn as anyone else in the group. You know that one even better than I do, since she's your childe. And yes, you did work your *** off for us. You really should have been the one leading things, but they voted to put me in charge... And, for the record, if that had been Velveteen, or Pi, or... well, a lot of people, actually, that had been getting attacked for no reason at all... I might've just walked away and let it happen. It's people that I believe are better than me that I would put myself in harm's way for. People like you."

Robert Pratt: "Actually, there was no vote for leader remember? They voted Zenn in over me, cause let's be honest - some of those fuckwits would have voted for anyone over me because most of them don't like me. And by saying nothing to Madison, you picked her over me - and I'm sorry, but I'm a hell of a lot more use, and a lot less hassle than she is." He sighed, realising he was whining. But after the night he'd just had..... "And what in the **** is up with her shooting me? Or trying to. ******* *****! I thought we were all supposed to be on the same goddamn side?! You put yourself in harms way, when she was the one trying to cause me harm! That's so ******* wrong!"

Killian Lynch: "I don't know what the **** happened there, man. **** went to hell in a hurry. All I know, was that I was told that there was a meeting, on a boat. So I showed up. And then that clusterfuck happened. I'm just glad I showed up with plenty of ammo."

Robert Pratt: "Yeh.... I went to fish. I knew nothing of no damn meeting. I just wanted to relax and chill with my pole!"

Killian Lynch: "I know one thing for sure, though. I'm not going to trust certain people in Fifth Column anymore. Especially not Madison. If it weren't for the fact that she can craft stuff better than I can, I'd be kicking that girl to the curb for the **** she pulled tonight."

Robert Pratt: "I'd be kicking her out anyways. You kick her - I'd come back. And I know a crafter who will make us anything we want for a small price. You kick her - I'll tell you what I found on that body I was praying over...."

Killian Lynch: "Robert, I can't play favourites like that. That's the kind of stuff that gets a leader disposed from his position and I don't know if anyone else has the ability to do any form of leading, let alone keep things going in the right direction. Besides, the only way in hell I would even think about showing up to anything related to what went down tonight, is just to make sure I can bail out anyone that needs help."

Robert Pratt: "As I said - you're choosing her over me. You said yourself she should be booted for the **** she pulled tonight. But you're too chicken **** to do it. Hell, you don't even trust her - and you shouldn't, she's so far up Pi's *** - but you're putting your life in her hands by letting her stay and see your plans and such."

Killian Lynch: "... You're right. And that's not at all what I should be doing. I'm going to give her once chance to explain her actions, then put her status as a member to a vote between myself, Zen, and Enver."

Robert Pratt: "See, this is why you need me man! You know I always saw things you didn't, and thought about things you'd missed. And vice versa. Hell - there wouldn't be ANY structure in fifth if it wasn't for me getting crap sorted."

Killian Lynch: "I know this, brother. That's why I'm doing what I'm doing. Priorities are being shifted to the right place."

Robert Pratt: "Uh huh. We'll see."

Killian Lynch: Killian had been typing on his computer during the last few minutes of their conversation, and he just laughed softly. "If you want, I can email you what I'm posting right now."

WHAT THE ACTUAL **** WAS THAT?! You shot at Robert tonight on the dock, when he was no threat to anyone. Not only that, but you were hanging out with Pi, who not only shot at Robert, but also did shoot some random chick, and she also ******* SHOT ME! There was a clear path behind me that you could have used to get the hell out of that situation if you'd have jumped from the boat straight to the dock.

There was no need at all for you, or Pi, to fire in the direction of Robert and I. And honestly, even less need for you to have even been hanging out with that backstabbing **** to begin with. Before you start trying to defend her, the chick she shot was the same one that got onto that goddamn boat with you guys. She had been your ally just minutes beforehand. That is low-down, underhanded **** that I would never condone among members of this group, and why you would even begin to associate with her, I will not understand.

Anyway, back on topic...

WHY THE **** DID YOU SHOOT AT ROBERT WHEN HE WASN'T A THREAT TO ANYONE?!

Robert Pratt: He snorted and shook his head as he read over the email Killian had sent to Madison. "You know she's not going to give a ****? She'll say something like 'I deserved it'. As for why she's hanging with Pi. You know Madison is a dartwat right? One of their special inner circle type things from what I can tell. Pi's her 'boss' and I bet Madison sucks up good and proper to her."

Killian Lynch: "I don't care if she gives a ****. The fact that I posted that on the main Fifth Column forum for the entire group to read is going to force her into answering the question and confronting me, and with how I worded it, there's certain to be plenty of insults and other **** coming back to me from her, which will lead to an even bigger reason for her removal. The political chess game is a pain in the ***, old friend."

Robert Pratt: Snorts and shakes his head. "You're saying that like I don't know it"

Killian Lynch: "It was more of a rhetorical statement than anything else. I'm just glad that I know how to play the game. ****, this gut wound's starting to hurt now. I'm gonna have to go and get my wounds taken care of before they drop me to the floor."

Robert Pratt: "Can't you just heal them?"

Killian Lynch: "I had to use too much of my strength already. That zombie constitution power is wearing off on the gut wound already. I had to make sure that I broke that one chick's gun arm so she couldn't keep shooting people... then I wanted to make sure I wasn't limping home and bleeding all over the whole way, so I used my Celerity."

Robert Pratt: "Ahhh, gotcha. Well, come round here and I'll do you some spirits?"

Killian Lynch: "If I wasn't exhausted, and bloody, and stunk of bay water, then I would. As it stands, I could use a shower, and a change of clothes, and a couple of packs of gauze in and over some bullet wounds."

Robert Pratt: "Fair enough - you go and do that then and I'll see you whenever. Let me know what happens with Madison."

Killian Lynch: "I'll be sure to keep you updated, brother. It was good seeing you tonight, even if it was utter insanity."

Robert Pratt: "Indeed. Stay safe" And with that, he hung up, still not believing a word the man said, but willing to give him a chance.

The grimy walls of the sewer passed by in a dark blur to Ripper as he ran full tilt through the narrow passage ways in hot pursuit for the rogue vampire vampire just ahead of him.

Taking a sharp bank into left turn, he barely had time to record the surprised face in a young vampire before it she was already past behind him without a blip and not here rocketing through all these twists and corridors like some sort of pixilated hedgehog.

( Not a threat. Isn't target.) Doesn't Register while

fangs extended at full point if he could only just put on this last burst of speed then he could almost taste it there in front of him-Yes!

a nanosecond flash of a white tennis shoe disappearing around the corner ahead in front of him gave him the last surge of energy needed to :D

Killian Lynch: Killian picked up his phone, and re-dialled the last number that had been called. Robert's. He had news for the man.

Robert Pratt: He was sitting at home with a warm cup of blood, still shivering and a bit.... shaken by the things he'd seen after Madison's little... visit. It had taken him a while to find his wits again and use his powers to heal himself, removing the effects of her waking nightmare - which amusingly had contained, well, he didn't want to dwell on it any longer than he had to. He jumped as the phone rang and he carefully picked it up, answering. "Hello?"

Killian Lynch: "Robert, it's Killian. I removed Madison from Fifth Column. Lizzie told me that she attacked you again, so I gave her the boot."

Robert Pratt: He shuddered again, a vocal shudder escaping his lips at the same time as he nodded. "Ok."

Killian Lynch: "Robert... are you okay?"

Robert Pratt: "Yeh.... I'll be fine. Just.... saw some **** NO-ONE should have to see. ***** used her powers on me!"

Killian Lynch: "Oh god... it was that nightmare ********, wasn't it? OH GOD YOU SAW HER NAKED DIDN'T YOU?!"

Robert Pratt: "I'm not talking about it" His voice was quiet, shuddering. "Not at all, ok?"

Killian Lynch: "Don't tell me... dear god, did she.. seduce you in that nightmare?!"

Robert Pratt: "I'm not ******* talking about it!" He snapped down the phone at the man, not wanting to think about it too much. He just wanted the visions gone from his head - especially as the damn effects had been healed.

Killian Lynch: "Robert, you need to hit the end button. Also, I've had the same ******* nightmare, so I share your pain!"

Robert Pratt: "Yeh, yeh. I've already healed it. Doesn't mean the memory isn't still there. Every. Time. I Close. My Eyes."

Killian Lynch: "Anyway.. you still want back into Fifth, since she's gone?"

Robert Pratt: "Zen going to apologise? And who else is all in there? What's going on and stuff?"

Killian Lynch: "Zen mostly stays quiet, just doing what he can to help Eskoph return to life at the moment.. It's me, Zen, Enver, Lofyn, Hariasa, Liam, Jezebel, Melody, Alexandrea, my childe Charlie, Teka, Gambat, Kira... As far as what's going on, we're working toward the same goals. Safe exposure, bringing the wraiths back, getting rid of Crow.."

Standing atop his ground quarry, legs straddled over on either sides of the fallen rogue like a colossus, the exultant Killer leaned forward to fully engage the sight and attention as he addressed the other 'pire.

"Now look here: leaving completely aside a moment the question of if you live or die afterwards; I'm going to pose a question to you now that I'd like you to at least honestly consider lending an answer towards.

Where does this *Ripper confronts the man with the scrap of paper liberated from Alexandrea, snapping it directly in front of his face where it can't help being viewed* sorry crock of bolluck ever get started from and what has *any* of you even thinking how there's a chance it might actually work?

"Everything you need to know is written there. It's possible. Believe it. Crow will rise."

*narrows his eyes staying still and quiet for a long unfettered moment as this idea washed into all the knowledge and assumptions that his mind knew must be true.
Rivulets of thought clash together and winds the stream of consciousness until it catches in new eddies*

...

What manner of body will he walk with?

"His true form."

*almost killed him right there for being so cryptic*

Desire to bleed and kill now struggling massively with a sharp hunger of desire to learn more, the Killer withdraws his hand holding a blade from the creature's neck yet addresses the vampire with just as much threat.

"Show me."

"I cannot show you what I have not seen. I have the message but I am not the messenger."

"The difference being how the messenger isn't supposed to know what message is they keep.

I think you peeked, mate."

*lets the balance hang there before the pendulum almost certainly sways onto the side of now killing him.

The truth of this shows plain in his eyes and body although one last question is asked before the muscles of his arm clench for the deed.*

"Who sired you?"

"I do not know."

Ripper places the child out of both their miseries.

Robert Pratt: "Few I don't know there. But, yeh, no harm in trying. See how it goes and all."

Killian Lynch: "The newer names were personally approved by me, after extensive interviewing."

Robert Pratt: "Ok"

Killian Lynch: "Alright, go ahead and get yourself sorted, mate, and call me later on when you've scrubbed your brain with bleach. So, that thing you were talking about earlier.. Colour me curious. What'd you get off that body last night?"

Robert Pratt: "Hmmm?" It took him a while to remember, his mind still swirling with images that were truly horrific to him. Then it clicked and he nodded. "Yes. A phone. With a text message on it, about another meeting."

Killian Lynch: "Another meeting? When, and where? I'd like to be there to do what I can to protect people.."

Robert Pratt: "Mmm Hmm. It was taken from the human that was dead, and so I'd presume it was his. Also, the phrasing was rather.... odd. It seems they are, organised. I'd guess perhaps at a larger organisation than just, a drug deal gone wrong. And, who's this being shared with? This info?"

Killian Lynch: "At the moment, I don't plan to share it with anyone, except maybe Enver."

Robert Pratt: "Well, if Enver wants to know - you can send him to me. I don't want this information to get into the wrong hands you see. But it seems it's in Beta Towers, up on one of the upper floors. I don't have it to hand right this second, but yeh. Sunday night, late."

Robert waited and no response came. Instead all he got was a dial tone. He shook his head and set his phone aside, feeling the old anger building within him and deciding he needed to meditate to clear his mind of everything that had happened in the last couple of days. Madison was ******* insane with her ‘Daddy’ issues, and Killian was using him. Great.

Enver: *texts* I heard something interesting a few nights ago by Killian. The reason why you were being attacked by Madison, is because you found something? Something about the Fae. Think whatever it is you found is legit, or might it just be some hoax, or kids screwing around?

Robert Pratt: He'd been sitting meditating after another conversation with Killian, where the man had annoyed Robert again. His phone tingling away made the man groan as he opened one eye to see where his phone was. Picking it up, he brought it to his face and swiped and pressed the touch screen to see what was going on, and chuckled when he saw the message. "No, Madison was shooting at me because Pi was shooting at me - both women are just upset they wanted to **** me and I turned them down. Because seriously. Who would? Really? But yeh, I got something. And it looks legit to me. Interested in coming with me to see wtf?"

Enver: *As Enver waited for his reply back, he did a couple of last minute things at the theatre. When the reply came, Enver read it and chuckled. He shook his head and replied, not real sure if that was true or not, but he didn't care. What he cared about was the truth. If it was about the fae, then he was certain it was bad news all around. He replied * Yeah, I am. Might not be a bad idea to have a couple of people on the same page more or less going sticking together.

Robert Pratt: "Well, no idea where you got the idea it's Fae from. But there were a load of humans attacked by a bunch of vampires. I managed to save one of the humans by teleporting him away, but another was killed. When I was sending his soul to Lux, his phone went off. I took it from him, started getting shot at so bolted. Seems the text that came through was about some meeting this human was supposed to be at. But....." He frowned, wondering how to phrase it. "The way the text was constructed, they seem..... organised. Not just some guys who were jumped."

Enver: * Replied* Any idea why the vampires were attacking the humans? Were they vampires we know? * He frowned, while he rubbed at his jaw, not liking the sound of this any.*

Robert Pratt: "No, never seen this lot before. And you know me - I like to know faces. As for why, there was something going on, on a boat. Oria tried to get me up there but, well, suffice to say, she failed. So I don't know, but after they left the boat, these vamps showed up and mugged them, then tried to kill them. So, I'm wanting to head to this meeting they're all having to see if I can't protect the humans. I mean, if the damn vamps knew about last time - they might know about the next one too. Right? Plus, if we can get on their good side - maybe we can see what's going on and why they're interesting to others."

Enver: *He nodded his head, thinking on that and replied* Yeah. Well, count me in. What do you need me to bring? When are we meeting up and where at? I can try and send Hannah in early to see if she can scout the place, if need be.

Robert Pratt: "Cool." He thought about what the man had said and what had happened last time. "Well, fishing equipment wasn't much use. lol. Just make sure you're rested and can use your powers to their full extent. I hate to say it, but maybe a weapon? Do you fight? I don't tend to myself. But you'll need a way to defend yourself. I don't think we'll be alone. I think Killian's coming too. But we need to be careful. But yeh, Beta Towers, 14th floor at 11pm. Meet you just before? Say, 10:45? Then we can head up and be ready for.... well, who knows what!"

Enver: Sounds good to me, man. I try not to fight, but I'll defend myself if need be. And my friends. And I'm pretty well capable of using all my powers, if need be. Let's just hope we won't have to. * He hit send, then jotted down the information Pratt had given him on a piece of paper, then stuck it in his pants pocket. *

Robert Pratt: "Excellent, and same here. I shall see you later then. Cross your fingers for us. I think we might need it!" He frowned as his phone beeped, telling him someone had come in the door. Frowned because it was only the sensor alarm and not the camera. Which meant it was a vampire, hidden as opposed to someone looking for help. He set his phone down beside the one he'd got from the human on his desk and got up, heading out into the main area to try and see who was there.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Doc: IC - Doc left Nemesis' apartment still pondering the implications of what she had told him. He knew if he asked Pi she wouldnt tell him ****. So if he wanted answered he was going to have to get them himself. He needed to pay Pratt a visit. The question was, would Pratt go back to Solace? Or whould he go someone else? Only way to find out was to head south and slip in, all quiet like. For once, his shitty powers were actually going to be useful for a change. Doc hung about outside watching. He wanted to get a feel for the place. Wanted to see how many people came and went, hopefully catch sight of Pratt. He watched for a full hour before slipping into the cover of shadows and unsing 'uninvited guest' to make entry. Once more he took up a position and just waited.

Robert Pratt: He frowned as his phone beeped, telling him someone had come in the door. Frowned because it was only the sensor alarm and not the camera. Which meant it was a vampire, hidden as opposed to someone looking for help. He set his phone down beside the one he'd got from the human on his desk and got up, heading out into the main area to try and see who was there. "Hello?" He asked, looking around and beginning to wander. A few people looked up at him curiously and he smiled at them, waving. They went back to what they were doing, used to him and his weird ways - especially what with him being a vampire and all that came with it. "Hello? You've nothing to fear here. Can I help?" He asked again, no-one looking around this time and just letting him do his thing.

Doc: As Pratt came into the area, Doc realized that there was a sensor alarm on the door. So now he had to be more careful. If there was one on main doors, there could be some on other doors as well. It was a chance he was going to have to take. Moving carefully, Doc managed to position himself in such a manner as to be able to follow Pratt back through any doors that might have sensors on them. With luck, it would just look like Pratt moving through the building and no one else.

Robert Pratt: Robert stood there and waited, looking around, hoping that the shy person would show themselves. His hands rolled his shirt sleeves up and then pushed themselves into his trouser pockets as he rocked on the balls of his feet waiting. His face was smiling as he tried to look unthreatening, friendly and welcoming as he waited and hoped they'd show themselves. "If you need help, you're always welcome here." He said again, making the people around him smile.

Doc: Doc could be patient when he wanted something; it was having to deal with people that made him impatient. People's general lack of intelligence taxed his patience to a high degree. Mainly because most people spoke first and thought second, if they did at all. However, in this particular instance, he could wait patiently, because he wasn't having to deal with idiots. He made sure to note the specifics of the room, and the people therein, for future reference. The people were mostly ignoring Pratt, as though this was a common thing he did, come out and talk to no one. That would hopefully continue to work to his advantage.

Robert Pratt: Robert waited a few more minutes, walking around the main area where people were eating, chatting, watching TV and getting help filling out forms. He poked his head into the little shop and waved to the cashier, noting the queue for the ATM and wondering about getting a second. Nothing was there however and no-one showed themselves, so he moved on. He checked the gym and the meditation room, noted the salon was being used, and then crossed across the main room to look in the ritual room, computer lab and crafting room. Still nothing out of place or out of order. He went down the corridor and listened at the changing room doors, and hearing no screaming or shouting, finally checked the pool. There were plenty of people using the facility, making use of the community centre he'd set up, but nothing untoward or out of place. So with a sigh, he made his way back to his office and hoped that whoever had come in, would find what it was they were after.

Doc: Pratt was just a suspicous as he was. But it worked in his favor, since Doc was basically given a tour of Solace, along with a much better idea of how many people were there. He was surprised, really. It seemed to be a rather popular place with the human crowd. Hell if he had been human he might have actually gone there himself. Eventually Pratt headed back to his office, and Doc moved right along with him. He took stock of the office, and the items on his desk.
