Pen to Paper

Post by Echo »

She'd found the legal pad in the nightstand drawer along with a ball point clicky pen and decided to place her thoughts down before she wandered off to find her once again husband.

Pen and paper, how quaint. I can't recall the last time I wrote more than a grocery list... hell not even that, with an actual pen and paper. It seems to be a lost art. And there you have it, the first few sentences completely useless and having nothing to do with any thing at all.

I'm currently in Fiji with Malachai. Yep, that's right. Malachai. Seems New Orleans did more for our friendship than either of us realized. That accidental run in helped clear the air between us and we once again became friends. Good friends. We shared a lot of highs and lows over the last months and I have to admit, it was nice to have some one I could trust to talk to.

I've also sired two new childer in the last months. Solene, my London import. And Christopher, my baby brother. It's nice having them both here, though I still feel guilty for terrorizing Sol before I turned her. I guess blood loss makes me a little nutso. She doesn't seem to have any regrets though, which is good. And neither does Tophy, which is even better. I don't know how I'd react if Tophy hated me for what happened.

Back to Malachai... we were re-married a few days ago, a week ago today, actually. It was a lovely and private Catholic ceremony. There was no one there but us, the Priest, a few Alter Boys and some Nuns. It was perfect. Once we'd told our respective families, we ran off to begin our honeymoon. I have to admit, after all that happened in the weeks before we got married, it's really nice to be out of the city. Hell we don't even know when or if we'll return. Which is really nice. The only expectation is to spend time with each other. Which is what I should be doing. So on that note, I'm going to get out of bed and go find my husband. Maybe I'll write again while we're on this trip, maybe not.

Tossing the pen in the drawer, she took up the legal pad and wandered in to the living room. She grinned when she saw her husband and padded over to the fireplace. She tossed the pad in and watched as it caught flame before taking his hand and heading out to the patio.
