Everyone says.. 'Vampires don't breathe"..

But they do talk...

The power for your voice comes from air that you exhale. When we inhale, the diaphragm lowers and the rib cage expands, drawing air into the lungs. As we exhale, the process reverses and air exits the lungs, creating an airstream in the trachea. This airstream provides the energy for the vocal folds in the voice box to produce sound. The stronger the airstream, the stronger the voice.

Try to talk without breathing.

So do vampires HAVE to breathe - no. Do they? They do if they talk.

Multiple part question... With or without the RP Power Necromancer's Lie, if a Necro were to pass over all the way into Shifter, acquiring Daywalker on the way...

1) Does the corpse visage decrease in severity due to the fact that they're no longer burnt by the sun?
1.1) Would it lessen the same in bright light?

2) While in Meaner Things, would the sunlight/bright light affect their animal form without Daywalker?
2.1) With?

Does ultraviolet light affect Vampires the same as sun light does?

So I was thinking on this earlier and I feel weird asking about it because I’m probably thinking on it more than I should. In roleplay, could a vampire with teleport 2 that is pregnant with a fadebeast use it to get the creature out if she focuses on it hard enough? The power automatically teleports demi-fae out of a failed ritual circle to prevent injury, so could it work to remove a fadebeast from the body? There would already be a significant amount of damage done physically and emotionally.

edited for wording

Crownet is a complicated and advanced mixture of telepathy and encrypted data from all over the internet. While it might be possible to "trace" Crow, you'd only find that something was done from some random unrelated machine. I can't reveal much more than that right now.

Seriously, though. How should Enchanter be RP'd? I don't quite get how an IC power could affect the Crow's decision-making process.
No cookies for you.

Crow increases bounties based on how much you've screwed over vampire kind. If you have enchanter, then less people are suspicious or aware, which is better for vampire kind. Might not have been an allurist's intentions, but it does mean less people are looking for the offender.

I know we get the grid message, but how does it translate to rp? How does the character know who inspired him or her? Is it a signature essence, or is it a telepathic idea?
I would imagine it'd be the same as all the other powers where you somehow know who cursed you, harmed you, etc. Just a matter of sensing who did it (if I'm remembering my past replies correctly).

Nyla wrote:Okay so with these new cool RP curses :D

Nyla is an allurist, who now has permanent fangs. Would her reflection show this new change? Because that would look hideously awesome >.> A fanged corpse is even creepier than a regular one.
Writer's choice.

So, here I be, asking about it. What would it take to knock out a vampire, and, if one were to ingest the blood of a human cracked out, what would it do (if anything)? Lord knows, there's enough meth walking around.
I believe both questions have been answered in the past. But to recap: vampires can be knocked out just the same as humans can (probably takes a little more, like a cracked skull perhaps), but they don't stay down for very long. They heal 20 times faster than the average human, so they'd be awake 20 times as fast. Similar answer for the drugs thing; drugs do have an effect on vampires, same as poisons, but it doesn't last as long. Plus if it's a drug that can be found in the blood, it probably wouldn't be as potent by the time the vampire drank from the human.

That's on the wiki. They don't have to breathe, at all, but they do it sometimes just to keep up appearances. Or yeah ... to talk, lol.
