Re: Canon Q&A With David

Post by Hariasa »

Since Hariasa's asked the question, I'm actually a bit curious.

If a vampire has a vision (like Isabella Drake's original vision from Crow) or a very realistic dream, how would that show up if a Telepath tried to read their memories?

Would the vision or dream show up at all? Would it be obvious that it is a vision/dream?

PsychoCliff wrote:In what ways can PC Paladins show their abilities to Human PC Characters to convince them of the supernatural?
Well although their abilities aren't always super evident, their "stats" are. They are stronger, faster, heal very quickly, and so on. They could cut themselves and shot it healing up very fast (nearly as fast as a vampire), or they could lift something insane. Their turning power is also described as being kinda supernatural looking (when you fight one in PVP), so they could use that power to show off that they aren't totally normal human beings.

PsychoCliff wrote:Could it be possible for a Paladin to capture a Zombie in the Qzone and take it outside of the Qzone to expose the undead to humans? Or would they like, die outside of the Qzone cause of the rift or something? Or in an RP a group of Paladins attacking and capturing a feral vampire to expose it to humans?
They don't die outside the rift, but don't forget that humans already know about zombies and such, but they believe they are simply infected humans. Although getting a closer look at one would make some of them suspect that more is going on, most would still believe that something plausible and scientific is responsible, rather than undead spirit stuffs.

Wendigo wrote:I've been playing with Wraiths in Digo's journal thread, but I'd like some clarification for some things. I know that Wraiths can appear/manifest to humans, but I have some other questions relating to this:

1.) Do manifested Wraiths have a human appearance?
2.) Were Wraiths present in Harper Rock prior to the Veil Tear?
3.) If a Wraith manifests... can it manifest to a particular human/vampire... or is it an all-or-none appearance?
4.) Can a Wraith affect any other human senses (auditory, tactile, etc.)?

I don't think Digo's thread will need to change based on these answers... but the answers may or may not be indicative of how serious his underlying psychoses are.

1) They look like black silhouettes. Human shape, yes, but featureless. Spirits on the other hand just look like regular ghosts. [1]
2) No, but spirits were. [2]
3) Yes it can appear to one person but not others if it wishes.
4) They can speak, and according to the wiki they "are mostly unable to manipulate physical objects", but some can, if only slightly.

Serenity wrote: Seeing as zombies already been taken out of the QZ I doubt it matters if it's a Paladin or not. The QZ and Catacombs have both been crash/blown up.
The QZ was pretty much instantly repaired by the army, who stopped most undead escaping. The undead are, by and large, still contained.

Phoenix wrote:If someone is RPing as being out of Harper Rock for an extended period of time and they're killed (on the grid during that period), would they be permanently killed/able to return?
If they are killed outside of HR, then they are unable to return to life as anything other than a wraith for now (which would also take a long time to return, due to the fact that they died so far away). I wouldn't force perma-death on anyone who roleplayed it by accident, but it's something to be mindful of.

Quoth wrote:What is the extent of the Tattooing done to Paladins? I.E. Face, hands, arms, back, torso, etc. Are they covered Yakuza style or is it just a few key works of ink?
They aren't totally covered, but the more tattoos given to them, generally speaking, the more powerful they can be, if their bodies can handle it. Most have at least enough to be considered pretty well inked up, by modern standards.

That's more of a game question, but no they don't.

Their tattoos might remain (I believe I left it to player choice?), but they lose the powers those tattoos hold.

Ripper wrote:Does selling to Blood Thieves (or killing them) still have any impact on Chapter development?
Not right now, no. The current blood thieves generally are just after power, and want to keep their powers as secret as vampires do. Mostly, at least.
