Rituals... She was drowning in rituals lately and she was loving every minute of it. Finally she was being used for something that she actually knew. They were her main focus and now she could prove to Tytonidae and Vel that she was good at them. It was great. The only issue she had was keeping up with the items that she used often as a few of them were hard to finds and took several people looking for them to get a decent amount to last her for a couple of weeks.
The item this week that was the ***** to get...Unholy Relics.
Rina was constantly over-burdened with items but she was fine with that. She knew that if she didn't look in her bag then she was more than capable of continuing on her merry way until she was asked if she needed anything and she had to take inventory. That was when she kept herself sitting at the ritual alter until she used a few items. It could be worse though...she could still have less room in her over flowing pouch as Vel never had to let her borrow the Titan's bracelet that she had slapped upon her wrist.
Slipping out of the Eyrie, she made her way to the catacombs to kill a bunch of 'old dusties' in an attempt to find as many Unholy Relics as she could. Her mind never moving to her bag or how heavy it would get as she was on a mission and that mission would help protect the Eyrie against those that weren't allowed to enter. Ancient Zombie after Ancient Zombie was slain and yet all she would find were bones or the other relic they carried. None of them seemed to be dropping what she needed out of spite.
A grumble slipped passed her lips as she passed a mooncalf, looking for another Ancient Zombie as she was determined and nothing would deter her from her quest. Well nothing except performing a ritual. Outside of her to-be husband, killing masquerade violators, dancing, Zodiac and Tytonidae...there was very little that could sway her attention away from rituals.

It seems that the catacombs have become almost like a second home to him, as he spends almost all his time down there fighting through the most old of the zombies in the city. Though, he’s sure, a gun of some sort would he better to fight them, he prefers to use blades and his fists. For this evening he has taken to a particular part of the thick dirt caked walls. The south catacombs have a place down a hallway with various rooms of body holes. Those places carved from the sides to house the skeletons of long dead humans. Even these bones are a bit rotten and have mostly being dust now. There are a litter of bones around him, may bodies of the ancient zombies around him. He does pick up the things from them that could be used for rituals and until siring Ursula he wouldn’t use them for anything but making money. Now though he generally just drops them off on her. This so far has been the best way of doing things lately. Finally he clears the entire area and then makes his way north to the next little alcove. The swords are drawn and he’s ready to kill the next shambling mess of bones.
This open area doesn’t have nearly as many zombies as the one before but he charges the first one with just as much ferocity as he attacked the ones in the last opening. Each alcove is another set of zombies to attack as he destroys them. Turning a corner he looks down the corridor and sees a woman doing the same thing that he is doing. He stops and waits to see which direction she will go on her killing path of killing these creatures. There isn’t a need for him to get in the way of her or really vice versa. Sheathing his blades he moves his hands into his pockets and then continues the wait. Each moment that passes he takes a second to scan the other vampire. She has a ring on her finger, so it’s obvious she’s either married or getting married soon. Then for a moment there is a scent that seems familiar to him. It’s the same scent that he has picked up while he has been in the Eyrie once before. Granted, he only knew he was in the Eyrie because that is where Meka told him he was.
Though she smells familiar (which would be a great way to start a conversation), he isn’t really sure who she is. Though he’s sure she has something to do with the faction headed by Velveteen. The thought doesn’t stay long as he hears the scrap of bones on stone behind him and he turns around. There comes another ancient, almost as if it had just crawled out from the wall. Turning on his heels he draws the weapons again, both blades scream a bit as they come out. They shine and glow a bit as they come out. Each blade bites into bone and breaks binds that hold them together.

Rina had picked up the scent of another but there were always people coming and going in the catacombs. Most of them looking for lot to sell while they worked on their skills and others down there for the same reason she was...gathering items that was needed for rituals, maybe crafting too but she wasn't entirely sure about that given that she didn't have a clue about any of them. She just knew that the traps hurt like hell when they blew up in your face or shot you in the gut. She hated them and didn't trust them even though she knew they were important.
There was a heavy groan and shuffling coming from behind her. As she readied her gun, she spun just in time to see another take down the Ancient Zombie. Tilting her head, she stepped forward. Whether he meant to protect her when she was caught off guard or not, he did just that. Her eyes looked up at him as she gave him a smile and nodded.
"Thank you for that." She reached her hand out toward him in a greeting. She wasn't sure who he was but better to make friends than enemies and it was always a circus of people in the Catacombs and the last thing anyone needed was to make enemies who would shot you instead of the bad beasties that lurkd. "I'm Karina. I don't think I have seen you around before. Are you new to Harper Rock?"
Placing her gun in the hulster as she didn't want him to think that she was hostile toward him even with her being friendly...well as friendly as one could get in this city while maintaining her bold new presence. She looked him over. His tattoos were unique and his hair was longer than some kept in this city which would make it easy to spot him later should she seem him.
