If you use alter ego, you essentially look like someone else. So why are cops shooting you when you look like a different person?
Why are you taking me through troubled waters, I asked? Because your enemies cannot swim, he replied.

I think the answer to that would be: You don't know how much that person is wanted by the police as well. Just because you think you took on the face of someone who is less likely to be wanted doesn't mean that they're not wanted for questioning for something.

true, but every time?
Seems a bit suss. I'm sure not every face Liz takes ((liz alter egos almost every day tbh)) would be wanted. If so, well we're all doomed.

It doesn't take much from my understanding for the cops to shoot at someone. Even if they haven't done anything for weeks (months even) and have 0 and then up and killed a gangster or a blood thief, they would find themselves 'wanted for questioning' at which point, they have a chance (slim as it might be) of being shot at by the police.
Serenity for example, not likely to be wanted by the police most days, but I do one failed B&E with her or kill any human type NPCs and she has a chance of being shot at. The more done, the more likely she is to be shot.
Hence a character might not come off as being wanted but they could be wanted for questioning and the police in Harper Rock seem to have a habit of shooting first and asking questions later

Re: Canon Q&A With David
I've answered that one before:Hadrian wrote:If a vampire, who is blind (but not since birth, but was at turning) has their eyes gouged out, would their sight return when the eyes heal back, or would they return to the state of blindness at their turning?
"I think it's partly answered somewhere in the wiki. But just as a general answer: it varies from one vampire to the next. The vampire's appearance is more about who they see themselves as (to a greater or lesser extent depending on which path the vampire is). I would imagine that a vampire who was very much used to missing an eye would still be missing that eye when turned."
I'd say player choice on both of those examples....or would being turned restore their sight right away?
For that matter, if Mystics have to possess a new physical body when they return from the SR, could they find themselves suddenly blind after possessing the body of a blind man? Or perhaps the reverse if a blind Mystic possessed a sighted body?

Re: Canon Q&A With David
It's not possible on grid. In roleplay you could use both powers in conjunction for various purposes, as you see fit.Slaanesh wrote:Is it possible to combine the Allurist power Silver-Tongued (convince a shop keeper to give you 10 percent off anything you buy, or 10 percent extra when selling items back to them) and the Telepath power Palterer (get 25% off your next purchase) for a 35% discount on an item?
Silver-tongued is more than just a skill. All powers are more than simple skills; they are powers. Using them together would be like using the allurist self-glamorising powers (for want of a better term) and the telepath mind-control powers at the same time, which yes, could be pretty effective. If so, how does it work RP-wise? Silver-tongued implies that your character is just better at talking to the shop-keepers, but Palterer says you control the merchant's mind for the purpose of getting a discount. Does combining the powers simply make your character seem extra persuasive (on the grid)?
Again, it doesn't work on grid, but it's up to you how to your roleplay it.And if it is possible to combine these powers, does the combination work on everyone that sells an item from a grid shop? Magic shops, regular shops, Forge, etc

I don't wish to reveal exactly how Crow is capable of seeing so much just yet. Some mysteries IC are better maintained IC if I don't reveal them OOC.My questions is this.
For Impact thread purposes, how does Roleplaying and Getting a bounty work together?
I've heard many different thing, but the most popular thing I heard, is Crow watches through security cameras all around the city. Though, since Crow is a Telepath, supposively >.> Still say he's a Fae, i'm wondering if there are other methods.
No. It might seem like an eternity, but that would just be a relative perspective from somebody suffering or dispairing.ETA: Also crossed my mind. Does time move differently in the Shadow Realm in RP terms? Not Grid.

Suzette wrote:Sorry if this was asked before and I missed it. Did look but am only human... lol.
If a killer's body is cremated how to they come back?
It was answered before, yes.
"Paths are not quite as different from one another as some might assume. In essence, a killer is still a spirit made flesh, same as a shadow is. As such, a killer whose body is utterly destroyed would find it more difficult to return to life (and the process might take longer, roleplay-wise), but failing the ability to re-possess their own bodies, a killer would return to life in the same way a necromancer does (being the path's neighbour).
"Their rebirth is similar in this way; they return as little more than husks, and gradually build back to their full human visage.""

Re: Canon Q&A With David
It's in read memories, yes. I'm hesitant to say yes to a telepath knowing the information in any other way, so you should juts rely on the read memories thing for RP purposes.Enver wrote:Due to the new bound tome going around and some characters being bound, would a telepath be able to sense a difference or some connection between two characters that are bound, of it it's like....hey, don't ask, you don't know, is it legit?
Also, it's in read memories, I believe. So then telepath's can find out that way, right?
>.>
EDIT: Wait, yes it seems that I said it's IC knowledge for any path, as long as the other person knows or has met the companion character.
